⋆ MIDNIGHT SHADOWS is the ninth mini album by ØCEANA. it was released on AUGUST 21, 2023. The mini album has six tracks, a total of 18 minutes.

ØCEANA performed the track " lion " for seven weeks. they performed the second title, " eve, psyche and the bluebird's wife " for another three weeks. the track " lion " won twelve music show wins. the track "epbw " won eight music show wins.

this was the first comeback for oceana after leaving hybe and under enca labels. the girls all seemed very anxious the first few moments on stage but then they all seemed to visibly loosen up after hearing pearls' cheers.

when asked about this incident later on eunchae's star diary, naomi said that this is the first time they felt this nervous after their debut stage and that it felt like they were debuting all over again.

this era brought so many interactions between oceana and various other artists and pearls were being fed left and right.

pearls said that they haven't seen the leader be this happy since dancing aurora era and it felt like their old hanbyeol was back.

this album and their new agency was promoted to the t. kpop fans were later shocked to find out that ivy too had joined enca labels as the first and only soloist.

eagle eyed fans spotted a few familiar figures in the backsatge clips but eventually were shut down by pearls defending the girls and the other idols.

the most shocking news of all in this era had to be the dating news of skye and taehyun from tomorrow by together! the fans were surprised but really supporting of the couple! taehyun was even spotted to a few of oceana's pre recordings which made pearls and moas really coo.

all updates from since i met him (a week ago)

day 1:

i first met him, thought he was a lil scry and tall, turned out he was really nice! he made a lot of jokes lol :DD

day 2:

i noticed he was abit sad, so i came up to him and asked if he was okkey. i stayed w him and did my best to comfort him most of the time, he picked my up and also hugged me and 'captured' me a lot (≧∇≦)

day 3:

i started to fall v hard. i waved to him earlier during break and he hugged he a lot and stayed w me all the time lol. we anded up talking and hugging and holding each other when we weren't practiscing!!

day 4:

the actual performance. he was one of the first people to immmediately pick up the fact i was very scared, he asked if i was ok and when i didn't respond, he hugged me. we preetty much stayed likethat inless we were disturbed by cues and stuff. we walked to and from the audotorium together. in the second half when he had to go to set and lights, he promised me he had my back and old me where 2 find him. he gave me a really tight hug and said i could always tell him anything and i never had to be ashamed.

day 5:

they started arguing so i got really stressed and hid in the corner of the backstage `(*>﹏<*)′. pretty soon he came over and started hugging me and asking me if i was okay, he nodded, but he still said that he would stay w me until i felt better and he hugged me a lot. during the interval, we went outside to the park and he held me and we cuddled a lot. he said 'lets experiment w positions' and we both took it the wrong way and started laughing (≧∇≦) but later he called me pretty and said i had a lot of nice personality traits and said 'i was good at being amazin' <3 he also playe w my hair a lot and dueing the second half, since backsatge was understaffed he stayed we me and put me on his lap and we just stayed there the whole time (I could feel his face in my neck aaaa >///<) I promised to visit him b4 class when the musical was over as well, so im hopin dat happens <3 he also kept reiteratin to me that I could tell him anything and would always say 'u sure?' after I said I had nothin to say, and he sounded a lil skeptical and disappointed, plus he kept tryna push j(a) away so he could hang out w me so does dat mean anything?? also i could sworn i heard him whisper the quietest "i love you" while he was huggin me, i hope it wasnt my imagination <3

Brianna tinha de admitir adorava aquela época do ano! Simplesmente tudo ficava colorido nos cômodos quentes das casas e castelos, se contrapondo com o branco dos jardins, e havia a comida... Nossa a comida… Todos os sabores misturados, doce e salgado esqueciam que eram opostos e, por vezes, inimigos. Tudo simplesmente se encaixava… Ela se encaixava, cabia perfeitamente na história que ela deveria seguir…

A ruiva andava pelos corredores de Aether, esse ano para sua surpresa a família fora para as terras dos Dunbrochs mais cedo do que o costume e não a esperaram, assim, um pouco irritada com a atitude do clã de não esperá-la, decidira passar as festas no Instituto. Quando o professor responsável pelo Clube de Carpintaria foi alertado do fato pela Diretora não teve dúvidas e encarregou a menina de liderar os outros alunos carpinteiros que haviam se voluntariado para cuidar da confecção dos cenários do show de talentos, como forma de mantê-la ocupada e longe das vendas de poções.

A animação das pessoas para o evento invadia o coração de Brianna, agora martelava, pintava, e moldava as partes dos cenários que seriam utilizados pelos colegas, ouvindo com atenção as observações dos colegas, e realmente se esquecendo das poções. Agora a menina tinha tinta no rosto, nas mãos e no cabelo, mas não se importava nem um pouco!

--- Hey! Me passe aquela lata e aquele pincel! ---

Pediu para a pessoa que estava mais perto dos utensílios, ao passo que a ruiva estava dependurada na escada pintando o topo do cenário e rindo de uma piada sobre madeira feita por outra colega. Eles cantavam canções natalinas e tudo aquilo a fazia se sentir em casa.

Faziam uma pausa para o lanche que se tornou um piquenique improvisado no palco, quando uma das colegas a encarou e perguntou:

--- O que vai pedir de Natal para o Papai Noel, Bree?! ---

--- Acho que para me manter longe de encrencas… ---

Ela proferiu as palavras, os outros riram com ela, o que ela queria?! Ela queria alguém que não abandonasse, queria viver uma história de amor igual àquelas que algumas princesas encenavam no palco com seus príncipes.

Agora ela batia palmas com a prancheta de baixo do braço, o show de sapateado escocês acabara de ser apresentado com perfeição por um rapaz de Ralien. O garoto loiro agradeceu a ela pelo cenário preparado assim que saiu do palco, fazendo-a corar e foi comemorar a apresentação com os amigos que estavam no backstage. Bree riu, iria procurá-lo na festa, mas agora dava ordens para trocarem os cenários seguindo a ordem anotada na prancheta.

Os colegas empurravam as pesadas tábuas que formavam uma noite estrelada com uma bela lua sorridente, quando… POWWW!!!! O cenário foi pro chão e Brianna ficou presa no meio do palco, na frente da platéia, com todos gargalhando, inclusive ela! Os colegas carpinteiros tiraram a pesada placa de cima da ruiva, que se levantou batendo no macacão jeans tentando tirar o glitter da roupa, então fez um agradecimento em forma de reverência à plateia que bateu palmas sorrindo… Afinal participará do show…

--- Foi um bom stand-up! ---

Disse gargalhando atrás das cortinas com os amigos e amigas, ao passo que a verdadeira atração começava.
