I bought Dine Out and Spa Day because they were reduced on Target’s website. The restaurants are a little buggy, but the experience is reminiscent of TS2. I really miss time freezing when you’re off the household lot, though. This stuff takes TONs of time.

My gen 4 heir took her husband on a date, which was pretty cool. And then my gen 3 heir got invited out by her youngest daughter for breakfast to celebrate her recent promotion. Overall, pretty pleased.

My gen 3 heir finally dies. This chick stuck around for like 110 or more days. It was crazy. Just goes to show that being insanely active in TS4 means you live for a REALLY long time.

No one was there to not witness/care about her death. As much as I wasn’t into her at first, I really grew to enjoy her. Enjoy your time in the sim afterlife, Amelia!

(It’s worth noting that my husband names my sims and has since like, forever...)

My rolls lately are shit. Gen 5 is single and one child. Idle career. Like, basically, just sit back and autopilot. Just ISBI challenge this shit. Did anyone ever do that challenge? I did, a long time ago in TS2, it was pretty fun.

The toddler on the right is my heir. The Perfect Children req I rolled for gen 4 is murdering me. Send help.

I’m still pretty bitter about my plans for having a blonde heir being ruined, but okay.

My gen 5 heir has a serious monster problem. This kid gets monsters under his bed like every other day. With his grandma gone, the task of “spraying them away” falls on his parents, who are significantly less into the whole thing.

Seriously, kid. Get it together.

I had to look this composer up-- in fact, he was a third cousin of Johann Sebastian Bach, a composer of many cantatas, and a violinist.

The great conductor of early music, Christopher Hogwood, discusses the brilliance of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (1714- 1788), by far the most accomplished and successful of Johann Sebastian Bach’s sons. This reminds me to read the letters of this fascinating composer, who combined excellent musical instincts with a keen business sense. Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, and Schubert were in awe of him, and he is one of the main sources we have for the preservation of Johann Sebastian’s musical legacy.
