dating life update.

Long story short I decided I wanted to date casually because I’m not ready for another relationship so soon after my last one.

So a few weeks ago me and this guy hit it off immediately. Same sense of humor, a ton in common, just so much chemistry and i felt so comfortable with each other just right away. I let him know i wasn’t looking for a relationship because of my situation and he said he was cool with that.

after our second date i started reconsidering the whole casual thing and even texted my best friend saying i think i’m starting to really like this guy but decided not to say anything. 

He texted me today ending things because he met someone last week that he really wants to pursue seriously dating.

He was really nice about the whole thing, and said he felt a connection with me too but that I asked him to keep it casual. Not mad or upset with him at all, cause he didn’t do anything wrong. He respected the boundaries i set. I’m just so mad at myself for thinking I could really do this casual dating thing and for ignoring my feelings and his. this really stings.

I’ll get over it, we’ve only been talking for like a month/went on 2 dates. My dating life has been very short and getting rejected is new territory for me, esp by someone I like.

Taking a break from dating again.

I’m literally going to coachella this weekend with my ex and our mutual friends who I all haven’t seen since december. This is not the mental state I wanted to be in when i saw everyone again, esp my ex. It’s going to be a really rough week.
