Knowledge We Are Given In Canon: after he went through guard training, Garroth faked his own death in order to get out of O’khasis and escape his arranged marriage.

Lore-Breaking Assumption: Despite going through all the hassle of Faking His Death, Running Away Across The Region, and Never Revealing His Face (something the average country bumpkin of Phoenix Drop probably would not recognize even remotely), the idea of using a fake name or moniker did not occur to him. Despite the name "Garroth Romeave" being much more widely recognizable than his face.

Generous Assumption: “Garroth” is a common enough first name in the region of Ru’aun that he didn’t see a point in using a false one. He’s not entirely stupid, he just didn’t see a reason to change it.

Knowledge We Are Given In Canon: Azura has known Garroth since they were in guard training together, which is likely when she developed a crush on him.

Lore-Breaking Assumption: Azura for some reason has determined Garroth’s true identity, despite the fact that he literally faked his own death in order to get away from the responsibilities that came with his name and status. (And she’s awesome and cool so she just never ratted him out about it.)

Really Funny Assumption: Azura actually developed a crush on some other guy named Garroth (common name) and lost touch with him after guard academy, and then falsely believes our Garroth (the one obscuring his face and true identity so he can’t cleanly explain to her the truth) to be the one she developed a crush on.

And the first time she sees him without his helmet, shes like. “What thefuck is that. Who the hell are you.”

and someone has to. explain it to her.

I have no clue why they didn't make Amity more akin to a rival character instead of a bully. Because it would have solved A Lot of problems in regards to Amity and Willow, and Lumity becoming a thing.

The thing is that Lumity feels Super Weird at the start when Luz is trying to befriend Amity long before the girl shows any remorse for bullying Willow and making up for it. And it's not something easily brushed off when Amity is introduced being condescending and a dick to Willow. The bullying isn't something of the past, it's still going on.

Willow comes off as an afterthought in this dynamic, when she's the one who's been wronged by Amity the most. Their arc never feels like it resolves itself either, it just kinda peeters out.

If you've watched Little Witch Academia, Diana is who I think Amity should have emulated more. Diana is the top student at the school, she's stern and no-nonsense, a bit stuck-up, she comes from a prestigious family, she gets in conflict with the protagnoist, Akko, not because of bullying but because they have very different personalities and butt heads because of it. Akko considers Diana her rival, but this is one-sided on her part.

Willow and Amity could still have been friends in the past, but Amity instead pointedly ignores Willow's existence after their friendship has ended. She doesn't call out her friends for bullying Willow(that would make it seem like she cares) but she doesn't participate or encourage it. She's still not a good person, she still has to apologise to Willow, but changing their relationship from 'active bullying' to 'pretending Willow doesn't exist' would do a lot going forward for them I think. Still terrible, but more palatable in my eyes.

As positive as Felicia is, the constant clumsiness/mistakes wear her down to self-doubt every now and then. ... but it's before xander was of age enough to get power.

the absolute wildest thing is that if you take the pelucid crystal artbook as word of god - how garon force-fed the dragon's blood to gunter (basically locking him into the possession) ... then there's even more reason for gunter to go plead his case for the rainbow sage, let alone the revenge factor.

if he's even somewhat aware of the effects of the dragon's blood - he'd be begging the rainbow sage to help undo the effects. cuz who else is the expert on dragons?

(inb4 anyone's 'well why didn't he tell corrin about the rainbow sage? (a) he's possessed. anankos would almost certinally fuck him up for defying him to that extent, (b) not to mention gunter prefers to keep secrets as a default. giving away that he knows about the rainbow sage would mean he gets asked uncomfortable questions he'd rather die than admit to, (c) seeking out the rainbow sage for your own personal issue 15 years ago in a traumatic haze means he could have genuinely forgotten about some of the details. it's not completely out of the picture. )
