So, I finally finished making a list of the names of the two hundred children Harrow’s parents killed to conceive a necromantic prodigy. This should not be considered canon, but rather a sketch of what could have been. With the Amor idea floating around now, I think Amren might play a role in the moment Mor drops that knife. It's probably because she reads Hybern's mind or something similar, but what if it isn't about her (like being sold out by her father for another time), but about Amren? What if she realizes that Hybern is interested in Amren, and that Rhysand knew this but he kept it a secret from the Inner Circle? What if the blood is the key thing applies to Mor as well, not only to Rhysand?

I can't refute any of this. It could all be right. Or it could all be wrong. I have no idea. (But I think the king and Amren have history and I think he might be trying to get into the prison to get her. Maybe he doesn't know she's out?) I can only thank you for being one of the few who realize that one of the first things we learn about Mor is that she has WEAPON SKILLS/KNIFE SKILLS AND THAT THERE IS NO FUCKING WAY SHE DROPPED THEIR ONLY WEAPON BECAUSE AZRIEL WAS THREATENED. Nope. SORRY. Not while her whole family is in that room. She has been to war. This isn't her first rodeo. BLESS YOU for picking up on that. She saw something in his eyes that freaked her out. Freaked her out enough that she dropped their only weapon. And if I remember correctly she was holding Truth Teller. And whose to say that blade is any different than Damaris in TOG. Holding it could have given her the ability to discern the truth in the king's words.

It’s a fun thought but I don’t think it’s possible? Since I’m pretty sure that Truth Teller is a dagger?? and the sword of truth is, as the name implies, a sword.

Azriel holds your gaze a moment, expression blank. His face then twists into a brief portrait of disappointment before he faces away from you, giving you his back. "I'm not answering that."

"It's a valid question! I can't imagine you guys bathe every day-"

"We do," Namara answers, oddly smug. "I'd go as far as saying Eternans are cleaner than your people considering we get dirty much more often." She gestures to the sword at her side.

Yes, you can be the most feral, wild, sassy person ever and romance Azriel haha the dynamic would be fun trying to fuck with him. It's so easy to fluster/annoy him. He tries his damn hardest to be an emotionless statue but it doesn't always work.

I think the funniest thing about Azriel is that sarcasm goes completely over his head. Also jokes lmao it happens a bit in the demo but Azriel is the type of person who won't understand a joke that has everyone in the room laughing until he's in bed alone and thinking to himself: "oh, i get it now."

He takes most things very literal. Like, I wrote that in his character profile while creating him: "Terrible sense of humor. Takes everything literal." A sassy, humorous MC will be the death of him hahshshsd

You scowl. "Now you're just fucking with me." Azriel huffs out a breath. "You have a very odd definition of what it means to…fuck someone." His face twists with discomfort and Drenwin hides his laugh with a hand to his mouth at the fact that Azriel completely changed what you meant.

That's probably my favorite moment of the whole demo. He completely changed what MC meant?@#%^ And he doesn't even realize it haha

How would the ROs react in a fake-out make-out situation?

Azriel would hesitant and be quite unsure of himself. As he’s going in to kiss MC he’d mutter a small complaint like “Is this really necessary?” but wouldn’t want it to stop either….mostly just to see what it’s like. Once it’s over, he’d turn away and pretend it never happened and *try* to be nonchalant about it.

Ceris would be less composed, mostly because they’re inexperienced with…everything. They’d get really fidgety and sort of start panicking, MC would definitely have to take the reins with them. Once it’s over Ceris wouldn’t be able to look MC in the eye without turning red, and avoid MC for a good while just so they don’t embarrass themselves 😭

If MC were to say something like “kiss me” Vale would be be so up for it lol. “Don’t mind if I do” vibes and they’d go all in. Maybe even keep going even after they don’t have to anymore. Then they’d offer to do it again, but without any eyes next time lol

Taleea would be nervous, definitely, and she’d think MC is joking at first. When she realizes MC is not, she’d be oddly serious about the job and consider it like some essential part of the mission. “We can’t get caught, right? Let’s make this the best fucking kiss ever.” Afterward she’d try to compose herself and not bring it up again, or she’d treat it very normally. “It was to survive, right?” Shrug. (If she had a crush on MC, though, she’d blush every time MC looked her way afterwards.)

Namara would be stiff, but nervous on the inside. She’s shrug, trying to be cool, and say something like, “If this is what we must do.” She’d work real hard to make it a great kiss though, and afterward she’d actually straight up ask if it was satisfactory haha. Drenwin would giggle and be excited to do it, kind of like high on the adrenaline of hiding and kissing MC. He’d be very dramatic about it 😭 maybe too over the top. It’d be funny. Afterward he’d mention it any time he gets, wanting MC to stroke his ego and tell him what a good kisser he is.

Omfg, looking back on the earlier asks and now knowing Azriel, has a very lacking social life, it seems very hypocritical of them to criticize the MCs' personal life. Especially since Azriel basically regressed into a kid who doesn't know how to handle the fact he has a crush on someone, so he just acts like a jerk when he realizes he's developing an attraction to the MC.

Can you imagine the fallout when the MC calls Azriel out on this whenever he tries to push the MC away by acting like an ass they just look him in the eye and say "you want to fuck me so bad you look stupid!"

It's so funny because you're right--Azriel has no right to speak on MC's social life when he has none of his own. He's been in the military since he was sixteen and that's been his sole purpose since then. The fact that he's the best fighter always made him a source of jealousy and contempt from his peers, something he doesn't care about. Azriel has always been pretty detached towards...everything but S. Which is both a good and bad thing.

It doesn't help that Azriel is a very hard person to like; his personality is cold and serious and humorless and grumpy and he's very unapologetic about it. Many people stay clear of him due to who he is.

Not to mention what he is.

Azriel has a hard time regulating his emotions and he usually defers to unkind methods, mostly because that's what he knows best. It's both a defense mechanism and what's most comfortable to him; being vulnerable is something he's not used to.

Being the monster that he is makes him pretty used to being alone and he has learned to put a wall up to protect himself.

And yes, he will act like a jerk the moment he realizes he likes MC. It's a very complicated situation.

And the moment MC does call that out to him...well, he will spiral because he knows MC is right and he hates it. He will push MC away and if MC did say that he'd just sputter out a panicked, "Ridiculous!" and just deny deny deny lol
