I really think we're not taking advantage of the potential for Catholic lifestyle shows. Shows for parents that teach about traditions and devotions to incorporate in family life--prayers, crafts, foods, etc. Cooking competitions where people make traditional foods associated with different feast days in different cultures. Travel shows about different countries' unique Catholic traditions. Just stuff that makes it clear that Catholicism can be woven into the everyday parts of life.

#catholic things #this is mostly about the cooking competition thing #because every time i see one of those christmas or easter themed baking shows #i think about how much cooler it would be if they focused on making like traditional easter breads and cakes #oh that reminds me there was that one mary berry special i saw the tail end of #that *did* somewhat do this kind of thing #teaching about the history as she made different traditional english easter foods #i should see if i can track it down cuz it looked pretty awesome
