Guys i got a theory. (ik this isn't a theory but i just wanted to share my thoughts thats it)
Miles MIGHT and i mean MIGHT sacrifice himself to the spot.
So yk how miles said in the second movie during his intro, and in the Mumbattan scene in Alchemax, Miles talks abt how hes been doing something new with his venom thing?
Tumblr media
So what if hes going to use all of his strength and the venom thing to defeat the spot?
DUDEEE...
and he would do it by maybe doing the shoulder touch (like he did to kingpin) and then after doing that miles is very weak and then when his team sees what miles does, they all hurry to finish the spot and knock him out, and since in the storyboard of BTSV shows that the spot is like hella big. it will cause a big rumble and almost every building will come crashing down and trap miles under the ruble since hes too weak to get to saftey before everything comes crashing down.. And also probably we'll see Gwen getting scared for miles and will probably have a panic attack because she thinks miles is dead under the rumble.
so like i said ik this isnt a theory but i just wanted to share my thoughts because im going feral rn..

IMO Miles and Hobie actually look similar enough to justify Actually Miles Is Young Hobie fanstuff and yet I haven't seen any
Same eye color
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The hairline and eyebrows are different but those are things that can be shaped
Tumblr media
I thought Miles had just rounded lips but even that's not right. And it's not as if Hobie's don't even out sometimes
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The face lines
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even their ears are similar enough I can't say anything against it and ears are like super individual
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Edit. Differences that age and stress maybe can't account for:
I think Miles has bigger ears? And maybe his lobes are more detached?)
((edit edit. I think the back of Hobie's jaw is shorter?? And the base of it longer????))

Canon Events maybe similar to Final Destination deaths.
Think about it, if you take Prowler Miles's and Spider Miles's situation, they both switched Canon Events and nothing glitched out of existence or not one of their universes collapsed. Which indicates that Canon Events are adaptable to changes and doesn't just throw in the towel and cause the universe to collapse.
Now when Miguel broke a Canon Event he actually messed with a permanent death that had a greater purpose, aka the other Miguel's death might have had a influence on that predetermined Spider-Man in that universe to jumpstart things. But Miguel replaced himself and tried to erase the other's Miguel's death that couldn't serve its purpose in the end and couldn't adapt.
Mind that when that Miguel died, their was no going back, IT WAS ABSOLUTELY PERMANENT MARK IN THE BOOKS.
Which means luckily for Miles that his Dad's death isn't already set in stone because he is still alive, if his Dad did die then Miles can't to anything about it because it is now a permanent death, otherwise if he does try to reverse it somehow then he'll make the same mistake Miguel made.
Now for the interesting part is that Final Destination has a similar type of pattern as Canon Events, I'm not saying that Canon Events are exactly like the Final Destination deaths but they follow a similar code. ( I know Canon Events are not just all deaths but I'm leaning more into the bad part of Spider-Man's life)
Here are the possible similarities between the two: ( FDD. Final Destination deaths)
• Canon Events follow a chain of deaths of people close to Spider-Man that sevre a greater purpose towards Spider-Man.
• FDD a group of people who managed to avoid death but ended up in a chain of death to maintain balance.
• Canon Events are adaptable to changes and will find another way to basically handle the death of the person that was supposed to die because, something interfered that avoided the predetermined death. Either it will predetermine someone else's death to carry the same purpose to also maintain balance.
• FDD are also adaptable because it can be avoided temporarily and even placed on someone else to be completely free from the chain of death, but it will find a way to get the certain person killed to maintain balance if their was no replacement.
•Death is the permanent mark in Canon Events
•Death is also the permanent mark in FDD
Soo any of this make any sense?

Ok so not once, but TWICE, RIPeter in ITSV says he’s worried using the collider would create a black hole under Brooklyn. And guess what appears in Mumbattan once Spot uses the collider…
Tumblr media
A black hole…
It’s obvious Miguel is wrong about canon events, whether it’s out of ignorance or is intentional is unknown. Because when the world he lived in disappeared, it did not look like it was being enveloped by a black hole. It almost looks like everyone was glitched out of existence.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s unknown if they’ll be able to fix Mumbattan, but it’s clear something fishy is going on…

red is to spider-man as pink is to miles, in that pink is the color of: self-expression, confidence, compassion. if you side with miles, if you want to support his growth, you're going to be in pink
that being said...a pink robe can be removed, and pink hairdye can be washed out

I can't believe I just realized that GWEN ACTUALLY took the hobie's converse ONLY to impress MILES because he wore the Jordan shoes on his suit, and that she took the shoes RIGHT BEFORE she went to see him (That's why Hobie was surprised to see that she took his shoes)

obsessed with the shot in atsv where gwen is at her window at the beginning and has her mask off but when she’s looks into the window’s reflection she’s still spider woman. then at the end her coming back again after losing miles and looking into the reflection in her window and this times it’s all her because spider woman cannot exist without gwen herself and her realizing that she’s just a person too

plsplspls i am so desperate to hear ur origin theory for miles g pls
OK SO, y’all seen the description for Earth-42 in the artbook?
Tumblr media
(Pic creds to @cucumberteapot)
My prediction is that uncle aaron did not ever became the prowler before miles, he did do crime but haven’t create the prowler yet. This is because Jeff died when miles was young so Aaron quit a life of crime to become a father figure to miles. How do i know that? Because THIS IS SHOWN IN THE SPOT FUTURE VISION. When he show inspector singh trying to save a child, it cut to JEFF trying to save a child that looks extremely similar to the design of Miles G. This could mean spot is predicting both miles’ future and miles G’s past.
Tumblr media
(Also creds to @cucumberteapot for giving me this insight)
IF JEFF DIED WHEN MILES WAS YOUNG, THAT EXPLAIN HIS COLD RESPOND WHEN MILES TALK ABOUT HIS DAD BECAUSE AARON IS HIS FATHER FIGURE. This also explain why miles is the prowler and not aaron because they built the persona together.

EARTH 1610 MILES (our miles) WAS SUPPOSED TO BECOME THE PROWLER.
in Into The Spiderverse we see Miles meet Peter
Tumblr media
his colors originally look like this. green and purple. which are his “canon” colors and are supposed to represent him
Tumblr media
but then they change. they turn red and blue signifying the change of canon and therefore his fate.
so instead of him becoming an enemy to Spiderman, he becomes a friend to spiderman.
and instead of Earth 42 Miles becoming spiderman, he becomes the prowler in a world where spiderman can no longer exist.

the visuals for the last like 20 minutes of atsv are my favorite things ever
specifically: the color theory
earth-42 is obviously striking on a whole nother level
Tumblr media
we tend to automatically think of red as the color of danger, but that's loud and passionate and angry. this haunting, sickening green feels more conniving and threatening and apocalyptic.
(if you think of color in disney movies, all the scariest, most cunning villains--maleficent, scar, ursula, evil queen, facilier, gothel--have either palettes or grand moments or motifs heavily utilizing green)
and something i always notice is that rio 42 looks just a little off, and it's because they reflect so much green in her eyes they look almost entirely green
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and, if this is your first time watching, you have no idea why the environment is made to be so deeply unsettling. let's look at gwen's dimension for a sec
being home is a really bad thing to gwen. while miles was doing everything he could to get home, gwen was literally dragged there--because gwen views her dimension as unsafe (ignore the trans parallels ignore the trans parallels ingore the tra
Tumblr media
it's dark. it has the same ominous rain. but you can tell it's 65. that bisexual lighting is unmistakable
i can't even go into the colors of gwen and george's argument because there is an image limit and i am lazy. but we know it's insane. the emotional peak of the scene is also where we see the colors most vibrant and changing the most abruptly
and when they have their beautiful lil moment, this is what happens
not only is it blindingly bright and trans colored all of a sudden, but the characters don their "true" coloring
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and even after gwen leaves, the scene is still bright, and familiar
Tumblr media
miles should be safe in his dimension. but we know he's not.
back to earth-42. well i mean we have these absolute visual bangers what do i need to say u get it
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and then there's this absolutely incredible moment where i would say miles is at his emotional peak (manic peak as well; i mean spot's hands and the infamous revenge line...yoikes.) and just like with gwen, the emotional high is where we see the most dynamic colors so coincidence i think not
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this next sequence is just one of the coolest fuckin chase-esq scenes i've ever seen. like the mumbattan one slapped but the pacing and direction and elements and epicness together here are just immaculate
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
another thing--miguel/ben's post is heavily shrouded in red. he's supposed to be ominously looming over exactly where miles is headed. buttttttttt~ when miles first crash lands, there is quite a bit of red, and as he gets closer to home, the city gets bluer and bluer with less and less red, bc yk he's not actually headed towards miguel/ben. woah. i make sense guys. i am a fart smella. i mean smart smella. i mean fart fella. i mean fart smella. i mea

so, theres this thing ive been wanting to say for a while.
the spot has his sketch lines imported in his design:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
you cant see them very clearly in these, but i dont have the patience to find anything else.
and, surprisingly, miguel has his sketch lines too
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i know he looks disgusting (as always) but these are the ones that you can see the sketch lines better because yknow, he has features and isnt just a white figure with spots.
anyway, my point is that ive only noticed these two to have sketch lines in the movie. and im not saying they hinted us that miguel is the villain by importing the sketch lines on the designs of the villains only, but they hinted us that miguel is the villain by importing the sketch lines on the designs of the villains only.

If spider noir wasn’t kicked off the ‘elite spider task force’ (I think he was but Imma keep going anyways) then the reason I think he would quit, besides general bad vibes, is Miguel referring to Robbie’s death as a canon event. That man would turn fucking feral.

Im going to scream my lungs out.
So remember during the big speech scene after Gwen was sent home, And after her father announces that he quit. And he says:
"My job being Captain, This.. whole thing doesnt matter anymore."
And before he says something else, he kinda struggles to say something then he just spits it out.
"You're the best thing I've ever done."
Omg. WHAT IF HE SAW HIS WIFE IN GWEN DURING THE SPEECH?? WHAT IF THERE PERSONALITY ARE SO ALIKE? OH MY GOD. I MEAN SERIOUSLY. JUST LOOK HOW IDENTICAL GWEN AND HELEN *her mom* LOOK ALIKE. (btw i know that this is the comic version of helen since obviously her mom was never metioned in the movies. but maybe she will in btsv?)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
SO MAYBE HE HAD TO QUIT SINCE IT WAS LIKE BETRAYING HIS OWN WIFE... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

anyways enough about who would miguel date or blah blah blah that is not the foundation of his character. let me return to discussing how miguel is probably projecting all his self hatred and guilt on to miles. he wants to fix his wrongs and that's why he is so aggressive about "canon events". he claims miles destroyed an entire world, when really he just got to interfere with the canon and his life is still "fine" whereas miguel lost his entire world and his family and he resents miles for this. i also think it is why he took upon himself to lead the spiderverse to make sure other spider people don't end up in the wrong universe because that is what caused him to lose his family. he went looking for other versions of himself and now the cycle is happening to miles, not out of curiosity but because of a mistake.

Not gonna lie, with the Spot’s upcoming time mucking shenanigans as suggested by the flashes of the future in Miles’ vision, I would not be surprised if the dimensional collapsing theorized by Miguel to come from averting too many “Canon Events” will turn out to be a side effect of something the Spot will either do himself or set up to screw with Miles.
Particularly, with how much his origin monologue to Miles and Jeff centered around the idea that he made Spider-Man and vice versa, note how incredibly well that mentality would dovetail with Miguel and the Spider Society’s belief that the “Canon Events” are what made them Spider-Man.
@kindaorangey has a good post pointing out how the Spot’s mindset of “filling the hole with more holes” is a pretty apt metaphor for the way Miles, Gwen, and likely the other spider people diving into the identity of Spider-Man as a crutch for dealing with the isolation caused by said identity, but suffice to say, OP and @sir-adamus had these tags which I'd like to use as a jumping pad:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For this, we can analyze Miguel and Spot as two sides of the same coin, where Miguel’s side is about allowing canon events to play out through inaction, and Spot's side could potentially lead up to (as a side effect of his grudge against Miles) actively ensuring that only those canon events happen, with any deviations that don't fit into their views being cast aside.
The former position projects personal traumas as absolutely necessary and destined to happen onto others, the latter position rejects any possibility that things could go differently in a quite literal manner. But in the end, both ultimately are about "filling in the hole with more holes" and dictating what Miles "should" be like.
Miguel doesn’t think Miles is a real Spider-Man and that him becoming Spider-Man was a mistake that never should have happened, all from his obsessive mentality surrounding Canon Events. He and by extension the other Spider-Men stuck in their hole of guilt and fatalism, surrounding themselves with other Spider-Men stuck in their holes of trauma and grief to where they have formed an echo chamber that tells them Miles cannot save his father's life and that they cannot do anything to save people anymore.
And in the Spot's case, the metaphor already came from him, but it's all about obsessively centering his new, lonely existence around being not just A, but THE nemesis to Miles' Spider-Man. He lost everything and has nothing except his connection to Spider-Man. To fill that hole, he's not only only making himself a villain that Miles will actually respect. He's going to try his damnedest to make sure that Miles reaches his full potential as Spider-Man just like he talked about in Mumbattan, and fill the hole with more holes in Miles' life until Miles is devoid of everything except the Spot.
Given the flashes of future events in Miles’ vision, if and when the Spot inevitably hears about Miguel's theory of Canon Events, it would only be fitting if the Spot retroactively becomes responsible for all the previous dimensional destruction the Spider-Society dealt with. And thus, Miguel's theory obsession would be its own recursive creator.
A vicious cycle of telling themselves that things have to happen a certain way, of blaming uncontrollable circumstances on something they think they can and should control, and of refusing to let go of the spiral they've fallen into.
After all, Miles already had an Uncle Ben-type event and the Spot is trying to set up a Captain Stacy-type event. Since the logical conclusion to the themes of Miles choosing what kind of Spider-Man he wants to be and not allowing preventable tragedies to happen would be that Jeff lives, well…
It would only be narratively fitting for the Spot to try to set up a Gwen Stacy event later down the line.
Because if Miles being bit and the Spot getting caught up in the collider wasn't destiny, if the intersection of their lives was simply due to circumstances they had no control over, if the dimensional collapses weren't because preventing Canon Events is inherently destabilizing to reality in of itself, then Miguel and the Spot would have to look inwards and actually try to figure out how to fill the holes in their lives.
So Miguel tells himself that what he does has to be done, that only he is strong enough to do it, and that everyone should follow his lead and stop caring.
As for the Spot?
If he fails to kill Jeff and Gwen, and when it's proven to everyone else that Canon Events are not required lynchpins of reality like Gwen found, he might just decide to try to make them actual lynchpins across time and space.
Or at least, making it so that the only realities that can exist are ones where those events happen.
Aka trying to forcibly changing the multiverse so suffering huge tragedy becomes an inherently integral part of Spider-Man the concept, rather than a mere possibility. So many Spider-Men and their dimensions getting hurt in the crossfire, and all in the process of targeting Miles Morales specifically.
Truly, it would be quite resonant if and when the Spider-Society let and help Miles get to save his Captain and Gwen Stacy. Beating the Spot would no longer be about the concept of stopping a threat to the multiverse and their canon events, but about metaphorically ending the cycle of suffering and finding a way to move forwards beyond the guilt. They probably can’t actually change the past, but with this, they can fight to prevent it from happening to others.
