Tezucomi magazine receives a 2 volume release in North America in 2024; will only include manga from European artists
Sources: Amazon (Volume 1, Volume 2), Kickstarter
Tezucomi manga magazine will receive a 2 volume North American release through Magnetic Press; it will only include the European manga that were included in the original release from Japan.
Tezucomi Volume 1 is set to release on February 13, 2024, while Volume 2 will release on March 12, 2024.
These releases came about from a successful Kickstarter from Neurobellum Productions!
Tezucomi was an Osamu Tezuka anthology magazine containing manga drawn from comic/manga artists around the world. It began in 2018 and ran for 18 volumes.

Volume 1:
An anthology of short stories based on some of the many popular creations of legendary Japanese mangaka Osamu Tezuka, as illustrated by a collection of some of the greatest comic creators in Europe. This larger 300-page hardcover edition is presented in traditional manga reading order, right to left.

🌟 Reno and Kalim: Sadly they never met each other. I think if they did would become fast friends as Reno is a music man. Due to Reno's species and behavior he is avoided by alot of students. Jamil probably preventing them meeting.
🔥 Reno and Idia: Oh my you hit one of my main ships..uh im going to speak as if i don't have a canon x oc ship of them aka they friends..haha..
Reno comes to the Ignihyde abit after school starts so Idia has to go talk to him. Neither know a thing about each other so when they met it was 5mins of stareing as Reno had never seen someone with Idia's hair before and Idia had never seen a colorful painted goatman with literal hooves no feet before.
Idia 1st words to Reno was that he sure is weird looking which he likes. Reno told him he loves his hair and can he touch it. They are good friends due to their weirdness and Idia has taught him how to play video games. Reno respects his housewarden so much cause he accepts him when other students are abit afraid as they dont take time to get to know.
🤖 Reno and Othro: Reno's niño astro(nickname he calls him). You'd think he was Reno's brother with how much he dotes on him. Othro could just be there in deep networking or something and Reno will snatch him up into a hug. The 1st few weeks Othro didn't like this as he does understand the physical hugging stuff but soon got used to it as he likes Reno's smile & laugh. He now laughs when Reno hugs him. Othro helps Reno understand computers & the internet as Reno had no idea what those were prior to coming to the dorm.

Astro Boy + Jetter Mars Headcanons/ AUs
FINALLY got my brain cells in order so I could type this up. Thanks to @z-skull for their great Tenma Headcanons, as they motivated me to finish my messy ones but I’ll tighten it up later.
Age Gap AU
( @jheunart and @mitosis-jones are responsible for this AU, not sure if their still in the fandom. Search ‘Age Difference’ on my blog for some of their artworks.)
ATB!Hiroshi x older!Tenma (This Tenma is mix of Little Astro Boy, 03 and Pluto. So normal with bouts of flashiness and moodiness.)
Hiroshi Ocahnomizu
(Graduate?) student interning at the ministry. Mokoto is his lab partner in an actual lab on campus. (Idk how this type of stuff work) She still has her crush on him. He has a tiny crush on her Moriya, but that doesn’t last very long.
Has a small studio apartment near campus. His internship pays decently but he also has a robot repair gig not too far away.
Has a freestanding hammock in the lab closet when he decides to pull a all nighter or he needs to take a quick nap. Tenma tries it out and decides to buy a double size one to put in his backyard.
Stays up to date on technology, mainly robotics. He read and heard about Tenma’s works and meets him while working at the ministry.
Six (A106) is his best work thus far and the reason he got the internship. The other numbers are still around as well.
Tries to eat healthy but as a college student, easier said then done. Has a bit of chub but pretty sturdy and able to handle heavy equipment.
Bisexual, slight preference to men. Attracted to personality more-so then looks.
A bit clumsy with romance but he tries! Not really into theatrics, more into 'simple but sweet' gestures.
Umataro Tenma
Is a good dad and makes time for Tobio. They usually watch movies or go somewhere educational like the Aquarium or the Planetarium. Hiroshi (and sometimes Ran) tagged along with them. They try to go the amusement park during the summer. He still a bit of an workaholic and sometime works over time.
They still live in the house from '03 verse. That HUGE mansion from The Last Mystery of the 21st Century? Maybe him and Hiroshi commissioned it?
He keeps to his self and trust very few people. Those he trust and respect will be teased/lightly picked on. But he won't hesitate to defend or help them any way he can. With sassiness of course.
Still prideful and a bit impulsive when it comes to his work. Basically the BlackJack of Robotics, but not shady. He’s a perfectionist and will to go all out to get the results he want. This attitude is a doubled edged sword, but it part of the reason he becomes minister.
Hiroshi is the first guy he ever fell for. He experimented in college, here and there. His work came first. (maybe later dated and married Hoshi? IDK!)
Bisexual, no preference. Attracted to personality over looks. Only flirty with people he's attractive too. Not as smooth as he thinks he is. Is romantic with dashes of theatrics.
Might be Yamanoure cousin in this Au but IDK
Ect. Thoughts
Hiroshi and Tobio hit off really well! They bond over anime, video games and robotics. He would babysit Tobio when Tenma is in full workaholic mode and help him with his homework if needed. Ran and Mokoto meet Tobio when Hiroshi brings him to the lab. Once Hiroshi and Tenma start dating, they babysit him.
Reno and Uran are also in this Au but I got nothing for them right now. Same goes for other characters.
Jetter Mars/ Astro Boy Au (I suck at names I know)
Tenma and Yamanore are (Distant?) cousins. In fact they both went to the same college. The have a something of a rivalry but still care for each other. Or maybe He can be Hoshi's Cousin? Hmmm.
Yama doesn't live in Metro City so he don't see his nephew very often. He's proud of his smart nephew and He met and approved of Hoshi and Tenma, even attending the wedding. And was crushed when she died as she was one the few people who he cared for and put up with his attitude, even morso when Tobio died. Hm, still working on this one.
Yama is/was secretly jealous of the Tenma family due to not having any family of his own. He dated a bit in college but nothing official due to his jumpiness and aloof attitude.
It's canon that Yama did Mars body but not brain. So he calls his cousin to help him and they work on Mars?? Mars could physical age and grow with naon tech or something. Astro body frame was/is not compatible with them so Tenma decided to build another body compatible later on?? Lots of holes here, yes yes.
I came up with the name 'Okuran' for Yamanoure. Okura is the name of an ancient Japanese poet, Yamanoue No Okura, and the Japanese name of the Okra plant that his sideburns resemble. They also look like squid tentacles. If Tenma can be a horse/bird, he can be a plant/squid. Might change up the spelling.
Other characters appear but I got nothing for them right now.

Retro, if you don't know, is the Astro Boy shipping between the titular character, Astro, and side character, Reno. Though for the most part, many (including myself) do not ship them at their canon age (for many different reasons)
The first day starts on January 1st and ends on January 7th and those that chose to participate are to make 1 drawing a day pertaining to the prompt of whatever day it is for 7 days, though participants do not have to do all 7 days if they chose not to.

Additional Notes: HOOOO BOIII- ironically this fic was originally borderline NSFW (due to the dialogue) but thankfully I pulled my head up outta the gutter and actually made a fic I’m really proud of, probably one of my favorite one-shots simply for the beautiful nature contained in it, so yeah!

Reno made his way back into the lab, closing the door behind him and walking up to the couch.
“Astro?” He shook Astro’s shoulder.
Astro groaned. “No… stop.” He mumbled, flapping his hand at Reno.
“Astro.” Reno tried waking him up again, not wanting to be firm, but still getting the point of urgency across.
“Ugh, FUCK OFF!” Astro pushed Reno aside.
Reno sighed, walking away.
Astro opened an eye, “Who’s there?”
“Uhhh, me,” Reno replied sarcastically.
“Oh.” Astro sighed, lying on his back and pressing the palm of his hands against his eyes. “Damn, that was some night last night, right?”
“I honestly don’t know what got into you…” Reno looked away.
“I dunno, when did you get so attractive.” Astro chuckled at his own remark, then let out a heavy sigh of regret.
Reno’s face went red. “I-I… I uh- dun- dunno, when… ever we uh- started dating, I guess?”
“Hmm, fair point, fair point.” Astro fell off the couch,
“ow.”
“I’m having insane flashbacks, should I be concerned?” Astro was lying on the floor looking up at the ceiling.
“Well I mean thoughts are just thoughts- right?” Reno set a box down, then dusted his hands. “As long as you’re not acting on it in a harmful way then I don’t see what’s the big deal.”
“But you see, that’s the point.” Astro turned around, now lying on his stomach. “I’m trying not to- for my own mental health but it just… becomes a bigger problem.”
“I’ve been sitting on my ass for the past three years just- cruising, doing absolutely nothing with my life. I mean really- I could’ve done anything! I could’ve… gone on a cruise! Went to Japan for once! I… hmm… I could’ve gone to Miami Beach to prove I’m bisexual.”
“Well,” Reno began, “That doesn’t mean we couldn’t do those things now? I mean think about it- cruises are fun, we could go with the professor and Zoran. Japan is expensive though… That’s probably on the back burner. And I think to go to Miami Beach to prove your Bi would be cheating at this point.”
Astro tried not to laugh, “You make a good point.”
“I just… feel like- sometimes… I could never be satisfied and it’s like- well first off, that's a shit mentality to have and second… why?”
Reno picked up another box. “I can’t really say. It all depends on you, I’m just here to make you happy.”
“But then… what purpose does it serve?”
“Pardon?”
“What do you- trying to fulfill my happiness bring to the table?”
“Well, obviously our relationship, haha, I mean- what else?”
“It’s very… one-sided.”
“Well, isn't that the...point? Not like I need help…”
“But…” Astro sighed.
“I dunno… I… hmmmm…. well… hmph.”
“It kind of makes me guilty and anxiety-ridden… knowing you're just here to… keep me sane. It's nice but… it's not your job I mean- you're not my therapist. Least I hope not- that's kind of invasive.”
“I just… I don't want you to think I'm 2 pounds and a box of wholesale sour cream and onion chips you have to lug around all the time.”
“But you know… it is a nice thought...” Astro stood up.
“... you know- showing that you care, getting to my level just to keep me sane; I mean who the fuck does that? Not anyone I know for sure.”
“Well…” Reno took Astro by the hand, “I could tone it down- or not.”
Astro suddenly got caught in a whirlwind of emotions when Reno started kissing his neck.
“Hey! N-n-no- we already did this last night!!!” He sarcastically protested with laughter.
“Hmmm?” Reno pulled away, confused.
Astro couldn't help but laugh some more. “H-h-how about we focus on moving these boxes.”
“Your call.” Reno walked away to pick a box up, “Elevator key?”
“Oh yeah!” Astro grabbed Reno’s key from the desk. The two left the lab then after.
“Yes, yes, YES! This is everything I wanted and a bag of name brand oven baked chips!!!!” Astro ran into the lab and started stroking the wall.
“Don't get your hopes too high, it really isn't that much bigger than our current lab.”
Astro hissed at Reno, “Lemme keep my imagination alive, dumbass.”
Reno chuckled, “Fine. It's the biggest lab in the Ministry- happy?”
Astro pouted, “Nghhhh, maybe.” He mumbled.
Reno shook his head with a smile. “You really are hard to please.”
“Well, at least I'm honest.” Astro walked away with a smirk.
“I can't tell if I'm supposed to be aroused or thankful?”
“Your call.” Astro shrugged.
Reno snickered, “You talk too much, you know that? Same reason why we stayed up all night making out because you kept on going.”
“Well yeah but… you find it attractive.”
“Okay yeah, but that doesn't take away from the fact that you like to run your mouth every 2 seconds for every little thing.”
“Okay… Good point good point.” Astro nodded.
Reno walked over to him. “But… Even if it can be a bit annoying at times- you make a good point.” he took Astro by the hand and twirled him around.
“I do find it attractive.”
Astro looked back at Reno with starry eyes.
“Very much so.” Reno smiled.
“Nghhhh- stop! I don't want another repeat of yesterday.”
“What…? Is something… wrong?” Reno tilted his head.
Astro turned away. “N-no…”
“A-are you sure? We could just… go back to unpacking if you'd like.”
“No, it's not that… It's….”
Astro sighed.
“I don't… like making all of this about… What's more attractive.”
“I just… forget it. We can unpack more stuff and talk about this later.”
“But… What do you mean?”
“I don't… want our relationship to be reduced to just… I dunno- making out, being stupid I mean ahhhhhh.”
Reno sighed, “you're not that great at forming arguments.”
“But- it doesn't have to be that way, you could just say no and that'd be it. You know I'm big on consent so if you don't wanna keep making out- then just say you don't want to. I won't get upset. I'm okay with you saying no.”
Astro stopped in his tracks.
“You… you can say no?”
“You could've always said no… are you saying you've been lying this whole time?!”
“No no no, I just didn't know!”
Reno looked hurt, “Astro I…”
Astro turned around. “I-I-I didn't know! I mean not that I didn't like it I just… I get bored of doing dumb shit and then making out, and then we go to do more dumb shit and make out till 4 AM.”
“Well, if you wanna try something different, we could.”
“Hmmm yeah. You know what?”
Reno grabbed a box from the ground.
“I say we go to Miami.” Astro smiled.
Reno stopped in his tracks. “Now wait a fucking second!” he pointed at Astro.
Astro burst into laughter.
“You said Miami was a piece of shit- and now is when you wanna go?!”
“Yeah…pretty much.” Astro couldn't stop laughing.
Reno too began to laugh with him.
“Come on- It’ll be fun! We drive around, go to Bayside, ride the MetroMover- it’s… somewhat different…”
“Are we talking about the same city, sounds like you’re just talking about Metro City.”
“Hey! You were the one originally that wanted to go!”
“Well yeah, during the Winter, it's like… end of spring.”
Astro sighed, “You’re really stubborn, you know that?”
“Yeah, at least I own it.” Reno shrugged.
“Uck- you're no better than Ken!”
Reno laughed, “I'm kidding, Jesus, 1200 ants- grow a backbone much?”
“Nghhh I'll show you a backbone in a minute!” He started chasing Reno around the lab.
“YOU RUDE SON OF A BITCH!!!” He yelled.
Reno began panicking as he saw Astro inch ever so slightly closer to him as they both ran around the lab.
“WAIT!!!!” Reno motioned with his hands after realizing that they were about to trip over a box.
Astro didn't heed Reno’s warning, running into him as the two tumbled down Ruby and Sapphire style [From Hit the Diamond]
Reno couldn’t help but laugh as he stared at the ceiling.
The laugh seemed to be quite contagious as Astro too began to laugh with him.
Reno turned to Astro with a smile, still laughing.
Astro tried to smile back but couldn't help but continue to laugh with a hand over his mouth, snorting in-between.
Reno sat up and brought his knees up to his chest, looking down at Astro who had finally begun to stop laughing.
He got up from the floor and headed for the door. ((It rhymes!! ~Emily))
“Hey wait!” Astro quickly got up and chased after him.
When he walked out the door, he couldn't see Reno.
“Reno??? Reno!!!!” He called out.
He looked around but still couldn't see him.
Astro sighed, closing the door behind him and heading for the stairs.
He made it back downstairs to the lab and opened the door
“Maybe he just went to get more boxes?” He thought to himself as he walked in.
“Hey, why's the light in the bathroom on?”
Astro slowly crept towards the bathroom that was opposite the mini-fridge.
The bathroom was small, but it served it’s purposes- going to the potty and taking a shower.
Astro put his hand on the doorknob, preparing for whatever was going to be there.
To his surprise, he saw Reno in the bathroom with something in his hand.
“Reno?” Astro looked confused.
Reno quickly looked over with red cheeks, “Astro!”
“Are… are you okay?”
“Uh, haha… yeah…” Reno nervously chuckled
Astro finally gazed over to see what he had in his hand.
“Are those… drugs?”
“What?! No… well- maybe, it's not what you're thinking!!” Reno panicked.
Astro looked even more confused before then becoming concerned.
Reno sighed, “look… there's uh… something I need to tell you.”
“I- uh… didn’t say anything because I thought it didn't matter, but I guess- I guess it was bound to come out anyways.”
“Oh! Is it something bad?” Astro tilted his head.
“N-no… I mean uh… I don't know uh-” Reno looked away, slowly shaking.
“It's okay.” Astro reached his arm out. “I'm here for you.”
“Y-yeah but…” Reno sighed again.
“You don't have to tell me if it's that much of a bother. We can just go back to moving stuff.”
“N-n-no. This is going to hang over my head like a dark cloud if I don't confess.”
“Did you do something? Did they revoke your license?” Astro looked at him unamused.
“No no, it's not that!”
Reno felt tears forming in his eyes, some spilling down his cheeks. He tried wiping it off with his hand but he couldn't keep up.
Astro looked even more worried than before, he walked closer to him in hopes to calm him down.
“I-I-I’m sorry…” Reno tried saying.
“It's okay. Whatever you have to say- I’m okay with, really- it won’t upset me.”
“But that's just the thing!” Reno turned around.
“I don't… want you to think of me differently.”
“How would I do that? I love you! Always. It doesn't matter.”
“Really?” Reno began to shake.”
“Mmmmhmmm.” Astro nodded.
Reno stood in silence for a moment, putting the object down on the counter and trying to not tense up.
“I… uh…” he stuttered.
He sighed for a final time.
“I’m transgender.”
“Oh!” Astro exclaimed.
“Eeeyeahhhhhh…” Reno tried fighting off his nervousness with laughter.
“Hey it’s okay- it's not the end of the world.” Astro reached over to soothe him.
“I love you.” He smiled.
Reno nodded as more tears spilled down his face.
Astro leaned in for a hug, wrapping his arms around Reno and rubbing his back to comfort him.
They stood there for the next few minutes appreciating the silence and enjoying the warm embrace.
Astro stood outside the bathroom for a minute as he waited for Reno to finish.
“Everything good?” He asked Reno as he came out of the bathroom.
“Yeah, everything’s good.” He smiled.
“Well, I think we should get back to moving more stuff.” Astro chuckled.
“Your call- as long as you’re willing to walk two flights of stairs.”
“Hey!” Astro protested. “I’d take the elevator.” He muttered with folded arms.
“Not if I get there first!” Reno picked up a few boxes and quickly left the lab.
“Hey, no fair- wait up!!!” Astro grabbed a few boxes and chased after him.
