There's some dude (derogatory) on FB who is PISSED people are pricing their farm fresh eggs at $2 and $3 a dozen instead of $4+, saying it's "disrespectful" and "undignified" and "I'm trying to feed my kids" like Sir, you are on a Facebook group page bitching about your neighbors egg prices because your pet chickens aren't earning you a living wage and you think it's your neighbors' fault, you do not have a leg to stand on here wrt dignity.

Also half the answers are like "I give them to friends and family free" or "I donate them to food banks" or "I'm making them affordable to folks who might not otherwise be able to get them now that they're so expensive in the store" and "if you think you're going to turn a profit keeping backyard chickens you have been wildly misled" and so on, and so forth, and I'm so living for it.

and I can tell you right now, he did NOT like my answer of "if you're trying to feed your kids, I hear eggs are edible."

#chickens #like buddy you are never going to actually make a profit #and if by some miracle you do #it's going to be VERY SMALL #Considering the money you put into building or buying a coop #plus feed and bedding and equipment (waterers feeders perches etc) costs #egg cartons and enrichment and gas to go get the feed #the cost you (personally) probably put into building the egg stand you mentioned #a 50lbs bag of feed will feed 12 adult chickens for 8 days #12 chickens generally lay 6-12 eggs per day #usually less in the fall and may even stop in winter #a 50lb bag of feed is usually $12-15 #and you wasted the first 6 months going eggless until they were old enough to lay #and that doesn't factor in oyster shell or anything else you may need to do for them #like worming or treating for coccidia or anything #and doesn't take into account your time #like asjh;dsfkgdh you really thought you were gonna make a buck doing this??? #wank for ts

10. PAST; what did they dream of doing when they grew up? how and why did it change, if it did?

she wanted to be a model or an art curator! she actually does do modeling in and around Chicago with the local fashion scene (she’s VERY involved with the art and fashion circles around chicago! she loves that she can vicariously live through other creative people and that with her every thought being aired out it’s still alright it’s actually what they find the most endearing abt her! :) its nice to just be!) with the photographers and local designers! they’re like a second family! She did get to walk in a NYFW show or two but since its very high stakes and a bit too far away from her family (nick) and friends its pretty limited what she can do! with her at AEON its still a dream of hers to pursue it at least part time since both subjects are passions she feels DEEPLY for! like still working towards it but the parameters of how she gets there have changed!

6. PRESENT; what is their current relationship with her family?

oo boy HOWDY we are stepping into her least favorite topic in most cases save for one (nick hehe) that is the topic of family :’)!! its strained at best estranged and virtually non existent if she can help it! she really doesn’t want anything to do with either of them, most of all in particular her mom. she puts on her best face for nick’s sake because she knows how much it means to him, BUT ONLY THAT, because the scarring is still MUCH there for her from how things transpired in the INCIDENT and for her own sake she aims to keep the distance between them as it is! ON THE TOPIC OF NICK THOUGH? most beloved most dear, best brother in the known universe and any other known universes? THAT NICK? she wouldn’t be anywhere near the person she is or where she’s at without knowing he’s been in her corner all these years. the most close! best sibs in chi!

4. FUTURE; what was something they were sure would happen in their future but didn’t?

hehe that she would end up with gray! as of recent memory to her she had always thought that she would! but feelings do change! she realized that they had and had felt in the position to move forward, still wanting to be close as friends but knowing that ship has sailed! and that same day was the day she encountered her future spouse, soulmate, and love of her life the partner in life and crime and co parent of the girls kenziee! (in the beginning chapters elin still liked gray up until after she realized kenz had brought annie and went out into the press so she could escape! SWEETEST THING FELL FOR KENT RIGHT THERE and that’s when!)

Never look down on others unless you’re helping them.

A Rangers dutiy of helping others changes from one thing to another, sometimes incluideing escapted aniamls.When a call came in i quickly went to get Chick, and traillered on down to help with finding and herding someones cows who escpaped and had forgoten how to get back.Chick never kept his eyes off of them when we found the bunch, smoothly got every single one safely back home where they belonged.Have a hard-headed and tough working cow horse in my group of equines.
