Crayola Colors of Kindness (Markers and Colored Pencils)
One thing I want to point out, I know my eyes keep staring off in the wrong direction. I'm used to my camera lens being in a specific location... and I put it on the tripod backwards! Plus all the before mentioned stress! Be it leaking ceilings or AC that makes you question your very sanity.... I've concluded that being a homeowner sucks!
So, let's try to calm down with the lovely, soft, gentle tones of Crayola's Colors of Kindness series! Now, can we get some watercolors in this series?

hello, ive been learning portuguese for a bit and i was wondering if you had any recommendations for media? like youtubers, blogs, movies or series. if you do, thanks in advance
uff fuck, i will sure try my best but i can’t promise anything
I normally get my dose of Portuguese via going to academic workshops or working alongside Brazilian people, so I don’t exactly engage with media in Portuguese as a conscious learning process, I'm afraid. Like, for example, i normally just get a bunch of Instagram reels and TikToks cause I'm on the Brazilian side of instagram/tiktok, and not exactly because i follow any particular account or something, and i don’t level or recognize how hard the Portuguese is in each one, etc
I have some series that i remember watching and liking tho, which are:
De volta aos 15: a drama/comedy series around a 30yo woman that time travels a few times to when she was 15 and tries to fix everyone's life, as one does
A sogra que te pariu: a very absurd sitcom in the best latinoamerican style (and set during covid)
Samantha!: Another comedy, now about a kid star from the '80s who is trying to launch herself back
Lulli: comedy, drama and romance. A medic student gets electrocuted and starts hearing everyone's thoughts
3%: suspense, fiction, drama. Set on a diasporic word where, while everyone gets a one-time change to better their life, only the 3% makes it
Ciudad invisible: Drama, mystery. This one has lots of references to folk culture and stories! It's about a man who, after a family tragedy, starts seeing different mythological creatures that will help him uncover the past
omnisciente: sci-fi, drama, thriller. The city is controlled and watched all the time everywhere by drones. A woman tries to solve a murder that the drones never picked on + plus discover how fucked up the system and the drones are
Coisa mais linda: Drama, romance, set in 1959, after getting cheated on and left alone, a woman sets herself to open her own bossa nova club
ninguem tá olheando: comedy, drama, fantasy after discovering some secrets of the bureaucratic angelic system, a guardian angel set himself to break every rule that there is for protecting humans
Valentina: drama a young trans girl moves to a more conservative rural town
Alice júnior: Coming of age film about a YouTuber trans girl as she challenges her catholic school's conservative ways

Paper Review: Sakae TP Iroful Loose Leaf A5
Review by Tina Koyama
A friend who writes with both graphite pencils and fountain pens told me about Sakae Iroful paper. He said it’s made for fountain pens, but he enjoys writing on it with pencil, too. I found that intriguing. At first blush, the two types of instruments seem to have opposing needs: Pencils want at least a bit of tooth, while fountain pens love to skate across smoothness. Can…

Rae Art supply review
“Rite In The Rain”
This red lead but also the normal led is AMAZING. It builds color so slow.
The pen is heavy and carpal tunnel friendly.
The paper is waterproof! (As is the pencil and lead), and appears to be made of bamboo or maybe wood? It doesn’t draw as well as normal paper does with the pen, but still lovely and is perfect for writing down notes

i got those markers that are everywhere on tiktok rn. pretty decent! they do pill and tear at the paper after a few layers, but that might be because of my sketchbook (multimedia, not specifically for paint markers). the colors are hard to match with the caps, and they become darker once they dry. there’s a decent amount of colors, four browns/tans for skin colors, and at least two shades of each color. there’s also a gold and silver! no gray though unfortunately. all in all, not too bad and a great option for those who can’t afford posca! Art Supply Review: Crelando 36 Sketchmarker Set
Sometimes Ads on Apps are helpful because they showed me that Lidl had Alcohol Markers and i was like WHAAAAAAT!? I had to get them but first research!
But i only could find a Youtube Video that is in polish, and sadly i don´t speak polish (here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFa-r84r0VI ) .
I still watched it muted to see how they will look when you use this Markers. And they looked promising. Also they are super cheap, it was a no brainer.
German Price: 8,99 €
So lets see how i think this Markers work, after they arrived at my home.
The Box they came in is pretty sturdy and has three separate compartments for the Markers to rest in.
I sorted them by number( This set has 35 Markers + Colorless Blender)
They have a Brush and a Chisel Tip, But only the Chisel Side has the Number and Color name printed on the cap. The Brush tip has a triangle symbol on it.
First i tested them in my mixed media sketchbook, the chisel side was a bit dry compared to the brush side but i guess its because the markers where stored upright and not on the side like recommended. Over time i think this will become not a problem anymore.
The range of colors is pretty mediocre, a few more yellows would be nice and it really needs more midtones in general. Skin Tones are not really possible.
Then i grabbed my Ohuhu Marker Sketchbook, swatched again and also did a blending test. they blend pretty good so it is really a shame that their are not enough midtones to use. i use the tip to tip method to get a better range of colors. The colors are also way more vibrant on this paper.
Result: They are good Markers for beginners because the Brush and Chisel Tip are very good for this price point and better as some from other cheap brands.
You also could use them for backgrounds or flat colors befor you use your better markers over them. I can recommend them.
I think i will use them for sketching so i cansave my Ohuhu markers for serious artworks.
All in all i hope this little review was helpful, i might do more in the future :)

Sennelier Oil Pastels are top of the line, the pastel of choice for a stream of famous artists over the last century. But what does that mean in practical terms? What are they like to work with? Are they worth their cost?
