Nonny, I saw the video and my first thought was this scene from Anaconda: Blood Orchid.

Just imagine redcoats trying to cross a similar body of water and they just start getting taken out one by one.

Hell, we can change it up a bit and have Desmond’s natural habitat being the bayou in New Orleans. Have Aveline be the one to first meet Desmond who is stalking the entirety of the bayou. He recognized her from Ratonhnhaké:ton’s memories so he doesn’t hurt her and even try to assist her whenever he can.

Aveline believes him to be a smart snake who just so happen to have a taste for the people that can be considered as her enemies.

She considered him an ally that she needs to be cautious about.

Desmond just likes to chill and help out whenever he sees Aveline.

The first time Ratonhnhaké:ton joins Aveline in the bayou though…

Desmond just curled around him and tried to snuggle him. Aveline was worried Desmond wanted to eat him for like… a second or so before she realized that, nah, Desmond is just, strangely, affectionate towards Ratonhnhaké:ton.

I’ve spent the last few months setting up and formatting the raw dialogue files into an easy to read setup, with sections divided by main story/sidequestline, geographical area, and character.

So...yeah, enjoy! Feel free to use the stuff on there for whatever fan project/fic/etc that you want (as long as you don’t take credit for the site itself or use it for ai stuff). In fact that part’s encouraged, since that kind of stuff is what made me wanna do this in the first place.

(Also if you see any kinds of errors - typos, broken links, information that I somehow got wrong, stuff from the ‘can’t figure out if/where it goes’ page that you know about - please let me know! Did my best to check on that stuff but also there’s just so much aha)

I headcanon that there's a special day of the perigee for each one of the 4 quads, and that out Valentine's is their celebration of matespritship tbh (as I'm sure many ppl here also share that same sentiment. there's FOUR ROMANTIC TITLES/ROLES)! I imagine it's the empire's way of highlighting just how important it is to not be without a quad in a weird.. celebratory or quirky way you'd imagine companies would to sell more shit. Just like a Shit Ton of emphasis and celebration for Having One and as such doing your civil duties to add to the slurry. And maybe being single on Alternia comes with a more pronounced social stigma? That you're seen as weak, undesirable, etc, because you literally need to fill a bucket w/certain quads to Ensure Survival- it's been like 5+ yrs but I BELIEVE not having a quad when the drones come to collect is a cullable offense?

interesting how the internet archive has the eagle of the ninth as a tv series from the seventies and as a radio program from 2010 and as the full text of the book in FRENCH... but not the original book :(
