Yes, exactly. This is it. 

Legends is a workplace comedy that flirts with parody. It’s supposed to be ridiculous. 

Plus, for all the flack that Legends gets from comic fans, they do get one thing right that JLD didn't and that's John's empathy. Like, I just finished Vol1 and you've got June Moone running from Enchantress and Deadman desperately trying to save her, and then John comes in and puts June back inside Enchantress and it's supposed to be a big 'bastard who makes the hard choices' move but it feels completely empty.

The reason why as a reader you're able to root for John despite the awful things he does is because you know his capacity for love and empathy. But JLD John is just a hollow jerk.

Decided to try my hand at doing a reading and I found @apprenticenanoswarm‘s Constantine fic and tried out the first paragraph.

Gonna set some really low expectations here, I did this for fun so don’t expect any audiobook-level voicework, also I ended up doing this in an American accent because I couldn’t manage an authentic British one I’M SORRY hopeit’sfine

Now that you mention it, same with Clock King!  I suppose Manta's head is probably in the neck of his helmet (at least partially) and there might be room for it there, but it's an odd design aesthetic.  He'd have to use cameras or something to see from the neck, but would probably have to do that anyway even with his head inside the cranium of the helmet.

I don't think those scenes were meant to be creepy since that era was ostensibly more innocent/oppressive than our own (at least when it came to slash in media meant for young people), but those moments sure seem weird in hindsight.  Ditto for this panel.

I've got the "perversity" tag for all the stripping and groin scenes (and it turns out I posted this panel 7 years ago, haha), but have added the "speedsters being creepy" tag to the relevant posts too.

Ah, yeah, OML took place both in a distant future time-line AND the present via a dimensional time-travel on OMLogan’s behalf. He gets to meet Daken, Laura and Gabby as well as get involved with Lester’s Brand of Bullshit when the Kingpin sets Lester on the job.

Lester tries to finish it off on his own dime and drags in Bullet into the mess.

Bullet choses his kid, but Lester had already killed his son by then.

So yeah, it supposed to be the same timeline I guess, writers forgot?
