No because it’s absolutely suffocating to have as many interests as I do…people are like “Oh you don’t know what you want to study yet? That’s okay!” NO. I have TOO MANY ideas of what I want to study. Marine biology? Yes. Criminology? Also yes. Humanities? God can’t save me. Psychology? I suppose I’ll just have to save myself then. Literature? Indubitably. Art history? How does this Renaissance painting portray the exact same feeling I’m having almost 700 years later? Law? What, like it’s hard?

Rather than risk your file being opened in the wrong program, throwing out the formatting, save it as a pdf and you won't have to worry about it.

How my life is going rn
[Meme ID: Image from the Percy Jackson trailer; Ares on a motorcycle with Grover, Percy, and Annabeth looking from behind the barrier. The word “colleges” is above the kids while the phrase “Me writing my Common App essay about how Rick Riordan changed me on a fundamental level” is on Ares; End ID]

Not hockey-
I don’t know who needs to hear this or if this is helpful but-
If you’re applying to college or plan on applying to college here’s a few things you should know:
1. Don’t tell your friends where you’re applying. Additionally, don’t brag about your stats.
2. (In some cases) college app season will make you do things that you never would usually do. It is extremely competitive and will make you pit yourself against your friends even and others no matter how different or similar your stats are.
3. Apply to safeties. A lot of safeties. Apply to safe safeties.
Ik this was so random but coming from someone who decided last minute to defer applying I thought this might be helpful :)

COLLEGE HELP!
alright guys *deep breath*
so i'm italian-american, and i'm interested in an HBCU
one of my main values is diversity (i wont even consider a school with +70% white students) and i have no issues attending a mainly black school
however
the last thing i want to do is make any of the students uncomfortable with my presence or make them feel like once again a (mainly?) white person is invading and taking over safe spaces
so if anyone has any advice or thoughts...
thanks!!

February Eighth, 2024
I started this blog in order to see the bright side in my life, a task that has proven to be difficult as of late. I'm at the point in the college application cycle where the only schools that I have heard back from are my absolute dream school (Rejected) and my safeties (all acceptances). Don't get me wrong, I am extremely proud of myself for getting into college, and I recognize that I am incredibly privileged for the opportunity to seek higher education, but I still can't help but feel disappointed. My dream school had a 4% acceptance rate. That means that 4 out of every hundred students get in. And like 90,000 kids apply. Realistically, I knew that I was nowhere near that 4%, but I got caught up in that what-if. The "What if I'm somehow worth it?" and the "What if the admissions officer decides to take a chance on me?". I poured my heart and soul into those writing supplements for that application, so everything fell flat when I got the rejection. Everything just suddenly seemed dull.
Yesterday afternoon, I was lying on my bed, staring at the ceiling and generally wallowing in self-pity, when I realized this was the second semester of my senior year of high school. I decided that I was not just going to sit on my ass, feeling sorry for myself just because some spoiled rich kid at school didn't want me. So here I am now, writing this blog entry with the intention of making not only myself feel better but maybe also that other former gifted kid whose dreams were just crushed. So read along as I figure out how to be satisfied with my life and to be happy again. Welcome to my blog!
I'm glad you're here,
Em

the worst part of being known as “the smart one” at school is the inevitable bit where you have to go to school on december 19 and tell everyone that you got rejected REA from Stanford after months of hearing “you can get in wherever you want” “no way any college would reject you” “i’ve got really good feelings about Stanford for you” someone kill me please

I'm applying for a master's degree, but they ask if I've ever had any exceptional academic achievements or exceptional extra-curricular achievements... and I have none...
Damn now I feel kinda stupid for not achieving anything cool. I looked through my emails if I might have won anything but might have forgotten about, but no....

First Time Parent - Ivy Brothers Review
We searched for two weeks to find a counselor that was specialized in Ivy League Admissions. After multiple interviews with other groups , we chose Ivy Brothers after a friend’s recommendation. Never looked back after that. Very straight forward strategies to get into an Ivy with clear concrete steps. Fast forward 2 years later, my son got into Yale EA.  Jenn Osborne
