not to be controversial or anything but how tf you gonna be a RE fan and then pro-capitalism and defend corporations and governmental greed and shit

Idly thinking about Tangled Wisteria (while writing Heartless I am MULTITASKING SO HARD) and like.

I feel like people expect Heart to have fallen to hanahaki in Apathy. No. Heart only contracts hanahaki in Apathy. He held on to the idea that he might be loved, maybe, possibly, even though he knows that some part of him believes that they don't. Mind comes and pulls him out. Heart makes it out of Apathy.

But Mind doesn't do more than give him a cursory glance and lead him to Soul. Soul doesn't do more than wave them on with a comment about washing up. Mind leaves Heart alone in the bathroom to shower and make his way back to his room alone.

To Mind and Soul, this is their care. Soul is trying to figure out why wisterias are growing over the headspace, and whether it is a problem he needs to tackle. Mind knows that if he sticks around Heart too long he's going to start an argument, so he does the bare minimum and gets out of there quickly, making sure to leave Heart a change of clothes.

But to Heart? They don't care about him do they. They pulled him out of Apathy because its a task on a list, something that had to be done. Not because of him.

(The tragedy is that they show their love in different ways. And that none of them are what Heart recognizes as love. Its a lot of miscommunication.)

Heart had also been holding it together in Apathy, and this felt like a slap in the face. Like being told that he was lying to himself, and that they don't love him at all, unlike what he's been clinging to in Apathy.

It's grounds for an emotional spiral. And if you read my little ramble about how hanahaki works in this au....

Heart does not make it out of his room the next day. Mind and Soul don't check in on him until the second day in a row he remains in his room. By then its almost too late.

ALTR 4766 Archive - Log Entry #2, 20-11-22

Further analysis of ALTR 4766′s unique energy signature indicates that the energy itself is constantly changing details such as wavelength, intensity, and at some points even displays visible light. Additional interviews with ALTRs that are knowledgeable of 4766 also lead to an interesting finding - the actual words spoken by said ALTRs also contain traces of this energy signature, resulting in a seemingly random change towards the pronouns used to refer to the subject.

This supports the theory that ALTR 4766 exists in a near constant state of flux. Whether 4766 is able to consistently maintain one specific form, or if it is unable to even remain in a state of what we classify as organic existence for an extended period of time is unknown, and would only be able to be confirmed if the subject was brought into containment and extensively tested.

At one point, this researcher noted that for approximately 0.64 seconds, 4766′s energy signature near perfectly matched that of ALTR 114209. One can only theorise as to what this could mean. Perhaps the two ALTRs come from the same origin point. Perhaps ALTR 4766 is attempting to learn how to best 114209 by mimicking it somehow, or by learning how it is formed or what it is made up of. Perhaps this is entirely random, and 4766′s signature is merely in the same vein as the number pi - where every pattern exists at some point or other.

With such limited information to work with, attempting to accurately document this ALTR will prove difficult without successful containment.

I've been trying to get myself to be more motivated using a reward system but it is NOT working. I don't know how to motivate myself when I seriously am too exhausted to care about anything.
