billy loomis / stu macher x reader with autism? tysm! and if you can’t do it no worries ^^
(Autism gang, let's go! Also, I added Danny for my own enjoyment, forgive me.)
✦Ghostfaces With a S/O That's Autistic✦
✦Content; No warnings that I can think of, fluff, GN!Reader with nothing specified physically✦ ✦Stu; He/Him, Billy; He/Him, Danny; He/They✦
✧Stu Macher✧
I'm fairly certain Stu is neurodivergent, ADHD specifically. You look at this man and tell me he has a neurotypical brain, I dare you. Yeah, no, you can't.
Now given this is 1995-1996, the concept of people having ADHD & Autism wasn't super accepted. Honestly, people treated it like a devastating blow most of the time. (Sadly, not a whole lot has changed) I imagine Stu doesn't really understand what being neurodivergent really means. Like, he knows what autism is, but he's got a bit of a warped view of what it means for you. You can blame media for the majority of it, but don't worry! He's not gonna go Anti-Vax Mom™ on yo ass.
He'll actually listen to you, even if he doesn't fully understand. You'll have to break it to him that Autism isn't a life-destroying thing. It just means you process things a bit differently, have sensitivities, etc. He'll grab the concept pretty quickly.
When you explain stuff like sensory processing issues, he'll actually relate really hard. Stu's lived his whole life thinking he was just weird for his reactions to certain stimuli, but when you describe your own experiences, it makes him question.
Bringing up that he might have ADHD won't make him want to get tested, he doesn't see a need, it won't change anything about him and he's not huge on the idea of medications. But, he will ask you more questions. Autism & ADHD are different but they do have a decent amount of overlap and you know more than he does so he trusts your judgment.
"Wait is that why I feel like I wanna tear my skin off when I feel velvet?! ...YOU MEAN NOT EVERYONE HEARS ELECTRICITY? IT'S JUST US?!"
Mans has an epiphany every five seconds while you're talking.
When it comes to him helping you, he tries his best, but he's spacey and forgets certain things. Still, he does his best to keep it all in mind. If he knows there's one food you absolutely can't stand, he'll keep it off your plate. Even if it means scraping it all onto his own and making a mess.
Is there a sound that makes it feel like your head's about to explode? He'll cover your ears, put his head on your head/shoulder and hum something.
Sometimes, if you two share a sensitivity, he'll loudly express his hatred for it and insist you both leave/get rid of whatever's causing it.
Has probably broken something that was making a noise you both hated. "Ugh, finally. Look, see? Problem solved! Aren't I a genius, babe?"
Stu absolutely understands the consumption of hyperfixations and he supports you completely. If it's something he can't get into, sometimes he comes across a bit aloof to it, because it doesn't give his brain the dopamine rush it does for you. Still, he's glad you have something you enjoy and he'll still listen to your rants. As long as you do the same for him.
If you both are hyperfixating on the same thing at the same thing? Bro, y'all annoy the shit out of everyone and he does not give a single fuck.
If anyone makes you feel like shit for talking about it, he's gonna rip them a new one. He makes fun of their biggest insecurities if he feels they deserve it. Is it cruel? Yes, but he, doesn't, care. If you don't wanna feel his wrath, you sit there and listen intently to his baby's ramblings, damnit.
Stu's a pretty intense dude and he likes a lot of stimulation. But he understands if you get overwhelmed sometimes. His tolerance for lots of stuff going on is a lot higher than most people. Again, he'll cover your ears if it's a lot of noise. He'll cover your eyes if it's too much visual stimuli, keep you close to his body in a crowd. This also helps if you're shorter than him because he can surround you completely, helps feel like you're disconnected from the stressors around you.
He's hella rich, he'll get you all the fidget toys you want. All the shit you want for a hyperfixation. Best believe you get the best headphones and music player the market has to offer for those times you need to drown shit out.
He's a touchy-feely person and he's likely to forget your physical boundaries sometimes if touch is a problem for you. But he'll always apologize when you correct him. If touch isn't a problem, he's super cuddly. And if you're the type to be only okay with touch from specific people, he gets a huge ego boost from being that person.
He's a bit boney & fidgety but makes a decent human blanket.
An overall 10/10 for a Neurodivergent Partner.
✧Billy Loomis✧
I'm gonna be real with you, chief. He's not the best. He's not terrible! But not the best. I'm not saying he's gonna bully you for the things you do, no, he's an overall sweet partner in all honesty. He's patient and understanding.
Still, if he doesn't understand a thing you're doing, he might come across a bit annoyed. Like if you have an audible stim that you keep repeating, his tone comes across a bit snappy when he asks why you do it. He's not trying to upset you, his temper's just a bit shaky.
Sitting him down and explaining that you're autistic might get you a few annoying questions. He's not an asshole, he means well, but the questions come across rude. Ex; "But you don't act autistic.", "But you do (insert stereotypical thing).", etc. If you tell him that most of the stuff he knows is basically all poor representation and rumors, he'll give you a pretty basic apology and he'll stop. Billy will also ask what else is a result of shitty ideas of autism so he knows better. (You'll need to tell him that the R-word is a slur. He doesn't really use it but it's good for him to be aware.)
I personally see Billy as neurotypical, but he's been friends with Stu for a long time. If you have behaviors that overlap with Stu's, he'll handle it perfectly. He's a veteran at it.
Sometimes he'll think you're being a bit too sensitive about sensory stimuli, but when you explain it's not just that you dislike something, he'll be more willing to understand.
"It's just a bit of corn, it's not that bad." "Billy, when I bite into a single kernel, it triggers my fight or flight response, my body goes into panic mode, and I wanna tear my hair out and throw up. It is that bad." "...oh. Aight, here, trade me."
When it comes to overstimulation caused by stuff like noise and people, he actually understands. He's an introvert and large crowds exhaust him, which makes him irritable. If he sees you starting to get antsy and uncomfortable in a loud environment, he'll give you his walkman headphones and find a reason for you both to leave. He's excellent at manipulation, he'll find a way.
If you have skin sensitivity, he'll start keeping things on him that help alleviates it. Scissors to cut tags out of your clothes, a spare shirt(that's his because he totally has a kink for that), hand sanitizer, etc.
Best believe he's ready to throw hands with anyone who gives you shit. He will whoop ass, no hesitation. Billy's a very possessive & protective partner most of the time, he's ready to defend your honor at the drop of a hat.
He's got his hobbies and likes, but he doesn't have anything he'd consider a hyperfixation. Still, he'll be perfectly happy for you that you've found one. Sometimes he has to ask you to stop talking when you're rambling about it, but he learned after the first two times to specify it wasn't personal. He just needs quiet every now and then and he knows you'll get sad if he isn't actually listening to you.
Like Stu, he'll be very happy if your hyperfixation has anything to do with his own interests. Billy will actually be impressed if you know more niche facts and nuances than he is, this is often the easiest way to hold his attention when you're in a long info-dump.
He's not as rich as Stu, but he's got some decent money, plus a part-time job. His spare money will definitely be spent on your interests, no matter what it is. It could be a hyper-specific brand of toys and he'll buy the most expensive one they offer. He wants you to be happy! (And the terrible part of him wants to have the leverage to keep you loyal to him, no matter how terrible his actions get)
Despite his struggle to understand sensory processing disorder, he actually offers some pretty decent suggestions to get around it. Using myself as an example, I often struggle to brush my teeth because it'll feel like bugs are in my teeth. If you had something like this, he'd come up with a potential solution on the spot. "What if you brushed them in the shower? That way you can focus more on the water than the brushing."
Again, similarities between you and Stu will catch his attention and he'll make a mental note of it. One, he'll see if he can use his experience with Stu to handle your symptoms better. Two, he'll definitely consider asking you if Stu's neurodivergent.
Not the best, but he's trying his best. Solid 7/10.
✧Danny Johnson✧
ANOTHER NEURODIVERGENT.
I headcanon that Danny has AuDHD, which is both Autism & ADHD. Once he was diagnosed (well into his twenties), it was like they had opened pandora's box. Researching it made them go "OHH THAT'S WHY" every five seconds.
He grew up in rural Utah with a shitty dad who would definitely not treat Danny well if he knew about his son's neurodivergence. But that doesn't matter cause the bastard's dead. Letting Danny have the freedom to research the topic to his heart's content, which he does. It helped them immensely in terms of lifestyle.
When you come into his life and explain that you're autistic, he's completely accepting right off the bat. That's also assuming he wasn't stalking you for months prior to your relationship and that he didn't already know to begin with.
He's probably the most equipped to handle things like sensory overload & sensitivities, given he has so many himself. He's also, ironically enough, got the most patience for things like stims & info-dumping. Danny's a tempermental hypocrite but on this list he's the most chill with these things, funny eh?
They absolutely pick up on some of your stims and you pick up on his. It makes them so much worse, but it's cute. His main stims involve his hands and little sounds with his mouth, like whistling or humming.
Your food sensitivities don't need to be explained to him, he's got a million. It's aggravating because he wants to be a foodie so bad but then they have all these damn sensory problems. If a single piece of broccoli will ruin your entire meal, broccoli will be essentially banned from the house. He's a romantic like that.
Pre-cuts tags from your clothes, picks out things from pre-made meals that you hate before he even gives it to you, has a plethora of scented candles you like to cover up troublesome smells, and he's got a million versions of headphones/earbuds. They all work he just loses them constantly, buys more, then finds the originals again. Honestly, they have a whole drawer dedicated to music players.
Your ability to stick to a schedule helps out with his ADHD experience. He's got a pretty decent routine himself, but sometimes he'll fuck it up and find it hard to get back on track. For example, they've misplaced their meds and it's fucking up their whole morning? There you are with the correction and they're back on track. He'll jokingly call you a saint for it.
Sometimes his temper gets touchy and he'll get snappy at something you do. (This is more a general thing and less an Autistic thing) He gets real guilty when you look at him with sadness and quickly apologizes. Which is baffling, given they were pretty sure they were incapable of guilt for a long time.
"I'm sorry, sorry, it's not you. Not mad at you. Mad at this other thing, it's not personal, doll, sorry."
If you're overstimulated, Danny's got you covered, rest assured. He's got earbuds, at least three fidget toys, and he's always ready to give you comforting pressure. Whether it's by acting like a weighted blanket or a tight hug. They also really appreciate when you return the favor when they've had a bad day at work.
They get a huge ego boost if you consider him your main comfort, or if your comfort object is something of his. Like a gift they gave you or some article of their clothing.
Actively researches your hyperfixation so he can engage in conversation with you about it. They like seeing you get all excited when they bring it up. Most of the time, he ends up having a hyperfixation on it as well. If you do the same for him? You're asking for a cuddly bitch of a man.
Feels their cold heart melt when you do something to help their AuDHD. Remembering his safe foods, his fidgets, etc. If he wasn't obsessed before, he is now.
Anyone who gives you shit for being autistic is dead by morning, that's a basic rule. If you defend him against bullshit? He's fucking the shit out of you.(/hj)
Considers you a hyperfixation, honestly.
100/10, you caught a winner with Danny. If you don't mind obsessive behavior, possessiveness, and murder. But c'mon. You're here. Of course, you don't mind.

so it's nice to see a lot of backlash against the proposed Missouri legislation overseeing material in public libraries, but most of the times I've seen it on tumblr it's been in the context of "this is antis' fault" or whatever and like. libraries have been dealing with this shit for ages, do we have to make it about the fandom drama du jour for anyone to give a damn

Hello! 🔆
Read this post before following!
Do not interact if you are…
- a minor.
This blog is 18+ for a reason. If you do not have your age labelled clearly on your blog confirming that you are an adult, then I am not comfortable with you viewing this blog or my content. I’m not shy with the block button.
- a blank blog. I obviously can’t tell anything about you if there’s nothing there at all.
- a cishet man. I prefer that people include their preferred pronouns wherever they include their age in order to enforce this. Don’t spam like my content.
If we’re mutuals and you’re a man you’re fine to interact with me individually, but this blog is meant to be a safe space for wlw/nblw content. I have @muckfe for content that includes/is more open to the male gaze. Be respectful regardless.
- racist, homophobic, biphobic, transphobic, sexist, ableist, pro-capitalism, pro-military, pro-cop, or anti-vax
I consider “sissy” blogs sexist. It’s not an insult or degrading concept to embrace and express femininity. Don’t follow me.
- anti-sex worker. We support sex workers here. No exceptions. Sex work is real work.
- if you have the word r*pe in your url/bio/posts and consider it a kink. Cnc is okay with me within the right contexts and with the appropriate warnings, but glorifying or romanticizing sexual assault is not allowed here.
- if you think cheating is a kink 🤢🤮
- if you add gross comments to other peoples posts without permission, or think it’s okay to approach people as if they are sex objects.
Feel free to interact if you are…
- not a cishet man, and run a similar blog to mine. My dms are closed but submissions and asks are open 😌
ladies (and nb folks) are free to submit pictures if you’re feeling cute! I’ll only post if you ask me to, and the pic won’t get me flagged ✌🏻😁
- a mutual.
Mutuals can objectify me, as a treat. (To us both)
General trigger warnings include: bondage, degrading language (but no slurs allowed on my blog ever), cnc elements including somnophilia, a/b/o, breeding kink/unprotected sex, anal.
Body parts =/= gender! Please keep this in mind when following/interacting with my blog.
I also want to add that I’m not looking for a relationship 🔆
And, I don’t appreciate cishet men spam liking my content. Feels creepy. Especially if your blog is all uncredited porn gifs✌🏻
Please let me know if I reblog a post that has been taken or reposted from someone else so I can credit original content creators 💞
I consider compliments of any kind to be gender neutral, so if I leave a tag on your post with a term you don’t align with/feel comfortable with please let me know! A compliment is for you, not me. If it doesn’t make you happy then I’ll remove it 🫶🏻
Thanks for reading ✨

I have been posting fanfic on the internet (or at least a college vax) since 1989. I started writing fanfic around 1984. And I can truthfully say that in all that time, I have encountered two incest fics. TWO. And only because my curiosity got the better of me and I clicked on them. YOU KNOW WHAT HAS FILLED MY SOCIAL MEDIA EXPERIENCE WITH PEDOPHILIA AND INCEST? ANTIS.
I cannot go more than a day or two on Tumblr now without reading their paranoid delusions attacking queer people and women who don't read or write anything of the sort. Punching down, doing absolutely nothing to help actual victims, and forcing us all to be exposed to their bizarre obsessions with "pedos" and incest day after day. It's disturbing. it's abusive. It's cultish behavior, in which they deny reality and grab virtual pitchforks and torches because it feels good to be in an imaginary battle against baddies. But it's triggering to real, honest to gosh survivors of sexual abuse.
And it does absolutely nothing to protect real life children, who have to KNOW about these obscure fics they're so worried about, in order to SEARCH for them, then click through multiple levels of adult filters and warnings saying they're adults, giving responsible parents' content blockers a chance to work.
But congratulations, antis! Well done. I'm sure your obsession with these taboo subjects, blaring the words "incest" and "pedophilia" incessantly day after day in social media spaces as the Dangerous Thing That Teenagers Are Forbidden to See (which makes it sound tempting) has encouraged countless young people who never would have otherwise to seek them out.
Frankly, I wish you antis would stop inundating the rest of us with your obsessions (kinks?) in public spaces. Why don't you make a website where you can have discussions about incest and pedophiles among yourselves, tagged and hidden behind adult filters so the rest of us don't have to come across them by accident? You know, the way AO3 does.
--
Yeah, fandom QAnon is really annoying.
My tumblr is not a safe zone for... like... anything. If I want to tell people about my Wen Ning/teen Lan Sizhui feels, I certainly will. But it's usually not that hard to detect the enthusiastic people with kinks you hate and just not read their shit.
~Friendly Reminder~ concern troll PSA garbage leaks out everywhere, like fluids from a zombie full of holes.

Special thanks to Jester for commissioning this episode! You can find out more about commissions on our Patreon.
Hmm, a 2000s-era supernatural love triangle YA novel by a Utah-raised author with a lot of extremely unfortunate implications baked into the lore….this all sounds familiar, but we can’t put our finger on it. Maybe it’s just Pike specifically name-dropping Stephanie Meyer all over the place. If only this protagonist had as much going on internally as Bella Swan.

Owl House Season 2 Reviewcaps: Keeping Up A-Fear-ances or Eda Sez “For Fuck’s Sake Vacinate your Kids”
Tumblr media
Whelp this is a bit late and early at the same time! Yeah for those just joinnig us first welcome, have David Byrne of the Talking Heads feeding screensaver fish.
Tumblr media
But yeah orignally I intended to review both this episode and the next monday, as I woudln’t be back from my computer till sunday and would still be recovering from my vacation. For reasons I don’t feel like going into publicly, we ended up having to come back.. after having already driven 10 hours there the previous day in teh dark.. nad the trip was the same amount back.
Tumblr media
Yup. We managed to have a really good week despite our troubles and I spent most of my week having fun from visiting a farm, to hanging out with a friend and FINALLY getting a copy of “My Summer Story”, the obscure sequel to a Christmas Story. One of FOUR sequels it turns out. Yes REALLY. FOUR. I”m tempted to take a look at them at some point if there’s enough intrest so let me know. Point is I had a good week but figured it’d be silly to still wait till monday to do the two latest episodes. Not only was it silly to wait on something that people enjoy readying the day the episodes come out and are more likely to do so then, but this way It relaxed my schedule enough I could start doing five reviews a week .Everybody wins: I get a more resonable schedule, you get the reviews earlier, and my filing cabinet gets fed.
Tumblr media
Well I tried. So yeah TLDR: I’m back, i’m better than ever, and i’m ready to crack into this episode so join me under the cut if that intrests you.
Content Warning: This review will deal with the anti-vax movement, as this episode is a clear take that against it and thus there’s no real avoiding it. So if you’ve had bad past experience with your parents not vaccinating you or with anti-vax protestors, or that movement in general this review might trigger you and you might be more comfortable sitting it out. Like wise as someone who is autistic, I will be drawing parallels ot that since it is commonly blamed on vaccines even though it is not remotely caused by them, so if you’ve had a love one try to “cure you” of your autusim or some other such bullshit, this review might trigger you as well.
Finally if you are an anti-vaxxer and want to debate me on it... please don’t and please try to think of Science as your friend whose trying to help, but it takes a lot of time and effort to cure something or help ease it and some things just aren’t currable withcurrent technology.
 Thank you for your time.
So we open SOME TIME AGO
Tumblr media
Yes ANOTHER one.  I didn’t even realize till sitting down to write this review this was the second one in a row. If it happens again with the next episode I get a free sundae! I’m not even put off by it: it’s needed for both episodes, for last episode as an effective teaser to build up tension and this one sets up WHY Eda hates her mother so much, why she’s so keen to avoid her, and thus make her sympathetic as she pushes the woman away.
So about that reason why: we meet a young Eda shortly after the curse, whose relating to a healer, naturally from the healing coven, about the nightmare she has, about a monster chasing her and waking up having lost huge flashes of time.
The Healer TRIES to tell Gwendolyn that they simply CAN’T do anything; This curse is something they haven’t seen before, they can’t just magically remove it.. because they don’t know what magic would magically remove it because they can’t figure out the curse period. The healer offers to talk to the Potions Coven, get a temporary fix to at least combat it, medcine but Gwendolyn wants an all or nothing cure and says to “cut it out of her if you have to”.. which Eda SHOCKINGLY runs away from.. and trips over the portal. Honestly I hadn’t thought much about how Eda had got the portal to the human realm, but I did figure it wasn’t in a way she knew how to replicate or easily track down. My bet was on “won it in a card game” possibly a children’s card game.. though really a card game with souls on the line would be pretty standard boiling isles stuff... what i’m saying is this show should parody Yu-Gi-Oh and that I figured it was by chance and was right, I just didn’t think it was THAT random or that early in her life. So she escaped to our world to avoid her mother... who we’ll talk about in a moment.
Present day and Eda is grumpy because she’s out of Apple Blood this morning.. which given it’s now expliclty a fantastic version of alchohl as of this episode, tells me she has a problem. She takes some potion to help with her curse then goes downstairs to find Lilith undergoing HER first manfestation of the curse, helping her. It’s a ncie moment: Lilith admits she had no idea just HOW horrible the curse was nor how Eda lived with this. It gives texture to her earlier treatment of it and her doing this to her sister: she felt horrible and knew it was bad.. but had no idea just HOW bad or how painful it was.. and how strong her sister was for living with it.
Eda shrugs it off though: the potions are working again, she’s stashed tons around the house, and it stops the transformation cold. It also makes sense: the curse can pop up again at any time, so having one handy just in case is just good foresight and presumibly they have so much because Eda could afford a ton after the Selkiegris was cashed in and wisely used the opporunity to power load since apparently it dosen’t go bad.
Lilith’s arm then comes off, which FINALLY clarifies the limb thing is just a side effect of the curse, and as Eda put sit it can be fun eventually. Eda then runs into Luz whose exausted, having searched her textbooks and all the books they have but found NOTHING about getting home. I’m going to assume this is simply the cumilation of weeks of work and move on quitely. Eda admits she just.. found it like we saw.. and then gets a feeling and runs outside. Outside she admits she was using it to hide someone.. and Gwendy shows up on cue on her own staff, a mighty hawk.
Tumblr media
Or maybe it’s a falcon. One of the two. Look point is magical anti-vaxxer has a big bird.
Turns out Gwendy shows up once a year to try to cure the curse, to the shock of Luz, who wasn’t aware Eda’s mom was in her life and desperatley misses her own, and Lilith... who as it turns out has been pretty much abandoned by her mother, with Gwenolyn not even showing up for Lilith’s coven intiation and Lilith being devistated when she finds out this is a yearly thing. Lilith’s concerns aren’t overblown either: Gwendolyn utterly ignores her other daughter and dosen’t even notice she’s also cursed now despite it being obvious, instead going on abotu the petrification ceremony. Eda’s response.. is to send her away and tell her to get the fuck out in as child freindly a manor as possible.
Luz and Lilith are understandably pissed, the former missing her own mother and not having proper context for Gwendolyn’s anti-vax style behavior, and since Eda is abrasive on a good day assuming she just dislikes her mom for some petty greviance and not for VERY GOOD VERY PAINFUL reasons isn’t exactly unfair. Lilith.. is again just plain hurt to find out her mom visits Eda EVERY YEAR, but despite having been the emperor’s right hand, successful, hard working and done everything right from the outside.... she clearly NEVER visits Lilith or even notices she’s alive.
It honestly helps frame Lilith’s jealously of Eda: Gwendolyn likely ALWAYS faovred Eda on some level given the curse happened and Lilith simply let her resnetment for her sister not only being objectively better at magic with less effort but also more loved by her mom despite how far Lilith came in life crystalize into the toxic resentment we saw in “Agony of a Witch”. it dosen’t make what she did remotely OKAY, and the show dosen’t use this as an easy out for that behavior, but it does help give context of why she sunk so low: the coven.. really was all she had and it’s no wonder she trusted it so much when her own mother, and possibly father, couldn’t care less about her and her own sister she’s trying to desperately help after hurting turns her back on said help for valid reasons Lilith simply coudn’t believe till it was hitting her in the face.
What’s NOT okay is Lilith taking it out on King, whose eagerly hoping to meet his dad with Lilith claming King Sr abandoned his son and naturally breaks the poor little guy. After he just spent the last episode mentally broken over the fact his whole life was a lie.
Tumblr media
So they grouse over their shitty parents and eat black market ice cream.. no really Eda got it from the night market..... so it probably has a lot of cocaine in it. I’m just saying those tubs are clearly 20% ice cream, 40% spiders 40% cocaine.  It also made me wonder if they make weed ice cream.. and while they apparently don’t mass produce it YET, you can indeed make that and I shall at some point. Add it to my dreams list such as a three way with two clones of keith david,  getting the archie reboot sonic trades at a cheap price or finally shooting Rob Liefield off into space and to a distant equally douchey moon.
We’ll circle back to this soon enough. So Luz not realizing what she’s dealing with offers to help Gwendy with her plans, with Gwendy kindly offering Luz info on the human world for her help. So the two go to see her spirtiual guru who heals a ... goblin? Is that what this unvierses goblins look like? Their more pig like so is it an imp? Imps look more like this.
Tumblr media
So is it more a Moblin? A hobgoblin? A Robbin Goblin? A Scott? The only answer I have is it’s not a robgoblin, aka Rob Schinder’s true species. Maybe.
So the robe guy gives Gwendy a book that apparently has a cure for true belivers, having been training her and having her gather stuff. So Gwendy and Luz set out to test this cure.. but since Eda isn’t intrested how will they lure her?
Tumblr media
It’s REALLY not that far off: They lure Eda with signs for free appleblood and barrage her with stuff stressing her out and causing her to floof out with Luz getting less and less sure. Eventually after they almost kill Eda with giant crystals, Luz wants to call this off because “Eda can’t be cursed if she’s dead” is not a legit cure. Back at the house LIlith finds all the spare potions missing just as she goes Raven, her curse turning her into one because that’s her motif.. it was even in her mask we only saw once that looked more like an orgy mask I only knew about thanks to my friend Jess.
Unsuprisingly, Gwendy STOLE all of them. And it’s with this that it’s time to talk about Gwendolyn and this episodes masterful use of metaphor to pick apart the anti-vax movement. Gwendolyn is a mildly sympathetic version: she wants a cure, not a solution a CURE.. but is so bogged down by wanting that, by not ACCCEPTING her daughter has an illness that can at least be treated till a cure can be found some day and that keeps her healthy and ALIVE, that it’s all or nothing and that her medciine itself and the people who made it MUST Be bad because they can’t fix it only slow her disease down. It’s why the Anti-Vax movement is so popular: Science should be belivived but it’s not an easy solution and sometimes it just STALLS. It fails you and it sucks when it does.  The episode shows how easy it is for a seemingly rational person like Gwendy to be so desperat efor a solution they BLAME science , or magical science in this case, itself and feel it’s bad simply because it failed them or isn’t moving fast enough or just don’t like it on principal. HOw a good person can go down a VERY bad road.
And let’s be clear here: some Anti-Vaxxers are MUCH WORSE. As someone with Autisim i’ve seen miracle cures peddled for what i have, what I am good and bad treated like a disease instead of simply something that makes me diffrent and something I have to work with instead of against. I’ve seen people blame vaccines over what I have. And most recently while some have had valid reasons to turn down a vaccine (allergies or worries about their body chemsitry), a huge number haven’t simply because Fox News told them to.
That’s why this episode is important and why I commend Dana for doing this message: Kids NEED to know sometimes their parents are wrong and medicine can help. Kids not getting medicine because of some bullshit distrust of science, not the medical industry is something we NEED to fucking stop before it kills children, be it the ones not getting thier shots or the ones not getting herd immunity and going to the kids themselves is a HELL of a move and a vital one.
So Luz takes the book and finds the cures are all bullshit, another lesson as many people take advantage of the anti-vax movement to sell dangerous shit, and tries to help Eda with a potion.. and finds Eda’s mom stoll them all. Eda then finds both when they crash and is rightfully livid not only that her mom tricked her but her mom got LUZ involved. I do like that Eda’s not mad at Luz, she knows the kid meant well and was manipulated by an adult.. but it’s enough to turn her. Oh and it gets worse as Monster Lilith Shows up and the two start fighting.
Gwendy is thrown as she had no idea, which king RIGHTFULLY lays into her over: while lilith was projecting with him... Gwendy is still a shitty parent and adult or not she neglected the hell out of Lilith and had she not they woudln’t be dealing with TWO monsters. Hell had she been a better parent they wouldn’t be dealing with this at ALL.
Gwendy bakes in this so while Luz goes to deal with this... Gwendy goes to see her mentor.. who turns out to be a bunch of the Roblins wearing a cloak and openly bragging about scamming her. Ah the old Vincent Adultman. Her response.. is to show what a beast master can do. This is where Jess comes in again: See we talk over each episode and general world buliding stuff and a few weaks back she brought up the fact the beast master coven was kind of limiting, after all all you can do is control beasts right? I figured it was partly intetional. .but also countered about summon magic, like in final fantasy: that you can SUMMON powerful creatures, or control them like druids do or simply talk to them. And this episode proved me right on just HOW powerful that can be as the idiots are using the fire hornets from the first episode of this season to warm themsevles.. which Gwendy quickly uses to make a statment, lambasting them for DARING to lie about a cure for her daughter, to dare string people along and use their hopes to try and steal all their savings, and tells them to LEAVE. Never come back or she’ll shove a bear up their ass. Well okay the bear is implied.  My reactoin to all of this is about what you’d expect.
Tumblr media
It also proves me right in that this magic can be useful as it is awesome which at the risk of doing two gifs in a row but fuck it this is waranted...
Tumblr media
But the show suprises me more as when Gwen shows up with the money to buy more potions and help luz stop the kaiju fight the show shows off another creative use for the magic neither me nor @jess-the-vampire thought of: Gwen can give aspects of a beast to inaniamte objects. What tha tmeans is she gives some roof tiles the wings and ears and eyes of a bat so she can fly.. only one of those is necessary but it wouldn’t be as cool. So in a sense she can do a beast takeover on inanimate objects. That... fucking slaps.
So we get an emoitional moment: Gwen does what any parent who was swept up in an anti-vax movement should do and apologizes for her bullshit, hugging her daughter and allowing eda to take control. Gwen also tries talking to LIlith, saying she thought she was resilent enough she didn’t need her mother.. and was clearly wrong and wants to make amends. This is enough to at least pause Lilith and allow Luz to jam an elixer down her throat and eda’s curing both and causing a tearful hug.
So with that it’s time for the wrap up: Gwendy is heading back home but is now back on good terms iwth her mom.. and so is Lilith whose going with her. I’m eh about this: it’s clearly for good plot reasons.. but Lilith made such a good additoin to the cast it feels like a waste to just.. put her off with her mom. I feel Dana has good reason for this, but I wish she wasn’t. As does Hooty whose naturally devistated his best friend is leaving and even being Pen Pals dosen’t work because he can’t hold a pen. Still someone is working on the curse.. and more importantly.. Gwen does hold up her end of the bargin as thanks/apology to luz: There WAS a human here once and she read about it in the library, setting up today’s episode i’ll be watching as soon as I finish this. SEQUEL HOOK. LET’S GO.
Or not. Son of a bitch I nearly forgot the most important part till I was in the middle of the new episode devouring it like a hostess fruit pie. Luz worries about her mom as it’s been past three months and Camp is Long over.... only for us to cut back to the human world.. and find Camilla is fine.. and acompanied by what she THINKS is luz. Uh oh ....I know where this is going. CLONE SAGA!
Tumblr media
Final Thoughts:
This episode continues season 2′s hot streak. It’s emotional, has a DAMN important message and introduces a great new character. It’s not remotely subtle with it’s message.. but given the issue it’s tackling it reallyc an’t afford to be any less subtle than a brick and it carries it well.

Story Update!
So I have decided to send the team on another case - so they are going to San Antonio, TX at Christmas time! And the case is going to have ties to the world of women's boxing...
I know very little else about what's in store...but I am slowly putting the puzzle pieces together as I research the city (especially what it's like at Christmas) and women's boxing.
See below the cut for more musings about the potential unsub... For those interested in how I kind of piece together these sorts of things - this is literally a ramble which allowed me to come to some sort of decision about what I am going to do.
Content: Mention of CM type violence and motivations/triggers, fatness, brief mention of a real murder (of a minor), religion vs science (I'm pro science...not anti religion)
I am still not sure what I want to explore unsub wise...but I am thinking about what sorts of things that make me angry and that I wish were fixed or didn't happen...
Last time I looked at sexism in the military as a potential trigger so I want to look at something a bit different. Also I want to be mindful of where the story is situated within canon... So we're currently in the time between the case where the man was killing people in pools in California (CM 13x10) and Full-Tilt Boogie where they run into how drug addiction affects a whole town. (CM 13x11)...
Hmmmmm...
Ok what I know I don't want to do right now:
- something connected to pedophilia
- a piece where the unsub's actions are the result of a dissociative mental illness (1. I think that area needs to be very carefully tread if not to propagate harmful stereotypes 2. The previous canon case centered on this type of unsub)
- a bomber or arsonist or unsub which is targetting large groups - nor one that is primarily mission driven (this was the type of unsub mindset I explored in Depth Hoar)
Sooo... I was thinking about a few things that get me angry right now...
A couple things that are top of mind:
I hate it when parents refuse (from choice not due to things like poverty or lack of access to education) their kids medical care - especially in the name of religion or out of pure selfish "we know better than doctors" sentiment. Specifically I am thinking of anti-vax parents and the case in Canada where the little boy died because his parents refused to acknowledge that their son had diabetes and required insulin. (I am still furious and old testament vengeful when I think of what those parents allowed to happen.) ou can follow whatever religion or cult or spiritual practice you want as an adult as long as you aren't hurting others...but to ME it seems supremely arrogant and selfish and in some cases bordering on evil to claim that your religion knows better than science and doctors - especially when it comes to the health of your child. (don't get me wrong I know this is complex and that sometimes doctors or other experts disagree on treatment etc...that bias and power have shaped the current practices and beliefs of science and I am all for informed choice and more equitable care options and research which is more aware of it's own bias... But just because something could be done better or differently does not mean the entire body of knowledge and practice is flawed.) In cases like this I am reminded of the joke where the person does in the flood because they believe "God will save them" so they don't heed the warning to evacuate, don't jump on the boat that comes by, and don't accept the help of the helicopter... And then at the Pearly Gates God reveals that they sent the warning, the boat, and the helicopter...
Conversely (and some people will see this as hypocritical - and maybe it is based on the previous bullet) but I hate hate HATE it when people equate childhood obesity with child abuse.
How and why my fatness is linked to my undiagnosed ADHD. (There are multiple factors of course... But more and more I am understanding the links.
A lot of this series I am writing has let me explore (as a very fat woman) ideas around fatness, health, cultural and individual responses - and (just got back from googling) apparently San Antonio has (with some success) been "fighting obesity" which they see as an effect of poverty... and to my relief there is recognition within the community that obesity is frequently not the result of individual choice...but rather the conglomeration of factors... maybe that is an avenue to explore in terms of trigger though...source:
So maybe the trigger is somehow linked to fatness...which can then be linked to the boxing world somehow... Hmmmm....
Ok folks stay tuned...

A new report from the Center for Countering Digital Hate and Anti-Vax Watch found that up to 65 percent of “anti-vaccine content” on Facebook and Twitter originated from twelve influencers within the anti-vaxxer movement.
The report focused on these twelve accounts after an analysis of content that was shared and posted on Facebook and Twitter 812,000 times between Feb. 1 and March 16.
On Facebook alone, the content from these individuals, which the reports dubs as the “Disinformation Dozen,” accounts for 73 percent of all anti-vaxxer content posted or shared on the platform in the last two months.
The largest anti-vaxxer influencer on social media, according to the report, is Joseph Mercola. Mercola is an alternative medicine promoter who runs a multimillion dollar online business selling treatments and dietary supplements. The FDA recently sent Mercola a warning over his sham treatments for COVID-19.

Food for thought
At last week's Data Bites, I noted how 'Wales' is a standard unit of area. This week, along comes a map which shows that all the built-up land in the UK is equivalent to one Wales:
Tumblr media
The map is from the National Food Strategy, published yesterday (and the man has a point).
It has divided opinion, judging by the responses to this tweet. I understand where the sceptics are coming from - at first glance, it may be confusing, given Wales isn't actually entirely built up, Cornwall made of peat, or Shetland that close to the mainland (or home to all the UK's golf courses). And I'm often critical of people using maps just because the data is geographical in some way, when a different, non-map visualisation would be better.
But I actually think this one works. Using a familiar geography to represent areas given over to particular land use might help us grasp it more readily (urban areas = size of Wales, beef and lamb pastures = more of the country than anything else). It's also clear that a huge amount of overseas land is needed to feed the UK, too.
The map has grabbed people's attention and got them talking, which is no bad thing. And it tells the main stories I suspect its creators wanted to. In other words, it's made those messages... land.
Trash talk
Happy Take Out The Trash Day!
Yesterday saw A LOT of things published by Cabinet Office - data on special advisers, correspondence with parliamentarians, public bodies and major projects to name but a few, and the small matter of the new plans outlining departmental priorities and how their performance will be measured.
It's great that government is publishing this stuff. It's less great that too much of it still involves data being published in PDFs not spreadsheets. And it's even less great that the ignoble tradition of Take Out The Trash Day continues, for all the reasons here (written yesterday) and here (written in 2017).
I know this isn't (necessarily) deliberate, and it's a lot of good people working very hard to get things finished before the summer (as my 2017 piece acknowledges). And it's good to see government being transparent.
But it's 2021, for crying out loud. The data collection should be easier. The use of this data in government should be more widespread to begin with.
We should expect better.
In other news:
I was really pleased to have helped the excellent team at Transparency International UK (by way of some comments on a draft) with their new report exploring access and influence in UK housing policy, House of Cards. Read it here.
One of our recent Data Bites speakers, Doug Gurr, is apparently in the running to run the NHS. More here.
Any excuse to plug my Audrey Tang interview.
The good folk at ODI Leeds/The Data City/the ODI have picked up and run with my (and others') attempt to map the UK government data ecosystem. Do help them out.
Five years ago this week...
Regarding last week's headline of Three Lines on a Chart: obviously I was going to.
Have a great weekend

Why I’m Removing All Articles Related to Vitamins D, C, Zinc and COVID-19
source
Over the past year, I’ve been researching and  writing as much as I can to help you take control of your health, as  fearmongering media and corrupt politicians have destroyed lives and  livelihoods to establish global control of the world’s population, using the  COVID-19 pandemic as their justification.
I’ve also kept you informed about billionaire-backed  front groups like the Center for Science  in the Public Interest (CSPI), a partner of  Bill Gates’ Alliance for Science, both of whom have led campaigns aimed at  destroying my reputation and censoring the information I share.
Other attackers include HealthGuard, which ranks  health sites based on a certain set of “credibility criteria.” It has sought to  discredit my website by ensuring warnings appear whenever you search for my   articles or enter my website in an internet browser.
Well-Organized  Attack Partnerships Have Formed
HealthGuard, a niche service of NewsGuard, is funded  by the pharma-funded public relations company Publicis  Groupe. Publicis,  in turn, is a partner of the World Economic Forum, which is leading the call  for a “Great Reset” of the global economy and a complete overhaul of our way of  life.
HealthGuard is also partnered with Gates’ Microsoft company, and drug advertising  websites like WebMD and Medscape, as well as the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) — the  progressive cancel-culture leader with extensive ties to government and  global think tanks that recently labeled people questioning the COVID-19 vaccine  as a national security threat.
The CCDH has published a hit list naming me as one  of the top 12 individuals responsible for 65% of vaccine “disinformation” on social  media, and who therefore must be deplatformed and silenced for the public good.  In a March 24, 2021, letter1 to the CEO’s of Twitter and Facebook, 12 state  attorneys general called for the removal of our accounts from these platforms,  based on the CCDH’s report.
Two of those state attorneys  general also published an  April 8, 2021, op-ed2 in The Washington Post, calling on Facebook and Twitter to ban  the “anti-vaxxers” identified by the CCDH. The  lack of acceptance of novel gene therapy technology, they claim, is all because  a small group of individuals with a social media presence — myself included —  are successfully misleading the public with lies about nonexistent vaccine  risks.
“The solution is not complicated. It’s time  for Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to turn off this  toxic tap and completely remove the small handful of individuals spreading this   fraudulent misinformation,” they wrote.3
Pharma-funded politicians and pharma-captured  health agencies have also relentlessly attacked me and pressured tech monopolies to censor and deplatform me,  removing my ability to express my opinions and speak freely over the past year.
The CCDH also somehow has been allowed to  publish4 in the journal Nature Medicine, calling for the “dismantling” of the “anti-vaccine”  industry. In the article, CCDH founder Imran Ahmed repeats the lie that he “attended and recorded a private, three-day   meeting of the world’s most prominent anti-vaxxers,” when, in fact, what he’s  referring to was a public online conference open to an international audience,  all of whom had access to the recordings as part of their attendance fee.
The CCDH is also  partnered with another obscure group called Anti-Vax Watch. The picture below  is from an Anti-Vax Watch demonstration outside the halls of Congress.  Ironically, while the CCDH claims to be anti-extremism, you’d be hard-pressed  to find a clearer example of actual extremism than this bizarre duo.5
Gates-Funded  Doctor Demands Terrorist Experts to Attack Me
Most recently, Dr. Peter Hotez, president of the Sabin  Vaccine Institute,6 which  has received tens of millions of dollars from the Bill & Melinda Gates  Foundation,7,8,9 — with funds from the foundation most recently being used to create a report  called “Meeting the Challenge of Vaccine Hesitancy,”10,11 — also cited the CCDH in a Nature article in which he calls for cyberwarfare  experts to be enlisted in the war against vaccine safety advocates and people  who are “vaccine hesitant.” He writes:12
“Accurate, targeted counter-messaging from the  global health community is important but insufficient, as is public pressure on   social-media companies. The United Nations and the highest levels of government  must take direct, even confrontational, approaches with Russia, and move to  dismantle anti-vaccine groups in the United States.
Efforts must expand into the realm of cyber  security, law enforcement, public education and international relations. A  high-level inter-agency task force reporting to the UN secretary-general could   assess the full impact of anti-vaccine aggression, and propose tough, balanced  measures.
The task force should include experts who have  tackled complex global threats such as terrorism, cyber attacks and nuclear  armament, because anti-science is now approaching similar levels of peril. It  is becoming increasingly clear that advancing immunization requires a   counteroffensive.”
Why is Hotez calling for the use of warfare  tactics on American citizens that have done nothing illegal? In my case, could  it be because I’ve written about the theory that SARS-CoV-2 is an engineered   virus, created through gain-of-function research, and that its release was anticipated  by global elites, as evidenced in Event 201?
It may be. At least those are some of my  alleged “sins,” detailed on page 10 of the CCDH report, “Disinformation Dozen:  The Sequel.”13 Coincidentally enough, the Nature journal has helped cover up gain-of-function  research conducted at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, publishing a shoddy zoonotic origins study relied upon my  mainstream media and others, which was riddled with problems.14,15
So, it’s not misinformation  they are afraid of. They’re afraid of the truth getting out. They’re all trying  to cover for the Chinese military and the dangerous mad scientists conducting  gain-of-function work.
You may have noticed our  website was recently unavailable; this was due to direct cyber-attacks launched  against us. We have several layers of protective mechanisms to secure the  website as we’ve anticipated such attacks from malevolent organizations.
What This Means for  You
Through these progressively increasing  stringent measures, I have refused to succumb to these governmental and pharmaceutical  thugs and their relentless attacks. I have been confident and willing to  defend myself in the court of law, as I’ve had everything reviewed by some of   the best attorneys in the country.
Unfortunately, threats have now become very  personal and have intensified to the point I can no longer preserve much of the   information and research I’ve provided to you thus far. These threats are not  legal in nature, and I have limited ability to defend myself against them. If  you can imagine what billionaires and their front groups are capable of, I can  assure you they have been creative in deploying their assets to have this  content removed.
Sadly, I must also  remove my peer reviewed published study16 on the “Evidence Regarding Vitamin D and Risk of COVID-19 and  Its Severity.” It will, however, remain in the highly-respected journal   Nutrients’ website, where you can still access it for free.
The MATH+ hospital treatment protocol for  COVID-19 and the iMASK+ prevention and early outpatient COVID-19 protocol —  both of which are based on the use of vitamins C, D, quercetin, zinc and  melatonin — are available on the Front  Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance’s website. I suggest you bookmark these resources for future reference.
It is with a  heavy heart that I purge my website of valuable information. As noted by Dr.  Peter McCullough during a recent Texas state Senate Health and Human Services  Committee hearing, data shows early treatment could have prevented up to 85% (425,000)  of COVID-19 deaths.17 Yet early treatments were all heavily censored and suppressed.
McCullough, in  addition to being a cardiologist and professor of medicine at the Texas A&M  University Health Sciences Center, also has the distinction of having published  the most papers of any person in the history of his field, and being an editor  of two major medical journals. Despite that, his video, in which he went  through a paper he’d published detailing effective early treatments, was  summarily banned by YouTube in 2020.
“No wonder  we have had 45,000 deaths in Texas. The average person in Texas thinks there’s  no treatment!” McCullough told the senate panel.18 Indeed, people are in dire  need of more information detailing how they can protect their health, not less.  But there’s only so much I  can do to protect myself against current attack strategies.
They’ve moved past censorship. Just what do you  call people who advocate counteroffensive attacks by terrorism and cyberwarfare   experts? You’d think we could have a debate and be protected under free speech  but, no, we’re not allowed. These lunatics are dangerously unhinged.
The U.S. federal government is going along with  the global Great Reset plan (promoted as “building back better”), but this plan  won’t build anything but a technological prison. What we need is a massive   campaign to preserve civil rights, and vote out the pawns who are destroying  our freedom while concentrating wealth and power.
