I'm watching the whole Olivia! ABC TV Special with ABBA and Andy Gibb because I desperately need to think about my favourite Swedes and so here are all of my thoughts:
Love that they list the birthdate of abba rather than each individual member
I have so many questions about the children. Why are they here. Only one of them is funny but he is kind of hilarious.
god abba is so wonderful, it's delightful how happy they are to be backup for everyone else
Frida's too pretty. That shouldn't be allowed. The white outfit is so good. Her dancing is incredible. I'm not okay.
What on earth is up with this board game setup???
why have the swedes trapped Andy Gibb (I think that's him, the quality is not great) in a glass prison of money? This is so ominous
7. Olivia is about to kill a child
8. Her little newsboy-looking outfit is so cute
9. "Don't worry, I'll be on time" "suuuure, just like your alimony cheques, huh?" what the fuck you just killed him good god
10. Agnetha is not playing those bongos huh.
11. This jam session is just perfection I love them
12. Yeah Frida why don't you sing us some opera? "The one you've been rehearsing for a week now?" "That's not fair... :("
13. Frida Lyngstad either marry me or kill me I can't go on like this.
14. Olivia's "what, the dogs?" was really funny
15. It sort of seems like Olivia has turned all the kids into statues (warranted)
16. Her outfits have been great throughout.
17. Thank You For the Music is the right song to end every musical special with, but I suppose it's only appropriate when ABBA is around
18. Opera Frida at it again
19. I want all of their outfits. Maybe not the men's, but Agnetha, Frida, and Olivia certainly.
20. Yes I'm rewatching the concert bit because of the bonus features. It's because I'm in love.
21. Frida Lyngstad I am repeating my previous bid for your hand
22. The council will decide your fate.
23. I love Olivia's hair so very much. It's light and feathery and oh so lovely.
24. did I stand up to mirror Frida's little step-touches and boogieing? I'll never tell.
25. Benny Andersson you are adorable
26. Hopelessly Devoted to You is one of the songs that I learned to sing that one summer where I was working with a vocal coach (she was so sweet but she's a story for another time), but I've always wished my voice was a little more like ONJ's. I mean I so wish I could sing like any of those women.
27.
28. I don't understand straight people, how could anyone, if given the chance to kiss Frida or ONJ, restrain themself enough to do just a quick peck? It's good that I'm not her (either of them), because if I was, then the program would quickly become far less child-friendly.

ABBA: The Soundtrack of Generations
The Swedish group ABBA was founded in 1972 and immediately became one of the most popular and enduring bands in music history because of its memorable pop songs and creative music videos. The band, which consisted of Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, became a worldwide sensation and one of the best-selling musical acts of all time after selling more than 380 million records worldwide.
I'm a huge fan of vintage music. Being surrounded by music from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s as a child, I rapidly developed a love for those eras in music.
In junior high school, I became interested in ABBA for the first time. I was going through a difficult time in my life and stumbled upon an ABBA album one day while looking through my parents' DVD collection and decided to give it a listen.
I was fascinated as soon as I heard the first few tracks. The deeply moving songs and lyrics instantly made me feel better and restored the hope I had been missing. I immediately started loving the band after that.
I listened to ABBA's music for hours and was soon captivated by the band's ability to write/create music that can be upbeat, lively, or melancholic at the same time.
Catchy, lively tunes and smartly written lyrics that frequently dealt with themes of love and relationships are what make their music stand out. The disco movement that was prevalent in the 1970s and early 1980s had a significant effect on ABBA's music, and their songs frequently had memorable choruses and catchy hooks that have come to represent the era.
Despite the fact that ABBA split up in 1982, it amazes me that up until now, their music is still adored by listeners of all ages.
The band's music continues to be played on the radio and in clubs all over the world. It has appeared in countless movies and television programs.
The music industry has been forever changed by the iconic band ABBA. It has lasted the test of time thanks to its unique pop, disco, and rock vibe.
Beyond the memorable tunes and positive lyrics, ABBA's music also conveys a narrative about human experiences. Their songs are a celebration of life, and they remind us of the importance of cherishing the moments we have.
New generations of musicians and fans are still being inspired by ABBA's music, which is a testament to the band's lasting legacy. They serve as a reminder to value the things that make us happy and joyful as well as a monument to the eternal power of music.
Therefore, take a moment to listen to their music, whether you've been an ABBA fan your entire life or are just learning about them now, and you're bound to fall in love with the magic of ABBA.
It was great having you here.
