Anon how did u read my brain to find out I have been cookin this post for the last few days lol. Happy Valentine's to all of you, my lovelies.

Kazuma Kiryu

Simple but classy. As it stands, he can't really do anything big or fancy and the Daidoji sure as hell won't let him do many dinner dates if any at all but he makes the most of it. Probably gives you a bouquet of your favorite flowers and a heartfelt letter.

Majima Goro

A chocolate thief is on the loose in Sotenbori and his name is Majima Goro. If a giant heart-shaped red velvet size box appears on your doorstep, it's from him. He might even be in it. Open it and find out.

Saejima Taiga

A mix of getting you some gifts and making you something handmade. He's typically torn between two strategies: making you a handmade gift and taking you out to dinner or buying you a gift and making you dinner. Heads up, he will at some point make a handcarved wooden figurine or statue for you one of these years.

Akiyama Shun

You'd think it would be beyond human capabilities for this man to get any sappier than he is but somehow he does it every time. A class act with just the right amount of cheese. Dinner, flowers, the works. You can't tell if you're just that starry eyed over this man or if he actually just fucking sparkles.

Tanimura Masayoshi

Can't afford too much on his salary, but he'll make you an adorable custom basket of all your favorite snacks. Will totally pull some strings at Homeland to get the restaurant open to just you two.

Ryuji Goda

Can afford whatever the hell you want and has no reservations about doing so. However, he DOES have reservations at your favorite restaurant with a bottle of your favorite wine, alongside one of every single favorite item of yours on the planet. Always gets you a piece of customized jewelry.

Nishikiyama Akira

Always gets you a customized bouquet of flowers. Actually pretty into the arrangement and colors and is particular about getting yours just right. Might just even make one himself one of these days. Also gets one of those customizable chocolate boxes or a luxury bag.

Daigo Dojima

Are roses and candles cheesy? Yes. Cheesy is also Daigo's middle name when it comes to Valentine's Day. Man's straight out of a 90's romcom. Probably got the idea from a 90's romcom, actually. Will also be down to watch a 90's romcom with you. Seriously, he prefers a cozy night in anyways.

Mine Yoshitaka

Same vibe as Daigo but sluttier. Seriously. He's a champagne and bubble bath type of hoe, followed by what can only be described as mind blowing sex. Out of all the boys, he's the one who's most likely to have sex on Valentine's Day.

Tatsuo Shinada

He will try his hand at baking you some homemade goodies. Be warned, the first few attempts will be a little wonky. He's doing his best though! He can't afford much so he likes to do homemade things. Would also be down to bake or cook something with you if you're into that.

Ichiban Kasuga

He'd take you on a date that includes all of your favorite activites and your favorite places. As long as he's spending time with you, that's what counts. Will totally end the day by just blurting out something sappy and romantic but would he be Ichiban if he didn't?

Yu Nanba

Likes to do something relaxing, particularly if it takes you two away from the city. Nothing like the peace and quiet of the countryside so you two can be as close as possible. Probably would take a weekend to go to a hot spring with you.

Adachi Koichi

Will actually ask you to be his Valentine. Total cheesefest with this guy. Type of fella to hold a rose between his teeth and say something dumb like "Hey babe, come here often?". In terms of activites, he doesn't have much beyond a nice dinner planned but his personality just oozes goofy, silly love.

Tianyou Zhao

If you thought he'd be doing anything other than cooking you an overly extravagant dinner all by himself, then you'd be dead wrong. Man's out here cooking all your favorite foods, baking your favorite desserts, and making them unbelievably pretty and fancy. He's out here making roses out of the freakin' dumpling pastry, for cryin' out loud!

Joon-Gi Han (Y7)

Sweetie boy is doing his best. Gets a nice cake with a custom message on it, or takes you to an adorable cafe and eats a bunch of sweets with you. Also, yes he's dressing in matching outfits, duh!

Joon-Gi Han (Y6)

This boytoy is taking you to the biggest, fanciest club in town and ordering the biggest, fanciest bottle of champagne they have. Also one of the boys who is likely to get down and dirty on Valentine's Day.

Osamu Kashiwagi

Total class. Years have given him enough knowledge and expertise to pull off a classic Valentine's Day without a hitch. Thinks of everything, from the flowers and dinner all the way down to what color tie goes best with what color suit that would match best with your outfits. Lots of kisses on the back of your hand.

I have an idea for an Andromaquynh modern AU fanfic

In it, Quynh moves back home to her parents after getting a degree at university she isn't really sure she can or wants to use. She used to think that she's a city girl despising the suburbs she grew up in, but now she thinks she was wrong about that or maybe her preferences changed, she doesn't much like the cities she studied in anymore, first she thinks it's because she studied abroad (in the countries of her ancestors) and could never quite connect to the culture there, but visiting a friend in a city in her home country shows her it isn't just that, she just prefers a quieter environment

In the meantime, her parents have moved to a different part of town and it doesn't really feel like coming home at all. Quynh still struggles with her place in life, she doesn't want to hang around on her parents' couch doing nothing forever but she doesn't know what else to do either and the thought of a regular 9-5 job in an office terrifies her, she has done enough internships in that kind of environment to know she can't stand it for long

Quynh starts taking long walks through the countryside, for her health because she hasn't really found any sports/active hobbies in the area yet (that's an aspect she really liked about the cities, there's always something interesting going on, she used to dance and try out things like shooting with bow&arrow and axe throwing), and to have quiet time to think away from her family. That way she gets to know the area quite well - she actually already knows it a bit because she really didn't live far away as a kid, but she never really walked through the fields on this side of the suburbs before

On her walks she sometimes comes across equestrians, and one time a horse throws off its rider and she ends up catching the animal, which doesn't seem to mind people in general just people trying to climb and sit on it - it won't stay the last time she comes across that particular animal, and she thinks she understands the horse quite well what with not wanting to do jobs they don't like just to be allowed to live comfortably.

Andy's the owner of the horse riding school, and when a girl falls off her horse (probably the one that doesn't much like its riders, Quynh calls it Big Guy lovingly not knowing what it's actually called) and needs medical attention, Quynh ends up taking the horse back to the stables and meets Andy there.

There's a bit of an age-gap between them and even once they meet and fall in love Andy is reluctant to commit to Quynh out of fear of tying Quynh to a life she might not really want, meanwhile Quynh is finally figuring out her place in life and she wants to stay with Andy.

I'll probably never write the full fanfic, I just don't have the time and motivation for it. If anyone's interested in getting the draft and adopting it, I'd love to hand it over for you to write it!

The draft I have is pretty much in bullet points atm, but I'd even go over it and clean it up a bit if someone's really interested in adopting the fic, and I'd be open to either chatting about it and giving more input, or you taking it and doing your own thing with it!

I don't have the time to write a longfic atm and I feel like what with the plot I'm thinking of, it really needs to be 10 or even 20k minimum to start doing it justice... That being said if sb wants to try writing a shorter version or is inspired by it to write anything similar, absolutely feel free! Just pls lmk once it's done so I can read it :D

I also already wrote a college AU horse girl!Andy longfic before, and while that one was happier and this one would probably have quite some angsty vibes before reaching its happy ending, it still kind of feels like I've done this before, also reducing my motivation for it even more :( which is a pity really because I do really like the idea.

A dirt road stretches out before the camera, with lovely views of the Kalosian countryside. Jaycé and Augustine are walking down the road, both in a somber silence. Their two aces walk beside them, with Clover occasionally trying to get Nourrice to chase after her. It's eerily quiet. The only sound is of this small party as they walk. There's no wind, no chittering of passing flying types, and no sounds or hints of wild Pokemon.

"It feels weird." Jaycé breaks through the silence as they look around, "And uh, not because of what happened. It's just. We've been down this route so many times. I never thought we'd do it again." As they speak, they kick at a few rocks and watch as Clover chases after them. They smile at that, then look to Augustine. He looks deep in thought, as if his mind is swarming with too many things all at once. When Jaycé finishes speaking, he snaps out of his thoughts and turns his head to look at them.

"Ah, terribly sorry Jaycé. What was that again?" He gives them a patient smile. Jaycé's smile falters for a sec before looking forward.

"It's weird walking down this route again with you. It's just. Weird doing anything again with you. But like, a good weird." They look around a bit and kind of pause for a bit as the scenery has started to change. A more heavy vibe sits on the outskirts of the route as it slowly shifts into the radius of what used to be Geosenge. There's a slight char still to everything, as if trapped in bubble of time right after the incident. It might have been ten years, but it feels awfully recent. The grass is dead, with only a few patches of green trying to emerge through the ruins. Any trees once there are either leafless and dead, or completely charred away. That eerie quiet is back, this time muffling the sounds of their walking.

Jaycé doesn't notice if Augustine said anything in response. He didn't, but both don't think they would've wanted to talk right now. Jaycé shoves their hands in their pockets and lightly kicks a rock. Clover doesn't chase after it, instead she just looks up at her trainer. It seems as both people and pokemon can feel the uneasiness of this area. Up ahead, something other than the gloomy destruction can be seen. Jaycé looks at it in a bit of shock and confusion while Augustine just lightly furrows his brow. As they get closer, it becomes obvious what it is. A monument, to the lives lost that day. There's some fencing next to it, with one spot already bent to allow people access to someplace they shouldn't be. Large signs warn visitors that any entrance behind the fencing is dangerous, against the law, and any other warnings. Jaycé is trying, yet failing, to keep a neutral expression. It's slipping as thoughts race through their mind. Augustine, doesn't look any better. He's not trying to hide his discomfort, he's wallowing in it.

any tips on building cottagecore esque stuff?

Hi!!! This is long apologies in advance.

So there are a lot of different takes on cottagecore.

Beyond interpretations of romanticized rural and farm lifestyles, Cottagecore aesthetics tap into many rustic and rural concepts. Cottagecore explores and draws inspiration from the existence of witches, gnomes, or fairies. As such, the concept of Cottagecore is centered around ideas of a simple life in harmony with nature. Personally for me, in Minecraft I feel like it's a mix of structures that feel old, cozy, and lived-in, with some plants and greenery strewn about, in addition to an emphasis on small details such as a well-tended garden, personal decorations, or anything else that just says "comfy" and "home." A lot of the builds you'll make for this can be functionally aesthetic, like a tiny well, or can be just purely for decorations like popping custom mushrooms around your base~!

You can probably re-create cottagecore builds in any typical minecraft style, but personally I tend to do a mix of whimsical, fantasy, and medieval style builds with cottagecore, and sometimes a touch of fairycore, overtones.

So I'll give you the same kinds of tips I give others on building.

Use a reference if/when necessary. I personally use concept art, video games, real life architecture, and my own drawings for references when possible. Use pinterest, tumblr, YouTubers, etc., as inspiration for you!!! Just make sure if you're posting or you're going to make a video on it, you credit who you were inspired by~!

Change to a texture pack for your single player world that fits the tone of what you're trying to achieve. I personally use Mizuno's 16 Craft and additional add-ons in my hardcore survival world as it has the tones and textures on the blocks that make me feel like I'm living in a cottagecore world. Perhaps this texture pack - or others - will work better than traditional vanilla for you, but it is entirely possible to have cozy, heartwarming builds in vanilla too~!

Add leaves. Add trees. Add gardens. Add window treatments-flower boxes, pots, lanterns. Build aesthetic fields, well-worn foot paths, greenhouses, apiaries... Instead of putting your cows in 20+ spruce fences, take the time to make them an actual enclosure- you can do it with stones or wood~! Decorate it with grass, and hay bales. Plant some wheat inside of it~

I tend to use a lot of wood, stone, and neutral toned blocks for my builds. Usually I will take liberties with color on the roof, though it's entirely possible to do colorful houses in the cottagecore style (especially with the warmth of the terracotta block!)

Have fun and BUILD what YOU LIKE~! Doesn't matter if it's not functional. Doesn't matter if it's not accurate. Doesn't matter if no one else likes it. I would have never gotten better at exploring this style if I didn't try, so try and have FUN with it!!

The build above is something that was inspired by the photo on the right, I was really trying to recreate this blacksmith + house in my world. As you can see, I kept similar elements like the main structure having a tower, and the forge/furnaces being on the small side building. However, I also tried to keep it to scale of the other builds in the small village I am (was?) working on at the time- so it's much narrower.

In the front, I chose to add a market stall canopy leading into an open-market for my blacksmith to sell their wares, and the entire build is covered in overgrown leaves. Though these things in and of themselves don't make it ~cottagecore~ alone to everyone, it's a very cozy, comfortable vibe (to me) which I relate to cottagecore.

Some people may feel more connected to things typically reflecting homes you may find in a quaint village or rustic English countryside. Some are impractical, like a hollow old tree stump or a giant overgrown mushroom. These four images are just various things I've built in my time as a content creator and Minecraft enjoyer that I felt super connected to~!

The above two thumbnails are from my hardcore series over on YouTube, (ep. 3 out tomorrow!) where I'm building my entire base as a series of small builds to make up a larger area, rather than a mega base! I am effectively trying to combine everything I've learned about building in my last few years to create builds that combine these styles and emphasize coziness and aesthetics!

Background: Does your PC get up to anything that you don't narrate often? Any background habits, activities, plots? Do you share these through other avenues (e.g. a group chat, table cross-talk, posting online)?

adina: he does So much, most of it stays in my head because its very basic stuff like taking care of goldbiter, mending his clothes, training during downtime to keep up his reflexes. also there's some patron stuff that happens behind the scenes, less so now that he put most of his cards on the table last session. ive written about the aftermath of his last soul collection, im sure he'll talk about it/it'll come back to bite him in the ass at some point.

lawrie: similar stuff as adina where i think about his working on his armor and his sword, taking care of pepper. now thats hes spent a decent amount of time in wildspace he has nightmares most nights, and weird dreams on the nights he doesnt. ive been meaning to write smth about it, but ive still only got vague vibes for what's going on with his patron/ancestry so it'll probably be a bit.

leslie: i feel like i tell you . every single important thought i have about leslie atp hmm. i feel like he would press flowers. and translate latin and arabic poetry for fun. also im definitely going to bring it up in game if i can bc i think its fun, but he has a specific love for typewriters

Secret: Is there anything that you know about your character but your character doesn't know? What is it? How did you come up with this secret?

adina: yes <3 i cant share yet, because vee came up with it and gets to drop it in game when they want lol

lawrie: Also yes and Also i cant share yet in case any of my fellow spelljammers look but. i cant send u his lore on discord sometime if u want. secret lore. illegal lore. with secret fics included. i came up with it because i wanted something to foil his dad sid's arc, and i love being tragic, gay, dramatic, etc

leslie: hmmm. he is in so much danger. also the actual ghost of his brother is still haunting him. idr where i got the idea but i give it to you for asking if any of his family was on the titanic, because that def perfected the idea

End: What's the ideal ending for your character's story and the game? Are these the same, or different?

adina: okay. so he wants to save his family from their debt. and be very rich. i want him to detach himself from finding worth in his family's business and needing their approval of him in general, and learn to love himself as a person and not a weapon. also still be very rich tbh. he deserves it. he deserves everything he wants and to never feel bad about it <3 also i think he does want to marry the mlms. he's not ready to admit it mentally yet but I Know

Full name: Theo Frey

Identification: Trans male, bisexual

Age, birthday and pronouns: 24 years old, August 27, (virgo) he/him

more under the cut!

Appearance: Theo has long, light brown hair, light green eyes and light skin. There's a little mole next to his right eye. He keeps his hair in a ponytail or braid most of the time. He wears big round glasses because he can't see things clearly from up close. Theo's 5'4" in height. (~162 cm) His body type is rather slender, he's got a small build. Anatomy wise, he's afab, and hasn't had any surgery done because he doesn't feel the need for it. Flat chest.

Personality and info: Theo is shy, solitary and nervous. He's generally kind but doesn't like conflict. He doesn't talk a lot, he's the type to make himself scarce, he prefers to be by himself instead of groups of people. He easily gets panicked or stressed which may result in crying. And he gets flustered extremely easily. Theo is intelligent, and will help you if you need help with something, even if he's shy about it. He much prefers one on one conversations as they don't overwhelm him, large groups of people remind him of his past and it makes him uncomfortable.

Theo spends most of his time reading and writing. He mostly writes poetry or short stories. He works at a large library, so more often than not you can find him there.

A bit of his past: Theo is from a big, wealthy family, on the countryside. He has a sister named Kay and an older brother named Amaro. He used to live in a big manor until he was around 19. At the time, he hadn't come out yet. It was tradition for his family to marry into other wealthy families, and it's what was planned for him as well. He didn't want anything to do with this arranged marriage. His family pressured him to the point of breaking in many ways, so much so that he feels nervous about the smallest things. It's a big part of the reason he's such a troubled and easily stressed person. He feels like he was never good enough for his family, they always asked more than he could give. He spent a lot of his time with the horses in the barn because he needed peace. So when he was 18, he told them the truth about himself, about who he really was, and expressed his desire to leave and lead his own life. His family didn't take it well. But at least they let him go. Kay and Amaro still visit him on occasion.

Magic and skills: Theo's magic revolves mostly around plant life. Creating it, healing it, altering it, making it obey his will. There's a lot of plants and flowers in his home, they all thrive thanks to his magic. If you need help with a garden then he's the guy to ask. Aside from that, he's not particularly skilled in magic. He doesn't really have a lot of skills. He's decent at cooking, he has neat handwriting and can write pretty well, but his major strength is his intelligence. He's gained a lot of knowledge from the books he's been reading all his life. He's definitely kind of a nerd, though.

Familiar:

A female chameleon named Toru. Toru is friendly, tries to get him to open up more. Can be bribed for some crickets.

Favourite flower/ favourite food: His favourite flower is Sundew, and his favourite food is Pinto Posole.

Random facts:

-He absolutely writes poetry about the people he likes/loves

-Mostly a bottom. Def not built for topping, but he can try.

-Loves cherry pie a lot.

-Often takes naps in his garden, with a book over his face.

-Sunburns very easily.

-He generally smells like flowers and dirt.

-Is too polite even when trying to stick up for others/himself-- which is quite the disadvantage.

-Sometimes falls asleep in the library.

-Absolutely can't draw. He's horrible at Pictionary.

-He practically never swears. He's not vulgar at all.

-Has absolutely no fighting skill. Would rather run than fight back. The most he can do is trip up people with vines or block their way with plants.

Give us your All Creatures Great and Small thoughts!

Oh, delightul, though I don't have a huge amount of them! It's just a really nice show to watch, particularly in the winter, when it's a relief to see some green countryside and watch people really want the best for each other. The occasional animal distress and/or surgery isn't what I would call my favorite thing, I do generally look away for those parts, but other than that, the vibes are delightful.

And the characters! What a good found family in Skeldale House! I love James, doing his best and caring so much for everyone. I love Mrs. Hall, who is my hero. I love Siegfried, ridiculous and grouchy as he is, and I love Tristan, with all his joie de vivre and his serious side he only rarely lets show. I love Helen and Jenny and how tied to the land they are and how seriously they take that!

I think that Siegfried and Mrs. Hall should kiss and do not think that is going to happen for me, which is BEYOND tragic, but the Christmas special did give me a tiny bit of hope at least???

And if I liked Helen and James together less I'd probably ship James and Tristan just for fun, so I guess I could consider a poly situation there 90% for considering James getting horribly flustered by the whole of it.

Also, every time anyone mentions anything about cricket on this or any piece of British media, my brain just starts hearing Charlie Brown Adult Noises. No sports make sense to me, but cricket ESPECIALLY doesn't make sense to me. Are we sure it's not some kind of surrealist performance art that's been going on for long enough that people have decided it's a sport?

heaven's cloud : Paradise

- in the afterlife where we get to choose our own paradise, two souls unexpectedly meet.

genre: soulmates!au, but also involves idolverse, kinda fantasy whimsical, afterlife-paradise world; fem!reader x lee chan warnings: mentions of death, magical creatures, not really sure what else i guess word count: 2.4k + i generally am not good at making these infos, bear with me sorry! also not really fond of the fic picture, but i also suck and still is learning,,,,

Lee Chan, for your exemplary journey in life, you are hereby bestowed a place in Paradise.

"I'll take the clouds if I may,"

Then to the clouds you shall ascend, Heaven's Cloud.

Eleven months of (not) living in paradise, Chan had adapted well into his afterlife. The Guides had placed him in his own haven of his choosing, the Clouds. Fluffy white and softer than cashmere, the touch is cooling and healing, peace and quiet were also a given. To Chan, it's his very definition of heaven.

Despite being the only soul - apparently, no one has chosen the Clouds for centuries - Chan has been never alone. He had the little fairies and spirits to keep him company while wandering around the forests. Stars often appear in his nights to cast a light show for the boy. Cancer loves to see Chan's awe-stricken face as the constellation shows him a few tricks.

The Clouds inhabitants and surrounding astronomical beings grew fond of the boy. Hence, Lee Chan never felt alone.

Though it was a blissful experience and a beautiful memory, there was only one month left. One month until the end of his livelihood above the world.

You will be given twelve months of afterlife until your next life begins.

Chan still doesn't understand why they must be sent back to Earth, living another full life that may or may not be 'great'. Though the thought of living on Earth, whatever their life might be, is already a disappointing thought. After having to exist in a paradise of your own, nothing else would come close.

But apparently, the universe believes differently.

The fairies and spirits told him once, 'Universe sought in a cycle, to them it's the perfect way as it does not end, leading to the continuation of life and its purposes.'

"But what exactly do those purposes serve if there is no end to it?"

'There is none silly, if there was to be an end to it, then life itself would cease to exist. It serves to preserve life as we know it, and well - the Universe.'

Chan pondered the thought for a while, "What if, just really hypothetically, someone happens to break the cycle, what happens then?"

The fairies' expression saddened, 'Hopefully it never happens.' Some of them flew to sit on Chan's shoulder, a calming place for them. 'But if it were to happen somehow, life wouldn't perish instantly, but the Universe and everything in it will meet its end, including the afterlife.'

The boy nodded before noticing the frowns on the beautiful faces of the winged creatures, the atmosphere had taken a drop turn. Choosing to lighten the somber mood, Chan raised another question. "Well then, um, what about aliens? Do they exist?”

Throughout the time he was there, Chan spent it listening to the stories of the creatures, exploring the cloud haven that seemingly doesn't end, and conversing every now and then with the astronomical beings -- when they so happened to be passing by.

It didn't get boring for the boy as the stories that the fairies had been plenty and new, never losing the interest of Chan, and the beings were more than happy to talk with him about almost anything.

Of course, all this was okay and fine, revealing the Universe's secrets and whatnot, Chan wouldn't remember this anyway when he enters his next life.

On the first day of his twelfth month, Chan woke up from his sleeping quarters in the usual well-rested sleep. Walking out to do his routine of visiting the forest and later on relaxing by the Serenity Sky Lake. But before he could reach the outlines of White Forest, he saw a figure walking through the field, he couldn't see clearly who it was, but what he registered in his mind was enough to make him gasp.

It was another soul. A human.

As quickly as his feet could take him, Chan sped through the flurry landscape of clouds, wanting to figure out this stranger.

"Hey you! Hey!"

The figure turned to the general direction of where Chan was coming from, revealing its appearance. Upon view, Chan stumbled over nothing, causing him to fall forward into a roll and tumbling on the ground until he laid flat on his back. Luckily, there were clouds under him.

"Oh my God! Are you okay?" He heard the figure shout before rustling and someone appeared by his side. Chan scrunched his eyes trying to block the light coming from above while identifying the person looming over him. The first thing he noticed was long brown hair, the strands were flowing almost magically. As if hypnotized by it, Chan could only stare. Until finally, he saw the stranger's face.

She’s ethereal.

You were quite confused as to why you were where you were. All you could see for miles were… white? Your body was standing on nothing, or at least that was how it looked. A sudden voice interrupted your wonders.

Welcome _____, you are in Paradise.

You turned back to find the source of the voice but all you found was a blinding light that caused you to squint your eyes.

“Wh-what? Where?”

Paradise dear, the afterlife.

Your mind went blank, the afterlife? No way. Your brain tried remembering the last thing before waking up in this weird place.

There’s no use child, your memories are long gone. But I can tell you this, you went in peace. You weren’t in pain.

Were the voices capable of reading minds? And who were they? You were a bit frightened.

To answer your question, yes we can read minds. We are the Guides, here to assist the souls in the afterlife. There’s no need to be afraid.

“Uh, okay, ...thank you?” You voiced out, still a little overwhelmed with whatever was going on.

Well then, perhaps we should take you to your choice. Please, follow the green path.

Just as the voices finished speaking, a sudden green line appeared in front of you. You couldn’t see what was ahead, just the green line until the end. You decided to follow through, whatever this was.

As you walked on the path, you were gradually transported to a different place. When you were finally able to understand your surroundings, there were screens that had different landscapes and writings in different colors under them. The scenes displayed were (what you could only describe as) heavenly. Each of them has its own set of vibe and warmth to it. Unconsciously your hand moved itself to touch one of the screens, but then the voices returned prompting you to pull it back.

What you see in front of you are the places in Paradise, according to how one lives their life on Earth, you have a series of options that you may choose from. I shall provide you a look-through.

The screens suddenly disappeared and now you were standing in what looked like those busy city streets, only not so busy.

First is the Silver City. Its appearance resembles the metropolitan areas down on Earth but without all the pollution, noises, and busy traffic. Many people who had used to live in these areas usually choose them, sensing a familiarity to it, they say.

As the Guides explained its landscapes, you were admiring the tall buildings and skyscrapers around you. The architectural designs were marvelous and even if you didn’t remember if you had studied such things, you can’t help but stare in admiration.

Aside from the buildings, the streets looked beautiful as well. The sidewalks were arranged perfectly as if it was placed with the most proper city planning. But one building stuck out to you most, it was majestic. A silver mansion, with tall gates and filled with all kinds of trees and plants. Before you could step towards it, the Guides were already finished explaining the Silver City and had transported you instead to another location.

Second, the Golden Countryside. As the name states, this place is best likely your ultimate countryside farm paradise. A quaint farmhouse with animal livestock to nurture and many forests to explore and spend time in. Families often choose this place for their resting, it’s quite homey.

True to their words, you couldn’t believe what you were seeing. It was a vast field of grass with a simple two-story house that looked like it could fit six bedrooms. Beside it was a giant farmhouse and animals roaming around it. The view itself was doubled in beauty as the sun (or whatever source of light that existed here) sets from behind, casting a soft orange glow over it. Somehow the silver mansion from earlier was placed way aside in your head. Yet again, before you could ask any questions, you were immediately transported once more.

The third is Cosmic Space. Ever wondered how it is to live in Space child?

You heard the voice give out a sound that was similar to a laugh, but somehow not quite.

More people than you’d expect actually dream of this. It may not be as simple as the City or the Countryside, but it’s nonetheless paradise. To them.

Now you were most definitely floating, though despite floating in the middle of random space, you could breathe easily and see easily as well. You thought that space may be too wild for you but as you were looking around, you saw one of the most magical things you have ever seen.

“A comet shower…”

The Guides seemed to have heard you as they projected the shower closer, now holographic space comets were right above you, shining as they continued the rain of them. Mesmerized was all you could feel, the meteors were almost hypnotizing you.

“Whoa…”

Beautiful isn’t it?

Was the last thing you heard before you felt the sudden pull of transport again, at this point you were no longer fazed with the continuous changing of locations, though you did wish to have been able to watch the shower longer.

Number four, the Pearl Waters. For those who favor the deep sea and vast oceans. Of course, many souls who felt close to the waves chose this. The afterlife here is often intriguing, staying with the many creatures and traveling wherever paradise takes you.

You found yourself standing on a deck of a ship, it was modernized though some parts resemble that of an older version. Heading to the flanks you watched the blue ocean as the waves sloshed around the sides. As if welcoming you, dolphins suddenly jumped above the sea, whalebacks spurting water, and schools of fish could be seen from the clear water. You were most surely amazed. As the sea creatures displayed a water show, you felt something touching your arm on the railing. You looked to find a woman with green-blue hair, her cheeks had features similar to scales, and as you peered further you realized it wasn’t a woman at all.

“A...mermaid?”

Ah yes, indeed. Each paradise also has guardians that help care and maintain the afterlife. Mermaids are the Pearl Waters guardians. As for the Silver City, we have the Elves. Golden Countryside has the Shapeshifters while Cosmic Space has Angels.

“Wait what?” You were pretty much confused all together, mythical creatures? Well, then again, it is the afterlife, who knows what actually exists here. But still, you found yourself in confusion and quite the shock.

Not to worry dear, you’ll have plenty of time to get acquainted. Now for our last destination.

The mermaid who was staring at your side gave you a small smile before disappearing back into the ocean. You continued to stare at her general direction before your view changed into that of...clouds?

Last but not the least, Heaven’s Cloud. It’s truly magical here. Not many people find it appealing though, but of course it always depends on who’s choosing. Essentially, it's the skies. The guardians here are the fairies and spirits. Quite the peculiar and very friendly creatures.

As your eyes set on the landscape, you couldn’t help but let out a gasp. It was breathtaking. It was as if you were standing right in front of the Sun but at the same time, you weren’t. You knew for one you’ve never been in a place like this yet all you could feel from the surroundings was home. You leaned down to touch the fluffy ground and it was the softest thing you’ve ever felt. As quickly as the previous location visits, the surroundings changed again back to their original place with screens.

Now _____, because of the well-lived life that you have gone through. You, _____, are given the choice of one of the five Paradises that you have just seen. Speak now for your choice.

You didn’t know if it was your own voice and mind that spoke, or your conscience, because the sound that erupted from your body sounded firm and almost unbreakable. You didn’t even realize that you had spoken your choice after it was said.

“Heaven’s Cloud if I may,”

The Guides paused for a moment as if they were thinking about something, before continuing.

Very well then, your heart has spoken. To Heaven’s Cloud, you shall go.

One last time, you were again transported to a field with white clouds, similar to the earlier landscape you visited. This time without the voices. Somehow you suddenly felt alone, scared, and unsure of what to do. Wandering aimlessly, you tried looking for the guardians - the fairies and spirits. Then you suddenly heard someone shout.

“Hey you! Hey!”

You turned back to see a man, brown fluffy hair swaying atop his head, running towards you. Well, was running, until he stumbled down and started rolling across the field.

“Oh my god! Are you okay?” you shouted before heading towards the boy. As you reached his side, you saw he was unhurt and fine, just squinting his eyes. You sighed in relief, although it should make sense, after all, it was clouds underneath them. Before you could say anything to the stranger, you caught him staring right at you, and somehow you stared back as well.

The boy looked mesmerizing.

Miles Fairchild × Reader

Story Summary: You are an 18 year old nanny and you take on a job for two orphans-Miles and Flora-in a gothic mansion in the Maine countryside. Unexpected events occur, pulling you and Miles towards each other and hearts connect.

Chapter Four: The Horseback Ride

Chapter Summary: You and Miles tell Flora and Mrs. Grose that you are together. Later, you three go horseback riding and something happens.

Warnings: angst and lots of fluff

The next morning…

You woke up and Miles wasn't in bed. You try not to worry but it's hard for you not to because of the spirit that is lingering in the house. You put on one of his sweaters overtop of your nightdress because it is pretty cold this morning. You walk out of the door and spot Miles sitting on the sofa in the living room. He sees you and immediately smiles.

Miles "good morning angel!"

"Mmm good morning." You rub the sleep out of your eyes to try and wake yourself up some more. You walk over and sit down next to him and cling into his side.

Miles "Are you still tired? We can go back to sleep for a bit if you want."

"Can we? Flora isn't up yet.."

Miles "yeah, come on let's go back to bed."

"I'm not used to you not being there when I wake up."

Miles "I know, I'm sorry. I just needed to stretch my legs and get some food. I was going to come back to bed but you woke up." You nod and climb into bed. Miles pulls you on top of him and you nuzzle your face into his chest. He squeezes his arms around your torso and kisses your forehead.

Miles "you look better in that sweater than I do babe!"

"Thank you. I love wearing your clothes, they smell like you."

Miles "oh my god you are so adorable."

"Are we going to tell Flora that we are together today?"

Miles "yeah, I don't see why not. She loves you so much and she knows that I love you already so it won't be a shock." He says rubbing circles on your lower back with his thumbs.

"Yeah I agree. I don't think Mrs. Grose will be happy though."

Miles "I really don't care what she thinks. I just care about you and Flora."

"Mmkay I love you." You loosen your grip on his chest and he knows that you are going to fall asleep soon.

Miles "I love you too angel, go back to sleep."

When you wake back up an hour later. You are now on your side and Miles is holding you from behind. You smile to yourself because he is being so adorable right now. You are so happy to be his and he is happy to be yours.

….

Miles "You comin to eat lunch?"

"Yeah I'll be out in a second, I'm going to call my friend Rose real quick." He nods and shuts the door behind him.

Rose "Hello?"

"Hey Rose! It's Y/n."

Rose "oh my God Y/n! I miss you so much, how is everything?"

"It's going great! I'm so sorry I haven't called you in awhile but things have been kinda crazy over here!"

Rose "It's okay, I'm just so glad to hear your voice! So tell me everything!!"

You tell her all about Flora and Miles. She is so happy for you that you have a boyfriend even though she hasn't even met him. You tell her about Mrs. Grose and how you feel like she doesn't like you very much. She told you that she thinks that she is just jealous of your relationship with Flora and Miles. You haven't even thought about that possibility before, which eased your mind a bit. It was so nice to hear from her but you are starving at this point. It is now 12:30 and you are ready for lunch.

….

Flora "Y/n!! Come sit next to me!!"

"Duhhh!" You grab the lunch that Mrs. Grose had made for you and sit down next to Flora.

Mrs. Grose "You look happy today Y/n."

"Yeah, I just have a lot to be happy about. I just got off the phone with my best friend from home and it felt good to hear from her….it's been a bit."

Flora "Did you tell her about me?"

"Of course I did, lovebug! I told her how we are super close...and how you are like my baby sister and how I loooovvvveeee you so much." You lean into her and make her giggle.

Mrs. Grose "Don't make her laugh while she is eating, she could choke."

"...sorry ma'am." You don't speak the rest of the meal, you just sat there and listened to Mrs. Grose dictate to you all of your duties for the day. She has you running absolutely ragged.

Miles "is there anything else that she needs to do?"

Mrs. Grose "I beg your pardon?"

Miles "is there anything else that she needs to do for you? I mean you have her doing basically everything a human being could possibly do in one day! How do you think that that's okay?"

Mrs. Grose "She works for me Miles, I-"

Miles "Actually, she works for Flora….she is Flora's nanny!"

"Miles...it's okay."

Miles "no it's not! You are my girlfriend and I don't like the way she talks to you."

Flora "YOU'RE DATING!??"

"Yeah" Flora gets up and starts jumping up and down.

Flora "I'M SO HAPPY!!!"

Mrs. Grose "What big news."

Miles "Please….just treat her with some respect. She doesn't deserve to be treated hatefully. I mean, she is so sweet and kind and does everything for Flora! Please just stop."

Mrs. Grose "Well…. I guess a Welcome to the Family is in order since you two are officially a couple Y/n, so welcome to the family."

Flora "ARE WE SISTERS NOW!?"

You giggle at her response, "You could say that, yes. But Flora...do you know what day it is?"

Flora "noo?"

"It's Saturday!"

Flora "No school?!"

"No school!! Just fun and games, how does that sound?"

Mrs. Grose "You still have chores to do Y/n...but you don't have to do all of them."

"Okay ma'am."

You played baby dolls with Flora for a half hour before you had to clean up her bedroom.

"I gotta take a break from playing, lovebug...I'll be back soon okay?"

Flora "okay." She said with a pouting face. She hates when you leave her side but you don't really have a choice.

You start by making her bed and cleaning up her stuffed animals. They were all over the floor so you gathered them up nicely and placed them on the made bed. Next, you gather up her pajamas that she had laying on the floor and start folding them when you feel a pair of arms wrap around your waist.

Miles "Hey"

"Hey, did you get bored playing with Flora?"

Miles "nope, just came in to check on ya. Do you want some help?"

"Nah I got it. Thank you though. Do you have any ideas on what we can do with Flora today? I'm kind of running out of ideas."

Miles "hmmm...I know that she loves riding her horse so we could start off with that."

"Okay! We haven't done that in a few days, let's do it!"

Miles "Okay, beautiful. I'll let you finish so we can have some fun." You agree and he walks out the door. You start to remember the first day you went riding with Flora and Miles: it was the first time you started catching feelings for Miles. It's crazy how unexpected events made you two come together but you are almost glad that they did.

….

Miles "hey Flora! Wanna go riding?"

"I'm finished now guys, we can go now if you want."

Flora "Yes!! Can I ride on the back of your horse today Y/n?"

"Absolutely! But you are gonna have to ask your brother first."

Flora "Can I? Please please please!"

Miles "yes of course! She didn't even need to ask but thank you though."

"You are her brother, I didn't wanna give her permission for something that you don't want." Miles walks over to you, closing the gap between you and him.

Miles "Babe, I'm not Mrs. Grose, you don't need to ask my permission for anything. I trust you with Flora...I know that she means a lot to you."

Flora "I'm right here!"

You laugh and look down at her, "how about you go get your boots on, Miles and I will be down in a minute." She agrees and in a flash she was gone.

"I don't think you kissed me yet today…" he giggles and grabs your left cheek and kisses your lips. He is so gentle, it feels like heaven. He pulls away to catch his breath and leans his forehead to yours.

Miles "God I could kiss you forever."

"Is that a promise?"

Miles "It is definitely a promise." He kisses you one more time before you two walk downstairs to meet Flora by the door. You all keep your riding boots by the door because you all go riding so often.

Flora "What took you guys so long?!"

Miles "We were doing couple type things…"

Flora "Like what?"

"Kissinggg.."

Flora "Eeeewww!!"

Miles laughs and pulls you into his side, "Get your butt out the door, young lady. Your horse is waiting for ya."

….

Miles gives Flora a lift on getting her on the back of the horse. You wait for Miles to get on his black stag and then you start riding.

"You comfy back there?"

Flora "yeah!!"

Miles "wanna ride around the acres?"

Flora "Yeah!! Let's go by the pond first."

The ride to the pond was so calm and relaxing. The weather is perfect today: no cloud in sight, the breeze is warm but cooling, and the birds are chirping all around you. Miles leads the way and you feel Flora's head lean against your back.

Flora "there's our fish Y/n!!"

"Oh yeah, look at her! She looks like she has gotten bigger since we were last here!"

Miles "mine is right next to yours Flora, see?" She nods and we gaze at the coy fish for a moment longer before we head in the other direction. Once we reached the east side of the house, the vibe felt different: there were no birds in sight, the horses started hesitating and the breeze was much colder.

Miles "Y/n..you okay back there?"

"Uh yeah. My horse is just a little spooked for some reason."

Miles "maybe you should get o-" he couldn't finish his sentence before you and Flora were flung off your horse. Flora lands on her hip and you land on your back. Miles immediately dismounts his horse and runs over to you and Flora.

"Check on her first!" You were in a lot of pain but you can worry about yourself later. Flora is much younger and smaller than you are, she could be in worse conditions.

Miles "FLORA!! ARE YOU OKAY? TALK TO ME!"

Flora groans, "Yeah...I'm okay, I just landed on my hip."

Miles "can you walk?" She shakes her head and he gives her a hand up off of the ground.

Flora "I-I'm okay...what happened?"

Miles "I don't know! That horse just got scared for some reason." Flora spots you still laying on the ground, wincing in pain.

Flora "Y/N!!"

Miles "Baby...baby talk to me, where does it hurt?"

"Everywhere."

Miles "can you feel your legs?"

"Yes! It's just my back!"

Miles "okay, Flora...go inside and get some ice ready for Y/n for when I bring her inside." She doesn't even nod, she just runs off.

"I knew this area felt off."

Miles "I couldn't tell you to get off fast enough."

"It's my fault. I was feeling uneasy, that gave him the gateway.."

Miles "none of this is your fault, let's go put ice on your back, babe." He tries to give you a hand up but your back makes you scream out in pain, you can't walk right now. Miles picks you up bridal style and carries you to the kitchen where Flora has the ice waiting. Mrs. Grose hears all the commotion and comes into the room.

Mrs. Grose "oh my God what happened!"

Miles "her horse flung her off...she landed on her back!"

Mrs. Grose "I'm going to get some pain medication for you, okay?" You can't speak right now so you just agree by shaking your head yes.

5 hours later….

You are able to walk a little but not on your own. The fact that you didn't break anything was a miracle!

Miles "since the meds have kicked in, let's get you to bed." Once you get situated, Miles sits next to you and you can see the worry in his eyes.

"I'm okay Miles."

Miles "no you aren't. You just got flung off of your horse a few hours ago!"

"I know but I'll be okay, I just need to take it easy for a few days. I'm going to need you a little extra…"

Miles "anything you need, I am here for you babe."

"I love you."

Miles "I love you. I'm sorry."

"Can you please stop apologizing! You didn't hurt me, so you don't need to say that you're sorry."

Miles "I just...feel bad, I love you and I hate seeing you in pain."

"Maybe if you give me a kiss, all the pain will go away…" He smiles and leans down to kiss you passionately. He deepens the kiss and you moan in his lips. He stops himself and pulls away.

Miles "we...we can't. Your back."

You sigh, "I know, just wish we could."

Miles "I don't want to hurt you, babe."

You "Hopefully my back heals quickly then."

Miles "it will, beautiful! I'm going to put Flora to bed. I'll be back in a minute." He gave your forehead a kiss and then walked out of his room. You really want him right now but you understand why he doesn't want to. You curse at the ceiling, "Why did this have to fucking happen? Why couldn't I just ask Miles to go back to the west wing? If I did, I wouldn't be in pain right now." Your head starts to pound, you try your best to roll over to your side. It was painful but you are now on your side, facing away from the doorway. Your eyelids get heavy and you drift off to sleep. Miles joins you soon after.

More heroine designs (Part 1 of 3)

Sorry but thanks for the waiting! College and work had been draining my energy levels so damn hard 😅

Anyway, let’s get on with the first drama I’ve picked for heroine making: Grim Gai no Ouji-sama!

After looking at this fairy tale-like series by Rejet, candy, sweets, and a few other fall desserts is what had came to mind cause hey--autumn/halloween can't be complete without those~<3

So, without further ado, let's take a look at some sweets! 😋🍫🍭🍬

Red Hood (Vol 1): Candy apple

Ah apples, they are definetly the nicest (and the healthiest) fruits that go great for after school snacks while using a candy coated layer for it is perfect for any Halloween parties! 🍎🍏

I couldn't find anything that displays the word "apple", so an alternative ive made is the red laced, strawberry basket that you can see being held in one of her hands, resembling the similar look compared to a basket full of apples.

Another thing that I did with her other highlights for her looks is that the leggings and the background around her is resembling the tale of "Alice in wonderland" too.

Update: I know the dress doesn't suit the candy apple theme, but I thought I'd let the little candies on my heroines skirt portray the sweets from the rest of my heroines in this collection anyway :3

Cinderella (Vol 2): Pumpkin pie

🎶 "There's a happy feeling nothing in the world can buy, when they pass around the coffee and the "Pumpkin" pie"🎶

Yeah--this treat was an obvious choice for Cinderella cause hello? There's a pumpkin carriage in his story x3

I decided to make my heroine look like a countryside girl that has a similar design like Cinderella himself (Ive been getting Sound of music vibes while doing her too xD)

And the hanging jack-o-lantern is the item I gave her cause not only its a pumpkin, its also got a classic "Halloween-ish" vibe rather than acting as Cinderella’s iconic pumpkin.

Hamelin (Vol 3): Lollipop

They say that you should never take any candy from strangers--especially guys who have big long capes and play woodwind pipes to attract mice out of the streets (lol)

This girl is a "nice" stranger though, but she is actually a doll!

I decided to make her doll appearance like a little girl who asks for anything she wants, so I found a frilled, lace kind of dress and a bonnet to pair with it. (I could see her say something like "Can I have a lollipop please?" and she would instantly get her candy the very next minute cause she’s cute XD)

One thing that is missing to complete her though (which I'll be updating soon) is this piece of doll's skin:

Since the girl is an ill sister of Hamelin in his volume, I wanted to give her a doll version of how she would feel sick by adding a crumbling doll’s body to make her look like she is slowly breaking to bits and pieces.

Sleepy (Vol 4): Black Licorice

Reason why I think this twisty confection is a match is cause I can see it act similar to things Sleepy has in his theme from the series, such as some of the bushes with rose thorns he has in his pictures.

Since Sleepy is originated from "Briar Rose" (Sleeping Beauty), I thought that Licorice would be a good because the length of candy is very long. Kinda like the long vines of rose thorns that is seen from different versions of the fairy tale in general.

The ribbon laces on her shoes is what I could find for licorice-themed shoes because if you visualize carefully--the laces on her ankles represent twisted pieces of black licorice.

Hansel and Gretel (Vol 5 & 6): Chocolate

Chocolate is one of my favourite sweets in the entire world, and seeing Hansel and Gretel's tale makes me think about their heroine having it!

For this heroine, she is the heroine to both Hansel and Gretel in their volumes.

The dress I used is one of the chocolate lolita-like dresses. This one (which is the same one for my muse, Myra) is nice cause its got a pattern of chocolate truffles and chocolate boxes on the hem of the skirt.

I tried finding something like a chocolate bar for a prop to pair up with her theme, but this box of pocky sticks is what I could find in my inventory (at least its related to chocolate lol)

*Mental Oof* Ok thats done--better think of some names for them now while I do Corpse heart and Luciole.

But, if any of you guys have some ideas of what names I should give them, then I don't mind hearing at all!
