With everything we learned during these past 24 hours, I hope that as the QSMP moves forward and implement the changes Quackity talked about, we, the audience can keep in mind a few things :
-Be kind and be patient with the admins, especially those in the roleplaying and writing department. Sure, some things have been frustrating as a viewer, but we know that they are very hardworking and didn’t have much control on the way some things happened.
-Listen when some communities use their voices to raise constructive criticism about issues that they think the server face. Things cannot improve if people don’t have the space to point out problems without facing hate.
I truly hope things will improve, that the admins can work in better conditions and have the efforts and love they put in the project be recognised. This can only bring positive change for everyone’s experience with the QSMP, including ccs and viewers.

Ok but like I am so so glad QSMP led to introducing me to Ordem Paranormal! I love ttrpg liveplays, and probably never would’ve found it otherwise. It’s things like this I find so cool about the server encouraging culture exchange

weird question i guess but just curious. other than brit expats, do protestants exist in portugal?
Oh yes, if you consider evangelical communities they are huge. Mostly they're Brazilian communities but not just. The Evangelical church actually has a massive presence in Portugal, especially Lisbon. I live very close to what you would call a mega church (they just don't look like that). IURD, Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus, is VERY controversial and massive

i feel like noting something rn for the non-brazilians
rozzi’s journal has a moment that implies she was nicknamed bela/bella (from isabela, or isabella, depends on whether the parent is close or distant from the brazilian equivalent of kayghtleighn parents, which is something like my sister’s classmate who was named ysabelly)
that wouldn’t happen, i think. i’ve only ever seen isa as a nickname for isabela. partially because, like
you know how calling someone bella is like ooo it sounds ~foreign~ so americans pull that shit all the time in media with a foreigner that’d speak french, italian, or spanish when they’re flirting with a lady?
it’s not a foreign word here. when directed towards a person it’s basically like saying they’re gorgeous or beautiful. brazilian translation of beauty in beauty and the beast is bela
it’s choosing to call a little girl a word that deliberately means beautiful. yeah, there’s non-weird connotations, but it would sound kinda weird and a bit creepy, so if you had the choice you’d just pick the other part of the name that will not sound weird
realistically she’d be nicknamed isa and to me it’s mildly funny that they could not get the names 100% right every time because of a technicality

TAG GAME !!
tagged by @teobug in this post hi woirmie :] I am NOT reblogging that kilometric post sowwy. new poast just for me.
Last song I listened to: I'm going to lie to you and say this song because I am a little bit obsessed with it. especially with the gay Ticket to Ride at the end. the boy that's driving me mad is going awayyyyyeah..... he's got a ticket to riiide.. he's got a ticket to ri-ii-iiide... he's got a ticket to ride and he don't care...... truly inspires the mind to think. what if the beatles was gay.
(but actually i'm listening to the whole album it belongs to. I love heartbreak homoeroticism and political criticism)
Currently watching: Dungeon Meshi :] (well not literally right now but it's the only series I'm currently keeping up with. I'm not much of a watcher of things)
Currently obsessed with: my ocs <3 .... [looks shamefully at all the writing docs open in the background waiting for me to add even a crumb of a sentence to them]......... and obimaul I guess
Tagging: anyone who wants to do it :]

"My religion doesn't support gay/trans people" almost kind of barely makes sense until you try to fill in gay/trans with any other kind of people. Let's say in a world where any kind of discrimination could be defended ever, you don't hear things like, "My religion doesn't support Mongolian people." It sounds stupid, doesn't it?! "Oh, you're Kenyan? I don't have a problem with you being Kenyan but because I'm Christian/Mormon, I don't agree with Kenyans." How about, "You're Brazilian! You're going to burn in hell!" Like. What is going on here. Doesnt this sound so random? I'm all for religious freedom, I'm so serious, I'm a religious minority myself... I'm just genuinely curious how it makes sense to justify a specific discrimination, like I don't see Christians doing this with literally anything else... "oh, you're paralyzed? Yknow in my religion its a sin to use a wheelchair... I would never let one of my children be paralyzed/use a wheelchair." Doesn't it just sound weird like this? Its literally the same soup, different flavor.
