I just sometimes feel like I'm not trans enough. I never knew I was a boy, I didn't know I could even be something other than a woman and I just can't relate with a majority of trans people, it just makes me sad sometimes. Hell, the only reason I "knew" I was trans was because I got unreasonably happy at being called sir instead of miss, when one of my friends got offended on my behalf. I don't even necessarily hate my body, I'm just used to it (I enjoyed it more before puberty, though). Sometimes I just feel like a masculine woman cosplaying as trans in trans spaces, but then I get excited at the thought of starting T and getting top surgery and then just. Idk. Sorry if it's too rambly
you are 'trans enough' just because you dont relate to some other peoples experience, doesnt mean you arn't trans

no offence but has anyone who hates YA books ever actually read a YA book that came out after like 2015 and is less mainstream than what gets big in TikTok because I promise y'all there is so much good YA out there YA is not inherently bad it is literally just books about teenagers for teenagers
I guarantee you there are just as many shitty adult books out there, y'all just can't get your heads out of your asses long enough to understand that YA is not synonymous with bad writing or certain tropes it is literally just an age category
like I will make fun of YA tropes as much as the next person but for christs sake some of y'all read a few bad YA books and just decided an entire category of books was automatically bad
I understand if you don't like reading YA. if you have outgrown YA. that's valid!! don't read it!! it's literally that easy just don't read it! I'm reading less and less of it as I get older too! but some of the best books I have ever read are YA because shockingly, an entire age category that is not defined by tropes any more than any other category is, has plenty of books that are well written and unique

Okay but why did the 1989 rerecording came out fast????? It's been like a month since Speak Now TV and our blonde racist is doing another cashgrab this quick? 😭😭😭😭
No offense but the album cover is HIDEOUS like what is that.
tbh she probably rerecorded all of them already and just has them ready to release when it suits her pr agenda.
also-
this is objectively awful for 1989. this looks like a cover for if August was a single. it has nothing to do with the album and takes all the attempted nostalgia of a polaroid out of it, and now it just looks like a random picture with photoshopped seagulls. like. all of her covers for the rerecords have been absolute misses. i get that they're supposed to signify that taylor is older now and has different tastes, etc, but they just don't fit the vibes for any of them and look like poor photoshop jobs (speak now was a MESS). they're just so, so bad. like this would be a fine picture by itself, but to make it the album cover?? for 1989?? another miss.

lol, someone created a blank blog (I have anon turned off) to send me a harassment ask, demanding that I share my diagnosis papers
That is so much work and effort to try to harass a person who has, like, talked in detail about their experience of the assessment process???
And, like, I'm actually fairly sure that I've shared screenshots of my diagnostic assessment before because I, personally, find it hilarious
Like, it basically boils down to "Lucy is in the top 1% of her peer group when you test her vocabulary or give her little puzzles, but she can't tie her shoes and spoke at length about how going to the shops is stressful"
I also shared at least one of my dissertations on here, where I stated I'm autistic in the ethics portion
Like, it's bad to harass people who you think are self-diagnosed like that, but I am just the funniest fucking target to point that at
I literally got diagnosed twice, you cannot get more verifiably autistic than that, and I have also included self-diagnosed people in academic research that made it past ethics checks because it's actually not that hard to make the case for why self-diagnosed people belong in the community, and most autistic-led advocacy groups agree
The NHS is out here giving me free flu jabs and some fucker thinks "post your diagnostic papers" is gonna make me doubt my disability status

I went to a local fabric store today that I haven't visited before and while they have more fabric to offer than any other store here I've been to so far, I'm not sure it'll be my favorite... because the owner was just. A Lot.
Like. I didn't ask for a lecture on how a 300€ sewing machine can't possibly do a good job and that especially new sewers need the better equipment and that starts at 600-700€. That's an insane amount of money! Especially for someone who is just picking up a new hobby and doesn't know whether they'll stick to it long-term! Even horseriding is cheaper to pick up, and that's a hobby that's notorious for being expensive to begin (and maintain).
And to then have the nerve to imply that me being happy with my machine comes from a place of unconsciously justifying my choices! As if I haven't seen experienced sewers consistenly do incredible stuff with machines cheaper than mine. As if the art could only ever be good if you use the most expensive, inaccessible tools. As if my machine (good girl) isn't fun to work with. (Side note: I've had her for six months now and already heard from two people that they'd love to take her if I ever upgrade, unprompted. But sure, she's no good 🙄)
If anyone read til here: you don't have to spend 600€ on a sewing machine. You don't even need 300€! While I dearly love mine, I know I'm in a privileged position to have been able to afford her. Sewing doesn't have to be this luxurious hobby *some people* are making it out to be. There's only a handful of stitches/functions/etc. that you really need, everything else is mostly just nice to have and therefore very optional.

I glanced at my phone and barely caught the title of the song I'm listening to out of the corner of my eye, which means I misread "The Bladed Tactician" as "The Blinded Tactician" and now my heart hurts ):

There's posts on here that are written by an older woman trying to dispense some wisdom onto girls and younger women and nimwits in the notes are almost always whining about how the post excludes men. If you're that concerned and offended on behalf of men then make your own fucking posts instead of derailing ones that are written by women FOR women.

Re: your tags on the George gif set. OMG thank you, why were people taking that so seriously, he's literally laughing, it is so clearly a joke?
Reference
Lmao yeah I mean, as someone who has a very similar sense of humour to George irl—which is very dry, very sarcastic, you never really know if they're joking but you know they are (if that makes sense?)—I honestly just don't think its that likely Paul would have been particularly offended about the joke, or at the very least, I don't think George would have intended to cause That Much offence. To me it just rubs off as like Something Funny that came to mind for him in the moment. [EDIT: Ive also noticed people in the tags saying stuff like "George told the TRUTH", and would like to clarify that that is not what I believe he was even doing here lol. Like I think this was a mostly-thoughtless comment, that he just thought would be funny.]
Like to be honest, his sense of humour has always been quite sardonic—take for instance his "what kind of girl do you like?" "John's wife" comment, like it's mocking, but it's still clearly a joke. So if you'd been friends with someone as long as both George and Paul had been friends for, I feel like you'd just be used to that sarcasm by this point. Hence why I personally doubt Paul would have been offended by the comment, because like, at the end of the day they were mates. They joked around a lot, and Georges sarcastic quips were apart of the groups collective humour, which Im sure everyone was used to by this point (and knew not to take too seriously). Im not saying that There's No Way Paul couldn't have been offended by the joke, but like, I still think its worth keeping in mind that even if he was, I think it's unlikely that that was Georges intention. I was also messaging Fiona about this the other day, and she pointed that Pauls reaction to the comment could have gone either way (he could have found it funny, it could have been upsetting), but we don't know how he responded to it, so it's just a bit Wild that people are getting This Offended on Pauls behalf, when like, We Simply Do Not Know.
I get that sometimes in life you have friends who are literally just Bitchy, but dress all that bitchiness up by saying "geez its just a joke. You're overreacting"—which is incredibly frustrating because it means they can get away with any criticism they should face. But like, I just really don't think thats what's happening here lol. Like I do just think this was intended as a joke, and was probably taken as a joke.

Just received an email at work that says, and I quote, "I returned these boots too small, and where is the scarf I never received it. I’ll have to file a claim with pay pal about the scarf. And I never intend to do business with Italians ever again. Crooks and liars."
This customer is, unsurprisingly, from Alabama. It's good to see that ethnocentrist-based discrimination is not only alive and well, but has not progressed at all since the 1940s in the deep south.
