Favorite Holidays: Christmas and Halloween. even tho i find it harder to feel the holiday spirit up until the very last minute i love christmas so much. and not even to be corny but its true that when you grow up you start to care less about the presents and more about the memories with family and friends.

i grew up in a religous family so my parents didnt let me celebrate halloween but i still love it with my whole heart. im a november baby so i love fall and all things eerie and spooky.

Last Meal: McDonalad's snack wrap and one of those new fruit splash drinks. its exam season so ofc im eating like shit. will probably eat some ice cream when i get home after my physiology exam in 30 minutes. so yay to junk food

Current Favorite Musician: currently ive been really enjoying pinkpantheress. her new album is literally 10/10. she has such a knack for melodies, and her lyrics are very eerie and poetic while maintaining a cutesy 2000s vibe. shes also a sampling queen.

Last Movie Watched: last movie i watched was bride wars. honestly a classic movie, so funny and i love wedding movies so i reccomend it. that was a month ago tho, which is crazy.

Last TV Show Watched: like the wonderful person who tagged me i watched the bear last. i just rewatched s02e01. ive been doing this thing where i'll either rewatch episodes for research, boredom or just because i get sucked in rewatching a specific clip that makes me want to rewatch the whole episode.

Last Book/Fic Finished: last fic i finished was keeping up with the berzattos by chefskiss40 on ao3. ive reread it like 3 or 4 times now and im patiently waiting for an update. its just so good, i love the domestic vibes. im not a fan of seeing my ships start families in canon but in fic? oh i could read that forever

Last Book/Fic Abandoned: not really abandoned but sorta modified? the sydcarmy high school au i started in the summer was a good concept but i didnt really have a concrete idea where the overall story would go. BUT im planning on maybe doing a series which is just a collection of one shots of them in HS? OR i plan on doing a multi-chapter shorter story that is an AU that also takes place in a high school setting but with a twist that i dont want to reveal bc that would mean i would have to commit to it. lol

Currently Reading: nothing. unless you count all these articles/research papers I've been reading for my health research studies course (think i aced the exam yesterday so maybe all the pain was worth it)

Last Thing Researched for Art/Writing/Hyperfixation: doesnt really count as research but basically i was on pinterest creating boards for 3 different fics. was researching wedding dresses for a nat & syd fic where they go wedding dress shopping (will be finishing after my last exam). also just creating two other boards to inspire myself to start the au i teased above and my bones and all AU/retelling i talked about last month. i want to watch some more cannibalism media and maybe research about 80s pop culture and politics before i dive into that one fully.

Favorite Online Fandom Memory: ummmm probably just being a menace on twitter with my friends that i made through being a reveluv. we talk every single day, and they are some of the best people i know. maybe the times we used to get up early or stay up late for comeback season, watch the kcharts being updated hourly and crack jokes about group we liked and didnt like

Favorite Old Fandom You Wish Would Drag You Back In/Have A Resurgence: technically THG is having a resurgence right now but im way too into the bear to really get back into it and also i havent seen the new movie. im excited to once exam season is done but i feel like the hype is already dying so i dont see myself getting too into it.

BEGIN.

Before we start, I would like you to have certain things in mind when approaching me ooc. I am very shy and quite awkward, which results in me not being much of a talker; however, I will always try my best to be friendly to whoever wants to approach. I dislike pet names so please do not use them with me unless we are very close. There will be times when I'm just exhausted, so my wording could sound rude/aggressive, to which I apologize in advance -I never mean to hurt people’s feelings. I also reserve the right to interact with WHOEVER I want, and pestering me about it will only get you blocked.

Updates will be made as required.

I. BASIC.

A. This blog is: Selective / Independent / Canon Divergent / NSFW / Mutuals only / Singleship / Mostly iconless / Multiverse / AU, Crossover, OC, and Multimuse friendly / Vaguely affiliated with the OP RP fandom.

B. I am a very slow rper for many reasons —school, family, my ever-fluctuating mood —and I would appreciate it if you refrained from pestering me for replies. In return I offer as much patience as necessary. Think of this blog as low activity please.

C. English is not my mother language so I apologize in advance for any mistakes made.

D. I track the tag #iinfortunii, although mentioning me works just as fine.

E. Constructive criticism is always welcome but anon hate will be immediately deleted. I have no problems if you disagree with my portrayal, but it doesn't give you the right to harass me.

F. Mun and muse are both over 18, so there are chances that heavy content will be present; however I won't be writing smut. I can roleplay anything before or after the act if requested, but the moment things get far too explicit, I'll do a fade-to-black. I ask of you to not lie about your age or else you’ll be blocked indefinitely.

G. This is a heavily headcanon-based blog, and changes are likely to be made as more information is revealed about him, though I reserve the right to adjust the new information according to my interpretation of Deuce or simply ignore it, which is why I’m canon divergent.

H. If you'd like to turn an ask into a thread, you can turn it into a new post, or reblog from me, as I won't be using the Tumblr asks anymore due to the problems that come with formatting and such.

I. Ask box is open for everyone ic or ooc, but you aren't allowed to turn it into a thread and nor I will reply to it if we’re not mutuals. Please don't push me, because I won't hesitate to block.

J. No godmoding —only a minor is allowed if it moves a thread forward —or metagaming, please. Don't kill Deuce either, unless plotted beforehand, and most importantly, don't hold your muse back.

K. Discord is available for mutuals upon request.

L. Just because I write something it does not mean I condone it. Please have this in mind and again, do not pester me about it. Any and all nsfw matters will be tagged accordingly. There will be triggering topics present, and you can know more about this on the section below.

M. DO NOT involve me in drama or call-out posts. I’m heavily against both things. On this note, you’ll never see me rebloging a call-out post. This culture is so damaging and toxic, and I firmly believe no one should play the role of the judge for the good of the community just because you had issues with someone or don’t agree with the things they roleplay. Talk things privately, be mature about it, hard-block the person and move on. I am also very aware that a lot of people have done things that can’t be excused, but I like to believe that people can change for the better. If you try to drag me into it, I'll hard block any and all people involved indefinitely.

II. TRIGGERS.

A. They will be tagged as trigger tw, trigger / and trigger cw.

B. I do my best to stay up to date with my mutuals triggers. Your comfort is way more important to me than you might think, so never be hesitant to approach me via IM, (anonymous) ask or stop following me.

C. Triggers that are likely to appear, although some more than others: violence || blood || death || drugs || abuse || knives || body image || medical equipment || suggestive content || etc

D. I have no triggers, so you are free to go wild with your content. I only ask you remember to tag your nsfw (both written and visual), please.

III. INTERACTIONS.

A. Deuce won't like everyone. He might/will make wrong assumptions about your character. He will insult and bite back. He won't always be nice to those he likes. He does many things that serve his interests. You, as the mun, have no reason to take it personal, because I'm won't follow someone I don't like; if you DO take it personal however, and decide to rouse drama, then I'll be hard-blocking you. Goes for me as well —I have no reason to get angry for any of the things noted above.

B. My bonds page displays the relationships that have been built over time, not necessarily through interaction alone but over plotting as well. Refer to it for more information.

C. Interactions with OCs related to canon characters will only take place as long as said OCs have a detailed about page. Personally, I'm not interested in the idea of an OC being blood-related to my portrayal, so I apologize in advance.

D. Formatting isn’t a big thing across my blogs, save for the small text. Please don’t mix either sup/sub with small text when writing with me, as I have eyesight problems. Don’t use colored text either.

E. Non-romantic pre-established relationships are allowed! Just make sure to talk it out with me first, yeah?

01. Spade / Whitebeard pirates (canon and original characters alike that i am MUTUALS with) will have a pre-established relationship as long as the other mun is comfortable with such idea, though that relationship will be limited to merely crewmates, unless discussed otherwise.

F. You don’t need to match my writing length as long as I’m given enough to work with. If something about my reply bothers or doesn’t work with you, let me know and I’ll re-work it.

G. I really enjoy plotting scenarios or talking out about the relationships my muse could have with other muses, so hit me up if you’ve got any ideas! I’ll try to do the same!

H. Mun does not equal muse, so don’t go assuming I’m a jerk simply because Deuce is an asshole from time to time. I’m set on the idea that I’ll give people the same treatment they give me —which is always nice and kind. Kudos to everyone for this ♡

I. I don’t use a threadtracker because I rely on my memory (terrible mistake, I know), but I try to draft people’s replies as soon as I see them. If by any reason it seems like I lost it, then please let me know / send me a link with it and I’ll be deeply grateful.

J. I don’t do nor reply to greetings starters for matters of my own comfort, so I ask of you to never expect a starter or a reply from them.

IV. SHIPPING.

A. Singleship, with the spot taken by daadzi, which means Deuce is no longer open for romantic relationships.

01. Under no circumstances, I will accept more romantic relationships once the spot is taken. That being said, I won’t discourage your muse from falling for / hitting on him, although I ask you to understand he will never respond with the same interest or will never react gently if he’s pushed too far.

02. If my shipping partner is comfortable enough, I'll interact with duplicates with the condition that the relationship is strictly platonic.

B. Constant interaction, mutual interest, and chemistry are a must for the sake of better communication (both ic and ooc, preferably).

C. Please do not approach me if you wish our characters to have either a: one night stand or friends with benefits type of relationships. It won’t work out due to the nature of Deuce’s personality, and for that I apologize.

E. My ship has its own tag so you're free to block it if you don't want to see it on your dashboard. In addition, I'll also tag those posts with only the ship name for this very purpose.

F. Please do not force ships on me.

V. CELEBRATIONS.

A. First off, I am absolutely terrible at keeping up with dates, and to be frank, I am not the biggest fan of celebrating, which is why I think it’s necessary to say I won’t be partaking in any holidays, not even Deuce’s birthday (not that he has one, to begin with). Obviously I will still reply to any gifts received, and will send out things in return —you know, common courtesy.

B. I won't be sending out birthday gifts every year, and I might write drabbles for people once in a blue moon; it doesn’t mean they will be done for the specific date though, so please be patient.

VI. REASONS TO NOT FOLLOW BACK / UNFOLLOW.

A. Too much drama / call-outs / vague posts / sexual content.

B. Content makes me uncomfortable.

C. You are a personal blog without a visible rp sideblog. Please make sure it's easy to find.

D. You do not have a proper tag system.

VII. ABOUT BEATRICE.

She is not a real person. Her concept as Deuce’s (toxic) pseudolover is my creation and was somewhat inspired from the real life Beatrice Portinari. Do have in mind that Deuce doesn’t talk about her so your muse can’t simply approach him and ask about her unless they can go through his memories / read his mind / any capability alike or he speaks about her, though it won't take a genius to figure out that she's a product of his imagination.

She serves as a lie to shield himself from the internalized homophobia he deals with up until meeting Ace.

NOTE: As stated previously, Mun =/= muse, but I too have been dealing with compulsory heterosexuality for far too long, so I'd like to apologize in advance for projecting a bit of that into my portrayal. I'll work so that this part makes sense with what we've been given from Ace's novel.

VIII. MISCELLANEOUS.

A. I will never force people to follow me, so if by any reason you have to unfollow/block me, please go ahead. Your comfort matters and have every right to do what you must to ensure your wellbeing. With that said, I will not tolerate and will immediately hard block if you try to police my content.

B. I do not follow back immediately, and it can take me from a few hours to several days to follow back. Do not take it personally if I choose not to.

C. If I follow it’s because I am interested in interacting. I only ask you to be patient because it might take me a while to gather the courage to send something to your inbox or talk to you.

MULTI OR SINGLE! ♡ I rather do single blogs because I don’t have the energy to keep track of all my muses tbh. And the last time I did a multimuse, I ended up focusing on only one character, so it was pretty much useless for me.

FLUFF / ANGST / SMUT! ♡

FLUFF: I love fluff. All the cute handle holding, gazing into each other’s eyes, and saying romantic things that make my character’s heart burst with love. That’s the best kind of love imo. I can’t get enough of it.

ANGST: NEED IT. WANT IT. DOING IT. ALL DAY EVERY DAY. ANYTIME.

SMUT: I don’t mind smut, but I’m very exclusive with this. I don’t rp smut on Tumblr anymore because of past experiences, and much rather make anything along that line offline. It’s part of a character’s life at one point, so naturally there’s nothing wrong with it. I just have trouble on Tumblr cuz some people are very kinky and that’s like a NO for me. The muses I go for usually have demisexual / ace tendencies, so it’s not a fun experience for both mun and muse.

Do you have any advice for greek people in diaspora who want to de-assimilate? My family immigrated to america when my great grandparents came over, and im kinda struggling to reconnect with my heritage when everyone in my family likes to pretend it doesnt exist. I grew up speaking some greek but even my parents admitted they want to forget all their greek and its really heartbreaking to see

I am sorry your parents treat Greek culture like a secret in the family. :/ It breaks my heart as well. But I am actually amazed that some Greek has stayed in the family from the time of your great grandparents!

To begin, assimilating isn’t exactly bad. Many people through the centuries have moved to other countries and became citizens of the new place in every way. Sure, you leave your old customs behind but you get new ones and you become part of a new community. It’s a natural process, happening since the beginning of humanity. Of course, it comes down to personal choice. Your parents want to not stand out. You want to keep the best of the new culture and the old culture.

I don’t want to assume things about you. Ι am saying this just in case you feel this way: please do not scorn the culture of the place where you live. Every culture is different and interesting, even if it seems mundane to you. The new culture is most likely the bigger part of you and it needs some care, too.

For example, I have spoken to many immigrants in the US and most of them dislike the US. At the same time, through our dicussions, they show me - and tell me - they couldn’t be less American. They had a very different upbringing than the people from their parents’ motherland.

I think it would be best if you got comfortable with both sides of you, the Greek one and the assimilated one. If your children and your children’s children live away from Greece, they will get more and more assimilated. It’s impossible to de-assimilate completely and forever. As many other Greeks, I am planning to leave Greece in a very short time. It’s sad to think my traditions won’t continue to the next generations. But it’s a reality we must face - and we should probably try to be positive about it.

That being said, it’s perfectly fine to have the desire to know more about your roots for whatever reason. So here is my advice to you:

2) Learn where your family comes from. Maybe by asking your grandparents or your parents you can learn the exact place/town or the geographical compartment of your family. Look for the specific dances and traditional costume of that area from YouTube videos or a Greek community in your area! See if the people there were great warriors, great merchants, great wine producers. See if there are any Greek heroes of the 1821 revolution coming from your place!

That may need lots of Google searching but I think you will get somewhere. I am also availiable if you want me to give you more information about a specific place.

For every Greek tribe there is a tag on my blog, like #macedonia, #epirus, #thrace and more. I have tags for most of the towns, too! You can also search for the different Greek “tribes” (Pontiacs, Kappadokians, Thracians and so on) which are often named after the place they lived. Everyone falls into some of them and you probably come from one (or two) as well!

3) Learn some more Greek. I suggest that because learning Greek means learning how Greeks think. I suppose you know the basics but how about the 20+ weird phrases we have to playfully say someone is gay, like “he flogs the dolphin”, “he shakes the pear tree” etc. What about the Greek phrases which stem from war and pirate raids and… hating the Turks?? How about the Mediterranean expressions like calling a mole “olive” or saying “I am in an open sea” when we feel lost, or saying “he pressed my oil out” when someone tires us?

Greekpod101 on YouTube will help you learn the basics and a little more! They also have a site. But basically going on Youtube and typing “learn Greek” will do the trick. For more weird or advanced stuff you can look at my tag #learn greek and #greek language.

4) Greek memes - Greek diaspora social media. They are surprisingly educational! @hooplagreeks on instagram is one of my fave meme profiles! Watch youtubers of Greek diaspora as “Greek in the City” or the Greek comedian Basile! On instagram you may want to follow @greekfestvictoria (videos of Greek dances and people, and photos of the community) and @newdiaspora (“a digital storytelling platform, focusing on the new generation of Greeks living abroad during the crisis in their homeland”) and @ greek_diaspora (some things for Greek culture).

On my tag #greek diaspora you may find more people like you! Some have asked me similar stuff so I may be repeating stuff in those posts as well.

5) Cook/eat Greek food. If your grandparents and mum know recipes, take them as if they are gold. It’s a great way to get familiar with the local Greek ingredients and the Greek palette. Heck, look for Greek recipes on the internet and cook them! If you don’t know where to start, my tag #greek cuisine may be helpful.

6) Read Greek classic literature (in Greek if you can, but you can also find works translated in English). Elitis, Sahtouris, Seferis, Venezis, Papadiamantis, Mirivilis, Delta, Empirikos, Zei, Kazantzakis are only a few of the literary gems Greeks have to offer. Enjoy good writing, the Greek perspective, and get to know the newer Greek society in a unique and authentic way. Here is a list with more of them (link).

7) Meet more Greeks! Through groups on insta or fb, through Tumblr blogs etc. Watch youtubers of Greek diaspora as “Greek in Town” or the comedian Basile! Maybe there is one Greek community near you area and you can pay a visit for festivals! (No day, Independence Day, 1st of March, Easter meal, Dance festivals etc). Don’t be shy to go there. From what I have seen, people from all backgrounds are welcome there. Plus, Greeks LOVE showing their culture so you are going to learn a lot of things from them.

8) Be proud. I know it may sound kind of weird but I feel being proud is one key element of being Greek. In every anniversary wars we won, in our schools we sing prideful songs and hang posters with our war heroes, always standing proud. The students and the army parade in the streets the small children wearing traditional costumes (parade is kinda of a facist remnant - ew - but it shows that we want to instill pride even in our children. It has a few positive elements I guess :P). To sum up, be proud of a people who endured natural catastrophes, wars, genocide, famine, occupation, slaughters and slavery and can still stand!

9) Travel to Greece? I don’t know how affortable it is for you and how easy it is but I recommend it. Your tickets don’t need to be for summer. (Honestly, you may want to avoid summer. It’s too hot and too crowdy in tourist areas. Spring is our best season ;). You can come off season and just see the place and meet the people. See the species Grecus Hellenicus in its narutal habitat! Maybe you’ll make some new friends to discuss about Greek culture!

10) Search the tags on this blog. In #greek people you will see Greeks of every era, in #vintage you will find old towns and traditional settings. In #paradosiaki foresia await some of the Greek traditional clothes. #greek language, #greek culture and #greek tradition, #greek festival, #greek music are self explanatory.

its 2020 , why are there still writers that try to control other ppl’s content ? let people write homophobic / sexist / racist / morally gray / insensitive characters if they want to. mun =/= muse . are holocaust fiction writers who portray nazi characters nazis themselves ??? no ??? i still don’t understand what’s wrong with writing problematic characters . they’re not self inserts . if you personally don’t want to see that shit , no one is forcing you to come into contact with their content. just block it , simple . at the end of the day, rp is a hobby for all of us & ppl on the internet come from diff backgrounds / cultures / circumstances . no need to shove your own standard onto everyone , just approach every conversation w respect .

i’ve been on tons of forums during my years of rp & tumblr rpcs are genuinely like no other !! tumblr centralises multiple plotlines around a single character & aims to explore character psychology / depth as opposed to focusing more on plot than character development , which i highly , highly appreciate / prefer ! also , people in rpcs are generally super friendly & willing to interact , & the quality of blogs on tumble are just absolutely fab . not only the writing but the amount of thought / planning put behind the backstories , hcs , verses —— it’s so heartwarming to see how much people care abt their characters + worldbuilding —— it makes me more invested in interacting w the muses around me & developing my own in tandem !!

About Page!

Hello~! Thank you so much for visiting my blog! My name is Koya, I’m 25, I’m pansexual, my pronouns are she/her, and I’m a full time freelance artist! My main blog is @koyakyuuun, so I’ll be liking and following from there!

Below are some guidelines for those who are curious to know more about this blog and what to expect from it, as well as some general info and FAQs!

Content Guidelines!

The focus of this blog!

So this blog is a mish mash of a couple different themes, but above all it is an adult oriented Invader Zim fan blog!! I grew up with the show and and was a BIG fan during highschool, and after rediscovering it this year I have been DAZZLED and DELIGHTED by the fan content being produced today!! I have a deeply nostalgic yet completely new perspective on the show now that I’m in my 20s, so alongside of celebrating iz content and fan content in general, this blog will center around my niche fave: the iz cast + millennial culture! in other words, the characters depicted as if they lived in the real world and aged in real time! I loved and related to the characters as a kid, and I still love them dearly to this day, so to see people experiment with character interpretations and create adult versions of them means I can still relate to them even now, and even make my own versions! and as a queer neurodivergent millennial who loves niche culture, my favorite versions of the characters are queer neurodivergent millennials who love niche culture!! (and by niche culture I mean MEMES, AESTHETICS, BAD FASHION, GAY CULTURE, CRYPTID CULTURE, DARK CORNERS OF THE INTERNET, CREATIVELY WEIRD SELF EXPRESSION ETC!!)

And of course the other main theme which fits into the first: ZADR! while I don’t ship Zim and Dib as they’re canonically presented in the show, I DO adore the idea of the two growing up together, eventually becoming friends, and eventually falling in love. I’m a Big Gay and I love romance and lgbt content, and ZADR holds such a soft place in my heart 😭 I wrote a big post about why I love it so much which you can see here if you’re curious about my interpretation of the ship!

And now, some guidelines!!

Things I enjoy and will be posting/reblogging!

- general IZ content! because holy SHIT I love the show and ALL the content the fandom creates is awe inspiring and amazing!!!

- millennial culture/humor! I FUCKING LOVE IZ + 2019 POP CULTURE REFERENCES AND MEME CONTENT OKAY

- POSITIVE CONTENT! IZ is my comfort content and I deeply admire the positive impact the show has had on so many people. I also interpret Zim and Dib as having hard lives and mental problems but eventually recovering and finding happiness (and making each other happy!!). I do also love vent content and gritty/dark themes from an artistic standpoint (and of course comedic Depression™ memes) but I will be focusing much more on comforting and uplifting content!

- character development/relationships, fluff, comedy, domestic content, daily life, sci fi, conspiracy/cryptid content, fashion portraits and camp horror!! these are my favorite themes!!

- friendship, romance, and found family!! I adore the relationships between the characters and they ALL DESERVE LOVE!!!!! JHONEN CAN BITE MY ASS

- the IZ creators!! speaking of Jhonen LOL I LOVE seeing content about the creators themselves!! I genuinely have such affection and admiration for the wonderful people who brought and continue to bring the world of IZ to life, they are such amazing and inspiring human beings and I will be celebrating them alongside their creations!!

- IZ characters + aesthetics!! some of my MOST favorite IZ content depicts the characters being stylized with or sporting the fashion of vaporwave, goth, grunge, pastel, spacecore, cryptidcore, future funk, 90s disastercore and any and all things strange, niche, glittery and neon, and I FUCKING LOVE IT. GOD

- and lastly, I talk a fuck of a lot, as you can probably tell by this post lol. I’ll be screaming in the tags constantly and am liable to write the occasional super long text post! for those who are into that, I invite you to have discussions with me! and for those who aren’t, feel free to ignore them!

Things I will be staying away from!

- romantic content that depicts the characters as minors AKA underage zadr!! there will be no kid ships here! I’m an adult and only enjoy shipping adult versions of the characters! kid content will be either canon, wholesome, or friendship content! while I do find adult versions of the characters attractive since they have qualities I find attractive in real life, I see the adult versions as almost completely different people since they’re so far removed from the source content, and the love I feel for the canon kids is HIGHLY maternal and very nostalgia centric. this would probably be more clear if I didn’t lump the two types of content into the same blog, but I really do love both the adult fan interpreted IZ world and the canon IZ world in equal measure, just in different ways!

- content that fetishizes or ‘yaoi’-fies gay relationships! I am a queer person and I enjoy queer content made by queer people for queer people, you’re not gonna find any “B-BUT WE’RE BOTH BOYS!” shit here 😂

- content that depicts abuse between friends or partners!! while violence is an active theme in zim and dib’s canonical relationship, I very much dislike zadr content that depicts the two being aggressive or malicious towards each other while they’re supposedly in love. complex relationships are certainly interesting, but while toxic and abusive relationships are realistic, they’re not okay and should not be romanticized. I understand some people use that kind of content to cope, but for me it’s nothing but bad feelings. sparring and play fighting is fine and good, consensual violence could be interesting to explore, but hatred will stay separate from romance on this blog.

- discourse and long conversations about negative topics! I acknowledge the importance of discussing problems within the fandom, however I wish for this blog to be a positive and comforting place, since iz content in general is positive and comforting for me! there may be an occasional post that touches on real life negative topics but overall this will be kept to a minimum.

- explicit content!! while I DO both draw and consume nsfw adult zadr content, it will not be on this blog! since tumblr decided to be idiots and remove any way for minors and people who don’t wish to see nsfw content to hide it, this blog will remain pg-13. I will also not be providing any links to my other sites because of this (I am a nsfw artist and I sell porn commissions for a living, not trying to shove that in the faces of my minor, ace and sex repulsed followers, but by all means seek out my art if you DO wish to!). similarly, I will not be releasing my nsfw zadr art publicly anywhere, since aged up characters are controversial and my career, being online, could suffer if someone wanted to use that against me. HOWEVER, for fellow adult fans with extra cash who take a shine to my art, paid content could be a possibility in the future 👀

- pressure to produce content! I like any other creator adore comments and compliments, but things like “DRAW MORE!!” “MORE ZADR!!” “WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO DRAW MORE!!” are not compliments!! it is in fact very off putting so please don’t do that! it will mess with my motivation! consider commissioning me if you want more content!

- if you are considering trying to be my friend, please be 20+!! I am not comfortable being friends with teens! nothing against my teen followers, I respect and appreciate you, but please understand I cannot relate to you on a personal level, and besides that, being friends with someone over 20 can be harmful and even dangerous for minors! I am an adult and only wish to have adult friends! please respect my wishes!

About my content!

So since what I like to draw is usually pretty different from the show, here are the basic headcanons for my interpretations of adult Zim and Dib~! Basically they’re queer 2019 millennials who are damaged but doing their best and enjoy niche interests and subcultures. Zim is the type who’s tough to handle but it’s worth it because he’s an amazing and colorful person underneath it all and only those he’s close to get to see that, and Dib is an eccentric but completely reliable, intelligent, passionate, and loyal friend whose company is a familiar comfort and a total safe space. They live together and are mutually beneficial allies to friends to lovers!

I HAVE A FIC, or at least an idea for one lol and when using my designs for the characters, my drawings will most likely be set in its context! Affectionately nicknamed the Soft AU, it’s centered around rest, recovery, affection, care and bonding… bc I’m SOFT OKAY 😂 You can read the full summary here, but here’s the gist!

A little over a decade after arriving on earth, Zim’s banishment is reinstated and as a result his entire base and all his equipment is confiscated, leaving him stranded on Earth with no way off the planet and in danger of being caught and killed by the humans. Dib offers him a deal that he’ll hide Zim instead of turning him in in exchange for letting him study Zim. They live together in Dib’s apartment and eventually get used to each other. Loneliness induced affection ensues. Hooray!!

And now for the boys themselves!

My Dib!

- 25, 6′2″, Mexican, cis boy, bisexual, bilingual

- is recovering from depression and anxiety and has ADD and insomnia, has had a nicotine addiction

- has a ton of ear piercings and a few facial piercings, as well as a few tattoos

- is still just as obsessive about his interests as he was as a kid, just with more curbed enthusiasm due to, yknow, depression. researching Zim however brings his enthusiasm back full force. he still sucks at taking care of himself when enthralled with his work but he’s getting there

- runs various blogs, forums, and youtube channels making content about cryptids and conspiracy theories, the ad revenue of which is his main source of income (he dislikes using his father’s money to support himself, but will dip into the family account occasionally)

- is very patient and can communicate and problem solve very well, and is skilled at handling various conflicts and mental issues

- still has his ‘I hate people’ attitude but is more open minded and understanding than he used to be, and more compassionate. he has difficulty trusting strangers but his friends and family are very important to him

- can be moody and dramatic but he’s a big sweetheart at his core

- being friends with Zim has made him more willing to enjoy acting like a huge dork and total weirdo, even in public

My Zim!

- young adult, 5′5″, androgynous presenting demi boy, panromantic demisexual

- has PTSD and anxiety, is recovering with help from Dib

- displays inhuman behavior such as hissing, growling, chirring, chirping, scratching/biting, screeching, territory guarding and dominance displays

- is a demi boy, meaning he identifies as mostly but not completely male, and is more nonbinary than cis, but he’s never given it too much thought because gender is stupid. he has little to no concept and zero regard for human gender roles

- is a SHIT who’s main entertainment is annoying Dib and ‘winning’ arguments, but Dib seems to get harder to piss off as time goes on, much to his confusion

- pitches a fit when he doesn’t agree with/doesn’t want to do something but can be swayed with rewards such as food, sweets, new clothes, video games etc

- rambunctious and high energy, he gets stir crazy often, but since he hates the city he and Dib often take car trips to more fun/nicer places outside the neighborhood

- moody and bratty with skewed logic but smart and more intuitive than he used to be, he’s more than a handful to deal with, but this also makes him the most entertaining person Dib knows

- after having the free time to discover the world of aesthetics, he becomes very much into clothes, make up, accessories etc (be they masculine or feminine) and enjoys making a hobby out of creating a unique self image using fashion (thus also subconsciously asserting his individuality)

- is much more dependent on Dib than he admits (or even realizes)

- his beliefs in nationalism, fascism and genocide are direct results of brainwashing and personality altering programs run by his PAK, and are not actually part of his core personality (these programs will be overridden and deleted eventually)

Side Note: I haven’t thought as far with the other characters but my Gaz and Tak are definitely lesbians 😂

RP Hooks ––– – Reluctant Mage: Fal doesn’t volunteer that he’s an arcanist/summoner, and really can only be caught using (or even talking about using) magic in dire situations. However, on the rare occasion an experienced mage might see him break out the spells, they would notice that his technique is unrefined and atypical to say the least. He casts via gestures and verbal/auditory components rather than diagrams and symbols, and does not summon -egis, though Ruby can mimic their abilities. He does carry a “grimoire” but closer inspection will reveal that just a book of dirty limericks rebound to look appropriately mystical. As a mage, he’s a unique curiosity at best and a butcher of ancient arts at worst, depending on your perspective. That’s What They Said: Fal’s into casual sex and will happily go home with/take home people of most any gender/race as long as they have a compatible personality and provide enthusiastic consent. A one night stand could easily turn into a lasting friendship. He also has a great respect for sex workers and adult entertainers of all kinds, and even spent a few years performing in the orchestra at a burlesque house. Bohemians: Fal performs solo most of the time, but its mostly for the sake of convenience. He actually loves the company of other creative folks and artists of all types, and is naturally drawn to them. Need to hire a guest musician in your band? Want some creative leatherworking ideas? Just want to talk poetry? Need people to come to your gallery showing? He’d love to. Even if you’re not a creative type, you can still hire him to play at your nameday party or make you a nice set of wristbands! Lowlives: Fal isn’t a member of the criminal underworld and doesn‘t actively commit crimes himself, but Eat the Rich and Fuck the Police are two of his favorite phrases. He’s happy to look the other way or even aid/abet people that fall on the wrong side of the law (within reason.) Please note that this DOES NOT mean he can’t make friends with individual nobility or authority figures, he‘s just inclined to be distrustful of them at first. On the flipside, it also DOES NOT mean he condones violent criminals.

ok im going to do this based on the actual fandoms i.e. the people in them and its atmosphere

1. vocaloid: i know this fandom has a reputation for being cringey but honestly i think the “cringey” part was the outer layer of “fake fans” who only cared about the vocaloid characters and not the people who made the music and only listened to the most popular songs, and tbh most of them left by 2013ish when vocaloid stopped being as popular. this was kind of my first online experience of fandom, and i think it has a lot of really creative and cool people in it (especially since technically there is no “canon” and pretty much everything including songs are fan works)

2. pokemon: im actually surprised at how unproblematic this fandom is considering how big it is, it was really fun to play sun and moon with everyone else when the games came out because there was SO much fanart and memes and fan content in general which made my experience so much better! seriously there’s a crazy amount of really good fan content in general (a few weeks ago i legit watched an hour and a half long yt video some dude made about england hypothetically being a pokemon region and he put SO MUCH effort into researching its history and culture and writing a plot and commissioning concept art from artists, it made me disappointed that it wasn’t a real game agsjdjdk)

3. lifeline: i know it’s a smol fandom but i made a lot of friends through it, and some of yall are really good at fanart and stuff (like holly’s animatics!!), also it was fun to be super salty at lifeline universe, idk i just like the vibes of this fandom, it’s cozy but lively

4. the room: this might be the smallest fandom i’ve ever seen because it’s basically just like 5 people including me agsjhdkfkfk but i’m glad i went through the tag after i got obsessed with the games and randomly messaged someone who made fanart (alex) because we all ended up becoming friends and also we’re all REALLY into it so we’re making enough fanart and theories and headcanons for a bigger fandom tbh (ALSO IM GLAD I WASNT ALONE IN HATING THE CRAFTSMAN AGSJDJKD) (also i remember at first being paranoid that there would be exclusionists in this fandom but turns out actually 4 out of 5 of us are ace so uhhh this game is ace culture now)

5. rusty lake: OKAY EVERYONE IN THIS FANDOM IS SO SMART AND TALENTED AND I DONT KNOW HOW, like it’s a pretty small fandom but there’s people churning out super detailed fanart and embroidery and sculptures and stuff like everyday, and also sooo many fan theories. i also like how international this fandom feels, like it honestly feels like there’s fans from nearly every single country, and i think the devs are also good at cultivating the fandom because they’re really involved in it (seriously im like impressed at their social media engagement skills, also they’re SO nice which i find funny because it contrasts with their dark and grim games). i also love how extremely dedicated everyone is, like as soon as they announced their kickstarter everyone was like “HOW DO I GIVE YOU ACCESS TO MY BANK ACCOUNT” and I was like Big Mood (I bought the rusty lake paradise soundtrack literally just to give them money) (the music is HELLA good too, but i could have managed by listening to it without buying it, I specifically wanted to give them my money agsjdjfjjfkfkfk)

I was tagged by lovely and wonderful @ladiekatie and I think someone else awhile back (i’m so sorry, it’s probably half buried in the depths of my saved drafts)

5 things you’ll find in my bag:

Wallet packed with receipts, cards (half that are useless but I transfer from wallet to wallet regardless, hello 10 yr old college id and oh shiiiit son is that a blockbuster card?!), and napkin doodles born from bar boredom.

First Aid kit.

A pendant/pin from my Nana when I was born (been my ‘good luck charm’ of sorts that I have always carried with me)

a tiny notebook for random thoughts/ideas that hit me on the go

phone (a galaxy s3 brick, but ah well it still works -when it wants)

5 things you’ll find in my room (or apartment):

My bed, which its primary use is a library/creativity station seeing as I sleep like an over-caffeinated owl

2 bookcases, 2 book shelves and a designated book drawer in my dresser. It’s not a reading problem unless I run out of things to read!

Reading, always reading something. Praise be AO3!

Thunderstorms, they calm me down like no other. (Unless they knock the power out then I rage because I was reading one of the 32 open Sterek fics on my computer)

Salads. There’s one restaurant in my area that has the best dinner salads and it’s an existential experience. People don’t dare speak to me when that plate gets laid in front of my face, I barely come up for air and will finish yours off. lol

Friends that I’ve gotten the absolute pleasure of knowing through the Sterek fandom. Aces, all of you! *group hug* <3 :)

5 things I’m currently into:

Sterek. Always and Forever.

Trying to get back into OUAT after missing the past 3 seasons. (”Shh. Adelaide being in it is not a factor,” she lied.)

Looking into a different career path than what I got my degree in (Physical Therapy). Translation: I could make a sick EDM track of the screams of the doubtful & damned that I’ve been emitting.

Getting back to my basics. I loved writing and drawing, but I’ve been my own worse enemy. Nothing is good enough or constructed properly. I’ve amassed so many drafted stories that have been sitting for too long and I’ve been slowly working on them again. As for drawing, I currently have a tab open pricing a drawing tablet - which will be a whole new world for me.

Looking into starting a gofundme for a one way ticket on a spacex flight out of the US. Explanation needed? Me thinks not.

5 things on my to do list:

Interact with people more. I’ve unwittingly grown more reclusive the older I’ve become and so become more closed off in a personal sense. Although around a group I can be as extroverted as they come, it wears on me quick. The majority of the time I hate talking about my personal life so I become the jokester to deflect, but it leaves me feeling a bit hollow, ya feel? I’m slowly trying to adjust to a bigger hermit shell.

Clutter begone! I have an orderly chaos strewn about which gets tossed out every 3 months when I go on a cleaning binge, but I’d rather not have to do that....why does this sound like my love life?

Find myself. I’ve hit a spork in the road where I don’t know where I want to go in life; I have a lot of passions but I just need to narrow them down and focus on a few. At 13 I knew I wanted to be a PT, ended up getting my Masters in it, then I had health issues, back surgery and severe depression came back with a vengeance, then I had to take care of family members for a few years and life got put on hold further, and my world changed. Now I have to make time for myself and figure out my path. (I should have titled this “Dear Diary” lol sorry for the feels drop, y’all.)

Go to a concert this year. I love going to different festivals and such, but haven’t gotten around to going in a few years. Last concert was Halsey and Imagine Dragons two years ago.

Keep learning. New languages, new cultures, new views. No one is the same, the world is different for every one and I can never get enough.

This is the first part of the answer to the ask meme you sent me a few days ago. I think I mentioned in the tags for the thing that it would be kind of difficult to do the word search things.

Basically? Because I’m on a phone and type my works using my right thumb and my left forefinger most of the time, and to my technology-inept knowledge there isn’t a way to ctrl-f in Apple notes.

So I spent a while trying to reread through works looking for these words myself before finding them in the more recent one. (The post GOTW fic.)

I’m kind of wondering what kind of person I am to not mention knives or dreams that frequently, but it’s possible because I was skimming that I missed it in the young monks fic.

(And come to think of it, I bet there’s both in the Jedha Threesome fic but I didn’t think to check there and I hope you forgive me for not reading through 30k of fic on a whim just on the off chance Chirrut smiles like a knife because Threesome!Chirrut is a little bit mean and Baze tones him down, and Bodhi’s probably still questioning if he’s having his brain chewed on and turned to mush by Bor Gullet. That’s my guess anyway even without a passage to context.)

So.

For the first one.

I think even in my first works more than a year ago I was fond of the headcanon that Baze and Chirrut share personal grooming in the mornings for the delight of it. Not because Chirrut is unable to care for himself, mind you, but because it grounds and comforts them both and gives an outlet to banter about and pretend about.

Baze usually shaves Chirrut and trims his hair if he needs it. (With all the lovely intimate trust implied by the mental image of him holding a nice cutthroat razor to Chirrut’s neck and Chirrut not minding at all because he knows for a fact his hands will be absolutely steady.)

And Baze’s hair is usually wrapped by Chirrut in the morning and he picks through any tangles with his fingers instead of with a comb, and oils the ends so they don’t dry out.

Taken from personal experience because I haven’t used a brush in years. (The short version on that is it makes me tangle worse and I’m lucky not to have my brother’s hair, which is actually textured.)

Baze isn’t exactly curly like me and probably doesn’t wash as frequently if the implications of the book are there/this is not a space American city and it’s very old/skuun’s working headcanon doesn’t have a tub in the ‘fresher and assumes communal bathing, and not on a daily basis because water shortages and culture among other things. But. he definitely has some volume going on.

And this particular one I think I stared at Nan’s Mer!Bazes for too long on because this particular Baze has very long sexy hair just for fun. It’s wrapped up like a skein of yarn in the warrior horn, technically.

This personal grooming headcanon habit has been broken because of Saw Gerrera and book events. Saw often seems to have the two of them separated and makes far less use of Chirrut, and my working read of the entire novel is that it takes place in an awkward, tense dry spot of tension in their relationship.

Baze has been wrapping his own hair. And Chirrut’s been shaving himself because Baze is often gone and with the rebel fighters.

A return to their old habits is a physical comfort. Simultaneously, Chirrut undoing Baze’s hair is something intimate, and only for them.

…Essentially it’s a mix of nostalgia and relief and foreplay if I can pull it off right. I’m hoping, anyway.

The dreams bit kind of showed up and was one of those moments where I realized in the middle of writing “Ah. Okay. So this Chirrut is going to be a bit force sensitive.”

Sometimes it works like that, I mean. I write and find out which take is going on as I’m doing it. (It’s pretty much how I found out the Jedha Threesome version of Cassian is a sex-repulsed biromantic Ace.)

It’s something where you kind of pause for a second, think about it, and realize it works with the fic so you roll with it and build on it? (“Well he hangs with a robot and makes eyes at both Jyn and Bodhi…? Yeah. Okay.” And then it snowballs into sex-as-connection and character foiling between him and Bodhi and whatever…)

Usually I favor non-sensitive Chirruts because it underlines the element of faith in what he believes. Same reason I prefer force sensitive or slightly sensitive Bazes—because it underscores his atheism and his persistence in his belief of disbelief.

Something fundamentally unfair has to happen in order to shake Baze’s faith, and there can be a few different ways you can take it. Fandom seems to agree on that much.

This particular one seems to be heading for “the Empire hurt Chirrut badly, therefore the Force is dead to me, because how could it allow such evil to happen to someone so devoted to it?” Classic Problem Of Pain. But even in disbelief, there’s the interview line from Rucka about how nothing they do surprises one another anymore.

So…given this…

Baze has to have had experiences with the Force.

It would be extremely difficult for him not to have, in his past profession. Especially if you’re working with a sensitive Chirrut.

So he has seen and felt the presence of things that are inexplicable. Even in refusal of the Force, he has the awareness that things are possible which are beyond his expectations. Things even Chirrut would find difficult to explain. If he tried to explain at all. (He probably wouldn’t. Said experiences would just be things that are, as the Force is. The Force To Chirrut is just a state of Being. A fact. A verb.)

It’s a fact in many faiths that for the existence of every miracle, you will have a person who is unmoved by it, or who refuses to be moved by it. At the very least, a person who resists the wonder.

Baze’s disbelief has to have the same kind of active “being” to it, solidified by his active will as the Force’s passive state of verb-existence. Like Resistance. Or inertia.

And yet…Chirrut has had Dreams.

Chirrut sees things that can’t be seen, can’t be combatted, and so there has to be that dim sense that his dreams might overwhelm Baze’s resolved will. A fear almost, since Baze’s identity is in part wrapped up in his very refusal to believe. Because in this case, to believe is to accept that these terrible things that happened to things and people he loved, these things that are still happening and the worse which may (read: does) happen are all fine. And they are NOT fine. Because this is a man who wants to actively punish anything that hurts the things he loves.

He’s very aware of the possibility of being overwhelmed. And he’s also afraid of what it costs if he’s overwhelmed and brought back to trusting in the Force.

All miracles are inherently dangerous.
