WIP Wednesday (10/11) | Mafia Front Restaurant AU (Part 31)

Despite the sketchy… everything, the spaghetti is delicious. Some of the best Andrew’s ever had, which sort of pisses him off. He takes the last piece of bread and rips a piece off before putting it back. He uses it as a vehicle to get the rest of the sauce into his mouth, then he’s done. The others have been done for a few minutes, now each of them is sitting on their phones.

“You all can go ahead, I’ll stick around and wait for the waiter to show up again.” Andrew says. 

Nicky raises a brow. “Are you sure?” 

“Yeah. Go on. I’ll catch up in a minute.” Andrew stands to let Aaron out of the booth and sits back down. “The museum is next, right?”

“Yeah, we won’t go too far though.” Nicky says, then he gets his camera out. “I wanted to get more photos of the cathedral, so we can do that.”

Andrew gives a thumbs up and watches the two of them exit. He pulls the shade back to look out and, after they’ve safely crossed the street, he glances towards the kitchen door. He wonders just how long the waiter will stay back there. Andrew takes the last breadstick and pulls another small piece of it off. After he finishes it, there’s still no sign of the waiter. Andrew gets his phone out and plays a round of his favorite puzzle game. And still, he’s alone.

Andrew clears his throat, “Oh, falscher Kellner? Are you still here?”
