Remember, Mon was having bad period cramps when Evil Grandmother pays a visit and spew all that bullshit that hit at all of her insecurities. While Sam had a terrible day at the office with Kirk and then coming home to an empty house. (Her tone getting more worried and scared as she’s calling out for her love is just 😭😭)

I can imagine the hopelessness they felt. Sam was holding on so tightly to Mon’s hand, as if she’s willing the world not to take Mon from her. And then Mon also clings so tightly to Sam when they hugged, not willing to let go of her love. At that point it’s really them against the world.

And Sam, oh poor Sam. Keep apologising for things that is not her fault. I could imagine what is running through her head then and all the unspoken words with each apologies.

“I’m sorry, for being a coward”.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t fight grandma more”

“I’m sorry, that I have this mess of a family and you got involved in it simply because you love me”

It’s such a beautiful heartbreaking scene. And if based on the previews, it’ll be more heartbreaking next episode and I’m not ready for it.
