I’m gonna go into this in a little more context this time round because I’ve gotten this question a couple of times now, and am more than happy to share my thoughts. just a disclaimer that the theory I’m going to share, is what I personally believe happened, but is not rock solid proof, but does make a lot of sense. You’re all free to make up your own mind about this, open to discussion, but no one be hateful pls.

This post by caralara really opened my eyes and thoughts to what could’ve gone down. I seriously think it’s a possibility, and the timeline matches up, and at the time… we all really believed that we were coming super close to a coming out. Harry was becoming more flamboyant, ran with the rainbow flag, “not that important”, “don’t knock it til ya try it”, RBB and SBB and the countdown of bears “coming out of hibernation”, Belfast, the big gay war, everything. 2015 was a wild year, as we all know, and Larry were able to communicate to each other more publicly again, and yeah. We were optimistic.

That post I linked is in no way blaming zayn, like, the man needed to do what he needed to do. But it’s a major play into the brand of One Direction and having a coming out after zayn leaving is one scandal after another. It blew up too big, and PR wouldn’t have been able to handle it. They believed they’d lose a lot of the fanbase, and everything would’ve looked super chaotic and messy if it did happen. It was truly a spanner in the works of the master plan. If the boys had signed on again, there were probably some promises of coming out, too.

But I do think that Harry was meant to come out as bisexual (regardless of what his sexuality genuinely is, but it’s the safest bet for management not outing his stunts while the band is still together, and he genuinely could be bi), and the best way to make sure Harry can come out but not give Larry fans more ammo was setting louis up with a kid. Party Boy Louis™️ as we called him. They couldn’t possibly be together, even though Harry wasn’t straight. Ya know?

So anyway, I think the post I linked explains it all and I think, if this is what went down, it definitely caused a big rift between Harry and louis and zayn and that’s why louis wouldn’t forgive him for so long and said they weren’t ready to talk about what happened etc. Idk, to me, the tension there seemed more than just about how much louis loved 1d.

Anyway, moving on to your question about attempted coming outs, I think Harry is somewhat out. He’s been very ambiguous about his sexuality, and it’s a smart move. The whole Xarry thing was a good example of this (apart from the fact harries like to pretend 1d never existed so they won’t even look into it). It keeps his fanbase onboard with believing that he’ll fall in love with them because he’s never said he’s not into their gender. It’s a standard PR move, but easier to move into a full coming out and a label if he so chooses to. Before they do that though, they are genuinely going to have to start seeding a stunt with someone who does not identify as female, otherwise people are just gonna keep saying he’s queerbaiting. A lot of people already do believe that, and he’s lost fans from it. But, they’ll probably believe that being publicly with a man would be the stunt. So I guess either way he’s gonna lose, but it’s a bit safer it is the way now. I do see a proper coming out for him sometime in the future, whether or not he’ll label it, something more concrete will happen. But I think he’ll be out solo, before he’s out with louis. He’s halfway there.

Louis hasn’t really attempted a coming out at all. I think he’s happy just doing what he’s doing, but is open to coming out when the time is right, and I think he’ll only do it with Harry. I don’t think he’d come out solo. He doesn’t have the brand for it, and with a smaller fanbase (and the chaos we’ve seen of Louies vouching for his straightness and bbg being real) he’s gonna lose some fans and it’s gonna impact him a lot more than Harry, and bbg does affect this too.

If louis does come out, I don’t think it means necessarily that there will be an “end” to bbg, per se. Already we’ve seen less and less of that kid, apart from like 10 mins of louis’ doc and our annual Christmas family photo and a couple of tweets, it’s not shoved down our throats like it once was. You know why? Because bbg doesn’t serve its purpose anymore.

Louis doesn’t get that much press. He’s doing well, but if Harry had a kid, the press would neeeever shut up about it, even 8 years down the line. But bbg and F and B aren’t in the public eye anymore, and barely any of the GP would even know Louis had a kid by now. I was talking to a friend not in the industry about Louis the other day, and they were like “oh! I don’t know him. What’s the name of the one with the kid?” And I was like “… Zayn?” And they were like “Yeah!” Soooooo yeah. Bbg doesn’t get press, it doesn’t boost louis’ publicity, it just… doesn’t have a purpose anymore. And thank god it’s not shoved down our throats all the time still, but it’s also a bit of a backup plan. It’s sitting there, so if they need publicity of Louis being with his kid at his concert or something like that, it’ll make some headlines. It’ll also keep him straight when need be, and probably when Harry comes out we’ll see some kid content.

I’ve kind of weirdly come to terms recently with the fact that we might never see an end to bbg. It might just continue to slowly disappear. Even when Louis/Larry come out, he can just say he didn’t figure out his sexuality til later. That’s a totally valid thing and will be widely accepted as a reason for having a kid, and not because your management and PR team are filthy and set you up with one.

Anyway, I think S*mon felt really bad about bbg being extended after the shit show that was 2015, and that’s why he gave louis all those opportunities to get extra money and publicity on X Factor etc., and to maybe bribe him a bit to not out the stunts or take things into his own hands (like when he went holding hands with his female friend that he absolutely was not meant to do to get rid of relationship rumours with B and closer ties to bbg). That’s the only reason I can think of them acting like buddies now.

So yeah. Harry will come out first, then louis and Harry hanging out seeding etc. will happen, and then they’ll very veeeery slowly come out together. Unless the other shoe drops and they out S*mon and his cowards first, and lose all their money in a court case. We’ll wait and see.

Anyway sorry if this is a bit of an all over the shop ramble, I’m slightly hungover. But we need to just keep our eyes peeled. Things will happen slowly, but surely.

ok, here we go!

so. once upon a time way back in october 2013 zayn debuted a new tattoo of a tiger on his arm. at the time it seemed like just another tattoo in a quickly growing long list of (random) tattoos, and went by relatively untalked about among fandom (at least afaik) for a couple of years. but THEN, in early 2016 zayn followed that tattoo up with the addition of the full title of his m.o.m. album spelled out around the tiger...

seems normal, right?

first off, notice how the tiger’s tail is shaped suspiciously like an L?

well, that’s not all that’s gay i mean odd or interesting about this tattoo lol...some have also noticed that the muscles of the tiger’s back quite remarkably appear to resemble the muscles of a certain boy whose name also starts with L 

(and no i’m not talking about louis lol)

but here’s where shit really gets real because guess what? you may have noticed that the letters of the ‘mine’ part are kind of shuffled in an odd/not really consecutive order to spell out the word mine in a way that’s clearly or easily readable...that’s because zayn’s extra ass arranged it specifically so that only the i, e, and m, are all directly around the L-shaped tiger tail, while the n is just off to the side like a lonely forgotten reject

by now you might be saying to yourself okay, well that’s not really all that significant to liam, and the L could just be a coincidence/not really mean anything, couldn’t it?

wrong again!

because once more, zayn ‘i live to be as extra as humanly possible about my love for liam james payne because i don’t know any other way to live’ malik made sure to put a little tail/extra line on the side of the letter ‘e’ to make it interchangeable with an upside down letter ‘a.’ 

now again you might be thinking i don’t know if that’s really intentional or all that meaningful. but look closely. 

there is clearly an additional connected piece on that e that cannot be explained away or mistaken for just a weird blot of ink. it’s not just an error on the part of the tattoo artist (if it was i’m sure zayn would have had it fixed by now given that he’s had that tat for over 4 years at this point) and there’s also no letter ‘a’ in ‘mind of mine.’ 

so why is it there? and why does it just so happen to be right next to the i, the m, and the L-shaped tiger tail. why did zayn choose to arrange the letters of the word ‘mine’ in such a weird order instead of a more normal/easier to read format like the rest of the album title? and why did he choose put those exact letters all near each other? because it’s intentional. and because it’s meant to have a very particular double meaning.

if he was going for just a random order he could’ve put those letters anywhere. but he didn’t. and more than that he went out of his way to make sure that that additional piece on the e was added and distinct so that it could very clearly double as an (unnecessary) a. 

there’s no way you can argue that all of those things are just coincidence or that the random letter ‘a’ means absolutely nothing lol. that tattoo was clearly meant as both an homage to the album and to liam (who the album is largely believed to be about lol). and the fact that the muscles seem to match quite closely to liam’s is a nice added bonus that just helps confirm that imo. (plus there’s also the lovely little tidbit of knowledge that the tattoo is positioned in such a way that whenever zayn wears short-sleeve shirts the ‘Liam’ part is the only part clearly on display 😏😏😏)

BUT GUESS WHAT??

THAT IS NOT EVEN WHERE ZAYN’S TATTOO DEDICATIONS ENDDDD

never mind that he already had all of us ziams sobbing ourselves to death and morphing into withered soulless husks over this tattoo after he debuted the full thing in 2016, but there’s so! many! more!

boy’s body is literally a giant ass open love letter to liam and i am NOT OKAY. (have i mentioned i hate these extra ass romantic saps with every fiber of my being? no? well i do. and you’re about to find out all the reasons why)

bonus - it’s not a tattoo but: zayn’s nose piercing. which along with the mandala wrist tat is literally a desi bride declaration of marriage; fun fact - tan france, a gay married british-pakistani tv personality who is part of the queer eye crew also has a mandala tat on his left hand that some have speculated may also be to symbolize his dedication to his husband)

anyway there are more tattoos of zayn’s that seem to also be related to liam (though more loosely imo) but this post is already beyonddd long enough so i figured it’s best to just stick to the main ones/most obvious ones here lol 

(side note: liam also has tattoos that are clearly dedicated to zayn/his and zayn’s relationship as well, but that’s for another post and also if my recall is correct i think zayn might actually have more?? well that we know of anyway lol)

(side note 2.0: one other thing that adds to the theory of the m.o.m. tiger tattoo being a dedication to liam/liam’s name, besides the obvious lettering thing described above, is that zayn is known to have a thing for tattooing the names of his closest loved ones on his body. the only person in his immediate family whose name he doesn’t appear to have tattooed on him is trisha’s and i’d be willing to bet that’s either because she specifically asked him not to, or he does have one but it’s just in a very hidden place. but we know that he has his father’s name, grandfather’s name, and all of his sister’s names tattooed on him so when you combine that with the weird lettering of the m.o.m. tiger tat and the fact that the album was very likely about liam/closely followed the story of the beginning of his relationship with liam, it becomes even less plausible imo that that tattoo is meant to be about anything else but liam. ain’t science grand?)

(side note 3.0: zayn’s whole left arm/left sleeve of tats seems to be specifically reserved for tattoos dedicated to liam and/or related/connected to liam’s own tattoos, and there’s a couple of good posts here - x, x, x, x - that go through some of the more specific parallels between their tattoos and how certain ones seem to mirror or directly pair with each other’s)

lastly, to your final question, i do believe that they are still together currently, especially considering this most recent soft outing/confirmation from one of zayn’s songwriters (who is also not the first to do that either btw lol) but that is not the only reason - see my post here for some of the biggest reasons why i believe ziam remains real and strong :)

Alright soooo, we all know how Louis and Harry met so I won’t go THAT back in time but I’ll start at 2010 where they where already formed as a band. My timeline will be a little different than most you’ve seen. In all honesty, it’s a lazier version but still somewhat informative so bare with me or whatevs.

These are MY outlook and opinions on there relationship so don’t hate because I got time today, tomorrow matter of fact, everyday.

But anyways chile,

2010 and 2011 - So these 2 years is a year I truly believe was the “puppy love faze.” I say this because in my opinion they seemed to like each other (Especially Louis *cough cough*) but didn’t really talk about those fellings to one another just yet due to the fact that they MIGHT have been confused on those feelings they had for one another. I also believe that this was the year one of them made a move (verbally or physically.) By this I mean that either Harry or Louis confronted the other individual first (ex: Louis confronts Harry first about his feelings or vise versa.) and told them how they truly felt. I can’t really say what year I believe that was (could have been 2010 or 2011) but for sure, one of them confronted the other about how they felt first. In my opinion, it resulted well because the other individual returned those feelings to. I also believe that towards the end of 2011 they most likely started getting even more comfortable around one another in a sense that they shared “single beds” and also went on a trip with no other band mates but themselves and shared a tent. I could say clothes but all of the band mates shared clothes (in the early days) so that’s not really proof in my opinion. When they started wearing the same clothes when the band to a hiatus (Louis and Harry) that’s proof for sure but when they shared clothes and was still in the band I can’t really consider that proof. (Sorry not sorry) This was also the year Eleanor came into the picture.

** Random little rant/input about Eleanor and Louis “relationship.”

* Okay so there relationship confuses me it’s like... you can only fake a relationship for so long until you explode you know what I mean? So I’m questioning why Louis still drags her along with him if the relationship is “fake.” His contract is over and he publicly followed Harry so like there’s literally no reason for him to associate with one of his “beards” anymore. But what I honestly think is that Eleanor is lowkey his dog sitter like y’all think about it she’s ALWAYS with his dogs like what if she just babysits them that’s all?! Lol I know I sound mad crazy but like for real! Another thing to is I totally understand that you don’t have to get married to someone to prove your love to them but like... he shows more affection to Harry more than his actual “girlfriend” and he hasn’t at least proposed to her. I also heard that they have little tattoos on there hand that says the first letter of there name. (L and E) but idk she still associates herself with his sisters to so like idek she confuses me a bunch because it’s like I know Larry is real but where does El fit in ya know?

2012 - By this time I believe they where dating and beyond comfortable in there relationship nobody can tell me otherwise lol. 2012 was the LOUDEST year ya feel? (Besides 2018) in 2012 there where MANY proofs pertaining to there relationship I won’t name them all because if your a Larry you should know by now every “Larry moment” from A - Z without needing it written down. 😆 Anyways love, what made me become a Larry was this year alone (2012.) Their would be videos of Louis touching Harry or vise versa. Or there would be videos of Louis getting jealous of something Harry did or said or Harry getting jealous by something Louis did or said. I believe this year was there prime year of their relationship in a sense that they where so open with it and not closeted because they weren’t ridiculed by the whole world just yet. Even though Eleanor was in the picture by then, and Harry was supposedly dating Taylor, Louis and Harry bond was beyond unbreakable around this time. In my eyes they where head over heels in love with one another. (Sounds corny but it’s true honestly.) I believe that Taylor and Harry had a thing. It most definitely wasn’t anything super serious but it still was a little “fling” I should put it. I say this because when they would ask Louis about how he felt about “Haylor” he would get this little attitude in a way that anyone in relationship would react. He said in one interview; (can’t remember what the interviewer was called) “I’m happy that there good friends.... if that.” He said the last part not so loud but babygirl thank the lord for subtitles. Why would Louis react like that if Harry was just his “friend” ? No one else in the group seemed bothered by Harry and Taylor little “fling” or any of Harry’s other little “flings” but Louis... why? Because Harry at the time, was Louis man babygirl periodddd.

I believe that they had a open relationship where they where allowed to date whomever as long as it wasn’t something long term or serious. I say this because most of the little “flings” or relationships Harry had never lasted past a year... + we all know for a fact that Harry didn’t date all those girls the media said he did. Anyways back to there open relationship. It would make the most sense why Harry could have a little “fling” as well as Louis and there relationship stayed somewhat neutral. I know it might sound crazy but it could be true. Doing that in any relationship is extremely toxic but I believe it’s something they did. I’m not considering El as part of Lou’s “relationship” because idek what Louis considers her tbsfr sis) anyways love, it would honestly explain why Harry got broken - hearted when Louis got Brianna pregnant. For example that one concert when he said “Here in One Direction we love love, we usually just spread it all around.” And Louis told Liam and Niall that he thinks Harry is f’ing with him. Why would Harry say that if he didn’t feel some type of way about Louis becoming a dad? Why would Louis respond in such way if what Harry said wasn’t directed to him? I’m going to get hate for this to but Freddie is Louis child sis. I don’t think that Louis would go as far to fake a child tbh. (I could be wrong) But on a side note, It’s so disrespectful when people say that Freddie isn’t his kid when Freddie little adorable self looks exactly like Louis. Some people in this fandom (sometimes) have a tendency to deny every relationship the boys are in and say “management formed it!” I literally never seen a relationship that Harry or Louis has been in where the fandom accepted it and admitted that it was real. (Besides the relationship between Louis and Harry) it’s always “FAKE” or “FLUKEY” or “ARRANGED” even when Harry said my “ex” in one of his interviews (referring to Camile) Some Larries & Harries where so quick to say; “HE WAS FORCED TO SAY THAT I PROMISE YOU HE NEVER DATED CAMILE AHHHHH.” Like love chill out. I’m not even trying to be rude but someone had to say it. 🤷🏾‍♀️

2013 - I consider this the first downfall of there relationship in a sense. This was a time where I feel like there relationship was sort of rocky. Around this time management restricted the boys (Louis and Harry) to not really “touch” or socialize with each other like they did before. I believe management did this in hopes to kill the “Larry Stylinson “rumor”.... but we all know that if a rumor lasts for more than 10 years ... love that ain’t a rumor no more that’s a FACT. Anyway, by management doing this it got Louis and Harry so used to ignoring each other in a way and being very cautious to what they did or said. We all know that both of these gentlemen are both very private individuals so I believe that they themselves didn’t really like the fact that people knew about their relationship and was constantly talking about it + management making them hide there relationship didn’t make the situation any better. It seemed to me that this had a big toll on both of them equally. If you watch Larry proofs (2012-2013) there’s most definitely still proof there (2013) but it’s not as straight forward as it was 2012 it’s more hidden emotions or hidden gestures. (There where very few moments (in 2013) where there gestures between one another was out there) Another thing I have to say to is Zayn was so LOUD lol. What I mean by that is that he would ALWAYS BE SO OBVIOUS when he saw Louis or Harry flirting with each other or when they where mad at one another. He would always look back and forth between the two or nudge them if they did or said something naughty to one another (he would mostly do that with Louis)

2014 - 2014 was a year where they (Louis and Harry) officially became “pros” at ignoring one another. They where so used to doing what management told them to do that having to act a certain way around one another for sure had a big toll and them and the relationship as a whole. To many people it looked like they “hated” one another but to me that’s not the case. All the boys in the band (not just Louis and Harry) where used as muppets. The media and management controlled them. When you get famous, you have no control of you anymore in all honesty. People paint/make you the way THEY want and that’s what happened to Louis and Harry but instead it was with management. I believe 2014-2015 they argued a bunch. Not to the point where it became physical, but to the extent of some harsh words getting thrown here and there so with the fighting it cut ties between them even more. (Harry ain’t sing sweet creature for nothing)

2015 - Same thing as 2014. By this time Zayn has left the group which had a big toll on all of them but for sure had a bigger toll on Harry. Around this time to, Louis announced he’s going to be a dad. I know for a fact Harry was somewhat hurt at the fact that Louis got a girl pregnant (like I mentioned above) so he had a little “fling” with Kendall and MAYBE another girl or 2, to get his mind off Louis. To me though there relationship seemed like the type that they broke up then got back together... multiple times. Because around November of 2015, Louis and Harry went on a 14 hour plane ride and when Louis landed he for one looked mad happy and not tired and Harry plaid shirt was more ripped I believe. Later on the boys when on a talk show where the host asked if any of the boys “did it” on a airplane. Louis turned his board proudly saying “I HAVE.” Harry was hesitant but he said he has to. What a coincidence that, that interview was 2 weeks after the plane incident between Lou and H. I am fully aware that TV shows are always pre -recorded but for a fact that interview was AFTER the plane incident (Nov. 11 when the pictures leaked of H and L). So like I said before there relationship seemed like an on and off thing which can be draining most definitely.

2016 - By then, the boys agreed to take a “break” from the group. Harry was working on his album and his upcoming movie “Dunkirk” which both got released in 2017. I believe this year wasn’t really loud (I WILL NOT consider Harry supporting Lou when his mother passed away as proof because that’s beyond disrespectful he was being there for him through one of his toughest times and to use that as “proof” is very impertinent. ) There was some photos of Louis sleeping in Harry bed around but that’s all I could find for any “proofs. correct me if I am way wrong.

2017 - 2017 was the year Harry was with Camile (Around June I believe the started dating) many fans didn’t know due to the fact that they where very private about it so it’s almost like that relationship never existed lol. They dated for exactly a year or so but I believe they broke up because of Harry heart feeling for someone else... his little baby Louis. Some of the songs in his album (Harry’s) was based on relationships especially sweet creature. Every time I hear that song, I literally say to myself he should have just named it “Louis Tomlinson I miss you so I wrote a song for you kk bye.” Around this time I don’t think they where talking in “that way” (couple way) due to the fact that Harry was being busy touring while also being with Camile and overall just always doing something around the clock. (As well as Louis.) When asked if sweet creature was about Louis, Harry stuttered like crazy. It was a personal question but it for sure caught him by surprise because he knew it was and didn’t really know how to get around that question without stuttering like crazy first. Also he didn’t really make sense with what he said. In the beginning he mentioned how he didn’t really want to tell a listener what or who the song is about and for them to think whatever they’d like but in the end Harry said; “I would lean towards no... But it’s like I thought you didn’t want to tell people listening to the song what to think of it... hmmmm 🤔

2018 - This to me was the second loudest year (Besides 2012) Louis was a judge in X-factor and Harry was touring again. I believe this was the time where they rekindled there relationship again (L and H) because to me Harry seemed more happy and more open with himself. There where also photos of Louis watching his little boo thang (Harry) at his concert. Harry would sing and look up at someone while smiling. Also when the girl said “Looks like THEY made it.” Harry just smirked because the girl done changed the lyrics (sorry I don’t know her name don’t come at me lollll) I believe that was the same day Louis was there watching H. Also, how they where both together with Nick that one day:) (2018 was so loud fax no printer) anyways love, in my opinion Louis looked happy to and more vibrant because he knew that him and H where together again. There was video proof of L struggling to sit down while he was getting in the car with Simon also he had a pillow for his X-Factor chair 👀 I ain’t saying Harry did some but he had his man struggling to sit the next day so idkkkkkkkkkk. ☕️

2019 - The only proof that I can recall is Harry taking that photo of Lou for his birthday. Lou and H are very private but to me it seemed like their relationship was still going strong around this time and that they just where vibing.

2020 - Biggest proof pertaining to Larry 2020 would have to be that interview in January that Louis did where he is at home and is literally soooo distracted by whoever is infront of him (*cough cough Harry sis.) He was practically having an out of body experience, his gaze hyper fixated on his phone’s screen, the rest of the room melting away in the heat that seemed to be consuming Zayn.

And the cause for Zayn’s suffocation? The brown eyed devil sitting across the room.

Liam was fucking evil, Zayn decided. That innocent façade was just that, a façade. Liam was evil incarnate, and Zayn had the proof right there on his screen—a screen he was trying valiantly not to take his eyes off of, while also trying to make sure nobody else saw it. Because if the others saw it? Well, then they’d find out just how decidedly not innocent Liamfucking Payne was, and while that seemingly had its perks, there’s no fucking way Zayn wanted the other boys to see just how dirty Liam was.

Zayn felt his breath choke its way out of his lungs, and four pairs of eyes turned to look at him. Three were concerned, but Liam wasfucking smirking at him. Zayn hated him a little.

“You okay?” Louis asked. Zayn shifted again, trying desperately to will away his flushed cheeks and his fucking hard on. Liam was a Goddammned bastard.

“Yeah, yeah. ‘m good, just, uh…swallowed wrong.” Liam let out a snort from his place across the room, and suddenly the double meaning of Zayn’s words made itself apparent. He shot a glare Liam’s way as everyone turned back to the movie. Liam only smiled in return.

He didn’t date anyone until C*roline (sorry, I make one exception for censoring names and that’s for child groomers) in like, November 2011, there were jokes about him liking Madison, the girl from WMYB but that wouldn’t be until August anyway. Articles about various 1D members dating or hooking up with fans were run of the mill, but that was for all of them. Cher Lloyd got linked to literally every member except Louis, and that’s because he had a girlfriend. Harry was seen as flirty and fans joked around about his unfortunate pussygate moment, but clearly, he brought that on himself, and it was after X Factor anyway

The only possible “Harry is a lothario” push she could be talking about is that jokey video where Harry is seen as having overlapping dates with all the girls at boot camp, but it’s obviously tongue in cheek, it finishes with Harry going on a date with Wagner, a 50 something year old Portuguese (?) man. None of the other boys had significant others at the beginning. She says “switching 1Direction to One Direction” to seem knowledgeable, it’s hilarious. One Direction’s twitter account was created on October 29th 2010 and it was already stylized “OneDirection,” this is just a “the more you know” bullet point she learned that she decided to throw in there to get more credibility. Anyone that’s been a fan for long already knew this, it was stated as a fact in one of their books, but don’t ask me which one now cuz it’s been 7 years. This is equal parts self centered, arrogant, delusional, and wrong. 1D’s team did a ton of things to get new fans and it succeeded largely at it. 1D was one of the largest bands in terms of fanbase in the world. It got away with selling millions upon millions of records and selling out stadiums without getting huge songs. To this day a vast majority of the general public only knows 2 or 3 One Direction songs (WMYB, SOML, some will know Drag Me Down). You were lied about the band getting back together. One by one they have admitted to it, even if not in so many words. First Zayn said he didn’t even like being in 1D ever. Then Harry refused to ever confirm the band would get back together. You had Niall, Liam, and Louis preaching 18 months/2 years, but that soon changed. Niall got tired of being asked a few months into his promo in 2017, said “idk, man, idk! someday!” and asked not to be asked again. Okay can i just.. like even tho i’m absolutely positive the boys went through shit, it doesn’t change the fact that zayn up and left them to deal with the bullshit without him and it doesn’t change the things he’s said and done - and although I’m sure it came from a place of hurt and frustration and all that, that still doesn’t make it right. I was heartbroken for him when he left, thinking of how he must feel, but i’ve realized he plays the role of a victim a bit too well..

i mean the thing is we don’t know what really happened behind the scenes so personally i don’t blame zayn or any of the other boys. i just think it was a shitty situation overall cause ALL of them were overworked and it was a high stress environment that just culminated to zayn leaving. like i think in hindsight there were clues to zayn leaving him not attending 1D orlando etc. also the widely believed theory (and i also believe this tbh) that he was originally supposed to leave after otra dubai but then things happened bts that led to him just leaving earlier than planned which i think is probably why things soured between him and the other boys. not to mention, how harry wasn’t even interacting with him the entire otra which was also another red flag that people (including me) just ignored.

most importantly, i also think people are forgetting the fact that zayn situation as the only poc in the band was also really horrendous. their team basically erased his identity and religion and even literally pretended that his dad (who is happily married to his mom btw) did not exist. aka filling the “oh look a poc with a single mom stereotype” even if it’s not even true? not to mention, that i think zayn’s creativity wise leaned more towards r&b which isn’t a match to 1D’s sound so that was probably another factor. his new solo team exploiting the ‘ot4 vs zayn’ narrative is a choice and strategy they decided to go with specially in the beginning to distance zayn from “1D”. to have his own brand and recognition of being a solo artist. i mean it sucks and i’m sure the other boys were also very hurt but it’s literally a marketing tactic like this is the best way to create buzz and headlines so i mean i get why people are still mad about it but also this is business and that is literally why pillowtalk became #1 immediately.

let's talk zouis, honestly though it's frustrating seeing people say zouis is dead or this and that. when from what they've both said it seems they are on good terms again. perhaps not on the level of friendship they once were, but there's clearly still love there. i doubt we'll see them publicly hanging out for awhile, but i'm sure they maintain some level of contact especially after the past year louis has had. idk hopefully this isn't all wishful thinking on my part.

I can assure you you’re not the only person who shares that thought, love. I, alongside many other Zouies, think just that; Zouis’ relationship is still intact, even if its not presented for all of us to see. Which is fair, since its not our relationship after all; its theirs. There will always be someone with a negative opinion on Zouis, so its inevitable you’ll see people convinced Zayn and Louis have no interest in reconnecting, even now. Those people have never and will never care for the relationship Zayn and Louis have, so OF COURSE they want to believe they’re over. Their mind’s made up already. And that’s fine, I cant be bothered to worry about them.

Luckily, for the those of us who remain optimistic about Zouis, they themselves give us all the reassurance we need. The twitter fight was one, passing incident; Even the best of friends and the closest of families fight sometimes, but people we love can always be forgiven, if you trust they’ve learned from mistake. I can only speak for myself, but I saw the remorse in Zayn’s actions not too far after that happened. Beyond the heat of the moment, Zayn has shown he definitely wants to work things out with Louis and that the love on Zayn’s end wasn’t done for.

I mean, between congratulating the boys on DMD,

favoriting very obvious Zouis fanart,

reassuring fans he was not intentionally removing his Bus 1 tattoo,

favoriting the photo of Louis and Freddie,

then spoke out firsthand as to why he did that,

And of course, reaching out to give Lou his condolences about Jay.

If people really question Zayn’s effort to right his wrongs after all this, then there’s simply no getting through to them.

Louis has had a hard time lately, and had to get over a lot of emotional hurdles, im sure. But when it felt right for him, and when he needed the reassurance he could reach back out to Zayn, he did so in private.

Which is absolutely understandable and pretty much expected. I gladly accepted this information secondhand, because they needed to take the interaction at their own pace. Time has gone on and Louis has now publicly addressed him reconnecting with Zayn again in multiple interviews, which I linked to another post here. As well as complimenting Pillowtalk and explaining how they’re working through issues of the past.

Though neither have spoken up or shown any new interactions lately, it would be absolute stupid to see all of this stuff I listed above and still say Zouis is over. It’s clearly not. I trust they know how to navigate the rebuilding of their friendship now that they have a mutual means of communication, so I’m just going to trust that they’ll speak up when it feels right. And they’ll meet up when the opportunity strikes. Zouis is anything but over, don’t pay the naysayers any mind. Zouis will come back when they’re meant to. Stay positive, babes!
