DON’T FALL IN LOVE If you can, try hard, not to fall in love. Falling hurts. If you can, try hard, to fly into love instead. Open your wings and soar, and let the feelings carry you on a cloud to the highest of heights, as they so very much should. But never forget, you have those wings to keep you up. Never allow anyone to clip them, or render them useless and broken. If you can, try hard, not to fall in love sweet one… You can fly into love, that’s your power. And you can fly out again, if you need to. Without ever falling anywhere. ❤️ Donna Ashworth From ‘I Wish I Knew’ Art by Amanda Cass #amandacassart #love #lovepoetry #lovepoem #fallinginlove #lovequotes #art (at Divorce Mediations) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cet68D7rS4O/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

When someone you love chooses to leave your life, learn to ask yourself:
What beauty may I create in the time I now possess?
What meaning may I create in the space I now inhabit?
What music may I compose in the silence I now may embrace?
And what words may I write in the pages that lie before me?
For your blessings lie in your present and your future, not in your past.

LOOK UP
When someone so very full of light leaves,
your world feels dark, I know.
But that light they shone,
that light of theirs, is not out.
It doesn’t die.
It moves.
As though the stars themselves plucked it from earth and placed it proudly amongst their constellations to shine alongside them forevermore, bringing hope and guidance to the entire planet.
So when that darkness comes for you…
when that light leaves your world,
I guess what I’m trying to say is,
look up, my friends,
look up.

I would love to take this opportunity to thank everyone who responded to my post yesterday. I cannot quite yet put into words how it feels to be so very supported. You have my gratitude. I am so very very grateful x

YOU’RE THE GHOST
There’s a part of the grieving process,
where your soul kind of leaves your body too.
As though it’s off searching for the one you lost,
somewhere in the ether.
You walk around,
doing all the right things,
putting one foot in front of the other,
living,
but it’s really as though you’re the ghost.
Perhaps you are.
Perhaps your soul searches,
until you find the one you miss,
and they tell you to go back and live.
So, when that numbness passes brave one,
maybe it’s time to do what you are told,
go back and live,
twice as hard.
You don’t belong there in the ether,
nor do you need to search for the one you lost,
they find you.
And when they do, you’ll feel it.

How do I live without you?
Oh my love I do not.
You are with me from the moment I open my eyes until they close.
And even after that,
on the plane of dreams where mortals and souls meet,
you are with me still.
“I have not yet learned to live without you,
and perhaps I never will,
the truth of the matter is,
you are always with me still.”
You walked such a blazing pathway, when your feet were on this earth, that your imprint lingers on and I place my own feet in your steps, one by one.
How do I live without you?
It’s really very simple.
I do not.
“I have yet to live without you
perhaps I never will,
perhaps the key to grief is,
you are always with me still.”
