creator year in review!!!

first creation and most recent creation of 2020:

ok so my first creation was this folklore + my favorite lyrics and my most recent was this cowboy like me one!! they’re both pretty recent bc i didn’t really start making edits until like september of this year lol

one of your favorite creations from 2020: 

i think my favorite from this year is this new folklore chapter edit i did for the tscreators november event! i loved the prompt bc it allowed me to branch out and look at some songs in a completely different light 

a creation you’re really proud of: 

ok so this one was also part of the tscreators november event, a ts greatest hits album concept. looking back, it kinda looks like reputation more than anything else but i’m proud of this one bc it made me branch out and explore the tools available on the website i use to make edits

a new style you tried this year and a gifset that uses it: 

i’m still pretty new at this and i’m trying to find my own style, so i’ve got a mix of styles from this year! i’m gonna go with this little title tracks edit i made back in september bc i think it’s pretty cute! that being said, it’s the second one i ever made and if i made it now i’d probaby do some things differently :/ 

your creation from 2020 that received the most notes:

definitely the folklore and evermore + names edit. it’s the post that’s received the most notes on my blog ever, let alone edits, which was kind of a blessing and a curse bc it had some inaccuracies in it when i initially posted it (i’ve edited it since). but i’m glad it worked out bc i’m pretty sure it’s all fixed now thanks to some friendly swifties and i’ve gotten some new mutuals from it! <3

a creation with a favorite scene/quote: 

i’ve got a little series of edits with some of my favorite lyrics, but i’m gonna pick debut + my favorite lyrics for this just bc i don’t think debut gets the love she deserves! it may not be her best album, but it’s still a really good album and she doesn’t get her credit (also stream cold as you)

a new fandom you joined and a creation you made for it: 

it’s not really a new fandom per say, but since i’ve started making edits i’ve only made taylor ones, so i’ll drop lover + my favorite lyrics here. i’ve been pretty obsessed with the walking dead for the past couple months (quarantine reignited my love for the comics) so i’m sure when i figure out what i wanna do i’ll make some edits for that. still not really new but new to editing lol

a creation you made that breaks your heart: 

i think i’m gonna say the new folklore chapter edit again! i tried to create a narrative for augustine (august?) where she thinks james is the one but that doesn’t really go anywhere and she becomes kind of jaded. i love august, it’s one of my favorite songs from folklore, but it’s kind of a sad song even though it’s pretty upbeat compared to the rest of the album 

a ‘simple’ creation that you really love: 

i’m gonna say this lover as speak now edit that i made for the tscreators november event! i think this edit is so pretty, even though it’s not crazy complicated (although that might be bc i love that time 100 gala dress) 

a creation that was inspired by another one (add both your creation and the one that inspired it!): 

back when folklore first dropped, i saw this beautiful edit by @follkllores with their favorite lyrics from each song, which inspired me to make an edit with my favorite folklore lyrics, kickstarting my hobby of making edits! so thank you, follkllores, for making it, it’s really pretty and i love all the pictures you chose for each song! 

a favorite creation created by someone else:

ok so i’m gonna name a few bc there are some insanely talented editors in the ts fandom, but first of all this cowboy like me collage by @youdrewstars1237 is beautiful!!! i also really love these folklore posters by @tayorswift i think they’re so cute and creative, especially the mad woman one! this taylor + literary allusions one by @nothinglikeamadwoman is also phenomenal! i love the concept, and the gifs are gorgeous!
