Maybe this should give people some hope, I will tell you all this, even if Kosa gets passed into US law, even on an international level, the ACLU will sue the hell out of Congress for violating the first and fourth amendment, civil rights, and internet freedom, I was told this by a friend who did their research on this and it made me feel a bit better.
Do look up who the ACLU is to understand, but to give a small explanation, it stands for American Civil Liberties Union, and what they do is that they defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to all people in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States.
Do let others know about this, I want people to have some hope.

You all know the shooting of Andrew Tekle Sundberg? Yeah, he got lots of attention and guess what's disturbing part about this case? There are people seriously ignoring his potential victim, Arabella Foss-Yarbrough.
Before we continue, DO NOT GO HARASS THE FAMILY OF TEKLE'S NOR ARABELLA HERSELF. The case is already difficult enough.
Well, what's the case shortly?
In July 13, in Minneapolis (Minnesota) a young man was seen standing outside his flat looking inside the window of his neighbor's, like he's focused and following someone in there. And that someone was Arabella herself. Two police officers, Aaron Pearson and Zachary Seraphine, were patroling and trying to talk him down. But everything took a turn when he started to shoot the mom and her kids through the window. And even started to attack the police officers which gave no other choice but shoot. At Saturday, after the shooting, there was a rally outside the apartment complex where it happened. Then Arabella showed up and started to tell what actually happened there at that night. She was very frustated but it's understandable. Who wouldn't be after that experience? And as a result, SHE AND HER TODDLER-AGED KIDS GOT VICTIM BLAMED BY BLACK LIVES MATTER ACTIVISTS! Yes, that's a real thing.
The case is now shortly recapped.
Am I saying Tekle was 100 % evil or his family shouldn't cry for him? ABSOLUTELY NOT. And neither was she. He had his issues and I don't know what he was like in weekdays, but at least he wasn't like Albert Fish or any other serial killer from history. And the family has a right to feel grief for their loss.
Was the rally necessary? NO. There would've been other ways to show solidarity for them, like paying the funeral expenses. Or at least majority of them. Funerals take lots of money. That would've been more effective and subtle. And also it would've given a positive publicity to Black Lives Matter movement. That makes me ask: Where was it when Tekle still was among the living? Why it didn't give him and his family any help back then?
As downhearted as the case is, there was NO signs of police brutality in it. George Floyd situation was police brutality, because
1) He was unarmed;
2) He was either drunk or high. At least it's assumed he was; and
3) Derek Chauvin and the three others, abused their position as police officers and used their tactics wrongfully.
Tekle, on the other hand, had a gun. He knew exactly what he was doing. (I don't know what his motive was and I don't care.) Police officers in question, obeyed their protocol and tried to solve this peacefully first. They tried to talk to him, they let his father talk to him, they even gave him SIX HOURS time to surrender. It didn't work. I wish it would've gone differently and also did Pearson and Seraphine, but it was very critical and serious circumstance.
It's so disgusting how a hysterical young woman, who tells protesters how the events really went and how they should go home, is treated: Not only they filmed the event, posted it on Twitter and portraited Arabella like she's in the wrong but they also told her to shut up like she's some racist white Karen being triggered over black kids selling lemonade across the street she lives. She's not like that. She was a victim of an attemped murder. They were literally victim blaming her!
The cops' bodycams captured the situation which they used as proves in front of Tekle's family and the court:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6Pksj4TASs (There you can see her and her kids flee. Older being only 4 years old, younger being 2 years old.)
My journals related to the topic:

This is the video I was refering to:

I'm happy about how his parents and siblings were sorry for Arabella and her children for what they're going through. They didn't practice victim blaming despite the fact the whole situation was and still is burdensome for them. I sincerely wish them all the best and that their pain will ease. It's dissapointing I'm not physically there, I would give all of them a hug.
Hopefully I manage in this grey-area thinking now. This is the most strenuous cases in our history.

cant tell you how bad it feels to constantly tell other artists to come to tumblr, because its the last good website that isn't fucked up by spoonfeeding algorithms and AI bullshit and isn't based around meaningless likes
just to watch that all fall apart in the last year or so and especially the last two weeks
there's nowhere good to go anymore for artists.
edit - a lot of people are saying the tags are important so actually, you'll look at my tags.
#please dont delete your accounts because of the AI crap. your art deserves more than being lost like that #if you have a good PC please glaze or nightshade it. if you dont or it doesnt work with your style (like mine) please start watermarking #use a plain-ish font. make it your username. if people can't google what your watermark says and find ur account its not a good watermark #it needs to be central in the image - NOT on the canvas edges - and put it in multiple places if you are compelled #please dont stop posting your art because of this shit. we just have to hope regulations will come slamming down on these shitheads#in the next year or two and you want to have accounts to come back to. the world Needs real art #if we all leave that just makes more room for these scam artists to fill in with their soulless recycled garbage #improvise adapt overcome. it sucks but it is what it is for the moment. safeguard yourself as best you can without making #years of art from thousands of artists lost media. the digital world and art is too temporary to hastily click a Delete button out of spite

Here’s your friendly reminder that no matter what happens, no matter what comes your way, no matter what life throws at you, all hope is not lost, you can still do good in the world and make it a better place, please do not despair and don’t let the darkness win, do whatever you can make the world a better place to live for all the good people in the world.
And for the love of god or whatever deity you believe in, please don’t overreact and give into fear due to a lot of terrible things that are happening, they’ll only either happen or continue to get worse if you do nothing, like I said, not all hope is lost, evil won’t win, the darkness won’t win, stand with your fellow people and fight for what’s right, hang in there, the best is yet to come, so don’t despair my friends, smile, you’ll be making a great change for those you care about.
Forgive me if my wording is a bit bad, I’m just and tired of seeing so much fear mongering over the past few months, I’ve seen a lot of fear mongering for the past few months, so please understand why I’m saying all this, I don’t want people to lose hope, I want everyone to know that it’s still there even if things seem bleak.

The great thing about having no internet for a couple of weeks is, you get so much stuff done. I've made great strides in my fight against invasive plants in the pasture!
^ This large rock used to be lost in a sea of broom, you couldn't even see it.
It's a lot more fastidious now that I'm uprooting plants one by one with the root slayer instead of clearing the whole area with a brushcutter, but hopefully they'll no longer be able to sneakily bide their time underground and then grow back even stronger from their intact root system.
I took some in-progress pictures—don't these invasive plants look like a retreating army?
We've had a tiny bit of April snow—I don't know if I can call it that, the air just felt icy and wet and tangible, if I opened my mouth I could feel snowflakes fly into it but nothing was actually falling on the ground. It felt like being repeatedly enveloped then dismissed by clouds that had made plans to drop their snowflakes elsewhere.
But every time I saw Pandolf he looked like a starry night, so there really were snowflakes in the air!
It felt very satisfying to come home with my face and hands all numb and warm up by stuffing entire wheelbarrows' worth of broom into the wood oven then throwing a match. Ever since I've learnt that this plant attracts ticks, burning it has felt like defeating two enemies at once. I listen to the lovely little crackling sounds of a broomfire and picture hundreds of ticks popping like popcorn.
My animals didn't enjoy being stuck inside snow clouds all day—I saw the llamas use their shelter for once, and Pandolf politely asked to come in and sit by the fire instead of staying out to collect more snowflakes in his fur, so I think they were all already in spring mode in their minds.
Merricat also (less politely) asked for shelter, but Merricat treats every instance of wet weather like a national scandal that I personally failed to prevent.
Even the hens wanted to come sit by the fire, and when I said no (you are hens), one of them ignored me and walked in, resolutely, clucking for the younger hen to follow her, like "let me teach you how it's done".
You know when you want to eat a crêpe in a crêpe restaurant in Paris and the waiter looks baffled that you envisage to buy food in his food establishment and he says no that won't possible, and you're like these people over there are having coffee they're almost done we'll just wait inside for their table!, and (with mounting horror) he says no no no if you really insist on giving us your money then you must wait in the street for the privilege, and watch the diners through the window like little orphans, and then your more assertive, confident friend militantly walks in anyway, encouraging you like, come on he's not gonna call the police, we're about to pay 12€ for 1 crêpe I think we can wait inside thank you very much—because a dismissive aristocratic aplomb is the only attitude that'll get you a table in a crêperie in Montparnasse sometimes? It was pretty much this dynamic. Between me and my hens.
