You all know the shooting of Andrew Tekle Sundberg? Yeah, he got lots of attention and guess what's disturbing part about this case? There are people seriously ignoring his potential victim, Arabella Foss-Yarbrough.
Before we continue, DO NOT GO HARASS THE FAMILY OF TEKLE'S NOR ARABELLA HERSELF. The case is already difficult enough. Well, what's the case shortly?
In July 13, in Minneapolis (Minnesota) a young man was seen standing outside his flat looking inside the window of his neighbor's, like he's focused and following someone in there. And that someone was Arabella herself. Two police officers, Aaron Pearson and Zachary Seraphine, were patroling and trying to talk him down. But everything took a turn when he started to shoot the mom and her kids through the window. And even started to attack the police officers which gave no other choice but shoot. At Saturday, after the shooting, there was a rally outside the apartment complex where it happened. Then Arabella showed up and started to tell what actually happened there at that night. She was very frustated but it's understandable. Who wouldn't be after that experience? And as a result, SHE AND HER TODDLER-AGED KIDS GOT VICTIM BLAMED BY BLACK LIVES MATTER ACTIVISTS! Yes, that's a real thing.
The case is now shortly recapped. Am I saying Tekle was 100 % evil or his family shouldn't cry for him? ABSOLUTELY NOT. And neither was she. He had his issues and I don't know what he was like in weekdays, but at least he wasn't like Albert Fish or any other serial killer from history. And the family has a right to feel grief for their loss.
Was the rally necessary? NO. There would've been other ways to show solidarity for them, like paying the funeral expenses. Or at least majority of them. Funerals take lots of money. That would've been more effective and subtle. And also it would've given a positive publicity to Black Lives Matter movement. That makes me ask: Where was it when Tekle still was among the living? Why it didn't give him and his family any help back then?
As downhearted as the case is, there was NO signs of police brutality in it. George Floyd situation was police brutality, because
1) He was unarmed;
2) He was either drunk or high. At least it's assumed he was; and
3) Derek Chauvin and the three others, abused their position as police officers and used their tactics wrongfully.
Tekle, on the other hand, had a gun. He knew exactly what he was doing. (I don't know what his motive was and I don't care.) Police officers in question, obeyed their protocol and tried to solve this peacefully first. They tried to talk to him, they let his father talk to him, they even gave him SIX HOURS time to surrender. It didn't work. I wish it would've gone differently and also did Pearson and Seraphine, but it was very critical and serious circumstance.
It's so disgusting how a hysterical young woman, who tells protesters how the events really went and how they should go home, is treated: Not only they filmed the event, posted it on Twitter and portraited Arabella like she's in the wrong but they also told her to shut up like she's some racist white Karen being triggered over black kids selling lemonade across the street she lives. She's not like that. She was a victim of an attemped murder. They were literally victim blaming her! The cops' bodycams captured the situation which they used as proves in front of Tekle's family and the court:

I'm happy about how his parents and siblings were sorry for Arabella and her children for what they're going through. They didn't practice victim blaming despite the fact the whole situation was and still is burdensome for them. I sincerely wish them all the best and that their pain will ease. It's dissapointing I'm not physically there, I would give all of them a hug. Hopefully I manage in this grey-area thinking now. This is the most strenuous cases in our history.

My heart really goes out to Arabella Foss-Yarbrough. Now, I do support Black Lives Matter - and I do believe that there are a disproportionate amount of black people being killed by cops. However, in this particular case, Andrew ‘Tekle’ Sundberg was definitely *not* innocent. Now, could the police have have handled this case better? Possibly. However, as Ms. Yarbrough pointed out, this was not a George Floyd situation - even if both events might’ve occurred in the same city. However, for now, I’m not really here to discuss whether the cops did what was right or not. I’m here to talk about the protesters who were demonstrating outside the apartment where she lived, and how they responded to being confronted by her. Now, I don’t doubt that some of these protesters did have their hearts in the right places - but were, ultimately, misguided. However, it’s hard for me to be as charitable towards some of the protesters who... hurled abuse at her. Some of shouting at her to ‘shut up’, and even told her that she should be ‘grateful to be alive’. One of them even shouted that it’d be ‘better her than him’. Now, please let that sink in for a moment. Here we’re talking a victim of harassment - and, on top of that, she has two small children of her own. As a father myself, I can’t even begin to fathom how it would feel to have the lives of my children endangered by some... out-of-control shooter. If you’re listening, Arabella Yarbrough, I wanna let you know that I have your back. There was no excuse whatsoever for some of those protesters to... hurl such abuse at you. What they did was very detrimental to their cause, to say the least. Right now, I really wanna give you a hug. It's vital that we not become so blinded by our cause that we... lose perspective of what is important.

No charges will be filed against two Minneapolis police snipers who fatally shot a Minneapolis man during a standoff in his apartment in July, the Hennepin County Attorney's Office said Wednesday.
The officers involved were justified in shooting 20-year-old Andrew Tekle Sundberg, the county attorney's office said. The man's family said he was experiencing a mental health crisis.
The shooting of Sundberg, a Black man, stoked mistrust of police in Minneapolis two years after George Floyd was killed by police.
FEDERAL JUDGE DENIES BAIL FOR MINNESOTA MAN WHO AMASSED AN ARSENAL OF WEAPONS TO USE AGAINST POLICE
Sundberg's death was a tragedy, but the use of deadly force was authorized under Minnesota law, County Attorney Mike Freeman said in a statement.
Cindy Sundberg, Tekle’s mother, told the Minneapolis Star Tribune Wednesday that "we are heartbroken that the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office chose to provide our family with this devastating news right before Christmas, as we were already grieving Tekle’s absence."
NEBRASKA MAN ID'D AS MINNESOTA COLD CASE MURDER VICTIM
Police went to the scene the night of July 13 after a 911 call from a neighbor of Sundberg’s who said he was firing a gun into her apartment, endangering her and her 2- and 4-year-old sons.
Police body-camera video released less than a week after the shooting showed a chaotic scene in which Minneapolis officers rescued a mother and her two young children as Sundberg repeatedly fired a gun from inside his nearby apartment during what was a mental health crisis.
After Sandberg aimed his gun at officers and threatened to shoot and kill them, two Minneapolis police snipers fired two shots, killing Sundberg, according to the county attorney's report.

They don’t know what the prompted the officers to shoot?
They don’t know what the prompted the officers to shoot? Maybe the bullets flying through the apartment or the individual who called the police feared for their life and their children’s lives and him waving a gun around?
Direct Quotes:
It still remains unclear what exactly prompted the o cers to shoot.
According to investigators, Sundberg fired multiple gunshots inside the Seward neighborhood apartment building Wednesday night, and a neighbor, Arabella Yarbrough, called 911 saying a bullet went through her wall.
Yarbrough interrupted the demonstration Saturday as the group was getting ready to start the rally. She said she felt threatened by Sundberg and feared for her and her children's lives that night.
"He tried to kill me in front of my kids," she said.
"Tekle was an imperfect human as we are all imperfect humans and he did not deserve to be picked off like an animal from a rooftop," Sundberg said.
Those who knew Tekle remembered him for his love of art, photography and his cat.
According to the search warrants, BCA investigators recovered a pistol with an extended magazine and several bullet casings from Sundberg's apartment. Also recovered was a bullet fragment from a neighboring apartment unit.

Repost @theneighborhoodtalk A Minneapolis mom is upset at BLM protestors after they crowded outside her apartment complex to protest the killing of a black man by a police officer who the woman says tried to kill her and her kids. ————————————————————— Last week, Arabella Foss-Yarbrough called police after her neighbor, Andrew “Tekle” Sundberg, fired multiple shots inside her home while she was cooking dinner for her children. After a long standoff with police, Tekle was shot down by Minneapolis police snipers. A pistol with an extended magazine and several bullet casings were recovered from his apartment. ————————————————————— His killing sparked outrage with some Black Lives Matter protesters due to him being killed by police. Protestors gathered outside their neighborhood to protest about the killing, which they assumed was unjust. Arabella was captured on video shaming the protestors for trying to champion a man that she claimed tried to kill her and her kids. ————————————————————— “This is not a George Floyd situation. George Floyd was unarmed. This is not OK,” Arabella yelled. “He tried to kill me in front of my kids.” ————————————————————— “You guys need to just let it go!" She screamed. "Grieve in silence! This is not OK! This is not a George Floyd situation. George Floyd was unarmed! My kids have to deal with this and probably have a mental illness now because they almost lost their lives! There are bullet holes in my kitchen...Now I don't have a place to call home, and I can't sleep at night! This is not okay!" ————————————————————— The protestors ignored her pleas, even cussing at her, telling her to leave the protest. People can be heard in the video telling her it’s not the right time for the commotion. BLM Minnesota organizer, Trahern Crews, says that the situation is a cause for investigation, despite the cries from Arabella. She says that they are there simply to “respect life and demand justice”. ——————————————————————— I'm all for the cause of Black Lives Matter, but this woman is traumatized and they don’t even seem to care. This is sad all the way around. Thoughts Neighbors? #blm #blacklivesmatter #criminals #victims https://www.instagram.com/p/CgK3M3QPOXp/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

This is a conflict many progressives have yet to fully comprehend. They’ll show quick sympathy towards those killed by cops, violent criminals included, and yet shout down the very victims of violent criminality. Andrew Tekle Sundberg was having a psychotic episode, and had endangered neighbors’ lives with his gunfire. It is reasonable to ask why he had those weapons in the first place. Perhaps he could have been safely apprehended alive - I don’t know. But it is grotesque that the experiences of community members like Ms. Foss-Yarbrough are at best ignored by activists, and at worst mocked, as occurred here.

MINNEAPOLIS -- No charges will be filed in the fatal police shooting of a man during a standoff in a south Minneapolis apartment over the summer, the Hennepin County Attorney's Office announced Wednesday.
Two Minneapolis police snipers shot 20-year-old Andrew "Tekle" Sundberg following a multi-hour standoff in July. According to investigators, Sundberg fired multiple rounds inside the Seward neighborhood apartment building prior to the standoff, and a neighbor also called 911 saying a bullet went through her wall.
RELATED: Officials release bodycam footage of Andrew "Tekle" Sundberg's fatal encounter with police
In released body cam video, four minutes after an officer arrives on scene, you hear three gunshots fired through an apartment door. For several hours, police attempted to talk Sundberg into coming out peacefully. At times, he can be seen leaning outside of his apartment, holding a cellphone.
The end of the police video shows SWAT team officers Aaron Pearson and Zachary Seraphine positioned on a rooftop across the street. Both officers are heard saying "gun" before one of them fires two rounds.
Search warrants say investigators from the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension recovered a pistol with an extended magazine and several bullet casing from Sundberg's apartment.
The BCA was unable to find video that clearly shows the shooting of Sundberg.
On the decision not to file criminal charges, Hennepin County Mike Freeman says the use of deadly force was legally authorized in the shooting because "all of the elements of the use-of-deadly-force statute have been met in this case."
Freeman says for deadly force to be legally used, there must be at minimum a threat of death or great bodily harm that:
Can be articulated with specificity
Is reasonably likely to occur absent action by the law enforcement
Must be addressed through the use of deadly force without unreasonable delay
Sundberg's family said he struggled with his mental health. Their attorneys also said the family rejects the narrative that the police department's efforts were done in collaboration with relatives, adding that what exactly led up to the fatal shooting remains unclear.
"Mr. Sundberg's death was a tragedy," Freeman said. "Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Mr. Sundberg. People who are suffering from mental health crises are vulnerable, and encounters between those in crisis and law enforcement must be handled with special care. In this case, tragic as it is, the officers' use of deadly force was legally authorized under Minnesota law."
