i feel like this needs to be said with the recent release of the hp game but if youre supporting jkr unfollow me right the fuck now.

i dont support her or her writings.

anyways. im watching charmed, both new and old versions. i love the demon and witch relationship each series have. and im thinking "oh! oh that could be daminette!"

of course without the sad ending the original series had. im not far enough in s2 of the new series to know if it goes wrong.

but anyways. half demon damian courting witch mari as a means to spy on her as shes important in the magical community, but slowly falls in love with her and abandons his grandfather.

anyways onto half demon damian. talia at behest of her fathers orders is to take out bruce wayne as he is a powerful witch, and is constantly combating a bunch of magical shit in gotham as well as taking out normal crime. but oop, she falls in love with him. she has damian, who is raised under so many restrictions as ordered by ra's. then trained to take out marinette.

that doesnt happen as he ends up falling in love with her and leaving ra's. talia finds him and commends him for being brave enough to do what she couldnt. i will die on good mum talia hill, so help me gods.

welp ra's doesnt like that so he goes after the batfam and mari with a vigor unbeknownst to mankind. and mari and damian are forced to kill him.

damian has to take the throne as talia doesnt want the throne and if he doesnt take someone else will and it will be a neverending cycle.

but he and mari get married. they unite the demon world with the witch world and they still fight crime and the occasional rogue magical entity.

if anyone wants to write it go fucking ham!!

i finally went through some of the comments on the letdown and relaized there is some confusion going around with marinette and who shes related to.

alfred pennyworth has a daughter, julia. she in the comics discovered her mother after being attacked and her mothers final words were pennyworth. julia took this as alfred was her mothers killer.

she spent time traveling to find him and try to get justice. she ends up meeting ian cheng, an oc, while trying to find alfred. they have a one night stand resulting in mari.

when julia discovers she pregnant she returns to paris. shortly afterwards she meets gina. then she found alfred and knows the stories of gotham. she couldnt raise a daughter there. while debating what to do, whether to give up on finding justice for her mothers murder, or to keep her child, or to give her a better life she spends time with gina, eventually meets tom and sabine and agrees to give mari to them to adopt.

ian cheng is the brother of sabine cheng. he is maris bio dad.

bruce and ian know each other bc they both trained under ras al ghul, only diff is the ian stayed with the league while bruce didnt.

how my night went:

Me trying to sleep at about half past midnight, the overhead light is off and the only light in the bedroom comes from the hall light shining underneath the door and a dimmer himalayan salt lamp with a blue light bulb.

My little magpie brain: Hey what if we made a not-quite meet cute daminette.

Me: No. Sleep.

Brain: No! Meet Cute Daminette.

Me: Tomorrow.

Brain: You won't remember tomorrow.

Me: Dammit, you're right.

Proceeds to grab a notebook and pen from my nightstand and starts writing the idea down, in the dark, with only slivers of light to help me.

Me: There, it's down.

Brain: But what if it's illegible? And you can't read it?

Me: I don't care, it is written down that's all that matters. I'm going to sleep.

so i am a huge BtVS fan as well as a repo genetic opera fan. so this idea came from a very convoluted thought process btw.

i was listening to repo, at like midnight as one does and thought ah shit i love anthony stewart head. his voice is fucking phenomenal. like go listen to "let the monster rise" then go listen to "walk through the fire" from btvs season 6 and youll understand why i love his voice.

anyways as i was listening to "walk through the fire" i just thought of an au where marinette dies and through some convoluted way shes brought back, could be like jason where the universe undid her sacrifice or her friends brought her back using magic.

the lazarus pit does not bring back the dead yall. it only heals. and even then not really.

so shes brought back and feels lost. so something happens and shes reminiscing about her afterlife, she was at peace.

she doesnt know what to do now that shes come back.

then damian comes along and talks to her, sort of understanding her pain. he understands dying and then coming back and not knowing what to do afterwards
