☠︎︎ DAY SIX: COCKWARMING FT. AKAASHI

☠︎︎ WARNINGS: fluff, fem reader, cockwarming, neutral dominance/submission, sleepy sex

"i'll be done in about thirty more minutes. you can go ahead and get in bed, n/n"

those were the words that'd left the mouth of her lover before she'd gone upstairs to wait for the warmth of his familiar figure to soon encase her but instead, after an hour, she still resided on the bed alone.

lazily getting up from their shared space, y/n made her way down the stairs and into the dimly illuminated office only to be met with the tired eyes of akaashi. "i thought you'd be asleep by now"

"you said you'd be done in thirty minutes. it's been an hour" akaashi heard the annoyance and exhaustion seeping through her tone all at once, causing him to let out a small sigh. "i know, love. i'm trying to get extra work done so we can have the day to ourselves tomorrow."

akaashi's gaze fell upon the loosely hanging strap of y/n's silk slip, making her adjust it to correctly rest on her shoulder. acknowledging the fact that she noticed his not so innocent observance, akaashi smiled to himself when he saw y/n's annoyed eye roll.

"but it's cold without you"

"are you sure you're just cold? i thought i heard some familiar sound coming from upstairs" even though his eyes were still focused on the screen of his pc, akaashi noticed the way y/n shuddered at his words.

"keiji-"

"love, i know a way we can both get what we want" he interrupted, looking over to y/n as he stretched his hand out, offering her his hold. she took it and he pulled her down to himself to straddle his lap.

y/n adjusted herself against akaashi, looking at and, taking in the sleep deprived, yet salacious glint in his eyes. "let's keep eachother warm like this. i promise i'll be done in maybe.. another hour"

with a nod, y/n allowed her chest to press against the one of akaashi's before wrapping her arms around his nape, the slip that she wore rising dangerously high and y/n couldn't help but lean into akaashi's hold when the cold air grazed her thighs

he couldn't help but let a small sigh pass through his lips when y/n once again readjusted her figure. "what's wrong?" he question, noticing how y/n was still tense against him.

y/n only shook her head in response allowing akaashi to slightly switch his gaze to admire y/ n's features. he knew the answer to his own question and understood the fact that y/n just didn't want to interrupt his work.

"are you still cold, love?"

this time she nodded and akaashi tapped her back slightly as a way of telling her to sit up. she followed his indirected request before seeing him fumble with the strings of his sweatpants.

"you should focus on your work keiji, worry about me later"

"and why can't i be focused on both?"

leaning up slightly, akaashi placed his lips onto y/n's as their movements were practically rhythmic with each other. he felt y/n begin to relax more into his hold confirming the fact that she was needy for his touch.

moaning into the kiss when akaashi's make quick movements to move her underwear to the side, y/n couldn't help but hastily pull on the hem of his sweats and briefs down enough to expose his aroused member.

"is this what you were trying to get at upstairs?" akaashi questions, making y/n slightly groan at his confrontation. she slightly lifted her hips allowing her lover to guide her, making her gradually succumb to his movement.

y/n rested her head on akaashis shoulder, letting out a staggered breath due to the new pleasure filled feeling that was coursing throughout the entirety of herself. "let's stay like this till i'm done, okay?"

with a hesitant nod, she closed her eyes before taking a deep breath. "thanks, keiji" he placed a small kiss of appreciation to her temple, before managing to bring himself to focus on the screen of his pc. "try and go to sleep now".

she hummed to his words and with a smile, akaashi finally felt some amount of motivation to finish what he had left to get done so he could focus on the relaxing warmth of y/n.

I think part of what makes OnK so unique is that like, while it has an incredibly huge focus on idols in particular and idol culture, it's not an idol anime/manga so to say

Since idol stuff usually comes in the flavors of:

Just cute girls singing and dancing (Love Live!, Idolm@ster, Zombieland Saga, etc)

Very vocal critiques of the idol industry (Perfect Blue)

(And I will go on the record for full disclosure I love normal idol stuff, Love Live! is one of my favorite franchises ever)

But despite the prevalence of idols it's not an idol anime. And because of that it's able to comment on more than just the idol industry in a way I don't think anything else can. While it does have an emphasis on idol stuff OnK is, at its core a scathing critique of the entire entertainment industry and everything it perpetuates. But it's still allowed to be more than that!

The Reality Dating Show Arc is an incredibly dark and bitter commentary on online bullying. It was written following the suicide of an actress as a result of online bullying, and it is a scathing commentary on the mob mentality prevalent in online spaces, on how quickly we are willing to jump on a bandwagon the moment it becomes acceptable to attack somebody. And it has nothing to do with idols- not a single character involved in the incident is an idol.

How fake and slimy the entire entertainment industry, not just idol culture, is. How talented actors are screwed over in favor of what sells, how people view child actors as just washed up has-beens when they're past the height of their cuteness.

And even a commentary on revenge and the tragedy of the two leads. Aqua's and Ruby's original lives as Gorou and Sarina were completely defined by being Ai Hoshino's fan: and then when reincarnated as her child, their lives are inherently tied to her once more. And then she's gone. And everything in their lives ties to her in every capacity. Aqua's desire for revenge, Ruby's desire to emulate her mother, and how it completely mentally ruins these two people and how they would be happier if they were doing anything other than living every aspect of their lives for Hoshino Ai.

Oshi no Ko is a scathing critique of idol culture, yes, but it's allowed to be so much more than that because it's not something that focuses exclusively on idol, you can't really call it an idol anime or manga, just "something that also has idols in it." And it's better for it.

KaguPrez/AquaKana - Similarities

While these ships are pretty different, Akasaka wrote in similar tropes for both main pairings of Kaguya-sama and Oshi no Ko.

1. Everyone can see it

A romance trope that Akasaka used with Kaguya/Shirogane was the “Everybody can see it” trope, where multiple students could see how Kaguya and Shirogane would be good together.

Now look at AquaKana, and see how he does the same trope of everyone hinting that Aqua has feelings for Kana 👀

2. Girls freaking out while the boys are casual

3. Starstruck Boys

Both ships have a moment early in their relationship development where the girl does something extraordinary, and the boys are completely taken aback by it. Kaguya reacted quickly to save a girl from drowning while Kana acted the climax of Sweet Today with her best attempt.

4. Girls with “Bad Personalities” while the guys disagree

Both Kaguya and Kana behaved worse in their past due to their environments. In present day, they are much kinder after working on themselves but still think that they aren’t likeable enough due to their faults. But the male leads disagree on them having a “bad personality”.
