Okay so I know Julieta’s not having triplets in your ‘something unexpected’ fic. Buuuut! Just for funsies, what would’ve been the reaction if she was?
Like Bruno’s says “congrats Juli, they’re adorable”
There’s a pause and then suddenly the whole table shouts some variation of “they! As in more than one!!?
The chaos would be epic!
Actually, gonna be honest, the thought of her having triplets did cross my mind when I was writing that chapter, though mostly to just tease Julieta and make her frozen on the spot lmao, but let's do an alteration of that chapter!
vvvvvvvvvvvvvv
“I hear a new heartbeat,” Dolores muttered weakly.
And after no longer than a second, Pepa stood up so suddenly her chair fell to the floor. “You’re pregnant?!” she roared, glaring daggers at Mariano as if she was ready to kill him with a bolt of lightning that barely missed his chair.
Julieta only blinked. So Antonio would get a baby – who cared if it was a cousin or a nephew – sooner than she anticipated–
–but Dolores suddenly shook her head, gaping at her mother in shock. “I’m not?! We never–”
“Then who?” Alma demanded sharply, her gaze stopping at Isabela and Luisa who looked equally surprised by the revelation. “Girls?”
Luisa started coughing and Isabela just stared back at her, her eyes wide, her head shaking the tiniest bit.
“Mirabel…?” Alma started hesitantly.
Julieta felt her heart racing. Surely, it couldn't be her baby girl, right–
Mirabel choked on her sip of juice and Camilo patted her on her back so hard it sounded like all her organs did a flip inside. “What?!”
Alma wanted to repeat the question, it was clear, but at the same time Dolores slammed her both hands on the table, yelling “It’s tía!” and Bruno’s eyes went shining green at the same second.
Julieta was fairly certain her heart stopped. The wine glass dropped from Agustín’s hand and broke into three pieces on the table, spilling the remaining wine onto the surface.
But otherwise, there was silence.
The only sound anyone emitted was heavy breathing coming from Bruno as he grasped the edges of the table and leaned over it to blink quickly a few times just a few seconds later, getting rid of the shiny glimmer that had just lit up his eyes.
Then he looked around, a little confused, smacking himself on the head lightly, and a small smile appeared on his lips. “Congratulations Juli, they're adorable.”
Silence.
Camilo was the first to recover. “They? As in more than one?”
Bruno opened his mouth to answer but Dolores beat him to it. “There are three new heartbeats.”
Pepa thundered. “Three–”
“Triplets?!”
“Santa Maria–”
“Bruno, Brunito, hermanito, what did you see?!” Pepa asked loudly.
All people at the table looked at him. He chuckled nervously. “Ah-uh, three babies?”
“Three babies!”
“Well, no babies, more like toddlers but yeah–”
“Girls, boys?! Two and one, like us?!”
Bruno smiled, his eyes wide. “Three cute girls.”
“Three new sobrinas!”
“Three hermanitas...”
“Three nietas...”
“It looks like Julieta’s doing your part of the job, hermanito,” Pepa laughed out loud. “Three! Three girls! Three oopsie girls!”
“Mami, what’s going on?” Antonio asked after giving the table a wide, confused look.
Pepa turned to him and grabbed his chubby cheeks between her hands. “Your  tía Julieta’s going to have three babies! You’ll have three little primas!”
“Three?! At the same time?!”
“Yes!”
“But I asked for one!” he exclaimed, looking in shock at Julieta. “Three?! You’re the best, tía Julieta!”
Julieta blinked and her gaze flickered to Antonio. “Mhm,” she mumbled and laughed suddenly. She covered her mouth with her hand and ignoring concerned glances sent her way, she reached for a glass of water. Her hand shook terribly and half of the liquid spilt on the table. “Dios mío...”
Agustín grabbed her other hand suddenly, his palm sweaty and his fingers trembling as he squeezed her left hand. She squeezed back, trying to root herself in place and took a sip of water.
The silence lasted for a five more seconds.
Then Isabela turned to them, both eyebrows raised. “That’s it? That’s your reaction to the whole situation?”
“Hey, they look shocked...”
“Shocked! They have children, they know how to make them, they shouldn’t be shocked!”
“Pa?” Luisa asked in a pitchy voice, her eye twitching. “You okay? You seem... Pale.”
“Mhm,” Agustín squeaked, his hand around Julieta’s toghtening even more, his other hand drumming on the table. “Absolutely. Perfectly okay. I’m fine.”
“Mira’s a more subtle liar,” Camilo shot them a pitiful look for what he was smacked on the back of the head by Mirabel. “Ouch! What was that for?!”
“For being stupid,” she hissed to him, before turning to look at her parents. “You’re awfully quiet mamá, are you feeling alright?”
Without any word, Julieta shook her head slowly.
“Your heartbeats are very, very quick,” Dolores piped in quietly. “Too quick, I’d say,” she added, looking between her aunt and uncle. “I think you should go and rest...”
“A wonderful idea,” Agustín shot out of his chair and the piece of furniture fell to the ground. Julieta didn’t ever flinch but let herself be pulled to her feet. “We need a moment,” he said and took her hand, both of them walking out of the kitchen on wobbly legs.
“I’d say no funny business but the damage is already done!” Isabela called after them.
There was silence. Then–
“Félix, help me prepare some drinks. Strong drinks,” Alma looked around the table and sighed, getting up. “We’ll make ones for Camilo and Mirabel too. We all need it–”
“Yes!” both mentioned cousins bumped their fists in triumph.
Antonio pouted. “Can I have a drink too?”
“No!” screamed everyone at the table.
Pepa patted his head. “You’ll let some orange juice. Your tía’s absolute favourite!”
Antonio beamed at them, exclaiming an excited “okay!”. Julieta made a good bribe material these days.

Here is the second and final part of werewolf Alma and Mirabel Au. Hope I'm not bothering you.
________________________________
They couldn't believe they lost their home, the miracle was gone, all of their items and objects were in Casita ruins, no one didn't say a word, no one notice Mirabel weren't with them except for Antonio, Felix, Agustin, Luisa and Bruno they knew Mirabel was in her wolf form sitting in Alma arms.
the Guzman family came to see if the Madrigal family were alright, what they didn't expect when Alma set the wolf down the form began to transform into Mirabel, the family and a few people gasp at the sight but what made the took pity on the girl was her angry tears and her rubbing her red cheek.
First then she did was slap Pepa making her stumble back and Felix ran to Mirabel side and hugged the girl tight, apologizing for his wife and children sake but his poor niece bust in tears when she said her cheeks hurts, Alma slap Julieta before doing the same to Isabela, Camilo and Dolores then went back to her middle daughter and slap her twice as hard, to her it's been a long time since she had smack her kids and grandchildren.
"How could you mama, how could you slap me you old hag."
"No how could you hit a child, look at what you did, Alma pointed to Mirabel who had stopped crying was now glaring at Pepa. "You slapped her for no reason look at her cheek." She shouted at her daughter.
there were more people coming to see what the commotion about, Mirabel was being held by her dad, Antonio, Luisa were watching as more people came, in the meanwhile Bruno was smirking as his mom yelled at his sister, he waited so long for someone to put Pepa in her place.
"And yet you wonder why Antonio avoids you, it's because he sees what type of mother you are, he sees how you along with the others treat his cousin, your niece which made his avoid the others as well. You always lash out on the poor girl whenever she is around, you lash out on her past few weeks for hanging out on Felix, blame her for taking Felix away from you, you acted out like he cheated on you and for the sake give him a break, he isn't a toy,you lash out on him when he went against you, he doesn't deserves to be with some one like you and I don't know how he keep up with you. Today has gone too far, you had an argument with Felix when you caught him and Mirabel in the kitchen baking, you freaking slapped Mirabel until she transformed into a wolf." Alma yelled at her leaving her middle daughter in tears after giving her another slap.
Alma signs as she stopped in front Isabela and Dolores, she wouldn't slap them but they were grown and old enough to make her own choices, she sees Mariano standing behind Isabela as her eldest granddaughter gave her the look of please don't expose me face while Dolores had tears steaming down her face.
"Isabela, Dolores I'm disappointed in you both, you think I didn't know any words, door slamming, making her fall, trying or harm her in any way or that day Antonio came to and told me that Mirabel was lock up in your closet and Dolores you were with her so stop that crying. She scolds her granddaughters, Mariano walked away from Isabela after hearing what she had done.
"You both did so many bad things and didn't think I noticed it, I can't look at you both any longer. "Camilo, my grandson, Alma called making him flinch. "Why do you let your friends throw things at her, why do you hate her, you used to be close to her, what happened to that closeness.
"You know boys aren't supposed to put their hands on girls, even kicked small animals." Camilo stared at his grandma in fear which she tsk at him and shook her head. "You and your friends gave her a stomach ache, I'm sure you remember seeing a puppy roam around Casita or sometimes near the forest If I believe so, yep you kicked your cousin along with your friends." Camilo couldn't hide his guilt, he had a breakdown apologizing like crazy.
Alma stood in front to Julieta, her oldest disappointing her big time. "There are a thousand ways you are a disappointment to me my child, I don't have anything to say to you and I believe you know the answer." Her oldest daughter nodded her head.
As the lady stands in front Julieta, Pepa, Isabela, Dolores and Camilo and the others, she gave them the angriest look that made their and the other hairs stand up, they never seen her that mad except for her children, they seen her mad but this one. As Alma looks around at the crowd as they were pointing and whispering she begin to speak.
"I know you all have questions and I'm gonna answer it, The first thing is that Mirabel is a werewolf and so am I." The crowds started to whisper, her family that didn't know gasp, they couldn't believe it now they feeling more guilty.
"That little puppy everyone sees roaming around, maybe Luisa, Agustin or Antonio carried around was Mirabel all this time because there is no wolf that tame like we are but we don't mean no harm. As for the jealous family members." Alma said as she turned back to them.
"I never had favorites, I love every single of you equally and the reason why I gave Mirabel so much attention because she is a werewolf and they need help since they don't know how to control it and will be in pain whenever they started transforming and it's painful to see a child go through this. We were gonna tell you guys but ya'll jealousy got the best of you, all I can say is that I complete lost faith and trust in you guys, I know Mirabel won't trust any of you people anytime and I don't blame her because I ain't gonna forgive those who did her wrong, harm her and tried to blame her so we aren't gonna forget this."
"What will we do about Casita." Antonio ask.
"After we finish rebuilding our home everyone is set to have their own house, If the miracle did come back everyone is still set to have their own house because It's time for everyone to leave this house and get their own place... oh I forgot to say this but this house will belong to Mirabel when I pass." With that Alma started to walk away to talk to Camlio friends parents, speaking of the punishment of those who did her Mirabel wrong and talking about rebuilding of Casita with the townfolk.
Felix was now talking to Camilo and Dolores as they watched Antonio and the puppy running around, Julieta was with Agustin, Luisa and Iasbela, Bruno was with Alma while Pepa was on her way to her husband and kids.
"Pepa I will be spending the night at my parents house for a couple of days after, I just need some time off to rethink our marriage life because this relationship... I don't know how to explain it but I just need some time off, Antonio can come over as well as the others that was nice to Mirabel until I say so, I already told them this and they fine with it then said I deserve to be alone, now if you excuse me, I finna see the blueprint and what part the want me to take." Felix told his wife before she could say anything else.
All Pepa and Julieta could do is to watch their husbands as the walked over to the people, Pepa broke down but Julieta couldn't say anything since she was at fault for this. For one thing they felt was regret, guilt and felt dumb for letting jealousy taking over.
I had this since yesterday and didn't post because of distraction, but anyways sorry if this is too long and sorry if I'm bothering you.
D
DAMNNNNNNN ☠️☠️
Not gonna lie, its nice to see them standing up to the other family's behavior. I'm glad they didn't just let it slide, letting them give a half asses apology and a slap on the wrist. Its not okay to that kind of stuff, especially to faniky, no matter how jelous you may be. Get a straw and suck it up <33 I don't think they'd divorce or anything, but Agustin and Felix are definitely gonna have a very long talk and possible week or two away from Julieta and Pepa. And Pepa had no right to hit Mirabel wtf ☠️☠️ shiii all of them deserve to be booted, their behavior has no excuse. There's thing called communication. I think they should practice it 👹👹
Anyway, I never think snippets are bothersome, they're so fun to read 😩😩 speaking of, with all this angst lately, I might do some fluffy Mario or Housebroken tings <333

mi vida, mi sol, mi luna !
Tumblr media
summary ; after a year without seeing each other, camilo and y/n reunite only to realize they’ve fallen in love. camilo attempts to write a letter to confess his feelings, but it fails… in a good way.
pairing ; camilo madrigal x fem!reader
notes ; pure fluff lmao, 18+ dni
word count ; 3k
It was always Camilo and Y/N. It was never just Camilo, or just Y/N; it was always Camilo and Y/N. It has always been Camilo and Y/N, and it always will be Camilo and Y/N. At least, thats what’s everyone had assumed.
Seeing as your mother had been best friends with the triplets, you and Camilo were attached by the hip the moment you two were born. Camilo was only two hours older than you, making you both born on the same day and therefore attached for the rest of your lives. You were there when Camilo had gotten his gift, and Camilo was there when you had to help your family’s business. You were the definition of best friends, nothing more and nothing less. So it was a given for people to assume it would always be Camilo and Y/N, from life til death. You were eachother’s lifelines. Sus vidas.
Until news came about that your family would be leaving town for a year due to business purposes. Camilo did everything he could to have you stay: he proposed for your parents to leave you at casita, he asked to come with you, but nothing worked. You were leaving for a year and that was final.
So for the first time in 15 years, “Camilo and Y/N” became just “Camilo”.
No longer did townspeople see you and Camilo bringing a smile to faces with their tricks. No longer did they see Camilo stealing seconds and you scolding himshortly afterwards. No longer did they see you getting tackled by a blur of yellow around every corner. They only saw Camilo joking with children but never having the smile reach his eyes. They only saw Camilo taking another serving, but never as much arepas was seen towered on his plate as before. They only saw Camilo chatting with his siblings and cousins, but not quite hugging them the way he hugged you.
It stayed that way for a year. Days passed as Camilo waited for his best friend to come back. A calendar adorned the wall above his bed, and marking it was the first thing he did every morning. In the back pocket of his pants, there was a picture Mirabel had taken of you and Camilo on your 15th birthday, just a week before you left. You two stood at the front of casita, a banner above you announcing “¡Feliz Cumpleanos!”. Camilo’s right arm slung around your shoulder and your left hand touseled his curly hair. Both of you had tossed confetti into the other’s face the moment the photo was taken. Your faces both permanently etched with laugher and euphoria in the photo.
On the 6th of december, Camilo woke up to one of Pepa’s sunny days despite it being winter. He grabbed a marker from his nightstand and reached over to his calendar. Only 25 days until he would be reunited with his best friend.
The shapeshifter then pulled on a rauna over his collared shirt and dark pants, and slid down casita’s stairs for breakfast. If he was lucky, he would be early and could steal a couple extra arepas. He quickly ran over to where his Tia Julieta kept the breakfast servings and shifted into Dolores before stacking arepas onto his plate.
“Dolores!” Camilo heard someone shout. He looked up slowly, still in the form of Dolores. It was Mirabel.
“Hey! So I was walking around town and Mariano came up to me and wanted me to ask you if…”
Mirabel continued to drone on about whatever it was Mariano had told her to ask Dolores. Camilo continued to stack arepas, nodding his head and staring at Mirabel to make her think it was Dolores who was listening.
“He said his schedule is pretty flexible, and he was thinking around afternoon he could take you to-”
“Mirabel? Dolores?” a voice inutrrupted mirabel’s speech.
Mirabel turned around at the new voice whilst Camilo didn’t bother. However the voice was extremely familiar, like he’d heard it many times before but hadn’t heard it in a while-
“Y/N?” Mirabel turned around, thus grabbing Camilo’s full attention.
When Camilo looked up, he began to cough uncontrollably. He lost his form as Dolores, shifted into Mirabel for a split second, then into you. He froze once he was back into himself.
Dios mio.
You stood a few feet behind Mirabel, exactly like how you were in the picture in his back pocket. Apart from the fact your features had toned slightly in the time you had been gone. You looked older, more mature. More… pretty.
Never once had Camilo thought of his best friend as anything more than such. You were pretty, but he didn’t pay much attention to it until now. Because now, there was something about the way your smile complimented all your features that made his heart beat faster.
“Camilo!” you yelled, breaking the silence spent in staring. Tears brimmed your eyes, as you began to run towards your best friend with arms ready to pull him in a hug. Camilo did the same, nearly knocking over his Tia Julieta’s display of food in his rush to meet your embrace.
You pressed yourself against Camilo’s body, wrapping your arms around his neck so tight as though you felt he might disappear. Camilo snaked his arms around your torso, tightening around your waist and hoisting you up in the air. He spun you around with the purest grin Mirabel had seen since you left. He put you back down as you took each other in another embrace.
They were back. No more just “Camilo” or just “Y/N”, they were back to “Camilo and Y/N”. Exactly how it was always supposed to be.
Once you both finally seemed to process you were finally in each others presence after so long, Camilo pulled away and pressed your foreheads together.
Especially now, Camilo could see the subtle changes adjacent on your face. Your hair framed your face structure, which was more defined now. There was a rose in your cheeks that accompanied the softness of your cheekbones. Your eyes simultaneously met his, causing his heart to quicken. Were friends supposed to make eachother feel this way?
You were wondering the same thing, because you swore Camilo had never looked this good before you left. You had assumed he would change over the year, but you definitely weren’t expecting him to change so much to the point where he was making your heart race significantly faster than it ever had before. His curly hair looked breathtaking in the morning sunlight, which was highlighting the extra freckles on his soft cheekbones. His lips were tinted with a blissed smile.
“I missed you, mi vida,” Camilo muttered lightly, so only you could hear it. ever since the two of you could speak, you had been calling eachother “mi vida”. It was fitting, since you were essentially eachothers lifelines.
Your lips pulled into a smile at the use of the nickname.
“I’ve missed you too, mi vida.”
timeskip !
Of course, you and Camilo had spent the next month together. You roamed the streets similar to how you used to so long ago, and it felt like there really hadn’t been a year that separated the two of you.
But Camilo would be lying if he said there was nothing completely different from a year ago. Because a year ago, never in his life had you made him so nervous or looked this pretty before. When his fingers brushed against yours, it would result in a stuttering of words. The hugs shared between you suddenly felt too intimate for being just friends. Being too close allowed him to see the matching pink tinting both your cheeks.
To put it simply: Camilo Madrigal had a crush on you.
Yet saying anything about this newfound crush terrified Camilo. You were his best friend, and saying anything romantic could ruin the friendship you two had been building for 15 years. Let alone the fact you could reject him, and then the friendship would beyond any doubt be ruined.
Nevertheless, no matter how hard Camilo had tried to convince himself, he knew that he couldn’t push those feelings aside. He liked you, and that was a secret he couldn’t keep. Who was he supposed to talk to about how gorgeous you looked when a smile settled your lips? How long could he continue fighting the urge to lace your fingers with his? And as much as it surprised him to think about it: how long could he resist not kissing you?
Hence, after dinner, Camilo had left you to watch Bruno’s rat telenovelas with Antonio so he could contemplate how to deal with his newfound feelings with Mirabel, Dolores, Luisa, and Isabela. Camilo was sprawled on the couch, tapping his fingers on the cushion anxiously. Mirabel was sewing on the coffee table, Isabela was sitting on a flowery swing, Dolores sat beside her brother, and Lusia was using casita’s moving tiles to workout.
“Theoretically, if I were to suddenly like a good friend of mine, how could I tell her I like her without ruining the friendship?” Camilo asked.
“Is this about Y/N?” Dolores queried.
In response, Camilo went red and quickened the rhythm in which his fingers were tapping. It took all his energy to not shift into you in surprise. “You’re telling me it’s that obvious?”
“Dios mio, primo! Have you seen how red you are whenever she hugs you, or how you’ve been stumbling on your words all the time?” Isabela teased. “Of course que es obvio.”
“Cállate, Isa!” Camilo hissed, however not too loud as to not harm Dolores. “Just answer the question.”
“Why don’t you just tell her you like her?” Luisa suggested between sprints.
“Yeah, I mean have you seen how she reacts when you smile at her?” Isabela agreed.
Mirabel snickers, and pushes some fabric aside to shift her attention to Camilo. “If you’re that much of a coward you could write her a love letter. Make it anonymous so in the 1% probability in which she doesn’t like you back, it doesn’t ruin anything.”
Camilo thought about it for a moment. A love letter would work perfectly; he could confess anything and nothing could go wrong because you wouldn’t know it was him.
“Eres brilliante, Mira!” Camilo shot up from the couch and hugged Mirabel far too tightly. “Los amo chicas!”
Camilo basically bolted up the stairs and into his room, pulling out a pen and a clean sheet of paper. He took in a sharp breath and sat at his desk, poising his pen and beginning to write. He was at it for an hour and was on his tenth piece of paper when he finally composed something that felt right. Camilo reread his letter over and over again, slightly creasing the edge of the paper where his hands held it. Before sending it, he paused in front of his door and read it out loud.
“Querida Y/N,
Everywhere we go, I make it my goal to make you happy- to make you laugh. After every joke I make, I hope my eyes will fall on your laughing figure, buzzing with excitement. As I hear the music that is your laughter, your hair bounces and lines crease beneath your eyes. If i’m lucky our eyes will meet and tigger the cage of butterflies that is my stomach.
I hope one day to muster enough courage to admit, “tu es eres la chica más bonita que existe.” And hopefully that will cause you to smile, because all I really want is for whatever I do you make you happy.
Tu admirador secreto.”
He smiled at the paper before folding it into an envelope and pressing a light kiss to the seal, unbeknownst to the evesdroppers in casita’s living room
“He says, ‘tu eres la chica mas bonita que existe’,” Dolores squeaked with a small smile and wide eyes. The letter reminded her of the poems Mariano would often write her.
Luisa, Isabel, and Mirabel erupt into a fit of teasing giggles, poking fun at Camilo.
“He’s head over heels, dios mio!” Isabela tumbled over with laughter.
Simultaneously, somewhere above Dolores hears the tapping of footsteps and the opening of doors. Bruno’s telenovela paused as Camilo stepped in and said, “Y/N, Dolores told me tu madre said you should go back home. It’s late.”
“Tranquilo!” Dolores hushed her cousins. “Cami is taking her home now.”
timeskip !
“Dios mio, it’s so cold outside!” you shivered, rubbing your hands against your arms. You and Camilo were about halfway to your house. The sun was already beginning to chase the moon above.
Camilo glanced at you before shrugging off his rauna and handing it to you.
“Since you’re so cold, wear this.”
You stood there still for a moment, taking in the sight of Camilo without his rauna. The last time he had taken it off in front of you was when you were both five, and never since then. His collared shirt was uniorned and slightly unbuttoned, as per usual. The sleeves were cuffed to his forearm. You’d be lying if you said you couldn’t feel the blood rising to your cheeks. Why did your best friend have to look so good all of a sudden?
“Y/N?” Camilo waved the rauna in front of your face. “Mi vida? Do you want the rauna or no?”
“Lo siento,” you shook your head while taking the rauna. You pulled it over your neck and draped it over your exposed arms. “Gracias, mi vida.”
Now it was Camilo’s turn to be awestruck. Over the past month, he became head over heels for you, and seeing you in his rauna was adding fuel to the fire. You were looking off into the distance as you began to ramble about Bruno’s telenovela, allowing him to take the time to watch the way your brow scrunched and your hands acted out imaginary aspects to the story. He could watch you do this all day if he could.
At the end of your story, Camilo had realized you’d already arrived at your house.  Instead of letting him leave, you led Camilo up to the portion of roof that sat under your bedroom window so you could sit and watch the sun pursue the moon It was a gorgeous sunset, and Camilo had a feeling he knew why there wasn’t a single cloud in sight.
Camilo watched as you stared at the view. He almost started shapeshifting right then and there, due to how perfect you looked under the sunset and with his rauna on. The euphoria he felt in that moment alone rivaled all of Pepa’s sunny days combined. His eyes scanned your figure and landed on a yellow flower strangled in your hair, matching Camilo’s rauna. It must’ve gotten stuck there while you climbed the walls of your house, as Isabela had grown flowers all over the town’s houses just yesterday.
“What are you staring at, mi vida?” you glance at Camilo and stifle a giggle.
“You have something in your hair… do you want me to get it out?”
“Oh!” you patted your hair self consciously and nodded. “Sure.” Thank god the sky was pink, for if it wasn’t, your blush would be much more visible than it already was.
Camilo pulled his hand out of his pants pocket to reach for the flower, but in doing so, an envelope fell out of the pocket and between you and him.
No, no, no, no, NO-
Camilo shifted into Pepa, Mirabel, Isabela, then you in a panic. He jumped for the letter; however it was too late, because you had already picked up the envelope and begun to examine it.
“What’s this, ‘Milo?” you tilted your head slightly. “It has my name on it?”
Camilo was just about to reach out to grab the envelope and prevent you from seeing the contents of the envelope, but he stopped himself.
“You know what? You should open it. I’ve actually been meaning to give it to you.”
You gave him another smile before gently ripping the envelope and unfolding the letter inside. Camilo gave you a couple minutes to read it, watching as your smile widened.
But when you looked up, Camilo saw tears accompanying your smile.
“Y/N? Mi vida?” Camilo scanned your body, fingers hesitant on touching you incase you didn’t want him to. He mumbled a curse beneath his breath. “Did I do something wrong? Lo siento, do you not want-”
“‘Milo,” you let out a small laugh and guide his hands to cup your face. “This is beautiful. And I’m glad you feel this way, because I do too.”
Camilo let out a breathy sigh of relief. “Really?”
You nod while Camilo uses his thumb to wipe your tears. When there’s not a single trace of shed tears, Camilo leans forward and presses your forehead against his.
“Tu eres la chico mas hermoso que existe,” you said with the shadow of a smile.
Camilo snickered, leaning forward slightly. You watch as his green eyes trace your lips. You nod a wordless yes, allowing Camilo to press a chaste kiss to your lips. The feeling makes you giddy; you to let out a light laugh.
Camilo pulls back openmouthed, processing the fact he just kissed his best friend and it was the best damn kiss he’d ever had.
You start to quickly press delicate kisses to his freckles. The boy laughs as the blush on his cheeks flourishes. After you finish giving kisses to his face, you return to the position of leaning your foreheads against each other.
“Te amo, mi luna,” Camilo whispers.
“Mi luna?” you question, cocking your head.
“Well the sun can’t live without the moon, can it? Eres la luna a mi sol, Y/N; I can’t live without you.”
“Te amo tambien, mi sol,” you shift to lean your head against Camilo’s shoulder. A contented sigh left your smiling lips as you shut your eyes.
A couple minutes pass. Camilo tapped your shoulder and watched as you stirred awake.
“You should probably go home, mi luna.”
“I’m already home, mi sol. Home is with you.”

˗ˏˋMON AMOUR´ˎ˗
Tumblr media
︰୨୧・꒱ ────IN WHICH: Y/n receives a little valentines gift, who could it be from?
‹𝟹 %: inspired by the song ‘mon amour remix’
˚ · . camilo madrigal x fem!reader.
Tumblr media
The warmth of the morning sun softly kissed Y/ns skin, waking her from her slumber. Her e/c eyes fluttered open, registering the light of the sun seeping through her bedroom window. A loud groan escaped her throat, not wanting to get up for this special day.
Today is Valentines day, a celebration she absolutely despises. She never received gifts from other people romantically, it made her feel unloved. “Y/n!” Her sibling called out, startling the sleepy girl.
“Uh coming!” She shouted back, quickly standing up to do her casual morning routine. She threw on her usual outfit and cleaned her room before speeding out of her room.
“Yeah?” Y/n questioned, snatching an empanada and taking a big bite of it. Her sibling smirked causing Y/n to shoot them a confuse look. “what?” She asked, confusion all over her face. “check the mail” They replied, patting their sister on the back and exiting the house.
“weirdo” She mumbled while grabbing the mailbox keys, walking out of the front door to do what her sibling ordered her to do. Her dainty hands put the keys in the box lazily, opening it.
Her brows furrowed as she glared at a small love letter. It must be for her sibling, right? Either way, she ignored the thoughts and grabbed the pastel pink envelop. She noticed a red heart in the middle of it.
So slowly, she opened it, eyes searching for a name. Who sent this? The question is unsolved. Her fingers traced against the unfamiliar unique and messy writing.
Y/n noticed small doodles on the paper. Her orbs grew larger as she began to read each word quietly.
Dear Y/n,
Happy Valentines day :) i know you don’t know who this is from but i just wanted to tell you im quite choked with tenderness for you, mi amor, it makes me feel a bit pathetic falling for someone i’ve never even talked to. i only admire your beauty from afar, it’s stupid. i’ve never grown the guts to speak to you. your purity gets me so nervous, makes my pumping heart skip a beat every time i glance at your e/c eyes. my absurd heart calls you, aching in secret. i wish you could notice me the way i notice and analyze all of you.
Y/ns eyes softened at the lovingly words, her heartbeat was beating faster than normal, maybe dolores could hear it a mile away. She urged to find out what lovesick person wrote this for her. Efficacy rushed through her veins as she put the note back in the envelop.
She walked off to town, she knew somebody who could know her unanswered question.
She took a deep breath in after the two steps in front of la casa madrigal. Her hand raised, she knocked on the magical houses front door which opened in seconds. “Oh, hello! Um.. I’m here to see dolores madrigal?” Y/n asked, smiling awkwardly at a shocked curly haired boy.
He wore a yellow ruana, a white button up underneath it. His eyes were a hazel green color and his face was detailed with light freckles. “I- uh yeah, that’s my sister. Come in” He stuttered out anxiously, moving away for the girl to enter his home.
She stepped in, looking around, amazed at the gifted house. “Camilo i told you- Oh my god! Hello, is this the famous Y/n Dolores was talking about?!” A ginger woman approached Y/n, a sun appearing above her head. The freckled boy behind her groaned in embarrassment.
“Mama! She’s looking for my hermana. Do you know if she already left with Mariano?” Camilo asked while his face was burning pink. “Y/n, i’ve heard so much about you! Mr. Camilo speaks about you-” She spoke, ignoring her sons remark.
“Haha! I think i know where Dolores went!” Camilo said loudly before grasping Y/n wrist and leading her upstairs to his sisters room. “Uh? That was weird” Y/n chuckled while the boy leading her was blushing pink because of the physical contact.
“Dolores!” He shouted while he let go of the confused h/c girl. He barged open her bedroom door but noticed it was empty. “Shoot. She left with her boyfriend since it’s, y’know...” He trailed off. “Valentines day. Yeah, i understand. It’s just that something crazy happened today and i needed her help but it can wait” She smiled softly at the brunette.
“Oh? What happened?” Camilo curiously questioned. “I received a love letter, it was adorable, but i don’t know who it’s from” She explained as the Madrigals eyes widened at her words.
He rubbed the back of his neck uncomfortably, not noticing his prima Mirabel walking up to the pair. “I know who it was” Mirabel teased, a smirk forming on her lips. Y/ns eyes glistened up at her. “Really? Could you tell me?” She pleaded. “Of course!” Mirabel replied.
“M-maybe you should wait for Dolores incase Mirabel here doesn’t actually know!” Camilo neglected quickly. Y/n raised an eyebrow at the boy while Mirabel did the same.
“The letter is from Camilo” Dolores peeped from across the hallway. The doe eyed girl squeaked and rushed away, hands intertwined. Mirabel winked at the pair and walked off. Y/n gave Camilo a confused face. “Who’s Camilo?” She asked causing the mixed boy to let out a sigh.
“It’s me, y/n. I wrote the letter. I understand if you don’t feel the same way-” He ranted, eyes glossy but his sentence got interrupted by the beam feeling of plump lips against his. The tingly sensation like an explosion of fluttering butterflies just launched in his stomach causing him to loose all nerves and kiss back. Their lips moved in sync, as if they were made for each other.
They soon pulled away from the dreamy scene, chests rising up and down rapidly. “It was cute, y’know” She winked teasingly and connected their hands. Camilo stood there, speachless until she leaded him down casitas stairs.

Feliz Cumpleaños - A Camilo Madrigal One Shot
He/him for Camilo unspecified/gender neutral for reader
18+ DNI, minorsssss
----
In which Camilo and the rest of the family celebrate your birthday.
Pure fluff ❤️
----
(quick note, I use masculine -o at the end of gendered words, but you can read it however you like, if any native Spanish speakers have tips on making these terms fully gender neutral that'd be amazing!)
----
You never really made a fuss about your birthday, never really seeing a need too. You at most would treat yourself to your favorite dessert or a simple dinner.
But this being your first birthday since you started dating Camilo, he already planned the entire day.
"Amor, you don't need to do anything. Ok?"
"But it's a day for me to celebrate you, and only you. Sure, I celebrate you every day, but this one is special."
"Camilo..."
"Please? If you really don't want me to do anything i won't, but please?"
"Fine, just don't do anything too crazy alright?"
"Of course mi flor!"
----
That was a week ago. Now you were getting ready for your day, as you had just woke up.
The second you step out your door however, you see your novio standing there smiling, holding a beautifully painted pot of your favorite flowers.
"¡Ay, cariño! ¡Feliz cumpleaños! ¡Toma!"
"Amor? These are beautiful! ¡Gracias!"
"¡Sí, flores hermosas por mi amor hermoso! And the pot is from Mirabel, she painted it herself."
"Did Isabela grow the flowers?"
"Nope! She taught me how to grow them myself."
"How long have you been growing them?"
"For a few months now."
"woah-"
"Here-" he quickly takes your hand and starts leading you down the road, and through town. In response the townspeople waved at you two, some shouting Feliz cumpleaños to you.
"Where are we going amorcito?"
"You'll see!" He said, poking your nose, then continued to lead you.
Eventually you two found yourselves in the forest, next to a beautiful stream.
"Tada!" He said, throwing his arms up, presenting a small messily decorated area of the forest.
"You said you didn't want anything too big. So it's just you and me. Well. Until dinner, Abuela y mis padres insisted we throw you a birthday dinner. Don't worry, it's just la familia. "
With that you both resorted to spending the few hours, chatting, and goofying around. From singing and dancing, to playing in the water.
For a little bit he told you to wait, while he ran off to get something.
He returned with a woven basket in his arms, careful not to spill it he ran back through the trees.
"Lunch?" He says, slightly out of breath as if he ran the whole way.
He pulls out your favorites, quickly setting a lunch time picnic for you two.
"I helped tía Julieta make them, it's why it's not quite as perfect as always-"
"Ay, Milo, these are amazing, mmh" you mumble, hand over your mouth.
"Relly? Thank you! Well. It's more towards mí tía, but I helped so I'll-"
"Camilo, it's wonderful, Thank you!"
After a little more time spent, mostly cuddling, in the forest, Camilo started to pack things up.
"I'm sure dinner will be soon, come on cariño!" At this he helped you up, and lead the way once more back to la casa Madrigal.
As soon as you entered the house, the family greeted you with a loud "¡Feliz cumpleaños!"
----
Dinner carried on as it would any day, rather than a big celebration, disregarding the special meal made specifically for you. Everyone happily chatting away, food being passed around, and Camilo sneaking food off your plate and onto his, covering up his thievery with small kisses or hand squeezes.
Dolores however was quick to shut down his whispering stunts.
"Hermanito, if you finish that statement I'm going to make sure you don't speak for a month. Shut it." She'd whisper, then promptly shove some food into his mouth.
Once dinner finished, everyone sat down, giving you special gifts, including a duet sung by Dolores and Mariano, wishing you a wonderful day.
Camilo quietly sat back and watched. Seeing you and his family together, and how much they loved you and you loved them in return, made him beyond happy. To just you with his family was a treasure. Forget shape-shifting, his real gift was you. Given to him, with no real reason, he didn't deserve you that was for sure. You were a miracle.
Once you'd received your gifts from everyone, and they all sort of settled down for the night, he quickly pulled you away.
"Ay mi vida, eres tan bonito, ¿como lo hacés?" He whispers, pulling you in for a hug
"Magic my dear." You say, poking his nose.
He basically melts at this.
"One last gift, mi hermoso. Close your eyes. "
"You spoil me, amor." You mutter as you do as he said.
"It's my job." And with that, you feel him gently take your hand, and tie a small band onto your wrist.
"Ok, open!"
Your eyes fall directly onto the bracelet, with his name crudely stitched on it, and a small chameleon next to it. On his own wrist you now notice one with your own name, and your favorite flower accompanying it.
Though to someone else this may seem like a silly, childish gesture, you knew the heart he had put into making sure that you'd be happy. And of course you were. Even without the gifts, and the party, and just the fact he thought of you today, was enough to fill you with joy.
He smiled at you, as you admired it.
"Now I'm always with you, you see. And you're always with me."
And with that, you simply fall into his arms, hug him, and whisper "Gracias por todo."
"Of course, feliz cumpleaños, mi flor."

Encanto Review
Tumblr media
SPOILERS IN THE REVIEW
Hello I am going to be reviewing Encanto. I finally was able to get around to watching in this weekend with my mom. Much like In the Heights, this movie may or may not have cause a semi identity crisis for not being as connected to my cultural roots as I feel as I should be. For reference I'm Puerto Rican and Colombian. Which honestly I found really cool cause Lin wrote the songs, so I felt really excited to see the work.
I think the movie was absolutely adorable and hit many emotional nerves in me. The scenes with Alma yelling/getting angry with Maribel just trying her best like bestie no. Also in the scene in the gif above^ broke my heart especially with the whole symbolism of like Mari being literally in the shadow. The fact they just kept her hidden the whole ceremony, shout out to Antonio who is a ray sunshine. The music was amazing, and honestly hit different when I payed attention to the lyrics. Like the first verse in Waiting on a Miracle...I was basically a cry baby in a theater of children. I spent the first few minutes joking about how Pepa doesn't really look like she was their child cause she was a whole ginger, but her and Bruno look related so. We don't talk about Bruno was the one song I didn't cry over because its a whole bop. Also I won't shut up about how good the songs Lin writes especially when they layer.
Honestly maybe cause Pepa's family wasn't the main focus but their children seem more put together. If there happens to be a show (WHICH I WOULD APPRECIATE SO MUCH DISNEY) I would love to have more in depth on their side. I've never been happy to see a cartoon family so diverse in color and the fact it was reflective of my family *chefs kiss* Like seeing Isa's, Antonio's, and Bruno's rooms makes me wander what the other rooms look like? Also how did Dolores handle hearing Bruno, like did she think she was just hearing stuff or just didn't speak on it for her mom's sanity. Don't think I forgot about Camilo cause that is another ray, would have loved to see him a little more and honestly I feel like Bruno and Camilo may be close personality wise. But that could be cause they're both wearing ruanas.
Don't even get me started on Dos Oruguitas because I think just thinking about it will make me break down. I personally think its better than the beginning of Up but I only say that cause I don't cry seeing the montage. I was upset with Alma but by the end I understood that she was hurting to, and THE SYMBOLISM that she never took off her black mourning shawl until after she was able to move on at the end.
Things that made me laugh/happy, the coffee addict kid. I'm trying to be that active. Finding out Felix is voiced by a Castillo (which is my last name). My mother's face when I told her Mariano was Maluma.
I would also like every one to know that I was emotional before the movie started cause of the short they showed called Far From The Tree. Who knew I would understand everything the raccoons were saying. Honestly the first few seconds I thought it was gonna be about the raccoon in Pocahontas.
Anyways I hope you enjoyed my thoughts don't shy away from sharing yours!

summary: you went for a quick swim in the river to ease your nerves and never came out.
Tumblr media
You were completely tired out from the day. Running to and from the shops in the town completing your chores for your family, you decided that you wanted to blow off some steam.
It had gotten dark outside by the time you made it to the river. You stripped of your clothes, leaving you only with your undergarments as you slowly made yourself into the chilly water. That night was chilly and windy, making the water flow much too quickly for your own liking.
Now you were at shoulder length in the water and were starting to second guess yourself. Maybe you shouldn’t have come out here at this time. Maybe you should have just gone back to your bed and laid there, that would have been much safer.
Unbeknownst to you the current had pulled you in deeper in the river, very near the waterfalls.
You started growing scared as you moved - or rather were moved - right under the waterfalls with a force you couldn’t fight back against. You wanted to make an effort to get out of there though. You had to try at least.
You started pushing yourself against the current, putting all of your strength to swim out of the force that was pulling you behind. Your arms swung in large circles and your feet were thrashing against the water as you grunted, trying to keep pushing. After a while your arms and legs started giving out on you but you couldn’t let that stop you. You willfully pushed through the tension resting within your muscles as you started the same motions over again.
You thought you had it when you had moved quite a bit away from the waterfalls and let your feet touch the rocks. Big mistake.
You slid on one of the rocks and your body lost control, falling backwards in the water towards the current. The current pushed you against the waterfalls once more but you were completely caught off guard this time.
Your head got submerged by the extreme force of the water running on your head but you fought against it. Everytime you rose you went back down again. You had given up fighting physically, this time tried the alternative of shouting and screaming for help. You knew no one was around that area at that time but it was enough for you to know that maybe a certain Madrigal had heard you. You swallowed a great amount of water every time you came back up to shout for help.
A violent cough rose from your now water filled chest and that split second that you stopped resisting to cough, you were pushed once more to the back.
Your head made strong impact with the rocks behind the waterfall, the current continuously pushing your body against them. Slowly you felt the world get dimmer, blurrier. The forest became just spots of color and of black and white. And finally with one last strong blow to your head, you lost your consciousness for good.
Dolores had heard your screams. She dropped the plate she was holding on the floor with a loud crack echoing throughout the kitchen of the Casita. Julieta, Mariano and Camilo looked at her distraught figure breathing heavily. Then without a second thought she ran out of the Casita and towards the riverbank. Mariano wasted no time in chasing his girlfriend, occasionally shouting her name to grab her attention. Camilo and his tía Julietta followed suit. They needed to know where she was going and most importantly: what had happened that caused her to act like this.
On the way to the river Camilo and Julieta got lost, instead, ending up deep in the forest.
Dolores panted as she tried to make it in time, hoping nothing bad actually had happened to you and that maybe she had just heard wrong. She hadn’t realised the tears flying off her face from the velocity of her run. Making an abrupt stop she found herself in front of the chilly water, staring into her own reflection with pure fear in her bloodshot eyes. Mariano soon stopped right next to her and turned to look at her utterly confused.
She scanned the river trying to find you - or what remained of you.
“Dolores what’s this?” she heard her boyfriend ask from behind her. She whipped her head to look at him, eyes slightly widening by what he was holding.
He was holding your shirt.
“Y/N!” she started screaming, eyes not leaving the piece of fabric Mariano was holding.
“Y/N?” he asked, glancing down at the shirt in his hand with confusion. Only when he saw Dolores already in the river, splashing around frantically did he connect the dots.
“Y/N!” the couple screamed together around in the river, trying to get you to answer or try to locate you. They didn’t really know what to expect at that point, but they both hoped to hear your voice call back to them.
That small hope that had been briefly ignited within them had been quickly extinguished when Mariano found your limp body floating underneath the waterfalls.
He rushed into the current, scooped up your body and threw onto the riverbank with a loud thud. That immediately caught Dolores’ attention, causing her to let out a small squeak.
The couple embraced your limp, bruise filled body. Your head was resting on Mariano’s lap and your wet hair being softly caressed by a crying Dolores.
“I can’t hear their heartbeat...” the Madrigal let out in a whisper. She continued to caress your head softly, tucking a few of your wet strands behind your ears in the process.
They were both immensely saddened by the loss of their dear friend, Dolores more so than Mariano.
The super-hearing Madrigal heard her tía and her brother come to the clearing of the riverbank through the forest. She didn’t have the courage to look at them. Especially not her hermanito. She didn’t have the guts to face him while he discovered that his s/o had... she didn’t even want to say it.
“Dios mio...” Julieta let out in pure shock as she laid eyes on you. She immediately reached out to her pockets and pulled some bite sized arepas ready for healing. She bent down in front of your face, held your mouth open and stuffed the arepas in your mouth.
“Tía... it’s useless. They’re gone.” Dolores wiped her tears. She heard Camilo sobbing behind her, he was standing on top of them as his eyes never left you.
“No!” he screamed a broken, heart wrenching scream as he collapsed right next to you. He cradled your head, lifting it away from Mariano, whispering “wake up!” and “don’t go! don’t leave”. He slapped your face a couple of times, hoping that you were just playing a cruel prank on him.
Your now purple lips said otherwise.
With his right fist he started beating up his chest, letting out violent sobs and screams in the process. His tía took him into her arms, trying to comfort the poor boy but how could she when she felt the exact same?
Camilo coughed from the tears and mucus that had accumulated in his throat, all while continuing to beat himself up for how this night turned out. If only he had accompanied you here, maybe you wouldn’t have died. Maybe if he was here earlier he could have saved you. Maybe, maybe, maybe...
His head felt like it was about to break from the pressure he felt, his heart felt like it was on fire and his throat felt like he was stranded in the desert. He felt like utter shit. But in his mind, he deserved it because he wasn’t worthy for you. He wasn’t there to protect you and now that you were gone, he was at blame for it.
He tenderly kissed your forehead over and over again until Mariano had to pull him back. From an - unnoticed from him - signal from Dolores, Mariano started dragging Camilo away from the scene, with great difficulty.
“Mi vida, mi vida, mi vida....” Camilo let out in short, frantic breathes. His vocal chords weren’t willing for him to speak.
“I’m sorry querida, I’m sorry.”
“I love you, mi amor. I love you, I love you, I-” he hiccuped and stumbled from Mariano’s grasp. He looked up towards the night sky, the stars and moon staring back at him. “Mi luna...”
“We’ll see each other again mi luna, please wait for me.”

You’re just like me pt.8
Camilo Madrigal x female!reader
Disclaimer: I don’t speak spanish, I apologise for any grammar mistakes.
A/n: This series is actually ending soon!
Tumblr media
“Alright, see you tonight?” Camilo said as he gave his girl a basket of bunuelos. Y/n nodded as she put her arms around him to give a quick hug. Tonight was Mariano’s proposal to Isabella. Abuela had invited Y/n to join as well and who was Y/n to refuse free food? Camilo thought that the duo doesn't seem right with each other but if that's what Abuela wanted, then they have no choice but to do it. Just as they separated from each other, Mirabel walked past. Y/n asked if she was okay but Mirabel shrugged her off, muttering something about going to Bruno’s tower to investigate under her breath. Camilo didn't hear anything but Y/n had changed her ears to bat ears to listen better. Y/n looked at Camilo and he shrugged, not thinking much about his cousin.
Earlier, when Y/n was hanging out with Camilo, she had asked about Bruno and his whole family started saying that Bruno is someone who shouldn't be talked about. It seems that Bruno caused despair everywhere he went with his future vision. Camilo exaggerated that he had a 7 foot frame, rats along his back and that he sees people’s dreams and feats on their screams. Y/n was a little sceptical at first, but when he realised how serious they were about Bruno, she wondered if such person existed. After watching her walk down the hill, Camilo went to his room to prepare for the evening's event.
It was already evening and dinner had started. Y/n sat between Camilo and Dolores. Y/n was no empath but she felt the tension between Dolores and Mirabel as the younger Madrigal stared at Dolores while scooping food on her plate. Just as Isabella shoved a plate of muffins in front of Mirabel, Dolores turned to Y/n and whispered to Y/n about Bruno’s vision. Y/n was so shocked that her mouth turned into a chicken’s beak and she clucked loudly. The whole table whipped their heads at her as Camilo rubbed her back. She laughed nervously and changed back, coughing chicken feathers out her mouth.
Now it was Y/n’s turn to play the staring contest with Mirabel. What's worse was that Mirabel was sitting right in front of Y/n. She had never been much good at keeping secrets, so she was tapping her foot nervously on the floor, pretending to smile as she looked everywhere except at Mirabel. Seeing her nervousness, Camilo asked if everything was okay with her. Y/n only nodded. When Mariano gave a plate of avocados to Mirabel, Y/n took this opportunity to tell Camilo. When he heard it, he shifted into Mirabel, then to Bruno and to a distorted version of himself. Y/n took his hand into hers and whispered to fix his face. He coughed and it was back to normal. Isabella then passed down the water, only for Camilo to tell his father, His father spat out his water and it sprayed all over Mariano. His father then told his wife and the message finally reached Mirabel’s mother. Y/n only sighed as she knew the dinner would only go horribly.
Mirabel managed to convince Mariano to propose but things only became worse. Somehow, just somehow, Bruno’s vision tablet ended up on the dinner table and in front of Abuela. Y/n examined it closely and saw Mirabel in front of a cracked Casita. Just then, all hell broke loose. Casita started to crack, and everyone’s powers seemed to be failing them, except Y/n’s of course. Y/n didn't know what to do but suddenly she felt Camilo’s hand become bigger. She looked to her left and saw that Camilo shifted into a man but a baby’s head replaced his normal one. When he made eye contact, he grew a moustache. Y/n would laugh but she bit it back considering the situation. The Guzmans left in a panic state while Abuela hurriedly shouted that the magic was still stronk. After that, the Madrigal family left the dining room. Camilo moved a few steps forward when he noticed that Y/n wasn't following him.
“Hey, you okay?” He whispered for the second time that night.
“Huh? Yeah, yeah I’m fine. You go ahead, I’ll be right behind ya,” She replied, rubbing his hand with her thumb. A soft smile appeared on Camilo's face as he stepped outside to see what was happening.
Y/n took a deep breath before joining her lover outside, only to be interrupted by rats carrying Bruno’s shattered tablet. Y/n glanced outside and saw that the Madrigal was in a frenzy state so she figured that they wouldn't notice if she was gone for a while. She changed into a rat and followed them. They went into a hole and through a few tunnels when she reached a room. The room had a chair, a table and a few clothes were hung on a string at the back of the room. Y/n climbed the table and she saw chalk lines drain on it. There were words too. It took her a few minutes to figure out that it spelled out ‘Bruno’. So, Bruno was real after all. An old, shaggy man entered the room with Mirabel following him behind. That man must be Bruno.
“So, you’ve never left,” Mirabel said.
“W-well, I left my tower, which, as you know, has a lot of stairs. And here, eh? Kitchen adjacent! Ooh, Ooh, plus free entertainment!” Bruno said as he picked Y/n up and placed her that looks like a theatre with another rat.
“So, what do you like? Do you like sports? Game shows? Telenovelas? Their love could never be,” He said, as he put cards with holes that fit Y/n’s head nicely.
“Only three shows? Must be boring,” Y/n spoke up, forgetting that she was still in her rat form. The Madrigal duo looked at you, one with a look of surprise and another with a smile.
“That rat, he can talk?!” Bruno shrieked as he took his broom, wanting to smack the talking rat with it. Mirabel pushed back her uncle while trying to convince that Y/n was a human too.
“First things first, old man, I am not a rat,” Y/n said. “And second,” She continued while changing back to a human, “I’m a girl,” At  this point , Bruno looked like he was about to faint but he managed to hold on. Mirabel started asking her tio about the vision and they started to have a serious conversation. Y/n played with her furry friends and did not join the conversation as she felt that it was rude to pry on a family matter, yet she listened to it from far. When Bruno explained, she finally made sense of what had happened and that his family and the people were wrong about him and he was just misunderstood.
“Or maybe I’m wrong. You know, it's a mystery. That’s why this vision is-pfft.” Bruno said as he pushed Mirabel and Y/n out of the door.
“Look, if I could help anymore, I would, but that’s all I know. Good luck, I wish I could see more,” He said as he closed the door. Mirabel sighed and her shoulders slumped. As Y/n patted her back, she had a crazy thought. Y/n grabbed Mirabel’s hand and kicked Bruno's door.
“You wish you could have seen more, then see more! Have another vision!” Y/n said, as she marched towards Bruno. Mirabel caught on to her friend’s idea and joined her as well.
“Look, even if I wanted to, which I don’t, you wrecked my vision cave. Which is a problem, because I need a big, open space.” Bruno protested.
“We’ll find one!” Y/n exclaimed.
“Where?” Bruno asked and there was silence upon them. It did not occur to the teenagers that an open space would be hard to find and they don't have much time. All of a sudden, a young voice broke the silence.
“Use my room,” Antonio said, as he and his animals filled Bruno’s room.

Franco’s Remains Are Exhumed and Reburied After Bitter Battle https://nyti.ms/33V3TvB
44 years after his death and after a yearlong judicial battle, Franco is leaving the giant mausoleum that he built. Ahead of a repeat national election, the dictator's exhumation has also turned into a heated political dispute.
Valley of the Fallen was built by a Fascist dictator as a monument to himself (he later rebranded it as a monument to reconciliation) using the labour of Republican convicts. Many outside Spain might wonder why it has taken so long to address this. The answer: post-war politics.
Franco’s Remains Are Exhumed and Reburied After Bitter Battle
The removal of the dictator’s remains from a basilica near Madrid, weeks before a national election in Spain, was denounced by some for stirring painful memories.
By Raphael Minder | Published
October 24, 2019 Updated 11:06 AM ET | New York Times | Posted October 24, 2019 |
MADRID — The Spanish government on Thursday exhumed the remains of the former dictator Gen. Francisco Franco from the underground basilica that he built after winning his country’s civil war. The move had prompted criticism that, coming just two weeks before a national election, it would reopen old rifts in Spanish society.
Franco’s remains were flown by helicopter from the basilica where he was buried in 1975 to a cemetery near Madrid that contains a family crypt where his wife is buried and that is beside El Pardo palace, which Franco used during his rule.
The exhumation and reburial followed a yearlong judicial battle between the caretaker Socialist government of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and relatives of Franco who had sought to reverse the decision.
Mr. Sánchez said on Thursday that the exhumation would “bring an end to the moral insult that is the exaltation of a dictator in a public space.”
The government said the exhumation would cost about $70,000. But Pablo Casado, the leader of the opposition Popular Party, said last month that not “one cent” should be spent on exhuming Franco, who governed the country for almost four decades.
“I’m more worried about living dictators than dead ones,” Mr. Casado said. “I would like to speak about the Spain of my children rather than that of my grandparents.”
The exhumation took place ahead of a repeat national election on Nov. 10. The vote — the fourth in four years — was called after Mr. Sánchez and his Socialist party won the last election in April but then failed to garner sufficient support from smaller parties to form a government.
The most recent polls show that the Socialists are set to win next month’s vote, but the gap with the Popular Party has narrowed this month amid an outburst of separatist street violence in Catalonia. As was the case in April, the polls suggest that no party will come close to a parliamentary majority, an outcome that would set off another round of complicated coalition talks.
The exhumation and reburial of Franco lasted about five hours. After his tomb was opened, his remains were carried out of the basilica in his original coffin by his relatives and then flown to the cemetery amid heavy police security. Francis Franco, a grandson of the dictator, sought to take a Spanish flag from the Franco era with him into the basilica, but was stopped by the authorities.
“They want to give the impression that my grandfather is nowadays on his own, but that is not the case,” he told reporters.
Ahead of the exhumation, a foundation dedicated to Franco’s memory had urged sympathizers to pay homage to a leader who “did so much for Spain and its greatness.” In the end, a few hundred people gathered close to the cemetery, among them Antonio Tejero, a former army officer who led a failed military coup in 1981, more than five years after Franco’s death.
Juan Chicharro, the president of the Franco foundation, told Spanish national television that the exhumation was “a surrealist show” that had turned Mr. Sánchez into “a grave defiler.” As Dolores Delgado, the Spanish justice minister, left the cemetery, some sympathizers of Franco shouted insults at her.
The cemetery also contains the remains of several former ministers in Franco’s regime, as well as those of Rafael Trujillo, who governed the Dominican Republic for three decades until his assassination in 1961.
Mr. Sánchez promised to exhume Franco after taking office in June 2018. But his plan was delayed by legal challenges from the dictator’s relatives, who eventually lost their case before the Spanish Supreme Court.
The exhumation also turned into a heated political issue amid further party fragmentation in the country. Vox, an ultranationalist party that won its first seats in Parliament in April, strongly contested Franco’s removal from the basilica.
But associations that represent the victims of Franco have expressed hope that the exhumation will clear the way for an overhaul of the mausoleum, known as the Valley of the Fallen, which took 18 years to build.
The monument, which is maintained using state funds, is one of Europe’s largest mass graves. At least 33,000 people were buried there after the civil war, including those who fought for Franco and others who sided with his Republican opponents.
It also contains the remains of prisoners of war whom Franco used as a labor force to build the mausoleum and basilica. About a third of the remains are unidentified, despite relatives’ efforts to locate their missing loved ones.
In a televised address to the nation on Thursday, Mr. Sánchez said that Spain “owes a debt” to the families of victims of its civil war, as well as to those who later died while fighting Fascism during the Second World War.
He promised to take further measures to help identify and possibly also exhume the thousands of people buried without their families’ consent in the Valley of the Fallen, as well as the dead that now lie “in the thousands of unmarked graves that are found across our country.”
“It is an intolerable aberration that must be confronted with resolution,” he added.
Nicolas Sánchez-Albornoz, a former Republican prisoner who was made to work on the construction of the valley but managed to escape from the site, told Spanish television that Franco should long have been treated “like his accomplices, Hitler and Mussolini.”
“Spanish democracy has lived until now in a contradiction, by tolerating the cult and worship of a dictator who barred democracy,” he said.
Last year, Mr. Sánchez said Franco’s exhumation should form part of a broader effort to revive a 2007 law that was intended to facilitate the opening of the more than 2,000 mass graves scattered across Spain and to identify the remains of those inside, most of whom died during the country’s civil war of 1936-1939.
The law was passed by a previous Socialist government but was later shelved and deprived of state funding by the conservative government led by Mariano Rajoy.

Confronting its troubled past, Spain exhumes (Fascist Dictator) Franco
By Clara-Laeila Laudette, Ashifa Kassam | Published October 23, 2019, 6:12 PM | Reuters | Posted October 24, 2019 | VIDEO |
MADRID (Reuters) - Cries of “long live Franco!” accompanied the laurel wreath-draped coffin of General Francisco Franco on Thursday as Spain removed the remains of its former dictator from the state mausoleum where he was buried in 1975.
Hailed by acting Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez as a step toward national reconciliation, the exhumation was the most significant move in years by Spanish authorities to lay the ghost of the general whose legacy still divides the country he ruled as an autocrat for nearly four decades.
Sanchez said the unearthing of the coffin and its reburial in a private grave - a transfer that Franco’s family had sought to block through the courts - would strengthen Spain’s democratic credentials.
“Modern Spain is the product of forgiveness, but it can’t be the product of forgetfulness,” Sanchez said in a televised address. “A public tribute to a dictator was more than an anachronism. It was an affront to our democracy.”
His Socialist Party, which faces a national election next month, has long sought to strip the huge monument in the Valley of the Fallen of its status as a memorial to Franco.
It was built on the dictator’s orders and contains the remains of combatants from both sides of the civil war he unleashed in 1936.
Around 500,000 people were killed in three years of conflict between Franco’s nationalist rebels, backed by Hitler and Mussolini, and left-wing Republicans.
Tens of thousands more were killed or imprisoned in the ensuing dictatorship that lasted until his death decades later.
In Thursday’s ceremony, rich with symbolism of a bygone age and witnessed only by relatives and a small group of officials, Franco’s coffin was taken from its tomb as crowds of media and onlookers gathered outside.
Family members carried the coffin to a waiting hearse which transferred it to a helicopter for the short flight to the Mingorrubio cemetery north of Madrid.
There, to a backdrop of supporters chanting his name, Franco’s remains were taken into the family vault for reburial next to his wife in a second private ceremony.
The exhumation is “intensely symbolic for Spain”, said political scientist Pablo Simon, “because the (Franco) monument has always been connected to those who miss the old regime”.
MEDIA BLACKOUT
Seeking to play down its repercussions, the government had enforced a media blackout and forbidden Franco’s family from draping his coffin with the Spanish flag.
But in a gesture of solidarity with his ancestor, his eldest grandson and namesake Francisco Franco carried a Franco-era nationalist flag into the valley mausoleum, Reuters TV footage showed.
Relatives then decorated the coffin with a victor’s crown of laurel leaves, a woven cloth bearing the insignia of the family’s ducal coat of arms and five roses representing the Falange party that formed the core of Franco’s nationalist government.
The ceremony and its symbols highlighted how deeply the political and social divisions over his legacy still run.
Shortly after his death, in an effort to ease the transition to democracy, Spain passed a pact pardoning political crimes committed under Franco. It was not until 2007 that the then Socialist government promulgated a law seeking to recognize those who suffered under his dictatorship.

A poll in newspaper El Mundo this month showed 43% of Spaniards favored the transfer of Franco’s remains while 32.5% opposed it.
In an interview with Reuters on Wednesday, the dictator’s grandson accused the government of engineering the exhumation “as propaganda and political publicity to win a handful of votes before an election”.
Albert Rivera, whose center-right Ciudadanos party abstained in the parliamentary vote to ratify the coffin’s transfer, said on Thursday that almost two-thirds of Spaniards had not lived or suffered under Franco.
“The bones of a dictator who died 44 years ago should not be a government’s priority in my opinion. The only silver lining is that (acting Socialist Prime Minister) Pedro Sanchez will stop talking about Franco’s bones,” he said.
But the dictator’s burial alongside his victims in the Valley of the Fallen had long raised critical questions among historians and campaigners, including 93-year-old Nicolas Sanchez-Albornoz.
“It was time (to move him). It was overdue,” said Sanchez-Albornoz, who as a prisoner of Franco’s Fascist regime was forced to help build the Valley of the Fallen.
“We’ve waited many decades for (him) to disappear from this monument, which ... was the shame of Spain. All the dictators of Franco’s ilk have vanished from Europe — Hitler, Mussolini — and were not honored with such tombs,” he said.

Factbox: Reactions to Spain's exhumation of former dictator Franco
Reuters Staff | Published October 24, 2019, 7:24 AM | Reuters | Posted October 24, 2019 |
MADRID (Reuters) - Spanish dictator General Francisco Franco’s remains were exhumed on Thursday from a state mausoleum outside Madrid where they had lain since his death in 1975, for reburial in a private family vault.
The Socialist Party that is currently in power had long sought to remove Franco’s bones from the Valley of the Fallen. The huge monument was built on Franco’s orders and contains the remains of combatants from both sides of the 1936-39 civil war that he unleashed.
Franco’s nationalist legacy still divides Spain and its political parties. Following are reactions to Thursday’s transfer, which an El Mundo opinion poll this month showed 43% of Spaniards favored and 32.5% opposed.
Acting Socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez:
“Modern Spain is the product of forgiveness, but it can’t be the product of forgetfulness.
...A public tribute to a dictator was more than an anachronism. It was an affront to our democracy. Ending it was an obligation for the generations that did not grow up with the trauma of the civil war and dictatorship.”
Carmen Calvo, acting Deputy Prime Minister:
“The exhumation of Franco’s remains should make us reflect on what it means for our country’s own image and for democracy. Young people should understand that we can never again be without democracy.”
“We are the country with the second-highest number of disappeared people and that is unacceptable in a full democracy like ours.”
“In due course, the Valley of the Fallen will be a monument to honor, to the memory of the people who are there, and finally to justice for everyone, for both sides.”
Conservative PP party leader Pablo Casado:
“The past stays in the past... On (election day) November 10, we won’t vote on our past (but)... on our future.”
Pablo Iglesias, leader of left-wing party Unidas Podemos:
“Today, no party has the right to talk about victory or to take credit. No justice has yet been done for (Franco’s) victims. Today is the day to thank the associations of victims and the remembrance groups that have pushed and will continue to push for dignity and justice.”
Albert Rivera, leader of center-right party Ciudadanos:
“Sixty-five percent of Spaniards... did not live and suffer under Franco. The historic day was the day the (post-Franco) constitution was approved.”
“The bones of a dictator who died 44 years ago should not be a government’s priority in my opinion. The only silver lining is that Pedro Sanchez will stop talking about Franco’s bones.”
Santiago Abascal, leader of the far-right Vox party:
“Sanchez goes beyond junk TV with this electoral and corpse- scavenging show... The dead are respected, whether they are called Franco or (leftist icon) Pasionaria.”
Franco’s oldest grandson, Francisco Franco y Martinez Bordiu:
“I feel a great deal of rage because they have used something as cowardly as digging up a corpse, using a body as propaganda and political publicity, to win a handful of votes before an election.”
Onlookers in the cemetery where the remains are due to be reburied:
Jorge Alvarez, 24:
“I think what the government is trying to do is outrageous. I am here to protest and to prove that a quite big proportion of Spaniards are against what the government is trying to do.”
Maite Garcia, student, 16:
“They should not have moved him, because he died 44 years ago and if he’s there he’s not bothering anyone. If they bring him here, I don’t care but obviously I think he did bad things, very bad things, but also good things... It’s time to leave things alone. He’s dead, no matter what he did.”
Guillermo Barra, student, 16:
“I visited a year and a bit ago with my grandparents, to see Franco’s tomb before it disappeared... Seeing the tomb filled me with respect and it made me think that this man did a lot of things, rather bad things, and to see him there so human... makes you think.”
Ian Gibson, historian and expert in Spanish Civil War and Franco:
“Franco has been an ogre in a disgusting mausoleum. Today is the day of liberation.”
Baltasar Garzon, former judge who tried to open an inquiry into Franco’s crimes:
“Today a historic barbarity comes to an end.”
Emilio Silva, chairman of the Association of Historical Memory, the main national organization campaigning for Franco’s victims:
“The removal of the body of the dictator from the Valley of the Fallen marks the first time that General Franco’s biographical and symbolic journey ... is forced to obey an order from a democratic society, after 80 years of uprising.”
“The 1,500 kg gravestone that crowns his tomb is like the plug in a drain that can flush out the enormous number of structures and infrastructures that have survived throughout these 40 years of post-Franco political culture.”

Spain exhumes late dictator Gen. Franco's remains
BY CIARAN GILES | Published October 24, 2019 | AP | Posted October 24, 2019
MADRID (AP) — Spain has exhumed the remains of Spanish dictator Gen. Francisco Franco from his grandiose mausoleum outside Madrid and flown them by helicopter for reburial in a small family crypt north of the capital.
The government-ordered, closed-door operation on Thursday satisfies a decades-old desire of many in Spain who considered the vainglorious mausoleum that Franco built an affront to the tens of thousands who died in Spain's Civil War and his subsequent regime as well as to Spain's standing as a modern democratic state.
After his coffin was extracted from under marble slabs and two tons of granite, a brief prayer was said in line with a request from Franco's family before the coffin began its journey to its new resting place 57 kilometers away (35 miles).
Spain's interim socialist prime minister, Pedro Sánchez, said the exhumation "puts an end to a moral affront that is the exaltation of dictator in a public place" and that it was necessary now to begin the process of identifying the thousands of Franco victims who were also buried at the mausoleum.
"It's an infamy that has to be repaired," he said.
The dictator's body was carried out of the mausoleum, and taken by helicopter to Mingorrubio cemetery where his wife is buried. The helicopter arrived at a nearby military area and the coffin was placed in a hearse to be driven the short distance to the cemetery for the reburial.
In a bid to guarantee privacy and avoid the actual exhumation operation being videoed and posted on social media, the government banned cameras and mobile phones among the 22 Franco family members, government authorities and workers allowed into the mausoleum.
Fearing disturbances, the government banned a demonstration against the exhumation by Franco supporters at the Mingorrubio cemetery although some 500 people, some waving Franco-era flags and symbols and chanting "Viva Franco" gathered near the cemetery while police looked on. They shouted insults against Sanchez as the helicopter arrived.
Macarena Martínez Bordiu, a distant relative of the dictator, said she felt "outraged" with what was happening and accused the government of "desecrating a tomb."
The exhumation and reburial will not put an end to Franco's legacy on Spain's political scene, since it comes just weeks ahead of the country's Nov. 10 general election.
Franco ruled Spain between 1939 and 1975, after he and other officers led a military insurrection against the Spanish democratic government in 1936, a move that started a three-year civil war.
A staunch Catholic, he viewed the war and ensuing dictatorship as something of a religious crusade against anarchist, leftist and secular tendencies in Spain. His authoritarian rule, along with a profoundly conservative Catholic Church, ensured that Spain remained virtually isolated from political, industrial and cultural developments in Europe for nearly four decades.
The country returned to democracy three years after his death but his legacy and his place in Spanish political history still sparks rancor and passion.
For many years, thousands of people commemorated the anniversary of his Nov. 20, 1975, death in Madrid's central Plaza de Oriente esplanade and at the Valley of the Fallen mausoleum outside of the capital. And although the dictator's popularity has waned immensely, the exhumation has been criticized by Franco's relatives, Spain's three main right-wing parties and some members of the Catholic Church for opening old political wounds.
The exhumation was finally authorized by the Supreme Court in September when it dismissed a months-long legal bid by Franco's family to stop it.
The exhumation stemmed from amendments of a 2007 Historical Memory Law passed by Zapatero's government that aimed to seek redress for the estimated 100,000 victims of the civil war and the Franco era who are buried in unmarked graves, including thousands at the Valley of the Fallen. The legislation prohibited having Franco's remains in a public place that exalted him as a political figure.
Having been unable to press ahead with the exhumation last year, Sánchez wanted the exhumation and the reburial completed by the Nov. 10 election, a move that opposition parties say smacks of electioneering.

Thinking about the fact Julieta's basically keeping Mirabel locked in this bone-crushing hug. I need soft things.

HEADCANON: Little Mirabel spent so much time with Julieta that she started copying her in many things. One of those things was repeating words/phrases she used the most, and often she was just in-sync with Julieta. So just imagine Julieta and this 3-4yo Mirabel sighing and saying at the same time “Ay Agustín” whenever he got hurt.

It’s so good. Wish they kept some dancing scenes with family members others than Pepa and Félix 😭 We deserve this Agustín and Julieta’s dance!
