State of the Archive

Our archive’s header has been updated thanks to enabling by @solarisone. >.> I don’t know anything about that.

In more serious news, we’ve had an incredibly busy week! As you can see below, we’ve had a lot of new people join us, bringing over stories to archive. We’ve had some new faces on our chat server starting with a D, too! I’ve added some community resources under the Community Toolbox FAQ. If you’re planning on joining us, please read the tagging/posting FAQs/Rules, as we are very much not AO3 about that.

All in all, the archive is running well. I’ve got kudos up and working correctly, finally, and while we still have some minor annoyances (the times/dates populating incorrectly on dashboards or browsing pages), everything’s running stable right now and should continue to indefinitely.

There is still a Review Hunt going on until the end of the month: A chance to win art or cash! Right now, Gibraltar and DavidFalkayn are the only participants, come give them a run for the money!

Weekly Challenge #9 - Juneteenth

Our writing challenge this week is in honor of Juneteenth and is therefore the celebration of Black Star Trek characters. So, write a piece between 100 and 700 words in honor of the holiday and the amazing Black characters we’ve gotten from Trek over the decades and add it to our archive collection!

• Non-agere/petre blogs are welcome here, as long as you are appropriate & are sfw, especially with our& littles, so don't tell them anything you wouldn't say to an actual child or a teenager. This space is closely monitored by caregivers & protectors of the Imaginarians Galaxy & we& will not hesitate to protect them.

• We& typically don't lose intelligence when regressing, our& thoughts may become childlike, however, we're& still aware & we're& physically bodily still adults. We& do have a system member who is a baby, though. Most of our& littles know how to stand up for themselves as do our& middles but it's important to note that they're still children & teenagers respectively.

• Tonetags are not only preferred but highly encouraged, if not required most times!

• We& sometimes voluntarily regress for fun, as a form of escapism or to recreate the childhood we& never had or the very least never remembered having, sometimes our& involuntary regression is in default mode where we& could be having a whole adult conversation & we're&, like, 4 in our& head but the overwhelmingly vast majority of the time, we& regress involuntarily to cope with stress, mental illness (notably c-ptsd, social anxiety, autism, adhd, bpd, etc.) and/or trauma. This isn't about using regression for sexual gratification and/or submission at all; this is for either voluntary regression or involuntary regression & for our& littles & middles. There are never any rules, age limits, gender restrictions or guidelines to what regression looks like, & not all of us& are happy go lucky. We've& been regressing for a long time without even realizing it & although we& don't have any specific community, we& enjoy the overall general community & are grateful for it.

• We're& a flip (for y'all who don't know what that means, that basically means someone who switches between a regressor & a caregiver) but are the vast majority of the time regressors. Entry 3: eSports Event(s).

eSports and video game competitions have become a well-recognised sports entertainment in today’s sporting community (Funk et al., 2018). eSports is a specific type of sport that is run by electronic systems such as video gaming consoles, which pro and amateur players compete to win (Hamari & Sjoblom, 2017). The competitions and programs include multiple components such as; shooting and aiming skills, strategy play, and traditional sporting games (Hallmann & Giel, 2018).

The AEL has a University Elite Series that is a competition within the Australian eSports league that demonstrates the level of elite eSport talents from University teams and students within the country (Australian eSports League, 2020). The top university eSports teams are invited to compete in the AEL University Elite Series to compete in games such as; Rocket League and CS: GO to provide fans with a high-level of talent and competition (Australian eSports League, 2020). All footage of the series will be provided, including live updates, highlights, every match covered through the use of social media coverage (Australian eSports League, 2020).

Another Australian eSports League is the Acer High School Cup, which is similar to the AEL University Elite Series as it provides students with a league to perform their skills and seek an outlet to participate in ambitious video games-based sporting events (Australian eSports League, 2020). The Acer High School Cup offers high school students with a platform to portray their cognitive skills, communication, team building and sportsmanship through the use of competitive video gaming leagues (Australian eSports League, 2020). As well as working with high school students the Australian eSports League have partnered with the Cure Cancer Cause to fundraise cancer research initiatives by providing a fraction of the student’s participation fees to the cause (Tiltify, 2023).
