After much soul-searching I've decided Roy likes Mou a lot among all the managers he's played for. YES, he is a total cunt BUT

Actually, I've thought long and hard about Richmond's derby rivalries. Semi-canon sources say they have a bit of a West London rivalry with Brentford BUT to me it doesn't make much sense because Richmond are supposed to have been mid-table in the Prem for years, top-flight but mediocre. Brentford only made it to the Prem in 2021.

Actually, I've decided that Richmond kind of take the place of QPR for most of their history, except they didn't get relegated when QPR did. This is because 1) it'd be too many London-based clubs otherwise but, more importantly, 2) when Man City won their first title in 2012 with Agueeeeeero!!! that was against Richmond. It's funny, To Me.

Also you know Roy still fucking hates Newcastle from his Sunderland academy days. If his pundit career had lasted longer he'd be having top tier shithousery with Alan Shearer every week about it.

I want to start adding text descriptions to stuff i reblog, do you have any advice? is there a guide or something you use, the style of your IDs is very nice.

hey! thats great that you want to start writing IDs. I've reblogged guides before and ill tag this post with the tag they're in (image descriptions) so its easy to browse!

in addition to those other resources, here's some guidelines i personally keep in mind, & what i structure different IDs like.

for text transcripts: source & type of image, author, date if possible. here are some pretend/template IDs:

ID. a twitter screenshot from user @.[username] dated [date] that reads: "[tweet]." End ID.

i put the period after the @ symbol so it doesnt try to tag a nonexistent (or unrelated) user on this site, and a screenreader will just pause there briefly.

ID. a photo of a page from the book [name] by [author]. text reads: [transcript]. End ID.

if the OP cited the author/book/source, you can just do "Transcript: [text]. End transcript."

for actual images:

type of image is really important!

photograph, edited photograph, reaction image, edited reaction image, painting, digital painting, digital drawing, etc. you should always put what kind of image it is.

keep in mind the purpose of the image!

if its an art piece or a photo of one, its good to describe the medium, style, colors, and subject.

if it's a reaction image or other meme, you don't have to describe the surroundings in loving detail. the "point" of the image is enough.

if its a photograph, it might also be an art piece, or from the news, or someone sharing their pet. the amount and kind of detail again depends on the point of the image.

don't make judgements or assumptions!

dont describe things as badly drawn or badly photographed- and on the flip side, dont describe things as cute or beautiful. describe whats in the image, not how it makes you feel. if you love a certain part of how a photograph is framed, or how the light is painted in a piece of art, say that specifically. "beautiful" means nothing! do you mean realistic? vibrantly colored? "cute" means nothing! do you mean in a cartoony style? or that the subject matter is a cat, which many people find cute? be specific!

dont make statements about the gender or race of the people in the photo or art piece, especially if it's real people (like a news photo) unless you know those things as a fact (celebrities, fictional characters, people you know personally, people where it is mentioned in the article the photo is from). you can just describe things like hair length, skin tone, etc. exceptions to this rule imo are stock photos- eg if im captioning my favorite stock photo of all time, cyber woman with corn, i am going to describe it as "a stock photo of a white woman in a futuristic silver and black wraparound visor, wearing a silver bodysuit and cradling an ear of corn near her face and smiling slightly."

here are some example descriptions, all from images i have on my phone.

ID. a photo of two cats laying head to head on someones outstretched legs, which are under a blanket. one cat is an orange tabby, and the other is a gray and white splotched tabby. End ID.

the point of this image is my cats- im not going to spend time describing the blanket, the couch, the stuff you can see in the background, bc it's not relevant to the image, and adds nothing.

ID. a photo taken through a rainy window at twilight, with the camera focused on the raindrops on the glass, so the lights in the houses across the street are out of focus. the lights reflect on the wet pavement in a warm yellow glow. End ID.

i took this the other night bc i thought it looked cool how blurry it was- id consider this more of an "art" photo, so im describing the aspects of the framing etc that make it that- i wasnt just trying to show how rainy it was, but to take a photo in an interesting way, so those traits are "worth" describing.

ID. a photo of an acrylic painting done on a cardboard packing envelope of a city street at sunset, all the building windows reflecting gold. there are purple fluffy clouds in the sky, lit from below with peach and gold. the USPS tracking number barcode is still visible in the gap between houses at the end of the street. the brush strokes are very visible, the perspective is wonky, and the orange underpainting is visible at the edges. End ID.

this is a new ID for something i painted and already posted and i dont feel like getting the old ID. medium, style, and specific details i think are important are included. the perspective being wonky is a bit of a value judgement i wouldn't make about Other people's art, but it's my own and i think its an important detail so!

ID. an edited catcrumb comic, showing a simple mspaint illustration of a cat happily sorting things into piles with the caption, "sort sort. i love to arbitrarily sort." the cat has been colored in gray and its ears have been colored like homestuck troll horns, and the sorting piles replaced with some classpect symbols. End ID.

this is a good example of a edited image- its important to give (to some degree) a sense of what the original image was, say that its edited, and describe the changes. i dont need to list the classpect symbols i put on there, bc its not relevant to the message of the image- it would do nothing but make the ID longer.

oh- and to cap off the post- here is cyber woman with corn:

Hi!

First of all, thank you for everything you do for the fandom. I always love your screenshots + meaningful text combinations, they are so good! Thanks to you I have also added some new amazing songs to my playlists (Dark Horse and Anti-hero included).

I have a question and a song to share. First goes the question: do you happen to know any, just ANY tdp fanfiction which explores the what-if scenario where team Zym loses the Battle of the Storm Spire? If not, it would be great if you shared your own thoughts about it. Like, what if Viren & Aaravos succeeded in draining power from Zym? What would happen then? I tried to find something on Ao3 but all I got was a couple of works focused entirely on Viravos or something about reincarnation. Which is fine but not exactly what I am looking for.

I'd also like to share a song with you. It's Storm by Blackmore's Night. As the title suggests, it's about the storm and I've been fascinated with this song for a few years now. Maybe you'll like it too :)

Aww thank you so much, that is so sweet!! I can't think of any fics or headcanon posts I've seen like that along those regards, but I do have a tag for canon divergences in general and one for my specific explorations.

I think the biggest thing to consider would be if Zym was successfully killed or not.

1. Zym lives

This means the kids can potentially, if frantically, flee, with Janai and Amaya and any other surviving Sunfire elves being captured. Soren and co. could go looking for other archdragons (I'm sure Rayla would've heard of Rex Igneous) or Earthblood allies who would either worry about the encroaching invasion and/or recognize Zym as the future heir and advocate for his sovereignty. The biggest change here is that Lux Aurea is like, even more devastated, and I could see Janai being executed bc she's the next heir, but who knows

Kids come back six months later with an Earthblood army (also don't think the monster-humans would survive or thrive well long term, so that depletion could be over time) but it may not even matter, depending on what Aaravos' endgame (release?) was for harvesting Zym in the first place

2. Zym dies

This one is trickier, as it leaves us with a very heartbroken Ezran (the mind/soul link so recently formed and so brutally severed) and with no draconic heir. As long as Zym was alive, the kids would have hope, so with him gone I think they'd be very dejected (and of course, grieving their friend). I could see Ezran falling into a depression of sorts, just because he'd probably blame himself for his handling of the kingdom's troops, and he was the closest to Zym. Callum would delegate more time/thought to his brother as a result, leaving Soren and Rayla to maybe bond a bit more in terms of leading the group and figuring out what to do next, bound by the goal of keeping the remaining princes alive until they can figure out a plan. (Callum would also probably get his hands on a dark magic book, Just In Case, because I don't think he'd been willing to hold anything back now that he and particularly Ezran are Viren + Aaravos' #1 targets, in terms of eliminating any kind of uprising).

I could see Rayla bringing everyone back to the Silvergrove, as it is cloaked by illusions, and they can still interact with objects even if no one can see them, so it's kind of the perfect place to hide. Then maybe Callum and Rayla would go look for again, arch dragons or possible reinforcements, leaving Soren to look after Ezran when they'd do reconnaissance, since Rayla is their Xadian guide and Callum doesn't want her to go alone

This would probably be more of a slow build, and I could see them travelling to Duren as well (which, I suppose Aanya would be captured and executed for treason against the Pentarchy, just because Viren could - although I could see Claudia feeling bad/awkward about executing a girl who's not much younger than herself? Unexpected imprisoned Aanya and sympathetic conflicted Claudia bonding? Opeli gets executed, hopefully Corvus escapes). But yeah, two years before they can come back and take the throne, and I could see Callum and Rayla both becoming a bit more cut throat because they've had two years of like, protecting Ezran at the forefront, and surviving in the wild long term when you're hunted fugitives is just a different kind of experience. Ezran, because of their sheltering, remains just as kind, but he's much much Sadder in his day to day presentation, and that never entirely goes away

Depending on whether the Illusion stabbing happened - and let's just say that it didn't - I could see Claudia trying to reach out to and track down Soren, convinced she can get him to come home now that 'his side lost' and 'there's nothing left for him there anymore, can you get over your identity crisis and come home'. So I feel like Soren would actually probably be Angrier at Claudia in his scenario here than he is in canon, just because he sees more of the long lasting destruction and doesn't have victory to make him worried about his sister

Feel free to send in other asks and thoughts about this lil scenario (either one), it's definitely an interesting one to consider! Or any other canon divergences, really - I have a tiny list of ones I know I want to write drabbles for at the very least

5 “no-skip” albums

okay i have to preface this by saying that i will almost always have the potential to skip songs just based on my mood. i don’t think i have any albums that i would truly never skip any of the tracks of, bc a good album encompasses most of the spectrum of emotion but often times i only want to feel a certain subset of emotions so i skip songs even though i think they are good. maybe this is very normal and i don’t need to explain this. but just in case. sorry

shinee - the shinee world - 2008

obv i had to put a shinee album in here somewhere… so hard to pick but i went w their first one bc it’s the most ~timeless~ despite the clear retro-y sounds.. the past few years i find myself coming back to it a lot even when i think some songs on different albums are a lot stronger. who else (in korea) in the last 10 yrs has been putting out debut albums like this? no one

yoga lin - fiction - 2012

i started listening to this album in 2014-2016? not sure exactly, but it’s had a grip on me ever since. the range between tracks is so good, and 浪费 (unrequited) and 傻子 (fool) are two of my songs of all time. this was only solidified when i finally got to see him in concert a month ago - really artistic and beautiful and so so cathartic to have the whole audience sing along together for like every other song :,)

kenshi yonezu - stray sheep - 2020

i don’t have a v deep backstory for this one or whatever tbh… adding this one in here for a little more genre variety but also i do rly like his music. i heard lemon in 2019, got obsessed w it, and then started listening to his discography in like 2020 after the pandemic started and i needed more upbeat music i didn’t understand to listen to while working. the vibes in his songs are always gr9 and also great driving music

hua chenyu - new world - 2020

found huahua some time in 2020 as part of my newfound chinese renaissance exploration or whatever haha. before then i wasn’t very familiar w a lot of chinese music beyond a handful of more famous artists, bc i didn’t Grow Up listening to that in my household and i didn’t have a great idea of where to explore online apart from youtube, but i found this album on spotify and became even more obsessed when i started watching all his tv performances. some people don’t rly like him bc of his ~scandal~ w zhang bichen which i understand n agree w to some extent but artistically he is really special and i’m always blown away by his live performances even tho i watch through a screen. he’s like kind of a crazy artist and i respect the way he channels it so much. his music is so good and this album was like, part of a Shift for me! wao

jonghyun - the collection story op. 2 - 2017

putting this one last bc it’s the most significant to me. i can’t listen to poet | artist often but i come back to this album more frequently. comforting and feels like a hug. and i’m always, always grateful that i was in seoul in summer 2017 and was able to go to two of his final solo concerts in july and see these songs live. 덕분에 내 평생이 따뜻해 💙

re:your post about the she/her-ing of enstars characters! i just wanted to provide A Perspective on it. i recognize this probably isn't everyone's perspective and i don't want to claim to speak for everyone but i figured providing a perspective could maybe be helpful in some way and i do like thinking about fandom behaviours critically yknow! for me at least i tend to refer to characters with she/her if they're ones i specifically headcanon as transfem/mainly using she/her pronouns or if it's specifically requested by op of an art/etc and i'm reblogging it and adding commentary in the tags. for me the regulars are ibara/mayoi/sometimes hokuto or tomoya or hiyori, with veeery occasional one-offs of other characters . which is a fairly small group of characters in the grand scheme of things! but if everyone in the tag was doing that for the small group of characters they personally have those headcanons for, then eventually at some point it'll go around to every member of the cast. that might be part of why it seems to be oversaturating the tag; there's a lot of unique people here on enstarsblr with their own unique interpretations of the characters' genders.

another thing i think is worth pointing out is that since the characters for the most part in canon are cis men, it's not going to be as visibly obvious when someone headcanons a character as transmasc, since for the most part a transmasc version of an existing enstars character will be referred to similarly as they would be in canon. unless op specifically states it, there's no way of knowing if the he/him they're using to refer to an enstars character is meant in an adhering-to-canon cis way or an i-hc-this-character-transmasc way. i personally headcanon every iteration of nazuna, natsume, or jun that i talk about as transmasc, but that's not going to be as visibly obvious as my ibara/mayoi/etc. headcanons because there isn't a difference in pronouns between canon and the headcanoned version of them that exists in my head.

additionally, i'm asian - which has a big effect on how i personally approach trans enstars hcs, because my view on gender + the social structures informing it is directly informed by my lived experience as a trans asian person. i've personally lived through a LOT of microaggressive feminization sourced from the general feminization of the 'East' and asian people and bc of that (+ my general interest in studying gender + related expression as a social construct) i can say that i, at least, am critical of those potential sources of headcanons because of my personal experience and awareness of them. i can't guarantee this for every enstarsblr blogger obviously but idk. you can't know a person's entire lived experience and why they have the headcanons they do just by seeing them use she/her for a character consistently. i do think that you're bringing up a good point in that asian men - and in particular the specific kind of 'soft' masculinity that asian idols generally try to achieve - are overly feminized by the west, and it's definitely a good thing to keep in mind when making these hcs, but i also think it might be less of a source of these headcanons than we might think. nevertheless i will always encourage ppl to be critical of their own thought processes and think about why they make the headcanons they do!

i hope this uh. i dont know if this will help at all it got a bit long and rambly but i hope the perspective i brought could at least add something to the conversation!

you bring up a very important point that we can't know a person's lived experiences and why they chose to use certain pronouns for a character just from their posts. it definitely would be bonkers to expect people to explain themselves every time they use not-usual pronouns for a character, or to expect them to add disclaimers that they are thinking critically.

(putting everything else under read more bc this made me think a lot. basically lots of thoughts about what it means to engage in fandom with a lot of conflicting interpretations of the work, especially with respect to gender)

i’m sort of thinking out loud here but like. i think it's a. very strange conundrum we face regarding gender in fandom. irl i usually use the principle of "we should just use whatever pronoun the person uses for themself". i’m a huge supporter of prioritising that individual above others who might be uncomfortable using a certain pronoun for a person they coded a different way.

i instinctively use this principle when engaging with fiction too, but. "use whatever pronoun the person themself uses" does not necessarily work in fandom because the characters themselves aren't real; they won't feel dysphoria from us assigning them genders or misgendering them.

i think we should prioritise readers' experiences. but sometimes that reader experience involves headcanons and certain degrees of projection that makes interpretations diverge quite a bit. i'm not saying that projecting on characters is wrong, it’s quite the opposite; i know it can have very transformative and constructive impact on how the reader thinks about things and i 10/10 support it.

but it’s like. which interpretation do you privilege? can they even coexist? it’s not the same as more inane headcanons like “nazuna always cooks fried rice for others bc it’s the only thing he can actually cook”. (this is wrong, by the way. source: Trust Me [this is a joke, i’ve never actually given nazuna’s cooking skills much thought, despite being tumblr user nazuna-tunnel-vision. i don’t actually have thoughts about this. he does cook fried rice for ra*bits on multiple occasions though and they all love it. sorry for the sudden nazuna fun fact intermission. i couldn't help it])

gender headcanons inadvertently become a lot more personal and political. i can just ignore or skim over whichever fic or post that incorrectly talks about nazuna being terrible at cooking and still enjoy other nazuna-centric posts by that person. but i can’t really do the same for posts with differing interpretations of gender bc i’ll be reading normally and then get smacked out of the immersion with “???! the pronoun??”

i'm a little. sad and miffed about this because i think people who assign non-usual genders to characters tend to be very enthusiastic about these characters. i sure would love to read what they have to say and to bask in that energy, but i truly do not enjoy the physical sensation of being metaphorically hit in the face every time i come across a pronoun i did not expect to be used for that character.

and i know that this reply has already gotten plenty long but i’m also starting to wonder how much of me preferring people to stick to the pronouns that i’m used to comes from a place of privilege or conservativeness. there is my concern about people needlessly feminizing men who aren’t Buff Hollywood Male Men, but also the majority of my reply so far has basically just been “man i would prefer if people just stuck to my interpretation of gender where i can see it :/”. it reminds me a lot of straight pride and the protection of prevailing gender norms - you know, when people are homophobic and transphobic not necessarily because they’re evil and want to actively want to repress people, but because they’re personally uncomfortable with it. they just don’t want to see it and be made uncomfortable. the whole political stance of, “i don’t care if people want gay sex - they can do their own thing, it’s none of my business. but i do NOT want them to demand marriage equality where the rest of us can see it”. because marriage & the law is in the public sphere and isn’t easily blocked out. obviously these things are not of the same severity because we’re talking about headcanons about fictional characters here, but you get the idea.

in hindsight i do wonder if my previous post should be archived because it does sort of send the message that it’d be nice if people change the pronouns they use for everyone-sans-arashi in the public enstars tag. like yeah it would be nice for my personal fandom experience, but i don’t want people in the tag to feel like they have to censor their words to make others in the fandom comfortable - especially if their gender headcanons for characters help them to explore their own conceptions of gender. or if it just makes their engagement with the story more fun. you guys have my full support even if the she/her-ing of enstars makes me instinctively flinch and bang my knee on the table every time i come across it. i will grit my teeth - or find some way to mute or block you guys if it really comes down to it - but never change!!

the topic of the privilege of comfort & the fact that i flinch at the she/her-ing mostly because of how it conflicts with my own interpretation of the characters also makes me wonder - is it the same for you when you come across people using he/him for characters that you identify as using she/her? since from your perspective, we are misgendering them.

my current guess is that it’s a little different because he/him is generally the more popular & mainstream interpretation. so you might be more aware of and prepared for he/him misgendering. or you’re simply more accepting of different gender interpretations because that was already your starting point to begin with. it probably doesn’t hit you out of the left field like it always does for me. i think! i dunno.

or maybe the characters’ gender identities are like little secrets between you and the character. so looking at people who misgender them might instead make you go, “haha look at this idiot who doesn’t know”. (i’m not sure if it’s appropriate to bring this up in a discussion that unexpectedly became pretty serious, but i think that’s a fun way of engaging with fiction and fandom.)

if there is a difference in the way we react to gender interpretations different from our own, i think it might reflect, to an extent, the way people irl deal with queerness and the whole sentiment about how being queer is valid, but somehow not valid enough to be seen in public (like at gay pride) or in the public sphere (like in laws). again, how we address fictional characters really doesn’t have the same gravity or consequence, but i think the sentiments behind it might be similar.

(another possible explaination is that i unfortunately need to touch grass because i'm taking headcanons and fictional characters' genders too seriously. can't cross that out!)

one thing i really like about dreamwidth over tumblr is that it’s so much easier to socially interact with other people without feeling like i’m being invasive

on tumblr, it’s pretty much taken for granted that adding a comment to someone’s post is the internet equivalent of walking into their house and shouting “here’s what i think!”. it’s not inherently an annoying behavior, but if you’re gonna do it to someone you don’t already know well, you’d better have something really funny (or useful, or important) to say

replies are less invasive (but only by a Little) because they’re not As public, but they’re still very much “hello let me Share My Thoughts on Your Post” and also have a Very Small character limit, so they’re not the best place to discuss anything complicated or get to know people

tags don’t count as “social” interaction imo because they’re pretty much unidirectional (from tagger > person they reblogged from and tagger > op, and never the other way around, bc of How Tags Work) and also bc there’s a General Social Understanding that tags are for “private” commentary, inasmuch as you don’t typically respond to someone else’s tags in replies or comments unless they ask a specific question to which you have the answer, and if you reply to their tags in your tags then they’ll probably Notice and Feel Appreciated but there’s not exactly a convenient way for them to respond to you about it, and imo this one-sided quality of tags-as-interaction influences the way tags are typically written

and DMs are fine; they don’t technically have a low character limit but in practice, the size of the messages that people send is limited by the size of the messaging interface; it’s just not designed to be a good place to have long, discursive conversations. (it’s designed for sending memes. a noble cause, but again, not the most effective way to form meaningful social relationships, in my experience.) also they’re limited to 2 participants, and Also also my personal read on the “invasiveness” of DMs is that they’re kind of like walking into someone’s house and like, sticking a note on the fridge, which isn’t super annoying in and of itself but could definitely start to feel weird if someone you don’t know well does it a lot.

anyways, so this is my List Of Reasons Why I Don’t Feel Particularly Comfortable Socially Interacting In-Depth With People I Don’t Know Well On Tumblr

COMAPARATIVELY, on dreamwidth, the culture is much more permissive (& even inviting!) of people showing up on a random post that a relative stranger made and being like “hey i have Thoughts on this too”, and the formatting of comments allows for in-depth discussions to occur (if people want to do that) with Multiple Participants even, and Without anyone feeling like they’ve barged into someone else’s bedroom uninvited, because if the poster didn’t want comments, they have Several privacy tools available to make sure that only the people they feel comfortable doing so can see or comment on the post

basically i wish more people would get on dreamwidth because it’s so much more of a community-oriented space than tumblr is, simply due to differences in the architecture.

and this isn’t to say that I don’t like tumblr, (i do, i’m here all the time, lol), just that it’s difficult to form genuine connections and friendships in fandom on this website for me, and therefore i’m marching for my cause of “everybody get on dreamwidth” sharing some thoughts on Why this is and also noting the ways that dreamwidth makes those “issues” a non-issue on their platform, which is why Everybody Should Consider Getting On Dreamwidth.

ok for sure adding verna from the fall of the house of u.sher and bc i just did a bunch of research my brain is buzzing and i want to write this draft lol so heres a small dump of just some thoughts and hcs so far. please be aware there are spoilers below :)

TLDR; read the bold text :)

what is she? i think that's the question i'm still trying to answer. but the most i can akin her to is...a god. she would never say that though. her answer would be: fate. but verna has been here since the beginning of time. she may even be time herself. i'm deeply inspired by the fact that the raven is associated with god and chaos across multiple religions and cultures. in native cultures for example, the raven can be seen as the creator and/or a trickster god. which i think lines perfectly with what we see in the show. in hinduism the raven is associated mahakala (the god time, creation, destruction and power) and shani (the god of karma, justice, and retribution) also attributes we see in verna. in norse mythology, ravens are associated with odin, the all-father, as his trusted ears and eyes, providing secrets and happenings of the worlds he guards. in the quran, the raven "teaches" cain how to bury a body and in the bible, the raven is often associated with god, god's power, and were even considered forbidden to eat. again all stories i see really fitting with verna's character. and theres so many coincidences across these depictions - to be so closely associated with the idea of creation, judgement, and godliness... really proves what she is to me. i mean I CAN KEEP GOING , this is the kind of stuff I LOVE. i loveee digging into cultures and religions and reading the folklore and texts that i can find. so i'll stop there bc i think you get the point now LOL

but is she good or evil? she's neither. she just is. there's a quote in the very beginning of the show made by eliza that i think fit this idea and depict verna so well: "he's complicated...like god." and "pain and suffering are like the kiss of jesus." both of these quotes i think fit the previous of idea of what she is and how she can be thought of as a god. and you know i may not believe in the same god (reminder i'm a hellenic wiccan) but i do know that gods are complicated! in every depiction across every religion and culture. god and gods and goddesses are complicated. i do like to think tho that she is inherently good, like her name tag suggests in episode 3 :)

powers i mean what can't she do? she can do and be pretty much anything and everything. she is crazy op (i do not plan to write this though lol so please no worries about godmodding) just...be aware she is truly all powerful and all knowing? she knows the future (admittedly in the show), she know who you could've been, who you were and who you are right now. she can be in multiple places at once. she's crazy powerful. that said her favorite shifts are the human shift you see in the show (yay carla gugino!) and a raven bc...yeah! look at the ABOVE lol she's been everywhere since the beginning.

so why bargain? why not? i mean admittedly she's bored? and she's chaotic as well as good. but remember i said previously, verna would answer she's fate. and in my opinion she is fate twisted by horrors of humanity. in the later eps she goes on different rants about morality and human selfishness and how she doesn't quite understand it but she finds it so interesting. i think yes obvs shes a lil twisted to do what she does - but there's still a sense of righteousness with her actions. so she's morbidly curious about the horrors humanity is capable of. and she likes to witness it just as much as she likes to witness true kindness and sincerity. (as seen with lenore and her mother and even with the entire bargain with the twins: she wanted to see what they would do when given everything they ever wanted: good or bad?) again i think this all plays into the my idea of what she is: why bargain? bc she can and she's curious. so why not?

Not going to add on to this post by @datsderbunnyblog bc that would defeat the point,but like They’re right. I’m generally not a fan of accusing anyone of “derailing” posts bc adding on to posts is kind of the point of tumblr and no single person can derail an entire post, unless they’re like... the first person to reblog it and/or have wayyy more followers than op. But that’s not what they’re saying here.

They’re saying ADHD allistics as a group derail posts by autistic people too often and yeah, thinking about it, yup that’s a pattern that I’ve seen too, even if I didn’t really take note of it before now. And it makes perfect sense of course - adhd people in general have highly associative brains so we’re gonna very quickly make connections between one topic and another that doesn’t necessarily have all the much to do with the first topic anymore. And there are a lot of autistic issues that you can easily draw a line from to adhd issues, so it makes sense that it would happen a lot, that we see a post about autistic people, make a connection to something we know about and then talk about adhd.

And like. That’s not a problem when a single person does it. One adhd person talking about adhd on a 10000 notes post about autistic people isn’t derailing the post. But the problem is, there’s a lot of adhd people on this site and a LOT of us have the tendency to talk about adhd at anything even midly related because that’s part of how our brains work.

That’s no excuse though. When an issue is brought up, like “hey allistic adhd people stop speaking over autistic people” the solution isn’t to yell about how we can’t help it or about how it doesn’t matter because adhd and autism is similar or anything like that. The solution is to reflect, to say “huh okay I hadn’t considered that” and then next time you want to add on to a post about autistic things with adhd things, to a) think whether that’s really still related to the original post, b) check whether maybe a bunch of other adhd people have already said the thing you want to say in the notes and c) maybe make your own post instead or d) at least leave the comments in the tags. Just reflect for a second before you hit post.

Discussions about the similarities and the differences between adhd and autism are good and valuable, but there’s a time and a place for them and Every Single Post About Autism you see isn’t that.

You’re not an evil horrible person if you’ve done this in the past, hell, I’ve probably done it, because I didn’t really think about it and didn’t know it was an issue. When someone brings attention to an issue, the solution isn’t to get defensive and it’s not to self flaggelate and talk about how horrible you are for having done this in the past. It’s to think and consider how you can change your behaviour to help the issue in the future

Is it me or does it feel like the anime ships Frobin? They keep adding small scenes involving the both of them.

I don’t watch the anime actively but I see a lot of screenshots and... yeah.
