Van life!newsies headcanons

Hello, i have recently been obsessing and/or pining over living in a van/bus. So i will project my pining to my favorite pretty paper boys like what everyone does in the newsies fandom! Very healthy and smart idk lol so here’s my take on this au for each of my ships!

*i know some ppl might not agree with all these ships but these are just my personal favorites pls don’t come after me for something i like :)*

A pretty long list so you might have to sit down for this one

Javid

They converted an old american school bus

I actually have a headcanon that modern!jack comes from a rich family (maybe not the family his parents were born into but his parents worked pretty hard to be successful y’know) so that’s how they were able to buy an old school bus

So they were able to fit in a shower (not one of those foldable kinds) and a built in toilet. A pretty decent kitchen. A stove, oven, microwave, and all the other utilities necessary. Was able to fit both a washing machine and a dryer. Has a proper closet.

To fit davey’s needs, they put in a tiny book shelf. But it’s too tiny to fit in all of davey’s book (he’s got a shelf full) and was forced to give some of them away he cried a little. Jack did the same for his art supplies he cried a lot.

Jack is an illustrator and Davey is a writer. (Davey the hopeless romantic Jacobs mostly writes romance wow what a shocker) If Jack can find the time to paint on a canvas he will. It usually ends up getting sold which he doesn’t mind.

Jack painted every inch of the bus exterior wow we’re all so shocked no we aren’t I lied :) "Jack why...” “We need to be festive when we travel, Dave!” *face palms*

They have one cat which is still nameless in my head so ://

Newsbians

They live in a school bus

Kathrine’s a Pulitzer so you know how they can freely afford it (now that i think abt it i think old school busses sell for really cheap prices but idk)

The shower and closet are a must have for Kathrine. She takes over most of the closet space and takes the longest in the shower. Sarah is a foodie so she built herself a whole kitchen and Kathrine is not allowed to touch anything without her permission. Even fitting in a huge fridge. They also fit in a proper working desk and a couch. Also made some sort of balcony on top of their bus so they can stargaze on top of there

Kathrine is a reporter and Sarah is a physician in the telemedicine industry (she meets patients through video calls and such, not face to face)

Morning coffee is a tradition for them at this point. They cannot drive the bus without having one cup of coffee

They have two cats still nameless too ://

Ikeshot (lmao moving to my rarepairs so quickly. i mean i originally reserved the van life headcanon for them but i got too obsessed and now i’m writing this list hehe)

They settled with a sprinter van

it started just as an idea for their honeymoon to do a road trip around the us, but it ended up being longer than a hundred days of honeymoon and it turns into being their first proper room

Their shower is built in and it can only fit one person. The bed takes up the whole back space. Their closet is kinda small but they don’t mind bcs Ike mostly lives in Hotshot’s clothes anyways. The kitchen is limited but they have a pullout barbeque at the back of their van, under their bed. Hotshot is a master at barbequing.

Ike is a translator and interpreter. He also uses his hobby in crocheting to build a small business he makes cardigans :) (credit to @violetwolfraven for that little idea) Hotshot is an accountant. Very boring ik but i have a headcanon he’s good with numbers so that’s cool (well idk i feel like he’s good with math and economics)

Bringing the playstation has always been a priority, so they built in a tv. They like to chill in the bed and play together. Mario kart is a ruthless game

Occasional weird midnight dancing sessions is a tradition

they have a cat named Sparks and a dog named Lewis. It’s a dalmatian which made Hotshot tempted to name him Spot :)

Jomike (ok look i love my rarepairs alright pls let me ship in peace)

They got a sprinter van

Their kitchen took up most the space bcs mike and jojo are practically professional chefs. When asked to throw down in the kitchen, they will thRO W D O W N

They even use a teal palette specifically for their kitchen. They have a one person shower but no built in toilet. a fair amount of plants as decoration. in the back of their van, they have a built in pull out dining table and two benches (built under their bed so they’d have to stop and open the back door to have a proper dinner)

Jojo is a reporter and mike is a computer programmer. Their job requires a proper desk to work on so they just installed a foldable table in between their seats up front.

their clothes are just stored in cabinets since they share anyways. it leaves a good amount of wall space to play a projector for netflix *cue the soft cuddling in bed*

breakfast in bed is the most on brand thing for them to do

they have a cat named Dixeleta. She’s an outdoor cat so they have fun doing outdoor activities together. Hiking, kayaking, etc.

Sprace

They live in an old sprinter van Spot got from an old family member

They have the type of bed that can turn into a living room (seats and table etc). They use a foldable shower bcs they want the space. Their kitchen can be extended out with a latch by their sliding door but that’s only when they need to use a stove and oven. Since they’re the type of people that just throws on the closest clothes they can grab they just use cabinets to store their clothes.

ok i’ve mentioned it before about sprace but i’ll mention it again. They have three cats named Racecat, Spot Clawlon, and Romeow :D all named by race if you’re wondering.

So Race is a social media manager and Spot is a physician in the telemedicine industry.

They’re very lazy to constantly look for a coin laundry service. They make a schedule to do the laundry once a week but sometimes they just forget.

Their first drive of the day will always include karaoke. They can’t tell whether their cats love or hate their singing voice most likely the latter but they’re in denial.

They cuddle each other in bed with their cats. While watching tv, to sleep, or just chilling together.

Redfinch

They got a mini bus

They have a built in shower, bathroom, and closet (not sure why since they don’t really care about their clothes all that much) They have a proper kitchen, fit a washing machine and dryer, plus a little seating area with a small table

They have two big doberman named Zara and Zoey and a cat named Marbles. Pretty outdoor pets so they frequently take them out for hikes and such

They have a ‘balcony’ on top of their mini bus to chill together. As in all five of them :)

Finch is a music producer and Albert is a photographer and videographer. Albert mostly works with tourist as their personal photographer, but he has land gigs with big companies/people. Finch works with a label that has given him to opportunity to work at home but sometime still need to stop by a studio to meet with artists or other producers.

Finch only needs space to store his laptop, notebooks, and guitar (but he ends up hanging it on the wall anyways). Albert takes up a whole cabinet for all of his equipment.

Not Finch waking up at an ungodly hour when a spark of inspiration comes to him, which ends up waking everyone in the bus. *cut to Albert furiously dragging him back to bed*

They installed a tv near their bed for playstation sessions or cuddling throughout a movie

Their driving karaoke is usually accompanied by their dogs which only tortures Marbles. She hides under the blanket to save her ears. smart cat hehe

Snipesmalls (Never wrote anything for them but I do love these girls :))

Sniper takes up most of the closet space, but it doesn’t matter because they share clothes anyways. A built in toilet and shower. Their kitchen has a navy blue theme to it. It was Smalls’ idea. They have a washing machine and dryer and also a proper dining table.

Sniper is a nurse in the telehealth industry (basically just like telemedicine but deals with more than just clinical services) and Smalls is a medical transcriptionist.

They have an Australian Shepherd named Blue. It’s because of her blue eyes it’s so beautiful :O Blue likes to stick his head out while driving.

They have a built in tv for their playstation and movies but sometimes they bring out the projector to watch while chilling outside.

They have done the most traveling. Hopping from the US to Europe and Asia.

They may like to share clothes but Sniper really likes to be fashionable wherever she goes. “Ok so since we’re planning to go hiking tomorrow, which hat should I use?” “Sniper, we’re hiking up a mountain, not a vogue fashion runway” “And so what if I pretend we are? Use your imagination babe! Now which one?” *sighing*

It is a nightmare to convince Sniper to give away some of their clothes She cries every time her clothes are being given away but gets happy when they go shopping for new ones and it’s the same cycle every time this happens

They also like to go to music festivals and have picnics together

Blush

They live in a mini bus

They rarely buy clothes or give them away plus they share clothes so the closet is pretty small but hella messy because they’re lazy at folding their clothes away. A simple built in shower and also a foldable toilet. The kitchen is pretty equipped because Mush is a master chef. They have a little seating area with a table. Alternating as a working desk and dining table

Mush is a dietitian and Blink is a therapist, both in the telemedicine industry.

Neither is allowed to drive if they haven’t gotten their morning coffee

Mush is mostly then one doing the karaoke while Blink drives

they like to have picnics together

goes to random concerts. it doesn’t need to be a really big artist. they’d simply be happy if they get tickets to any sort of concert. They prefer to see local underground artists to discover more music and such but they sometimes save up to watch big artists too.

they’ve only been around the us and canada but are planning on going to other countries too

Belmerttons

they live in an old school bus

So buttons is a huge fashionista so there is a proper closet and drawers that are mostly used by himself. A built in bathroom and the door has a mirror per buttons request. they also fit a washing machien and dryer in the bus per buttons request too. Their bed is full of decorative pillows and a few stuffed animals per elmer’s request. Their kitchen is small but does the trick. also has a little seating area with a table

Buttons is a fashion stylist but also a designer. Elmer is a math tutor for all ages

they love going to different kind of events and festivals. one of the reasons why they wanted to live on the road in the first place

to get buttons to give away his old clothes, elmer has to assure him it’s for a good cause bcs buttons loves all his clothes. Buttons still get a little sad and pouty when those days come but picks himself up again when elmer offers a disney movie night on the projector with some snacks

oh yes, they bring lots of snacks on the road

They have a cat. still nameless soz

the cat is very fluffy and sheds a lot. which is kind of a problem especially on buttons clothes

“you’re lucky you have a cute face” -buttons while he’s cleaning the fur off his clothes

Spromeo

they live in a mini bus but kinda looks like a hippie van (idk how to describe it but it’s a mini bus with a hippie kind of style to it yknow)

they have two separate areas in the bus. one up front where the driver and passenger seat is. also coupled with a tiny sofa and a table. that’s where they do their work and dine. very comfy and cozy.

it’s seperated by a thin wooden wall. through the doorway is where the rest of their living quarters are. a bed, small kitchen but fully equipped, a shower, and foldable toilet. instead of a closet, they use a dresser since they don’t really have many clothes anyways

so specs is a history teacher and tutor for all ages. (he’s a history nerd hehe). Romeo is a photographer and cinematographer. mostly a tourist photographer (kinda like albert yknow)

specs likes reading history books, but he mostly does his reading on his tablet and laptop to save space. the same for romeo and comics btw

their bed is full of pillows

they have a cat named snowy. a lazy indoor cat. but she loves to cuddle with them in bed

they’ve also done some traveling to other countries. mostly neighboring countries but are dreaming of going to places in europe and asia.

they enjoy doing lots of board games when they’re not driving

romeo has a ukulele which he constantly uses to serenade to specs. sometimes to snowy but mostly specs

woah that was long akjghflkjasfbj; h. will i write a oneshot with this headcanon? maybe but who knows. just needed to put it out there that i’m pining on living on the road with the loml and some cats and go on an adventure together. anyways hope whoever reads this enjoy and sorry for writing a long headcanon list hehe

RWBY 7.01 - 7.02

There is so much to talk about here. Spoilers!

(Please note that I’m not currently a FIRST member, so please don’t spoil me, thanks!)

We’re in Altas now! I love the aesthetic of Mantle, and I like that they didn’t go for the kind of full-on steel-and-glass futuristic aesthetic you might expect for all of Atlas. Instead, it’s more of a Victorian-futuristic look, with brick buildings and cobblestones and narrow streets.

Qrow’s new voice actor is killing it. Jason Liebrecht delivers a performance that is virtually indistinguishable from old Qrow if you aren’t listening closely for it. akisawana pointed out to me that he’s emoting more, which I think tracks for his character growth, but his voice and inflection is spot-on Qrow.

Themes of distrust build immediately, with Qrow uncertain if they should take to Ironwood. Weiss is concerned about the increased military presence in Mantle. We see the face of Winter Schnee on a screen, apparently the public face of Atlas military, and perhaps despite Weiss’s confidence we wonder if our heroes can trust her.

There is a fair amount of talky exposition in these first two episodes and some of it is rather on the nose, as the story quickly tries to get us up to speed with the situation and the general atmosphere in Mantle. People don’t love the surveillance state—we see some children throw a rock at one of the camera bots. But people love Atlas, and they’re proud of their city, even if difficult times.

And we meet Giapetto—I meant Pietro! Something of a convenient character, as he’s both high up in Atlas security and living and working down among the common people; he knows Ironwood, and Maria Calavera, and of course, his daughter has told him all about Team RWBY.

And as many of us probably suspected as soon as we laid eyes on this man, our sweet Penny has returned! I loved it through and through. “I thought you were dead” is one of those tropes in fiction that just always gets me, so Ruby’s face when she realized her friend was a live, and Penny’s face when she saw Ruby and recognized her… I needed a minute. It was just a truly delightful moment, made even more so by Penny’s exuberant tackle-hug.

I’m curious how it is that flightless Grimm are getting into Atlas, since I would think part of the appeal of a floating city in the first place is to keep them out. It wouldn’t stop flying Grimm, of course, but these monsters weren’t flying. EDIT: They weren’t in the floating city, they were down in Mantle, that’s my bad. Anyway, it was a fun battle to watch, as Oscar has learned a few things, and Blake backing up Yang and giving her that little nod was very sweet.

I am still banking on Oscar becoming the official new leader of Team JNR, making them Team ORNJ. Oscar’s outfits even have orange in them, and for nothing directly to do with his name. It’s a sign, I tell you!

Sadly, Qrow’s optimism must never go unpunished! and our heroes are promptly taken captive by the Aesop’s—er, I mean, the Ace Ops. ;) This feels more for drama than anything else, and it’s kind of reminiscent of Wash, Donut, Sarge, and Lopez being taken captive by the Feds in season 12 of Red vs. Blue. But there’s a valid reason: the did steal a ship.

I love how Weiss says, “Ironwood’s Ace Operatives” like they’re a big deal, but as soon as someone else acts impressed by them, she’s like, “They’re not that big a deal.” Oh Weiss! Some things about her never change, and the way she throws shade is one of those things.

I also think it’s pretty obvious that Weiss is still influenced by her upbringing, both as an Atlesian and as a Schnee. “Tyranny” honestly isn’t that much of an reach from what Ironwood’s doing. It’s easy to sympathize with him, because he’s just so goshdarn likable and he make a sadface and we do kind of know his heart’s in the right place—but he’s misguided as hell and even the people close enough to give him the benefit of the doubt can see it. Ironwood puts his faith in technology, and when his tech failed him he only doubled down, trying to make it stronger. And now that we know who the leak is from Atlas security, we can pretty much assume it’s only going to backfire on him harder next time.

“Robyn Hill and her Happy Huntresses” sounds very intriguing, and I’m always excited to meet new female leader characters! I’m also thrilled to hear we have an old Winter Maiden, and I can’t wait to meet her. Really appreciating the introduction of cool old ladies in recent volumes.

I love Blake’s expression of trust in Ruby’s leadership, which seems representative of everyone present. Ruby really is the reason they’re all here—it was her journey to Haven with team JNR that brought them all to where they are. She is not just the leader of Team RWBY but the leader of this whole expedition, especially with Ozpin having lost the trust of so many of them, and now absent entirely. They all trust her.

Ruby, by contrast, is not sure if she can trust Ironwood. I really like this. I like Ruby learning to be cagey and not bestow her trust and optimism on everyone she meets. This feels more like character growth than frankly anything we’ve seen before, and I will take it!

Ironwood has brought Penny and Winter into the inner circle. That alone I don’t really question; they’re both loyal and responsible. What I do question is his decision to tell the Ace Ops, given that… well, I know they’re supposed to be the best, and they did capture our heroes, but it’s also been kind of hard to take them seriously thus far and I question that their discretion and judgment is up to the level required.

But Ironwood doesn’t just want to tell them. He wants to tell everyone. And this is where we’re reminded, not just of the constant threat of Grimm, but that they’re drawn by negative emotions. This is a world where fear brings literal monsters, and in a world like that… the rules are just different. It’s easier to understand Ironwood’s protective instincts, I think, in that context. Managing the emotions of the public is a question of national security. It doesn’t make him right, but… it’s important context.

And here we come back to Ironwood’s reliance on technology and military might. He believes the Atlas military can keep the Grimm at bay and keep people safe. I think he’s vastly underestimating how little anyone outside of Atlas trusts the Atlesian military anymore. They won’t feel safe under his protection, especially in Vale—they might even actively resist his aid. And the more afraid and angry they are, the more Grimm will come.

There is something comical about the fact that Ironwood’s grand plan is… to rebuild Amity Arena. Oh, with a comm tower. That latter part makes perfect sense! Why it needs to be attached to a colosseum, less so. Style points, I guess? Morale booster? Sure.

It’s also comical how much our heroes buried the lede on Oscar being the new Ozpin. And here, we get confirmation that Oz is still gone. Not present, not communicating with Oscar. I thought maybe they’d come to an understand, but… nope. He’s just gone. Which feels ominous, but also makes me wonder: what if Ozpin really is gone from Oscar? What if he’s in someone else? We’ve kind of assumed that couldn’t happen, but we don’t really know for sure. It’s a far out theory, and I don’t really think it’s true, but wouldn’t it be wild if he was now in Ruby—if Ozpin’s presence were at the heart of her reticence, her keeping Ozpin’s full story from Ironwood.

Of course, it’s probably better character development for Ruby if she just did that on her own.

But that leads me to another point, which is that it just kinda seems foreshadowed at this point that Ozpin will probably, somehow, be removed Oscar. Everyone’s been thinking of the aura transfer machine from volume 3, and at this point I’d say it’s likely that’s what the machine was always for in the first place: Ozpin, who after so many lives might be tired of having to inhabit the bodies of unwilling hosts. Ironwood, with Pietro’s help, was probably trying to find a way to free Oz from the cycle of death and rebirth, by transferring him permanently into a synthetic body. It seemed like a possible solution when Amber was attacked. But the machine had to have been in development before then.

When Ruby tells Ironwood that according to Ozpin, all the lamp’s questions were used up, Ironwood says “Right… right” in such a way that makes me think he either knows, or suspects, that this isn’t true. Probably suspects. He walks to the window and says thoughtfully, “Oz told us that too, a long time ago.”

So Ironwood no longer fully trusts Ozpin. And Ruby can’t fully trust Ironwood. Even Qrow is uncertain. I think Leo’s betrayal was a real blow to him.

But the moment that I think truly cements Ironwood’s character is that despite all that, he returns the relic to Ruby for safekeeping. It is a gesture of good faith that I think is pretty unlikely to be anything but genuine. I cannot imagine him parting with that relic if he truly only wanted power for himself.

The Ironwood and Qrow hug was beautiful. Whether friendship or romance, there is definitely some kind of deep connection between the two of them. Enough that Ironwood needed to tell Qrow, personally, that it was good to see him, and underscore his sincerity. And Qrow, when James hugs him… he smiles. He looks affectionate. It’s honestly really sweet.

Our heroes are about to get weapon upgrades! I do think it’s interesting the way Winter says this: “While assisting the military, we will provide you with the best equipment our scientists can devise.” And if they are no longer assisting the military…? Yeah, I do highly suspect our heroes will fall afoul of Atlas military again at some point.

This feels a strong opening to the new volume, and it’s laying out these themes of trust and distrust quite heavily, which I think will be very interesting to watch play out among all the characters involved. Most of all I’m looking forward to more of a character arc (read: any character arc) for Ruby, but there is a lot going on here in this new Atlas-centric part of the story. I’m excited to see more.

Play By Play

I’ve survived my first two full days alone with a newborn. It was Tim’s first week back at work in 7 weeks, so Sunday night I let him sleep as long as he possibly could. Which I think only ended up being 10pm to 5am or so. But still, how indulgent that seems now, as a parent. Desmond started the evening session by throwing up at the time I usually put him to bed, so I rocked him for awhile and then we kinda tried to go to bed (i.e. me in actual bed, him in bassinest) but he threw up again and kinda got it in his hair so we retreated to the living room—him in the baby lounger, me on the couch. D ate at 1:45am and 4:15am. Tim woke me up at 5ish to ask if I wanted to go to bed. At 6:30am, we were off to the races. He ate again at 7:45 and 9:15 and from there we wake up and try to be functioning human beings.

Thus begins a 2 hour cycle of meeting Desmond’s needs. It goes like this: He wakes up, I pacify him while I heat a bottle up. He eats, which takes 10-20 minutes. I change his diaper. We hang. The method I’m following is EASY (eat, activity, sleep, you). The activity could be him in his bouncer. Tummy time on me. Staring at the tapestry while on my legs. Wearing him in a wrap trying to get a thing or two done. Monday morning I did baby laundry and ate a bowl of mini wheats. Him staring at his mobile (like the spinning thing with jungle animals, not his CELLULAR DEVICE, for clarification) I probably change his diaper again during this time. Seriously, I changed his diaper 16 times today. Little man does not tolerate any extra minutes in a wet diaper. He always cries. Sometimes he cries WHILE he’s peeing (like the indicator line hasn’t even changed yet). And then I have him on the changing table like IMMA LET YOU FINISH BUT it would be cool if you could take that level 8 cry to like a 4.

When he starts getting drowsy, or it starts approaching an hour of him being awake, he gets swaddled and the white noise machines go on. I rock him or bounce him (who KNEW my body could move in so many different, subtle ways) until his eyes start fluttering and then I lay him down in his crib for a nap. At this point I have about 20 minutes to do one or a few of the following:

Eat

Change clothes

Brush my teeth or wash my face

Read email/forums/newsletters

Wash bottles/prep hot water

Clean

Order things on Amazon Prime

Cuddle the cats

Then he gets fussy (a baby sleep cycle is apparently 20-30 min) and I have to change him or give him a pacifier or lay my hand on him for 5-10 minutes. Then he might go back to sleep for 20 more minutes.

I also have to make sure to charge his white noise machines and night lights, make sure the wipe warmer has been restocked, and make a list of “loud” things I have to do next time he’s awake and gives me a minute. Like laundry or opening boxes or vacuuming. My fitbit is always like “SOLID, you moved every hour today” which is kind of funny because when I was working I had to make a real effort to accomplish that. I’m surprised my fitbit isn’t like TAKE A SEAT, TAKE A BREATH. But I suppose that M.O. is for another app.

I’m posting this Tuesday night and I just want you to know he only woke up ONCE for Tim last night. Once! In facts, he sleeps way longer stretches with Tim in all cases. What gives? Today we went to a baby brunch and I royally screwed D’s schedule and he punished me for it by crying the entire way home, then rage crying for an hour. He was too warm, hadn’t had a proper nap, was overstimulated. GUESS WERE NEVER LEAVING THE HOUSE AGAIN. Kidding. But anyway. This blog is more for me. Like certifiable documentation. I did it!

Protagonist Prep Ch. 4 Decisions

I own nothing, except my own characters

Dimension 54A-2113DB (SVTFOE)

4 hours after introduction

Location: Diazs’ household.

“That beast is wrong, Star you don’t need his help to be a warrior.” A slightly angry King Butterfly said trying to comfort his daughter, who hasn’t spoken since they returned.

“I’m not so sure River, you saw what he could do. He might be able to help Star become better.” Moon Butterfly told her husband, her tone filled with worry since she didn’t want her husband to get into a tantrum. Which started to happen, his face started to grow red, started to sputter like a motor boat until he bellowed out.

“Moon, how could you say that! How could we leave her with that creature?!? What could he teach Star that she doesn’t already know?!” Moons demeanor changed from worry to defiance and anger

“River, listen he showed no ill intent with his powers and they actually seemed to quite nice.” Moon told her husband in a serious tone and her facial features showing she won’t back down. Meanwhile Rivers’ face turned redder than a boiled lobster and then yelled.

“NO ILL INTENT!! Moon did you forget how that beast and flung me across the room or did he use magic to make you forget.” Moon just rolled her eyes at her husbands’ paranoia and then told River in a calming tone one would use on a wild animal.

“River he didn’t throw you. He flung you and he had good reason to do so, you tried to attack him” A person could see reason and common sense trying to regain control in Rivers’ mind but they quickly lost to pride and anger as he asked.

“What kind of teacher would insult their own student?” The arguing lasted for 10 minutes which deviated from Star attending and on to unrelated things. When the argument started to get more heated Star decided to try put a stop to it. Star called out.

“Mom, Dad” Like the last time her call was either unanswered or couldn’t be heard. Now getting slightly angry she stood up and yelled.

“Enough” After Star yelled something strange happened, she floated a good foot off the ground, her eyes glowed a mix of gold, blue, and greed anything fragile broke. When she started to float down she looked worried, same with her parents, but then she looked to her parents with resolve and determination then told them.

“I want to attend.” Moon was excited if a bit nervous about Stars’ decision, River on the other hand was a complete wreck and he stuttered trying to find a way to keep her from going then a candle was lit.

“What if Marco decides not to attend?” River almost let a small smile out when he saw Stars’ resolve falter but then a miracle happened. Marco walked down the stairs and told River in a slightly angry tone.

“Actually, my parents just signed.” Seeing that he was defeated he told Moon and Star.

“Very well, I’ll sign it.” Star ran over and hugged Marco while Moon, not as excited and not hugging Marco, walked over to the couple and started to talk to Star what she should bring and what she should do while they were talking River took out his cell mirror and called someone.

“Mina, gather your men I have a mission for you.”

Dimension 36A-8376H (PZPTH)

2 days after the introduction

Penn, Sashi, and Boone came trough their portal after finishing another mission. Though that would normally bring a smile to Penns’ face but he wore a slight scowl due Droolers’ “insult”.

“Can you believe that overgrown lizard— “Drooler started to grow annoyed “thinks that he can teach us to be heroes. I mean we’ve been heroes for over a year what could he teach us. Right guys, guys?” Penn looked to his friends but they wore uneasy looks and their eyes slightly darting.

“Guys what’s---““Our parents already signed ours!” Boone blurted out which not only caused Penn to be shocked but a light smack from an annoyed Sashi.

“Why?” Penn asked his voice weak but filled with disbelief and hurt, Sashi seeing how crushed one of her best friends she started to explain her decision.

“Because of Rippen.” Penn looked at he in confusion but she continued.

“Penn, Rippen was close to destroying the multiverse and he’s getting closer to actually becoming a real villain that’s why we chose to attend.” He started to think of about it Rippen was getting closer to his goals and his plans becoming more serious. Penn put his pride aside for a moment and told his friends in uneasy tone.

“Alright I’ll try to get my aunt and uncle to sign the paper.” All three of the friends smiled but their smiles slightly uneasy since Penns’ aunt and uncle have been a bit overprotective since his parents disappeared and he took up their job.

“Beside what’s the worst that could happen?” Penn asked innocently but in a the “projection room” that housed the dimensional breach Phyllis darkly muttered under her breath with enough venom to kill a herd of elephants

“Beside fact he’s called Demented Destroyer.”

“What did you say Phyllis?’” Boone asked with his tone a mix of confusion and intrigue. Realizing that she could be figured out Phyllis lied to the boy.

“I was checking machine.” Boone just nodded at the answer and left the theater to go home.

Dimension 2B-986ZG (Invader Zim)

1 week after introduction.

Deep in his underground layer Zim was looking at his computer with mood that would be described as extreme annoyance,

“Look, can you just connect me to the tallest, the information I’ve gathered is of extreme importance.” Zim exclaimed to an Irken displayed on the screen of his computer. The Irken in question was feminine looks, with dark purple eyes wearing a lilac dress and wearing a dark red futuristic blue tooth headset. Said Irken is named Aaz and she was part of the Irken communications center, yes it was created to deal with Zim.

“State your problem that is hindering your invasion and we’ll return to you in 5-6 solar cycles.” Aaz told Zim in a bored, monotoned voice as she started to rub her head with her claws.

“My problem is that there’s a threat that is close to exterminating me and possibly the entire Irken empire!!!” Zim screeched to Aaz , who slightly flinched, she then returned to her original bored expression. Aaz just took a deep breath to calm her nerves and asked Zim.

“State the class of your threat.” Zim himself toke a breath as he looked dead into the screen as he told with his tone serious.

“A class E threat.” Aaz just looked at him for few moments to digest the information then she started to something unexpected, she started to laugh small at first then to straight out side splitting laughter. After a few seconds , and complaints from other workers, she started to calm down but she still had a small smile on her face.

“Thanks, Zim I really needed that, you have no idea how boring it’s been here.” Zim just looked at Aaz with extreme annoyance as he whined.

“I did see them Aaz and I have proof!” He motioned Gir towards the computer.

“Zim the nearest class E threat is---“The statement died in her throat as she saw the picture that Gir was projecting.

“Connecting you to the tallest.” Aaz told Zim, her tone grim.

Meanwhile at the Membrane Household Dib and his father are having a bit of a disagreement about enrolling into the school.

“Dad can you please sign it.” Dib begged his father who just looked down at his son with an unmoving face and told him.

“No.” Dib started to get a bit upset since his father always gave little or no help when it came to his activities.

“Very well son, I’ll sign it but Gaz will have to go with you.” Dib was so ecstatic that he wasn’t bothered that his sister had to go then he raced up towards his room to blog. While Dib gone to his room Dr.Membrane sat down in the nearest chair and sighed and then said.

“I hope they keep them safe.”

Dimension 875-12SC (Steven Universe)

2 weeks after introduction, one was used to explain to Blue Diamond about what happened to Rose. Now they on to explaining the current situation to Greg, currently outside “It’s a Wash”.

“So, a group of highly powerful, gigantic beings want to train Stu-Ball and they my and her signature do to so?” Greg asked his voice full of disbelief and confusion but most of gems nodded their heads in agreement but Pearl decide to take it a step further.

“Yes, and they seem to think that this dictator is a better guardian than us.” Blue Diamond just glared at the smaller gem and then retorted with equal amount of venom.

“At least I didn’t try to kill him 100 times over!” Pearl was boiling mad at this point and was about to explode until Garnet put a hand on Pearls’ shoulder. Pearl just looked at the current Crystal Gem leader in confusion, who just shook her head from side to side, Pearl was flabbergasted until Garnet told her.

“Pearl calm down, despite what she has done they chose her we just live with it.” Pearl tried to say something but came up with nothing, she stayed quiet after that. Throughout the entire ordeal Steven stayed quiet and just looked at the ground with a saddened look, his dad took note of it and asked.

“What’s wrong bud?” Steven quickly tried to feign his usual happy go lucky look and tried to answer in a happy tone.

“Nothing, just surprised that’s all.” His dad saw through his lie seeing how his sons’ voice was laced with sorrow and a hint self-disappointment, hearing this Gregs’ worry went through the roof and his parental instincts kicked in.

“Steven, really what’s wrong?” Steven at first wanted to tell his dad that he felt fine and nothing was bothering him, but he knew if kept it bottled up it would backfire so he looked up from the ground and told Greg.

“I feel like they made a mistake when they sent me the letter.” Needless to say everyone around him was shocked and extremely worried, even Blue Diamond, and extremely confused why he felt like this.

“Why would say that?” Amethyst asked her voice filled with concern and worry for Steven, a person that was like a younger brother to her, Steven just looked back to the ground and mumbled.

“Because, I don’t feel like a hero, all I done is mess up and ruin things.” Needless say the gems were racking their minds to think of things to say that could comfort the young half gem. After five minutes of searching their brains and surprisingly on them did.

“Steven, though I only been about two weeks, I know you’ve done amazing things already. You’ve defeated a corrupted gem without your weapon and then later healed that same gem, you also bubbled the cluster, a giant geo-weapon. If that doesn’t define a hero then I don’t what does.” Blue Diamond told Steven her tone motherly and comforting. At first Steven was surprised at what she said but then felt at ease and his confidence was boosted, he started to remember all the other things he has done. He convinced an extreme loyalist to become a crystal gem, tricked a group of homewolrd soldiers and rescued his dad from an alien space station. He looked up from the ground, stood up and exclaimed to the gems.

“I want to go.” He then struck a heroic pose, the gems finding this funny and adorable shared a small laugh.

Dimension 7735-2246MA

A month since the introduction, the location is the Dupain-Cheng household. All three the Dupain-Cheng family were sitting in their living room trying to start up a conversation about signing the slip.

“I think—““We think---“ Unfortunately they tried to start a conversation at the same time, to which Marinette politely told her parents.

“Please, you guys go first.” Her parents quickly obliged as her mom told her.

“Me and your father want you attend the school.” This shocked Marinette, as she thought her parents wouldn’t let her, sensing this her parents decided to explain their decision and tell her something that they needed to get off their chests.

“Marinette, we know you’re Ladybug.” This statement caused Marinette squak in fear and surprise, her mind quickly looking for ways that she can disprove her parents’ statement.

“What me, Ladybug?!?!? You must be joking, I mean Ladybug is amazing and graceful, Me I’m a total klutz and can’t even get to school on time!” Her parents just deadpanned while Tom, her father, told her.

“Honey, your disguise is a mask and a too tight suit.” Marinette blushed at her fathers’ comments but they still didn’t explain why they wanted her to attend.

“So why do you want me to attend?” Her parents then gained worried and saddened looks as they started to tell her, their tones slightly grim.

“Because, Marinette we’re worried about the akumas you’re facing, they’re getting stronger and more dangerous. We’re worried that you might get seriously hurt facing them or something worse and those beings seem to know how to deal with this.” Marinette reflected upon what her parents said and they’re right. The akumas her and Chat are facing are getting more violent than the others and more of them seem to be getting closer to their goals. After giving the topic a few moments of thought she politely gave her parents an answer.

“I like to go.” Her parents slightly smiled at her, she then excused herself to her room due to Alya calling her to tell her something important, Alya got her parents to sign.

Meanwhile, at the Argreste mansion in the dining room, Gabriel managed to get home on time for once.

“What do you mean I won’t attend?!?!” Adrien almost shouted in anger at his father, who just wore a mask of neutrality. Gabriel just sighed as he told his son, his voice calm and indifferent.

“I’ll allow to go to a normal school but I will not allow to go to one that’s filled with monsters, that is where I draw the line.” Adrien couldn’t believe this, these beings could teach him to be a better hero, learn amazing new things, and possibly confess his love to Ladybug.

“So, you won’t let me go there just because they look different?” Adrien asked in a disappointed tone. Gabriel just looked as son confused and said.

“No, I’m not letting you go because I know next to nothing about them and this could all be a trap! Without knowing anything you could get hurt Adrien or even worse. Son, though it doesn’t look like it I do care about you and don’t want anything to happen to you.” Gabriel finished showing signs of emotions, mainly worry and a touch sadness. Adrien thought about it and his father was right they didn’t know anything about the teachers, beside the fact they’re scary and powerful, but there was fact that his father left out.

“Father, if they wanted to hurt us would’ve they done so already?” From what Nathalie, Gabriels’ assistant, told him the only time those beasts got violent is when other people wanted to attack or if they needed everyone to be quiet. So after an internal battle Gabriel told his son.

“Very well you may attend this school.” Adrien then ran up to his room to tell Nino about what just happened.

Protagonist Prep Ch. 4 Decisions

Dimension 54A-2113DB (SVTFOE) 4 hours after introduction Location: Diazs’ household. “That beast is wrong, Star you don’t need his help to be a warrior.” A slightly angry King Butterfly said trying to comfort his daughter, who hasn’t spoken since they returned.

“Moon, how could you say that! How could we leave her with that creature?!? What could he teach Star that she doesn’t already know?!” Moons demeanor changed from worry to defiance and anger

“River he didn’t throw you. He flicked you and he had good reason to do so, you tried to attack him” A person could see reason and common sense trying to regain control in Rivers’ mind but they quickly lost to pride and anger as he asked.

“Mom, Dad listen.” But her call was never heard due to her parents arguing, so she tried again but a bit louder.

While Dib gone to his room Dr.Membrane sat down in the nearest chair and sighed and then said.

9 Things to Love about Huggaloops Baby Carrier | A Review

The Huggaloops Wrap-Free Baby Wrap was the first baby product I bought before my daughter was born, and it's still one of my favourites. I bought almost nothing baby-related when I was pregnant, but when this went on sale at my local baby store, I knew I needed to snatch one up. I'd done a lot of research on the benefits of babywearing and had painstakingly decided that the Huggaloops would be the perfect carrier for me to start with. This was one piece of gear I knew I'd use a lot and I wanted to practice using it before the baby arrived, because I didn't trust that my addled postpartum brain would be able to figure it out as soon as I was ready to start babywearing.

It's considered a stretchy wrap, which means it's made of soft, stretchy material. It's meant to be used for front and hip carries (with no option to back carry or have baby facing out) and requires three passes of fabric to go over your baby in order to ensure that she stays snug and secure against your body. Unlike traditional stretchy wraps, which are typically a long piece of stretchy fabric that you wrap and tie around yourself and your baby, the Huggaloops is composed of three interconnected loops of stretchy fabric that you put on before putting your baby in. Once Girly made her appearance, it was the first carrier I wore her in and it didn't disappoint. Plus, the prenatal practice majorly helped and I was able to get her in quickly and easily.

I always knew I'd want to babywear, but once I experienced just how incredible it was, I wanted to try ALL the carriers and over the past 10 months I've amassed quite the collection. But even as I've fallen in love with other kinds of wraps and carriers, I never fell out of love with my Huggaloops. And while I have several different woven wraps, I've never even tried a standard stretchy wrap, because anything they can do, my Huggaloops(es!) can do better. I was thrilled when Huggaloops offered me a carrier in exchange for a review* -- I'll never pass up an opportunity to talk/write about babywearing or get a new carrier! Oh Huggaloops, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways...

1) Easy to Use

I often recommend this carrier to friends as being a great carrier for beginners, because it has a relatively shallow learning curve. When I was still pregnant, I watched a whole bunch of Huggaloops' handy Youtube tutorials and then practiced a few times with a teddy bear. By the time my baby got here, I knew exactly what to do and using it was an absolute breeze, even with a fussy baby and exhausted mama. My wraps and even ring slings required a (somewhat lengthy) learning curve that I wasn't really able to deal with when I had a fussy newborn. I still sometimes struggle with learning a new carry or mess up a wrap job and have start over. Whereas, with my Huggaloops, once I got it, I got it and since figuring out how to use it, it's felt almost impossible to do wrong. This is my favourite method for getting the carrier on -- full disclaimer: I still never get it on properly when I try to do it the other way.

2) Comfortably Takes You from Newborn- to Toddler-Wearing

The Huggaloops provides delicious hands-free newborn snuggles at home or on the go, so you can keep your little one close while getting things done or scrolling through your facebook feed. Our Huggaloops accompanied us on our first walks and helped me be as up-and-about as I wanted to be when my baby was newborn. Like many stretchy wraps, the Huggaloops is approved for babies weighing between 8 and 35 pounds. Unlike most stretchy wraps, the Huggaloops doesn't sag when baby hits 15 or so pounds, so it can truly last you until you reach its weight limit and throughout your entire babywearing journey. My baby is a chunky 21 pounds at the time of this writing and I can still wear her comfortably for an hour or two in my Huggaloops. Plus, the fabric stretches out and then bounces right back, so you can use the same carrier for your newborn and your toddler, if that's how your family rolls.

3) Two Amazing Fabric Options

The Huggaloops comes in two different stretchy fabric options, the Bamboo Carrier and the Everywhere Carrier. The Bamboo Carrier is perfectly soft and cozy -- it's made from a bamboo blend that feels like a thick, sturdy jersey and it's by far the softest carrier I own. Amazing for cuddling, getting stuff done around the house or fall and winter walks. The Everywhere Carrier is made from a performance sports fabric. It's lightweight, offers UV protection, and breathes more for a cooler babywearing experience -- I once took it for a long walk on a Florida beach and was shocked to find that I wasn't coated in sweat afterwards! It also dries fast and isn't weighed down by water, so it's great for splash pads and water fun**. If you can swing it, I recommend splurging and getting both, but you won't go wrong with either one. The first one I got was bamboo, because everyone raved about it and said it was easier to learn with and cozier for newborns, but if I could only have one, I'd get the everywhere -- the material has a little more stretch to it, so I find it a little more comfortable to wear and I love how lightweight and breathable it is for summer babywearing. It also doesn't need any breaking-in, whereas the bamboo one fits tighter at first, to accommodate for loosening up once it breaks in.

4) Low Maintenance Care

Baby carriers generally only need to be washed as often as outerwear, in other words, very infrequently, unless your baby has a poopsplosion or an epic spit up or you spill food all over it. I also like washing my Everywhere carrier after using it at the pool, because I don't want pool chemicals sitting on it. Washing it couldn't be easier. Just throw it in the washing machine on a cold, gentle cycle and then hang dry or toss it in the dryer on low heat. No handwashing, no hassle. I love that it can go in the dryer, because when messes inevitably happen, it's ready to wear again in no time!

5) No Wrapping!

By now I'm an avid baby-wrapper, but when my baby was a newborn, neither of us had patience for wrapping or unwrapping. With the Huggaloops, baby goes in and out quickly, so you can be off and on your way, since the last thing a new mom needs is another hassle on her way out the door. And since there's no wrapping or tying, it's impossible to make it too loose or too tight or screw up too badly. This also means that there are no tails hanging. Now that I've been babywearing and wrapping for a bit, I've acquired a taste for tails, but when I started babywearing, I preferred this more streamlined look, so it was and is a definite pro for me. I also like the knotless finish, because it means you can comfortably sit without having a knot digging into your back.

6) Perfect for on-the-go

The Huggaloops folds up small enough to easily fits in your diaper bag, so you never have to leave home without it. Even when I don't anticipate needing it, I try to always keep a spare Huggaloops in my diaper bag -- this has saved me on many occasions, like when Girly decided she didn't want to be in her stroller and when I didn't realize I'd be stopping somewhere and was otherwise unprepared to take her out of the car. The no-wrap design also makes it easy to use while out and about: you can either put it on before you get in the car, so you just have to pop baby in when you arrive at your destination or you can easily put it on, no matter where you are, because there are no long tails dragging on the ground. I also find it easier to get on in small spaces, again because there are no long strips of fabric to contend with, like you'd have when putting on a mei tai, woven wrap or regular stretchy wrap.

7) Easy to share

This carrier comes in three sizes (plus custom sizes) and it's critical that it fits the wearer properly, to ensure that you wear your baby safely and comfortably. Sized carriers usually aren't considered easy to share between wearers, because you'd need to be similar sizes. However, if your partner/mother/sister/friend/babysitter is a similar size to you and wants to try wearing the baby without learning how to do it on their own, it's very quick and easy to help them get it on, unlike other options, like stretchy or woven wraps, which I would find difficult to tighten properly on someone else. Luckily husband and I are about the same size and height, so we can easily share one Huggaloops carrier. He hasn't committed to mastering using it by himself, but it's one of the only carriers from our collection that he's happy to use and it's easy for me to help him get it on, so we can both benefit from the babywearing bonding and snuggles. Additionally, if you want to share your Huggaloops with someone who's a little smaller than you, there are slight adjustments you can do, to mak your carrier a full size or half a size smaller.

8) Excellent Customer Service

Huggaloops is a women-run Canadian company and their customer service is impeccable. When I was pregnant and researching carriers, I joined their Facebook group, For The Love of Huggaloops, a wonderful place to see and share pictures of their carriers in action. If you've watched the videos, practiced and still aren't sure if you're wearing your carrier properly, you can post a picture to get advice and tips from seasoned Huggaloopsers and Huggaloops owner, Stacey Vee, who is an active member of the group. Before buying, I was confused about what size I would need, so I asked for opinions in the group and Stacey invited me to private message her my measurements, so she could help me figure out the best size, an incredibly helpful "service" she offers up to everyone.

9) Gorgeous Colours for Every Season
