Today is December 5th 2023, the 90th year of the Repeal of Prohibition Day. That means more than 100 years ago, the government banned alcohol, all in the name of “protecting children”. But hey that's government for you, they see alcohol as the problem and point the blame on it instead of shitty parenting. Sort of makes you figure that alcohol should have never been banned in the first place.

In complete seriousness, they need to make laws about ads that say they can take no more than one, maybe two, clicks/taps to close/skip. No more "wait 10 seconds until you can skip the video, wait 10 seconds until you can skip the fake playable ad, wait 5 seconds until you can close the 'download now' overlay, puts up a half-screen in-app appstore pop-up (which at least you can close immediately)." This should literally be illegal to do.

Edit: this is blowing up so I just wanted to add (haha ad) that this was my "reasonable request" I also think there should be way more and way stricter laws around all advertising in general. I think most advertising as we know it today should be abolished.

When a bunch of white people (many of them white supremacists if not a majority) started a "freedom convoy" at a critical part in downtown Ottawa -and assaulted and harassed people endlessly (I know MANY people who were scared to go anywhere because of them and who were actually attacked), the cops did NOTHING. I have seen these convoy people go on lives getting up in cops faces -taunting and threatening them but screaming about their civil rights. And they did this FREELY for weeks on end (and still do their rallies without disruption). Wtf could elicit something like this? These bigoted cops.

I also heard the cops allegedly formed a protective line in front of a zionist minutes after he fired a NAIL GUN at the protest.

An article was also released recently, and I think Amanda encompasses my exact thoughts:

the worst thing ever is that Palestinian people constantly have to go online and in English beg for people to care about them and remind everyone that they're human beings with lives and families and homes and dreams.
