Victoria and Abdul
Queen Victoria was proclaimed as Empress of India in 1877. She was intrigued by the land that she ruled but had never visited.
John Tyler was a superintendent at Agra Jail, where Abdul Karim worked as a clerk. Prisoners there were trained and employed as carpet weavers as part of their rehabilitation. In 1886, 34 prisoners went to London to demonstrate carpet weaving at an exhibition. Karim…

Journalist Hossam Shabat shares the testimony of Dr. Abdul Karim Jamal Abu Odeh, a doctor from Beit Hanoun who has forced out of hospitals by the IOF while caring for patients. He was in the Indonesian Hospital, working for over a month straight when the IOF invaded and forced everyone out. Today, he was forced out of Kamal Adwan Hospital. In total he has been displaced three times. He writes,
I write to you these words from hands trembling from the cold and nothing else, after a period of more than three months of interruption of communication and communications, and a blackout of what happened and is happening in northern Gaza.
Four months later, I spent more than fifty nights in the corridors of the Indonesian hospital from the beginning of the battle until the day it was stormed, and God saved me from it.
Then they stormed the area where I was taking refuge in Jabalia and imposed a siege on us, but God saved us from it.
Many have been filled with the kindness of God Almighty to His servants by saving us many times.
The march is still continuing.
Today, a month later, at Kamal Adwan Hospital, accompanied by my brother, Dr. Abdullah Abu Al-Jidyan, general surgery specialist.

Let It Ride
Songwriters: Robert Glasper and Muhsinah Abdul-karim
I never been a gambler
I stay on the safe side
You know
So, I know I'm alright
But all of that's forgotten when
I'm looking into your eyes
I'm happily out on a limb
You pull me out from inside
Love
You show me what it feels like
No guarantee of anything
So, all my love is on the line
But I let it ride
I let it ride
I let it ride
I let it ride
It's easier than ever now
To walk away with no sight
I know
You'll make sure I'm alright
My heart is always winning if
I have you in my mind
I'd happily do anything
If I know I'm by your side
You
You show me what it feels like
No guarantee of anything
So, all my love is on the line
But I let it ride
I let it ride
I let it ride
I let it ride
But only for you
Just you
I let it ride
I let it ride
I let it ride
Let it ride
I let it ride
I let it ride
(I let it ride)
(Let it...)
(I let it ride)

The Wheel of Time (S2 Review) | The Show that Required The Ring Of Power's Budget.
After a great finale and a season re-watch I have some thoughts on S2 of The Wheel of Time.
#TheWheelOfTime #TwitterOfTime #SeasonReview #WheelOfTime #TVAdaptation #Review #TVTwitter #PrimeVideo
My journey into The Wheel of Time‘s world really started with the series Rafe Judkins created, I read “The Eye Of The World” before the Season One premiere but the TV series prompted my reading of the first book at the time. Even if Robert Jordan‘s books were sitting on my TBR for some time. The same happened with this season, I read “The Great Hunt” before the Season two premiere. What brought…

1958 –14 July Revolution
In the 14 July Revolution in Iraq, the monarchy is overthrown by popular forces led by Abd al-Karim Qasim, who becomes the nation's new leader.
The 14 July Revolution, also known as the 1958 Iraqi coup d'état, took place on 14 July 1958 in Iraq. It resulted in the toppling of King Faisal II and the overthrow of the Hashemite-led Kingdom of Iraq. The coup d'état established the Iraqi Republic and ended the Hashemite Arab Federation between Iraq and Jordan that had been established just six months earlier.
In July 1958, units of the Royal Iraqi Army were dispatched to Jordan in support of King Hussein. A group of Iraqi Free Officers, led by Brigadier Abd al-Karim Qasim and Colonel Abdul Salam Arif, took advantage of the opportunity and instead marched on Baghdad. On 14 July, revolutionary forces seized control of the capital and proclaimed a new republic, headed by a Revolutionary Council. King Faisal and Crown Prince Abd al-Ilah were executed at the royal palace, bringing an end to the Hashemite dynasty in Iraq. Prime Minister al-Said attempted to flee but was captured and shot a day later. After the coup, Qasim assumed the position of Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, while Arif was named Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior. A provisional constitution was adopted in late July. By March 1959, the new Iraqi government had withdrawn from the Baghdad Pact and aligned itself with the Soviet Union.
