Summary:
With both ma’ams away in Darwin, Abby’s left on her own to solve a serial graffiti case before it starts to affect Deadloch’s booming new murder-tourism industry. There’s lots of pressure coming from the mayor, and the general populace is as helpful as ever. Meanwhile, all Abby really wants to do is kiss a girl—namely Kate.
***
Kate smiled when she caught sight of the bakery bag. It was Abby’s favorite kind of Kate-smile, the one where Kate’s whole face lit up and her eyes turned an even warmer shade of brown. Abby’s heart started to race again because that’s just what her heart did when Kate smiled at her. Stupid heart.
“Mm,” Kate moaned happily as she pulled the tart from the bag. “You’re too good to me.” The way she said it—Abby’s breath caught in her throat as if her lungs had forgotten how to work. All her vital organs were stupid around Kate.
Introducing my fav deadloch characters. Special mention to Holly as Skye and susie as Aleyna, I don't have editing clips of these characters right now which is why they aren't in this too but i adore them just as much. All the characters in this show are so thought out and precious. Such perfect writing, such great casting. Anyway, here's Cath, Dulcie, Eddie and Abby. WE NEED SEASON 2!!!
FUCK ME GO WATCH DEADLOCH RIGHT NOW. It's so unbelievably.
Fuuuuck???? It's written and directed by the Kates, who also created the Katering Show. It's an Australian dark comedy-slash-crime drama. Episode six just came out on Amazon Prime and I cannot stop thinking about it.
It's just incredible.
Focuses around a big-city turned country-town cop, her wife, a detective from Darwin, a town with a population of probably less than 2000~ people, my personal favourite character Constable Abby Matsuda, and a string of murders. It's genuinely fantastic, I cannot recommend it more.
The language might be a bit much for some, the premise might be too gruesome for others, but I don't want to risk spoiling and I just cannot urge you to watch this show more desperately than this.
