Updated VGK Playoff primer

I left off Robin Lehner, who hasn't played in 2 years, who is, by all rights, signed through next year. He hasn't played in 2 years even though I deeeeeeply love him. I miss panda so much. I also left off all the guys who got traded over the summer or aren't playing anymore (Phil Kessel, Teddy Blueger, Nolan Patrick, Reilly Smith, Laurent Brossoit) Rip our wives, but none of them have played at all this year, so.

Vegas gets the win against the New Jersey Devils in a nail biter of a game. This whole game had me on edge because of the need for the two points and they succeeded. I was very nervous during turnovers and I groaned when Karlsson didn’t score on either breakaway attempt.

We are lucky that the first Devils goal got called back for goalie interference or else it would have been 2-2 later on in the game. Thompson definitely needed this boost in confidence after his last start ended in a 7-2 loss.

The longer the game went without a point the more worried I grew, especially since we had such a hard time scoring on Allen.

Carrier scored the first Golden Knights goal with assists from Pietrangelo and Hanifin. The puck actually deflected and curved into the goal so it definitely had some luck to it.

The second Golden Knights goal was a beautiful straight on snipe shot from Eichel and this one was assisted by Hanifin.

Karlsson made up for his two missed breakaway attempts by getting an empty net goal. This one was assisted by Theodore and Stephenson!

Final score 3-1!

We definitely needed this win as we are now 5 points ahead of the Wild and 6 points ahead of the Blues, though the Blues play the Ducks tonight so we will see.

I was wrong on my last game recap post, now we have 15 games left in the season. Our next game is on Tuesday against the Lightning, we lost to them earlier in the season, hopefully we can win.
