it's so damn funny how people in this fandom claim that guts only wants to cut griffith's head off and celebrate alongside his group, because this is not quite what is actually happening in the story. guts is pretty much blaming himself for what happened to griffith, because he knows that he's the main reason that made everything collapse. he hates griffith for what he did, but guts is also still very much attached to him, which makes the whole situation even more tragic.
does she have a violent heart or is she a teenager who was born and grew up in a bitterly cruel world? does she have a violent heart or is she constantly surrounded by violence and raised by people who often used violence as a means to survive, raised by a father-like figure who struggled how to properly grieve and taught her to just move on instead of fully processing that already by the age of 14 she's seen way too much shit no one should have to see in their entire lives?
Anders, not being used to his anger about oppression getting 100% understood and justified by another person, and also being a victim of religious guilt tripping that had led many other mages to intense self-hatred and even suicide: I corrupted Justice into Vengeance
Justice in the Fade: I am Justice.
And then 0 evidence of Vengeance existing is ever presented. Interesting..
Always thinking about how people find it inappropriate for a "Vigilante" that dresses as a bat to be beating up child traffickers and mercenaries who are using guns and rocket launchers at him because it's "bad" and "hurts other people" whom impunitively and without reproach would kill him :)) and also ignore the narrative that it's not the martha scene that changes him but it's superman death specifically to the point that the script has to tell you, point by point, that men are still good, and that he has failed him in life but he won't fail him in death
Improving on my concept from this post for @thelittlestspider's ask game, I present to you the grudge axis:
The axe axis is all about how much of a grudge you have, or how many, depending. The bloodiness axis is about how bloody your revenge would be if you took it. It crosses from no blood to blood at the origin. Somewhere in that area is where "internal bleeding is okay" goes.
Here's where some of my characters would fall (I realized on second thought that Fay hates blood and doesn't really want bloody revenge):
Tagging some people who would enjoy this probably: @vacantgodling @outpost51 @kk7-rbs @writernopal @jezifster @sam-glade @sunset-a-story @kudzucataclysm @touloserlautrec
Trump makes inflammatory/racist/bloodcurdling comments.
People are outraged.
The MAGA-Industrial Complex then claims that he was taken out of context or misunderstood.
Trump makes such comments so often that either he really means them or that he's so incredibly stupid or demented that he can't properly express himself. Both explanations disqualify him for any position of power in the US.
Listen to what Trump says rather than to the explanations and excuses his minders and apologists make for him.
When people make violent threats, it's always wise to take them seriously. Certainly don't hand them the keys to a nuclear arsenal.
