Ci ho messo un po’ a capire che quegli uccelli immobili sono finti come una moneta da 3 €.
Chissà perché li trovo bellissimi, però.

Your post about Salo just reminded me of these tidbits I learned about the director Pier Paolo Pasolini on his Wikipedia page:
“A small scandal broke out during a local festival in Ramuscello in September 1949. Someone informed Cordovado, the local sergeant of the carabinieri, of sexual conduct (masturbation) by Pasolini with three youngsters aged sixteen and younger after dancing and drinking.[39] Cordovado summoned the boys' parents, who refused to file charges despite Cordovado's urging. Cordovado nevertheless drew up a report, and the informer elaborated publicly on his accusations, sparking a public uproar. A judge in San Vito al Tagliamento charged Pasolini with "corruption of minors and obscene acts in public places".[39][17] He and the 16-year-old were both indicted.[40]”
“In 1963, at the age of 41, Pasolini met "the great love of his life", 15-year-old Ninetto Davoli, whom he later cast in his 1966 film Uccellacci e uccellini (literally Bad Birds and Little Birds but translated in English as The Hawks and the Sparrows). Pasolini became the youth's mentor and friend.”
🤢
yep he was infamously a fucking pedophile. it's said that his murder was motivated by his public antifascist stance and committed by the banda della magliana, but the only guy who was convicted was a 17 year old male prostitute he had been seeing for months... another hypothesis was that a homophobic gang of calabrese and sicilian men followed him with their car and ambushed him... in a spot in ostia lido where he was known to bring boys to for sexual encounters.
anyways... imo he's only ever managed to rise to fame because of his oppositional behavior towards literally anything, and controversial topics. we're talking about a man who, when the italian government was reuniting to discuss legalizing abortion, wrote an essay that he literally called "i am against abortion" lmfao... and even wikipedia says it wasn't even because he opposed abortion per se, he just opposed the government.
