JellyCake had the pleasure of being involved in a fabulous photoshoot at the very beautiful Thornbury Castle on the edge of the Cotswolds, within easy reach of the M4/M5 and Bristol. With the venue being a romantic castle the theme for the day was Once Upon a Time with an opulent but ethereal and mystical feel.

Thornbury Castle dates back to 1511 when it was built as an early example of a Tudor country house with elegant medieval influences. King Henry VIII stayed at the castle with his wife Anne Boleyn and although it is now a 27 room luxurious hotel, it still retains its historic character with stunning rooms, bedchambers and beautiful gardens. The hotel can accommodate small and large weddings with up to 120 evening guests in the Tudor Great Hall.

The lovely bride wore four different dresses, each one reflecting the romance of the story, along with a gorgeous crown and dreamy wedding bouquet created by Tinker Jo.

Twirly She could have been a cheerleader; brown hair swaying to the clapping hands bouncing to the swing of the game. She could have worn that silly outfit as a thousand boys tried for a peak under that frilly skirt. She could have waved white pom-poms and chanted brave fight songs, the envy of a thousand girls. But when all was said and done she chose not to hide the pain instead she left it open once bleeding but now scared, on her arms, in full display. “Our lovely bride wore four different dresses, each one reflecting the romance of the story. Her gorgeous crown was handcrafted from champagne coloured keshi pearls, shell flowers and leaves, and a delicate mix of roses, clematis, ivy and cones created a dreamy wedding bouquet.”

“Wood panelling, a stunning fireplace and a tablescape with the most beautiful hand painted silk runner. Candles and silverware along with beautiful china and glassware adorned the table.
