Least frugal to Most Frugal
So I had a thought while I'm writing this fic about the party going to an amusement park and my friend and I were chatting about who we thought would be the most frugal of the party. I don't think any of them would particularly bad with money but I think there are some who would spend and some who are a bit more modest.
Least Frugal
Lucas: I think he definitely is the big spender lol. I feel like as they get older, Lucas wants to always be looking fresh and if he doesn't join the Air Force but pursues something in sports for a while, for sure lol. Since I think he would major in History at an HBCU, with maybe a business something minor, he definitely would like to have money and spend money. I don't think he's bad with money, quite the opposite but he likes to spend lol
Dustin: I feel like Dustin would be a little bad with money, I think (since I'd assume they're all good in math), that he would have a budget but doesn't always stick to it. I can see him going into some store and seeing something and being like "omg.. I have to have this" and the others would be like "but you already have 5 of those..." "I don't have 6 though...". Plus, scientists usually are a little bad with money but he's a good talker, so he'll always have grants and stuff to fund whatever he's doing.
El: I feel like El wouldn't be great with money, like a little inconsistent. Once she has it, I feel like she would buy clothes a lot. I think El likes nice/pretty things and buys things that either remind her of moments or people or things that make her feel good in the moment.
Max: I think Max is good with money but will have major impulse buys. When she and El go shopping, she finds a couple of things she likes but be shocked when El comes out with bags. She just a "I don't really need this" kind of person but she will have a good time though. If they're going somewhere to have fun, she could rack up the biggest bill.
Mike: I think Mike is good with money and whenever he's out with El, he'll talk her out of something lavish... unless she breaks him and he agrees that she should get it... or he would get it for her lol. But otherwise, he's the type to be like "my clothes fit... why do I need new ones? My shoes are functional, I don't need new ones". He would be interested in getting the newest technology but since Dustin and/or Lucas would definitely get it, he would wait to see theirs and mess with it before getting it himself. He likes good food though so I think he would spend money for some good food. He also might buy something nerdy but he has to really want it. I think being a kid and having so many toys (for what seemed like years), he doesn't see the need in buying the newest thing right away... unless he really wants it.
Will: I think Will is the most frugal and the best with money because of how he grew up, I think that kind of stuff never leaves you and it can go either way. Being an artist, Will knows he may not make a ton of money so he's smart with his money. He saves religiously and has a budget and if he goes out with his friends, he gets the same things off the menus, because he knows the price AND he's a creature of habit, which he's fine with. He definitely always gets gifts for his friends and family, but he may even more inclined to make something than to buy it. He will spend on art supplies though.
Most Frugal
So anyway lol just something I was thinking about and wanted to share! lol

‘At The Dance’ VIP Played on Essential Mix
I’m delighted to say that lau.ra included the VIP instrumental of my Hint track ‘At The Dance’ in her Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 at the weekend. These kinds of moments are real landmarks in my career, so I’m incredibly grateful that they still arrive and are as exciting as ever.

Ebi Soda - Honk If You’re Sad
(Jazz Fusion, Avant-Garde Jazz, Nu-Jazz)
The Brighton jazz collective's sophomore album takes the distinctive fusion style engineered on their debut and improves it with tighter grooves, wilder improvisation, and even more serene compositions. Honk If You're Sad is a near perfect embodiment of the U.K.'s boundary-pushing jazz scene, taking electronic and hip hop stylings to a jazz template in stride while proving the quintet can push themselves even further.
☆☆☆☆½
Mixing electronica with jazz has been a fundamental part of the modern jazz scene for years now, but Brighton's Ebi Soda have a whole new perspective on it. They're a quintet that largely rides on non-electronic instrumentation - the main members play trombone, keys, bass, guitar, and drums - but their sound is so indebted to the psychedelic sounds of 90s and 2000s electronic music that you could easily throw them in the same pile without a second thought. Their influences range from early 70s CAN to drum 'n' bass to modern fusion heavyweights BADBADNOTGOOD, and it all mixes for one kaleidoscopic sound that genuinely feels like it's treading new ground for jazz music as a whole, a sound that takes from music both old and new and twists them into a candied vine of hypnotic grooves and electrifying instrumentation. It's music that feels particular to the internet age, where massive music archives and digital streaming services allow artists to pull from ideas and genres that might have been inaccessible to most only a few decades in the past, and that's an exciting thing to watch a group like Ebi Soda take advantage of. With their sophomore album and first for Brighton indie label Tru Thoughts, Ebi Soda continues developing their sound while infusing even more new ideas into it. Honk If You're Sad's playful title and silly song names underlie one of this year's most progressive and thought-provoking listens, blurring the line between electronic rhythmic and melodic stylings and the deep physicality of jazz until it seems as if they are one whole entity. Drummer Sam Schlich-Davies might as well be one of those digital drum machines with how controlled and tight each of his performances are here: he's got to be one of the best contemporary drummers off Pseudocreme alone, swapping between a syncopated, almost bossa-nova groove and a relentless breakbeat that only gets heavier as the song goes on, each drum fill beautifully placed and driving the song with a sharpshooter's accuracy. The rest of the ensemble sits on top of Schlich-Davie's phenomenal drum playing and always keeps the music moving, whether it's through trombonist Will Heaton's thick improvisation work on Chandler, featured player Deji Ijishakin's explosive tenor surrounding the tense polyrhythms on Gated Community With a Public Pool, and even the bubbly keys work from Louis Jenkins that pop out of Soft Peng's background and acts as a soft counterweight to the layered melodic lines of trombone, sax and bass. It's an interesting mix of players Ebi Soda has, only one brass instrumentalist and the rest on strings, keyboards and drums, and so the extra players they bring into the mix - Yazz Ahmed for a sultry trumpet feature on the woozy centerpiece Chandler, drummer Dan Gray, the aforementioned Deji Ijishakin - help provide unique textures and new minds to Ebi Soda's  world, helping them branch out sonically as they learn how to stitch these other artists into their highly intricate compositions. But Honk If You're Sad takes it even further, showing how well-versed the band is in a multitude of genres, throwing in sounds few other jazz groups are utilizing today. The seven-minute ambient retreat Listen, King, led by Jenkins' reverb-soaked keyboard work and scattered instrumental work from the rest of the members whose serenity and delicate composition makes for one of the best instrumental pieces this year, is an obvious turn for the speed quintet, but the nods to trap on Sadboys2020 through Schlich-Davies' heavy bass hits and glittery hi-hat taps and the dubby summer haze blanketing Hari-Lee Evans' prominent bassline and slick muted horn work from Heaton make it clear the band is searching for something even greater. It's a melting pot of modern genres sent through the faucet of Ebi Soda's sleek jazz instrumentation, dub and post-punk and breakbeat all finding a place to stay in the fluid walls of Honk If You're Sad, the sharp drum hits and noisy unison lines bursting out of Yoshi Orange leading right into the downtuned synth smog of Chandler without it feeling jarring or strange even a bit, Ebi Soda's commitment to an eclectic sound never making it seem like they aren't sure of where things are going. From the tight harmonic lines and krautrock crunch of opener My Man from College to the coastal breeze of Christmas Lights in June, Honk If You're Sad presents Ebi Soda as not just an incredible group, but as some of the most boundary pushing and progressive musicians out there right now who've unearthed a pivotal moment for their music here. As delightful as it is intricate, Honk If You're Sad is a truly one-of-a-kind album, one that wouldn't exist anywhere but the modern day with how many worldwide genres Ebi Soda pulls from to make these wild compositions work so well. It's hard to wrap your head around just how much is happening here, but immersing yourself in the music long enough to understand it all is nothing but heavenly and makes for some of the most rewarding deep listening music all year. It's not inaccessible because of how well-versed Ebi Soda is in everything they do, always playing with new ideas but never so far out that they lose control of where things are headed, and that refined sense of adventure throughout Honk If You're Sad is genuinely remarkable for a group as green as them. There's a palpable sense of possibility that surges through the music here, a reminder of how boundless instrumental music will always be as new artists continue to evolve the form, Ebi Soda the current torch carriers for that ethos that are the perfect group to do it. There's no telling exactly what'll come from them in the future, and that's got to be the most exciting thing Honk If You're Sad promises.

that entire part of the main questline where Link is running through the castle after Zelda, falling into one battle after another, and in the end "she" creates an illusion of the castle the way it used to be and starts creepily teleporting around and asks "Does it bring back memories of our time here" and Link is Super Stunned..... ya
