Discord server: The Room of a Thousand Fountains
This was created with the Jedi Apprentice/Jedi Quest/Last of the Jedi books by Jude Watson in mind so we can all suffer from that very special kind of Star Wars Legends brainrot together, but all Star Wars is welcome!
Invite link here! EDIT: here is a link without expiration.

Ferus when Trever bonds with a not-lothcat:
He’s just rolling with the Force-Punches honesty.

I was browsing through for Ferus Olin stuff since obsession and all, and ran into a Star Wars Insider story from 2006

As much as I love Rebels, whenever I rewatch the first few episodes (or just the two of them, really), I’m always reminded that Kanan and Ezra are basically just Ferus Olin and Trever Flume in slightly different fonts.
I mean, Ezra literally has blue hair, a cocky attitude, and was a thief! Like, Trever did all of that first and was even more of a brat about it!
And as much as I love Kanan, he can never replace Ferus aka the first gay representation that I saw in SW when I was a kid.
And the whole story that Ferus and Trever had was so good and complex and the characters were really interesting and so much of that series feels, to me, copy and pasted into Rebels and now that I’m rereading The Last Jedi, it’s even more obvious that the Rebels writers took crazy amounts of inspiration from Jude Watson’s work and world building.

@constellctes ( trever flume ) sent ❝ i actually thought you were kind of mad at me, if i’m honest. ❞ ( meme , not accepting )
She’s not mad; it isn’t Trever’s fault, and she’d handled the Stormtroopers and they’re safe again now. He’s just a child who until fairly recently had never been off his home planet, and now is traipsing across the galaxy as though he’s Ferus’s Padawan.
It’s just the listening and following instructions he doesn’t seem to be particularly good at. Or maybe he just doesn’t want to. “I’m not mad,” she tells him, looking down at where he’s huddled against the wall where she’d shoved him to keep him out of the way of blaster bolts. “Next time I tell you to wait for me to get back, though, how about you give that a try for more than thirty seconds, hmm?”

I'm rereading the Last of the Jedi series and I've discovered that if you're a Jedi who's survived Order 66, it's a requirement to find and adopt a child who fulfills two or more of the following traits:
Has no one anymore because of the Empire
Thief
Weirdly enthusiastic about animals
Blue hair
Force sensitive

Prompt from @sirianddeanseethestars: 68. "This isn’t what it looks like." for Ferus Olin
"This isn't what it looks like!"
"Really," Ferus deadpans. He dons his best Mace Windu glare, but either he's really bad at it or Trever is immune. "Because it sure looks like you're about to leave with a few of my datasticks."
Adopting a look as if offended by the insinuation, Trever holds them up. "What, these old things? I was going to run updates for you, since you're too much of a bantha brain to do it yourself."
"Trever, I need that data." Ferus sighed. "Okay, I'll give you new ones. Just leave those. Lives depend on it."
"Whatever."
Send me a number and a character and I will write you a drabble!

For anyone who doesn't know who I'm talking about and might be interested:
Trever Flume is a character from The Last of the Jedi, a juvenile Star Wars novel series that was written by Jude Watson in the mid 2000s and is now classified as Legends. If you were a big fan of SW books growing up you might also know Jude Watson from The Journal of Queen Amidala or Jedi Apprentice. Trever is a young, non Force-sensitive boy who ends up being a little brother figure/sidekick to the main character Ferus. There's a lot about these two characters and LotJ as a whole that is similar to Star Wars Rebels, with at least one definite connection between the two (the Inquisitors) and several thematic and plot parallels. However LotJ takes place a lot earlier in the Imperial Era than Rebels does and is a good bit darker in some aspects, despite being a juvenile series.
Trever is, like Ezra, a homeless orphaned kid, and I don't think it's really spoilers to say that he also lost his folks to the Empire cause really, what main character in this era didn't? He makes his way by stealing and scamming until he gets brought along on Ferus' missions and gradually becomes a true Rebel. He is.. a little punk, and a sweet, clever kid, and a good friend. A blue-haired cinnamon roll. So if you're a fan of a certain Ezra Bridger... please consider,,, appreciate Trever. ofc Ezra's personality and arc differed from Trever, but they do have a lot in common and they are both good boys.

Trever: I've got a sort of hypocritical question.
Ferus: Have you indeed?
Trever: Yeah. Suppose something had happened...
Ferus: What have you done?
Trever: No, I haven't done anything, it's not my fault. And also...maybe nothing's happened.
