I can’t believe it’s been 3 years! I’ve only joined this community recently (December 2022), but it’s already made such an impact on me and my life. These characters and their stories and relationships have really helped me find myself in some senses.

I mean, part of the reason I love this game so much is that I see myself in so many of the characters. And they acknowledge so many struggles and it makes me finally feel seen in some sense. Their hobbies, their flaws, their relationships, it all feels so real and sometimes I’ll read through them and just think about how I’ve felt those exact ways.

I am an aspiring actor, singer, drummer, and artist. So…perhaps you can see how I feel heard while playing this game. I’ve also been struggling to get myself to do the things that I love recently, and sometimes (even if it’s a little silly), thinking about these characters and what they’ve accomplished makes me want to get up and do these things just a little bit more.

Anyways, long story short, this game has not taken long at all to worm its way into my heart. This game is still going strong after three years and hopefully it will for three more.

YOU ALSO HATE BRADFORD PEARS??? We have Callery Pears on my campus (very similar) and they smell SO BAD in the spring. 0/10 tree. 0 stars.

THEY’RE TERRIBLE I HATE THEM I’m allergic to them and they’re all OVER where I live I can’t escape them 😭

There’s even one in my yard (though technically only half of one now since part of it blew over last week). I don’t know if that one is a true Bradford pear, but it’s something similar for sure since it has the weak limbs and the nasty-smelling flowers. It also has murder thorns too that make it very hard to move dead limbs so basically it’s just a terrible tree all around.

that “chromebooks are the reason kids can’t use computers” post is a little dumb. not a single school i’ve worked in had had chromebooks, not even the ones with 1-to-1 classrooms.

and i know to some this will sound like i’m an evil dictator but blocking websites and not allowing kids to download software is a necessary evil if you’re going to use laptops in class.

to blame it all on google is a little weird and conspiracy like imo.

#the problem is phones. it is. adults use phones rather than computers so kids do to #and no one teaches them bc they assume that being good at using a phone = being good at using a computer #ntm computer labs are going out of vogue especially in middle and elementary #and they’re being replaced with laptops that don’t work. bc the schools don’t have budget for better #so id hazard that computer use for anything but word processing has actually gone done #because it’s faster and better to have students use their phones in class for a lot of things #allowing kids to fuck around on computers as they grow up is absolutely one way to build computer literacy #but it doesn’t have a place in schools. computer labs and computer classes need to come back #but the won’t. because computers are expensive and schools are growing so fast without new ones being built they need every square inch

Thinking about the turtles missing Cody. They spent a lot of time looking after him, besides he was kind of the only link to anything familiar during their time in the future. And their time together was spent hoping and looking forward to going home, so there could be this sense of not having appreciated their friend future great grand nibling while they had him.

Imagine when April and Casey’s kid is born. Imagine Cassandra growing up with the memory of her future grandchild in the backs of her uncles’ minds. Imagine how protective they’d be of her knowing Darius Dun will be Cody’s uncle.

There’s a positive side, too, they have this beautiful future to look forward to for their future family, even if they can’t directly be part of it that would bring unspeakable comfort and hope.

Would any of them meet Cassandra’s children? If she has more than one would it be irresistible to try to guess which of them will be Cody’s parent? Will they fight and claw against age to live just long enough to see him born? And how much more protective will they be of who comes into the family at that point?

And is this all a self-fulfilling prophecy, as the sense of urgency to keep outsiders out is passed through generations without the context of why, and Cassandra’s children keep their children extremely sheltered to protect O’Neil Technologies from falling into the wrong hands, creating an insular situation perfect for family members to take advantage of?

And even if none of this is true. It probably occurs to Plan For Everything Donatello and Find A Way To Blame Yourself Leonardo (Or is that Plan For Everything Leonardo and Find A Way To Blame Yourself Donatello? At that point in the series I mean). The point is they’re overthinkers and in addition to just missing him the thoughts about Cody’s future and their influence on it would mess with them severely.

Another random thing but I was doing a Bounty mission and so decided to get a bunch of Cookies where the bonus applied (here it was Support and Ranged), and looking at this lineup, it looks like Caramel Arrow Cookie was put in charge of babysitting a bunch of kids/teens, and she just decided to take them to battle. She is proud of their prowess

I’m so happy that both Dustin and Robin have romances that aren’t mains like I feel like the only one. But honestly their romances are actually so cute because unlike the other romances I don’t feel like they’re being restricted to become a fucking full on endgame with one another. Where they are only restricted to that romance partner. Like I know Robin’s whole situation comes into play more that restricts her but I’m so fucking glad that the narrative doesn’t seem to treat Dustin x suzie along with Robin x vickie in a way that screams ‘they can only be with this one partner for the rest of their lives!’ By giving Robin and Dustin side romances it honestly helps me/the audience see that it’s just them wanting to be with the other person and that’s it’s a cute thing that maybe won’t last forever but also Robin and Dustin are going to cherish it. Along with putting effort into the relationship at a reasonable time and also like just not putting pressure on them to have everything figured out. Like it’s just a cute relationship that they want for themselves and that’s it!
