TMA headcanon

During the first season, Jonathan Sims only uses a desk tape recorder for recording statements but after the Prentiss Attack he started to keep around a hand held tape recorder as well because the buttons were easier to press and easier to use when moving around. He only uses the desk tape recorders for recording the statements when he’s working

(Don’t know if those are there actually names so here’s what I mean when a say Handheld tape recorder and Desk tape recorder)

This only explicitly exists in my brain, but I imagine the setting for the Magnus archives and the Magnus Protocol are like night and day versions of each other.

The staff of the Magnus institute work during the day (for the most part) but I've always imagined that inside the institute the lightbulbs that are always too dim, shadows in every corner that are a little unsettling, and a cold chill in the air that never leaves. Even though staff at the O.I.A.R work during the night, I picture oppressive, fluorescent lights overhead, blue light computer screens that surround you and an electronic hum that you can't stop hearing even after clocking out.

Both feel very isolated from the outside world.
