the GREAT PATREON SMUSH
I was going to make an advertisement for this with bright colors and maybe animated sparkles but 1) I hate making ads and 2) we are all so exhausted by bright ads vying for our brain chemicals that I just don’t want to do that to you anymore!!!! I’m TIRED of things grabbing for my attention in an unending assault on my senses and I’m sure you are too!!!!!!!
if you’ve been doom-scrolling and need a break (a nice beverage, a stretch of the legs, etc.), take this as a sign to do so now. if you’ve got the energy for a little reading, though, and want to learn about my work - keep going!
ANYWAYS I’ll get to the point: ALL of my patreon benefits are now available to the lowest ($3) tier.
in fact, there ARE no other tiers anymore. they’re gone! scrunched! smunshed! stirred up all together into one big super tier soup of everything I offer now and will offer in the future!
Tumblr media
everyone now gets:
over 100 4k desktop wallpapers
early access/wips
25% discounts on prints
livestream voice chat
art votes & art suggestions
commission slots
and access to the Art Grotto discord, a friendly and chill server with a small community of creative folks. we share art, writing, pets, memes, and also come up with fun art ideas together! 🌈
why am I smushing the tiers and giving up the higher pledge amounts?!
because capitalism sucks, we’re in a recession, and I’m lucky enough to have a full-time job that allows me to make art without being reliant on Patreon income. anyone who has sat in on one of my livestreams knows that I try to be a calming force in an often-chaotic world, and that I’m always looking for ways to make art more accessible to everyone. I want my Patreon to be a place where I can give back to those who are supporting me in this mission!
this tier smush is just the start of how I hope to transform this space! I have a bunch of fun ideas about stuff I want to do in the future, so keep an eye out for more announcements like this 👁
that’s all!!!! thank you if you’ve read this far, and here’s the link to the Patreon if any of this interested you!

Nobody asked me about my horrifying Sinister Potion but I will share the recipe anyways because I am so so niceys. :] THE DROWNED SAILOR - 1 can Pomegranate Blue Burst MTN DEW energy drink. - 1 mediumish bag of Sour Patch Kids. Pour drink into disposable cup (You do NOT want this shit in a normal one, probably). Add in Sour Patch Kids (CAREFULLY. You do NOT want to spill this stuff on the nice clean tables at the library or they WILL kill you.) Allow to fizz. Enjoy (But carefully...) Guaranteed to make your entire digestive system HATE you and also make you type really really fast. Show it to your horrified friends/coworkers/the librarians at the front desk and tell them the name of the drink to produce shocked but amused (or possibly just freaked out) laughter.

I wish it was much easier to find translated books bc its so refreshing bc I hate how English speaking millenials write. @ my peers shut the hell up
I think there should be a translated book category at all book distributers. and then the books are also in their regular genre or whatever categories as well

hc that aaron got the knacks of being a doctor after a particularly bad beating his mother gave him, so in his desperate childlike mind he got to the conclusion that yes, he'd very much like to make through all this hell in one piece and no, ending up in the er and having the police called most definitely wasn't an option,,,, what he ended up doing then was religiously spending his afternoons in the library every chance he got after classes while trying to make sense of everything medicine related he got his hands on
needless to say, little aaron wasn't dumb and went through first aid focused books first but after a while he actually started growing fond of all those exhaustingly long encyclopedias and ykno, it wouldn't be bad at all if he helped himself and managed to do so for other people in tackling their own pain in the process... right?

hey! do you have any good ways to pirate watch the caps games?
Im a little wary of givin these out since they are ya know Illegal and many piratin sites have been shut down as a result of bein shared publically (rip volokit and the reddit page for these) and tumblr is for the most part public.
Also some are. Well more Malicious than others so ALWAYS use a good adblocker and some sorta antivirus protection. Firefox has a built in adblocker and was required by ona the sites (idk if it still is).
Oh and most don't Usually work on mobile or if they do so many fuckin pop ups and new tabs to get thru and then they nuke your battery so quick

Look I love libraries as much as any other nerd (a LOT) but I really hate it when people think 'your local library' is the answer to any and all book-related problems and will completely eliminate the need for piracy or online paid-for services of any kind.
Incomplete list of reasons 'your local library' might not be a viable option for someone:
You live in a country where your native language/the language you like to read in is a minority language, meaning your local library won’t be carrying much of anything useful for you.
The selection of books that you can actually peruse (big print/audiobooks, for example) is limited and you’ve already raced through them.
You want to read a specific type of book that the library just doesn’t stock much of (comic books, for example, especially if they are comic books from a foreign country/in a foreign language).
The library is in a physically inaccessible building/you cannot reach it for another reason and online services are poor.
You cannot afford a library card.
You do not have a local library, or it is stocked/maintained so badly as to be worthless.
Libraries are great. If there’s one near you, you should be using it if at all possible. Libraries should receive more funding so they can offer a wider arrangement of services and books to people. They will also never be a perfect, one-size-fits-all solution to the problem of ‘reading as a poor person is difficult’. Piracy and/or legal online services will always be the only way some people can actually read books, and for some people, those services will not be enough, and they will end up reading less or not at all through no fault of their own.
We should support libraries because they are a vital community service (in many ways, not just providing books to read), not because they are a magic solution to all reading-based problems, and I’m begging you to stop using your local library as a cheap gotcha in arguments.

oh my god oh my god i couldn’t find the book anywhere and the library was going to charge me so much money for them to buy it
I found the Matthew Sweet book of genuine historical facts to use for perfecting our Division-era Doctor and Master headcanon source material. (And for learning, honouring people, improving selves etc.)
Operation Chaos: The Vietnam Deserters Who Fought the CIA, the Brainwashers, and Themselves
