Icon_UK watched Disney's The Black Hole
Had this on in the background and I had forgotten just how damn creepily menacing Maximillian the robot is
An early draft concept design by Carla Aldana had a VERY different look, with three arms emerging from their own shoulder/spindles, and apparently named Max, and an upper body more in keeping with the designs which would show up for V.I.N.Cent and Old B.O.B.
Which then became this by George McGinnis.
And ultimately became something much closer to the end product
With the blood red paint job and the sinister red eye visor, there is NOTHING remotely round or cuddly about him (The way that V.I.N.Cent and BOB epitomised)
But this creepy bastard...
Who never says a single word, and has multiple utility arms which can all be adapted to do horrible things....
Nightmare fuel from start to finish.
