I wanna consume Shanks x Buggy like a Shakespearean tragedy. I want it like a Jane Austen slow-ass period drama with nothing but hints. No actual communication, just odd looks exchanged from across the room and by the time one of them reaches where the other was, there's no trace of them.

I want it in the way that I want my doomed-by-the-narrative tropes: burning me alive on the inside. I want it to keep me awake at night because my eyes are too swollen from crying.

I want Buggy in constant inner struggles and no will to live other than spite and Shanks fighting tooth and nail even though he knows his efforts are Sisyphean.

Do you think Dazai was scared

When Chuuya became a fixture in his life, fiery and wild and willful and everything that dazai was missing. When chuuya gave him a reason to wonder what life could bring, no longer finding existence pointless and dull because how could he with the force of nature that is Nakahara Chuuya? Do you think he was scared when he suddenly realized he wanted to live a little bit more than before ? When Chuuya gave him an obsession with life right before he'd been so hellbent on ending it? Do you think chuuya even knows that in being temperamental and quick to bite, he gave dazai a taste of what it means to be alive?

This isn't to say Chuuya is Dazais reason for living, but I don't think Dazai knew the potential there was in being alive until Chuuya. Until someone so unapologetically lively became the very gravity that tethered Dazai to life. To finding appeal in continuing to exist even if he feels unworthy of it.
