wada sez: This strip represents the inception of Mosaic as a whole, kicking off the Allspark One-Shot Project—see here for more information on that. In recognition of this, and of its quality, it was also the first Mosaic strip to be printed as backmatter to an IDW comic. The visuals (in particular the crashed Ark) and Jazz's speech firmly place this in the Sunbow continuity. I've opted to lead with it as the first strip in this archive, although strictly speaking its Mosaic republishing came a few strips into the project. Today marks 15 years since the release of the first strip actually created for Mosaic, "Destiny"!

Bayverse timeline: Earth edition Part 1
Basically I summarize the wiki with some additions
4.54 billion years: Earth forms around Unicron
65 million years ago: Quintessa sent her people to activate a Seed leading to the extinction of dinosaurs
17,000 BC: The 7 Primes land on Earth. 6 of the 7 sacrifice themselves to protect Earth from The Fallen.
10,000 BC: Allspark crashes on Earth
2560 BC: Great Pyramid of Giza is built around the Star Harvester
1200 BC: El Deir in Petra built to hide Tomb of the Primes
After 1200 BC: Seekers sent to find the Tomb of Primes. Only a riddle is discovered.
Before 1000 BC: Sentinel’s ship is shot down and is floatingly endlessly in space. Optimus becomes the new leader of the Autobots
1000 BC: Megatron crash lands on Earth when searching for the Allspark. As he didn’t inform anyone where he went, no one knew where to search for him. Starscream led with his absence. Megatron had left as he believed the war was won and thought it was time to search for the Allspark to help fix their planet. The war, however, continued as the Autobots were not going down. Some Decepticons became disillusioned with the Decepticons and became Autobots. This included Drift, Trench, and Crosshairs. This helped the Autobots get an advantage and this made the war last even longer.
Before 484 AD: The war killed Cybertron. Near the end of the war, Bumblebee lost his voice to Shockwave. The Knights discovered that Quintessa did not care for them or Cybertron. They took her staff and decided to hide on Earth. They assumed Quintessa would believe they went as far away from Unicron to keep the staff away. They assumed right and Quintessa did not immediately find them. Quintessa sent Lockdown to find the Lower Knights. The Dinobots, who also left Cybertron after being convinced from the Knights, went to other planets. Merlin discovers The Knights. They tell him of their destroyed planet and tell him to keep them a secret.
484 AD: Merlin asks The Knights of assistance against the Saxon hordes. Merlin is given The Staff.
After 484 AD: Merlin dies and most of the Knights protect his tomb. One decides to search for other Cybertronians to give refuge. The Cybertronians brought to Earth get in contact with the Order of the Witwiccans. Some of these Cybertronians include Bulldog, Hound, and Drift. Optimus and his main team, however, did not go to Earth due to them splitting up to try to find the Allspark. Bumblebee was the one who volunteered to go to Earth and search for the Allspark. After losing his voice, Bumblebee became withdrawn and way more violent, barely interacting with the humans on Earth and deciding not to interact with the Order of the Witwiccans unlike Hot Rod. (Hound came to earth around the 1700s. Bulldog and Drift came around the 1800s maybe? Hot Rod and Bumblebee came around the 1900s. Crosshairs might have come around the 1800s too?)
1897: Captain Archibald Witwicky discovers Megatron
1910s: Bulldog takes part in World War 1
1913: First Seven discover Allspark. The Allspark was dormant at that time so the signature couldn’t be reached to Bumblebee.
1927: Section Seven formed
1931: Hoover Dam bult around Allspark
After 1931: Megatron was brought over to Hoover Dam. Project Black Knife at some point is dismissed.
1940s: Bumblebee and Hot Rod fight with the Allies in the Devil’s Brigade. Bumblebee is still extremely violent at this time. He barely interacted with humans before this point in time.
1945: Watch that Killed Hitler…well killed Hitler.
After 1945: Hot Rod stays in Britain. Bumblebee continues his search for the Allspark. At some point Soundwave makes his way to earth as he learns that some Autobots were there and thought there might be something important there.
1960s: The Ark (Sentinel’s ship) lands on the moon. While this was no Allspark, Soundwave saw an opportunity with this discovery and sent some Decepticons there as well as informing Starscream of the situation. USSR finds Pillars being taken by Decepticons. The US has their astronauts investigate the ship. Starscream and some Decepticons start to make their way to Earth so see if the Pillars can be used to save Cybertron. They realize, however, that Sentinel is needed to make them work and that he was in stasis. They stay on earth to see if there is a way to use the Pillars without him and to make earth a somewhat base as well as kill any Autobots hiding on earth.
1970s: Soundwave and Laserbeak manipulate humans to stop further moon missions.
1980s: Chernobyl disaster caused by fuel cell extracted from the Ark
2003: Beagle 2 Rover reveals alien activity on Mars. This was most likely a Decepticon.
Before 2007: Soundwave gets some information about Sector Seven(perhaps one of his human companions learned about Sector Seven and it’s potential knowledge)

PRIME DIRECTIVES, CHAPTER 4
They had barely been able to get out of the Dam before it shut down, and she could see fire coming from the generator area.
“Shit,” she whispered, motioning to Morgan and Nathan. “Who do you think shot out the generators? Will it cause the cryostasis to fail?”
“Maybe if it were all of them, but just one looks damaged,” Morgan answered. “He might thaw a little, but he should stay here until the rest come for him.”
A dark blue Mustang sat in a pick-up stall, a man with blue hair looking anxiously between them and the generator. “There’s Overboard,” Nathan began to push them towards the said ex-Prime, and as they entered, she could see dozens of agents starting to flood the bridge. “Shit.”
“Car checks,” she murmured. “You’ve changed alt modes between the distraction and now, so you should be fine. Did you take the EM neutralizer?”
“Yes, but I don’t like it. It’s itchy,” he answered, and they were the next car.
Seymor Simmons was not a pleasant man to look at, but she grinned at him from the passenger seat. “Where are you coming from then?”
“We just got done with a tour,” she said. “We’re going to Vegas next. Can’t wait to see the ma-”
“Gambling,” the other three quickly interrupted, shooting her genuine scandalous looks. Simmons pursed his lips but also looked ready to laugh.
“Do you have proof of purchase for this car, as well as the tickets for the tour?”
Overboard offered up all of the documents, and one of the other agents took it for a few minutes before returning it with a nod, making Simmons sigh before stepping away, waving them forward.
“Well, enjoy your stay,”
-----------------------------------------------------
“You should’ve extracted the second you realized what His plan was,” Stormdrive all but screeched as the femme finished scanning her. “She’s absolutely doused in unstable radiation! It’s amazing that S7 didn’t sniff her out immediately.”
“I’m right here,” she muttered, glaring up at the femme, all the while holding a bucket in case she vomited again. “If we didn’t, the Allspark would’ve been destroyed.”
“And you wouldn’t be suffering from radiation sickness that we can’t treat unless we rob a hospital,” the femme countered.
“What do Megatron’s scans say?” Nathan interrupted, pinching his nose. “Please tell me you can gather some intel off of it.”
“Aside from his systems are absolutely wrecked by the constant sub-zero temperatures and his spark pulse is far too slow as a result? His EM field showed improvements the longer Riley had stayed near him. Three scans from different angles tell me nothing. I need a more in-depth scan,” she sounded ready to cry as she continued. “The fact that his EM field reacted to Riley shortly after transferring the Allspark, with the latent energy still enveloping her…”
“My theory has proof?” At her question, Stormdrive gave a single nod.
“It’s likely his EM field was corrupted by something, and when he became Lord Protector, the Allspark made that corruption go deeper into his processor banks.”
She closed her eyes, letting her head rest against one of the barn’s pillars. “I can’t exactly be with him for the next ten months to flush his field,” she whined. “And the day he unfreezes, he offlines.”
“So we’ll focus on cleansing his processor afterward,”
She felt sick again, and she could hear the various noises of concern and disgust as she heaved what little crackers and water she had gotten down back up. As she stopped, a sudden bout of dizziness hit her, causing her to moan before pitching forward, Morgan was barely able to catch her before she landed face-first in what the bucket used to hold.
“Let’s get you inside,” he soothed, pulling her onto her feet. The world spun with each step she took, until she finally had to pause, leaning against the hood of her car. “Tired? Headache?”
“Dizzy,” she murmured. “Hot. ‘M not feeling vomity anymore.”
“Is that a good sign? Storm, is not feeling sick good?”
She could feel Nathan trying to tug her away, but she closed her eyes, refusing to budge. After a few seconds, she felt considerably better. “I’m fine,” she murmured, trying to shake off their hands.
“You’re looking green again,” Morgan argued. “Let’s at least get you to some bushes.”
“No, I’m fine,” she insisted, physically shaking off their hands, the feeling of frustration slowly building up.
“Oh, for pit’s sake, just get in the house already. You’re swaying.”
“I said I’m fine,” she snapped, but they continued. She couldn’t describe how the more frustrated she got, the higher her fever spiked, or how she started to glow by faint Cybertronian runes seemingly tattooed into her skin appearing.
All she could describe was the sense of… of loneliness that filled her as she realized they weren’t listening to her. Their voices overlapped as she squeezed her eyes shut tighter, doing her best to ignore their raising voices. The mantra of I’m fine falling on deaf ears reminded her too much of her old life, of constantly lying through her teeth and putting on a smile.
Like her old life, it came crumbling down when they touched the back of her neck.
Her eyes flared open, and she slammed her hands on the car hood, snarling the same words she had been saying over and over again, except this time, what interrupted her was the sudden blast of energy that had the humans flying and hardlight forms flickering out of existence.
She lay there, stunned and staring at the sky as the others did the same, the birds slowly chirping again.
“What was that?” Nathan croaked out, prompting her to slowly sit up.
“I… I think it was energy build-up,” she answered in the same hoarse tone, horror leaking through her voice. “Oh god did I just…?”
“I sense a New Spark,” Overboard answered, stepping out of the barn. “Congratulations, Riley. It’s a Mechling.”
She felt ready to cry as she stared at the seemingly normal car in front of her, waiting for it to transform with red optics. She could tell the others were too before Morgan let out a choked snort and stood.
“I don’t think it took,” he said slowly. “Would’ve modified already.”
For some reason, her heart broke at that and she turned towards Stormdrive for confirmation, who frowned. “The spark pulse is fluctuating, but otherwise within stable range for a Cold Construct.”
-----------------------------------------------------
She was aware that they should’ve been in Tranquility by the end of the week, but she couldn’t bring it in herself to leave the still motionless muscle car behind, and none of the ‘bots could currently tow anything. She could rent a truck that could, sure, but she wasn’t allowed to touch anything tech related until they were sure she wouldn’t make any more.
Arguably, the others should drive then, but they all had some excuse as to why they couldn’t do it. She didn’t trust a third party to drive him, which led to moving day.
She gently knocked on his hood. “Your systems are fully formed,” she said, more for herself. “You can’t spend all year sleeping.” When there was no response, she sighed. “C’mon kiddo. Are you pitching a fit because I was upset when I made you? I already said I was sorry.”
Stormdrive stepped out of the cabin in her hardlight form, her head tilted to the side. “I believe he… wants a designation.”
“He doesn’t have one already?” She asked, blinking.
“No. Often, our creators choose a designation, or it is encoded in our frame if we are Cold Forged.”
She suddenly felt shitty and turned back to the mech. “How about you transform and we’ll work on a name, ok?” For a split second, she swore his armor began to shift before settling back, making her sigh. “I’m not exactly a good person to get named by.”
“Perhaps some basic names?” Stormdrive suggested.
“Basic,” she sighed. “Something like, what? Sunjaw?”
“Usually just one,” she corrected. “Like Trident of Thunder,”
Instantly, she shook her head. “Those don’t feel right. Dynamo?” No, it still felt off.
“He’s colored like fire.” Storm mused. “Firewing, perhaps?”
“Definitely Fire, but ‘wing doesn’t seem right,” she agreed. “Are you sure you don’t want to transform and help us?”
Finally, there was a noise, a whine that sounded like someone was about to start crying as the car broke apart. She watched in amazement as the mech transformed, ending as his doors clicked across his chest, bright blue optics looking at her with a frown. Almost immediately, she noticed how tall he was. The tallest ‘bot she’s seen (aside from Megatron) was Velocity, who stood at 22 feet tall, yet he was definitely four or more feet taller than him. Maybe even taller than Optimus, but she was definitely sure he was smaller than the Decepticon leader.
“Primus, if he’s what you make when angry, what will you make when happy?” Storm joked. “We might have Titans again!”
“Was that a Clifford reference?”
The femme just smirked before walking around the mech, who shifted, side-eyeing her as best as he could. “He’s got a good arsenal too,” she announced. “I think you made yourself a guardian.”
“No!” she instantly denied, making the mech flinch. “Hey, no, don’t- I’m saying no because you were made literally this week. I’m going to be a really high-risk target, and I don’t want you in danger like that, ok?”
There was another whine, a bit lower, and she sighed, looking at Storm for help. “He wants to help,” she translated. “He thinks it hurts when you’re sad.”
“All kids think that,” she murmured. “Do you like the bit that we have so far? Fire?” The mech let out a warble before shrugging, making her let out a laugh. “I know it’s not complete, but it’s a start, right?” He nodded, making her smile. “Do you think you’re ok with following Storm to our new home for the next few months? I’ll be in the driver's seat to help.”
-----------------------------------------------------
She had a three-bedroom house that had a two-car garage attached, but a three-car in the backyard that had an open loft, so the ‘bots could transform in here. Well, maybe not all of them, but Prime’s alt mode would definitely fit.
She still had enough of a backyard that she could decorate it as she pleased. As it were, since Michael was enrolled, as was ‘Bee, they had to decorate their own rooms, though ‘Bee’s was more for display than use… Or it should’ve been, had he not discovered her switch and immediately begun playing on it.
“I only have one of those,” she said, building the desk as he lay on the bed, the switch above him as he mashed buttons. “If you break it, you’ll have to manually replace what you broke.”
He paused, looking between her and the console before signing out Common.
“Nope! It was released in 2016. So the tech for it hasn’t even been made yet. I have one, and I’m not sure if the others do, but again if you break it, I will cry. I’ve sunk at least a hundred hours into Breath of the Wild.”
He nodded as if agreeing before frowning and pointing at the desk before himself.
“If someone thinks you don’t live here, I could get in trouble,” she answered. “Plus a desk will help with schoolwork.” She then paused. “Ah, shit, I’m pretty sure you’re going to have a genealogy report in history. We’re going to have to figure something out about that.”
He frowned again, tilting his head before reaching for the notepad he had on the bedside table. What does that entail?
“Family history,” she answered. “Like a family tree or someone important in your family. Sam will do a report on Archibald, as an example.”
I never knew my creators, he wrote. And one of my adoptive sires tore my vocal banks out.
“Well… We’ll work on something. Maybe even get some of the other bots in on it.” He let out a silent laugh alongside her, but her heart hurt at the confirmation that Megatron had helped raise ‘Bee. “Have you decided what classes you’re going to take?”
Same as Michael, he wrote. The school said they’d let me.
“So you’re going to be a band kid,” she muttered. “God help me.”
-----------------------------------------------------
Michael already knew how to play the trumpet, but Bumblebee spent too much time browsing the internet for memes, apparently, as he chose a trombone and just laughed when her face showed his dismay.
What was even worse was that he locked himself out of the datapacket that would’ve taught him how to play, which meant he actually had to learn like a human.
On a completely different note, Albert and Aaron, Alpha Trion and Alchemist respectfully, were able to infiltrate S7 and Gould Industry, so now they had a full scope of the Decepticons and Government activities. It was made slightly worse as Particle and Aeroblade, Prima and Amalgomous, were off planet attempting to scout Sentinel’s ship and then finding any signs or sightings of Quintessa.
This immediately put four of quite possibly their best scouts in immediate danger, as both Gould and S7 have proven they’re willing to end anything that stands in their own way, and if Sentinel was woken ahead of schedule, or if Quintessa was indeed real and brought to Earth, that meant Unicron would wake up far too soon.
Sitting in her study, she let out an aggravated noise and pulled on her hair for a few seconds before taking a deep breath. She could deal with this. She could handle this.
Her phone buzzed.
It was Optimus.
She stared at it, feeling herself slowly get flustered as she reached for the phone, taking another moment to try to calm herself before reading it. She needed to get over this crush of the Autobot leader if they were to work together. It wouldn't be fair to him for her to put him up on a high pedestal than he already was on.
[O. PAX]: [VIDEO ATTACHMENT]
[O. PAX]: Bumblebee has informed me that despite having achieved basic space travel, many humans have not yet seen footage of another planet. He also stated that you often stargaze.
[O. PAX]: I hope that this may satisfy any curiosities you may have.
She stared long and hard and the blank video image before slowly accepting the datapacket, letting the video play.
At first, she couldn’t quite comprehend what she was looking at. It was just a bunch of people laughing and walking around a strange, yet beautiful park. That was until she took a closer look. Cybertronians. The Towers of Iacon. She could see what seemed to be 6 various colored lights shooting up in the sky.
This was Cybertron before it fell.
[SECURED PHONE 1]: I… have no words. Your planet is very beautiful. I can understand how one can fight so long for its survival.
[O. PAX]: Your words are appreciated, but flawed. Cybertron is dead. Even if the Allspark was to be recovered without Decepticon intervention, there are other items required that are needed to ensure its survival.
[SECURED PHONE 1]: Tell us what you need.
[SECURED PHONE 1]: Please?

Robotic Friendshp - Chapter 12
Summary: The Autobots get a super virus on their computer system. Raf's oldest sister is brought in to help.
Pairing: Ratchet x OC (platonic), Soundwave x OC (platonic)
Word Count: 1211
Warnings/Disclaimers: Soundwave being not so nice to Nikki but then attempting to make up for it.
Masterlist
Tumblr media
A tendril swept out and slammed Nikki into the wall. A throbbing pain shot down from her head all the way down her spine. "I'm sorry!" she cried out.
Soundwave held her datapad in another tendril. Nikki had been working for almost twenty-four hours now. She was exhausted, but apparently that did not excuse the few mistakes she made in the last set of assigned code.
"Please!" Tears welled up in her eyes.
He squished her into the wall more, his blank faceplate staring at her intensely. She cringed even more. I don't want to die… Not like this!
Soundwave swung her back gently to the panel she sat on before, not giving her back the datapad. She looked up at him meekly, wondering what his next move was going to be. He held her gaze silently before lifting up a servo and softly pushing her to lie down.
She watched him with wide eyes. Does he…want me to go to sleep? She did not fuss once she was lying on her side. It felt nice to relax like that. Within moments, her lack of sleep overcame her.
-
Ratchet tapped his pede on the ground. He had sent a transmission out to WheelJack and had not received a reply. Raf was asleep on the couch. While everyone else had gone home to rest, Raf stayed. He wanted to be there when they found Nikki. In his hand, he held the Energon shard he had found. For some reason, he felt better with it near.
A quick beep startled Raf awake. Ratchet made a b-line to the computer. "This is Ratchet."
"Yo, Doc."
"It's about time you responded!"
"Whoa! Calm down, Doc! What's with the urgency?"
Raf sat there, fiddling with the shard.
"You didn't even listen to the transmission?" Ratchet's servos were up in the air. "One of our human allies has been kidnapped!"
"And this is Autobot concern beca—"
"—By the Decepticons."
Silence.
"What? Are they trying to use it has bait?"
Ratchet shook his helm. "We are not sure yet."
"…Send over a Ground Bridge?"
He was anxiously waiting for that response. He pulled the lever to the bridge and WheelJack dissolved through. He waved to Raf. "Sup?"
Raf shrugged and kept fidgeting.
Ratchet proceeded to explain what had happened. "We need extra scouts. Have you seen the Nemesis recently?"
WheelJack shook his helm. "No. But if the Boss Bot is that concerned, I'll help ya out."
Ratchet nodded. "Thank you. Optimus and the others went out searching. They will be regrouping here soon."
WheelJack began to pace. "Soon" meant nothing at this point. He took notice of Raf and leaned his faceplate over the railing. "Whatcha got there?"
Raf jumped. "I-It's…" He held out the shard in his palm. "I found it earlier…"
Ratchet made his way over for a look. "Where in the Allspark did you find that?"
"Mmm… By the couch."
"What? Are you feeding humans Energon now?" WheelJack joked.
"Wait…this…" Ratchet held out his servo.
Raf placed it in the medic's palm.
Ratchet studied it closely. "This was…the shard that cut her…"
-
Nikki's hand burned when she woke up to the feeling of a breeze. Her eyes opened and she saw the walls moving. What in the… She sat up groggily. She nearly jumped out of her skin, finding she was sitting on Soundwave's shoulder.
Realizing her awakened state, a tendril wrapped its prongs around her and pulled her off. They reached an automatic door the whizzed open. A short distance away, Megatron stood in front of gigantic screens with his back to the two of them. Nikki held her bandaged hand, which made a crunching noise. Though startled by this discovery, she was still more worried about Megatron.
"Soundwave, report."
He handed Megatron a datapad.
"…Good. Now fix the navigation and flight."
Soundwave answered with one solid nod.
-
"What are you going on about, Doc?"
Ratchet waved a servo, shrugging WheelJack off. He brought the shard to his workstation. Raf looked to WheelJack who glanced back and raised his servos meaning, "I don't know." Frowning, the tiny human went to the other side of the platform. "Ratchet, what are you doing?"
Waving them off again, he replied, "I'm working." He put the shard into a test tube and began melting it down. He mumbled to himself, "This is insane, but it might just work."
-
Soundwave brought Nikki back to the workroom and placed on the panel she was at before, setting the datapad in front of her. He pointed to it. Nikki re-situated herself and reviewed the code. Oh boy… This is starting to get out of my league… She glanced up at Soundwave who was staring down at her. Sighing, she starts typing. What am I going to do if I hit something I don't know?
The lanky, voiceless robot turned to his own work. He was going through the navigation system. That required so much data that a mere human could not possibly fathom it. Every now and then, he glanced over at Nikki. Her pace was much slower than it had been. After an hour, he suspected she might be stalling in some futile hope that the Autobots might triumphantly appear and save her. He paused. She looked…frustrated. She was running a hand through her hair and clenching it. Then, she typed a few more lines of code. As she reviewed the next lines, she pulled her low ponytail over her shoulder, twirling it into knots. Soundwave stared down. She would only write a tiny amount of code and then replace it while sighing heavily.
He picked up the datapad. Nikki spun around and cringed. What did I do wrong? Her eyes widened, for fear that he might throw her into a wall again. Her back still hurt if she moved too quickly. Soundwave tapped the screen rapidly before placing it back. She checked it and scrolled down. Everything she had just worked on had been fixed in some slight way. At the bottom was a relatively large set of code but it was much easier than what she had been doing. She looked up at Soundwave confused. He had already turned away to finish his own project.
-
Raf and WheelJack sat around, impatiently waiting for Ratchet to say something. Optimus called for a Ground bridge about half an hour in, to which Ratchet switched on in a huff. The Autobots rolled in and transformed. Bulkhead, normally excited to see his old buddy, only said, "Hey, Jackie," and bumped knuckles with him. Ratchet walked away before shutting off the bridge. Optimus looked to Arcee who was the closest to the lever now. She shrugged and pulled it, the glow of the portal dissipating.
"Ratchet?" Optimus walked up behind the normally grumpy medic.
He waved his servo. "Just a moment. Almost have it…"
Optimus glanced to Raf and WheelJack who had no answers for him.
"Ha-hah!" Ratchet yelped triumphantly.
The monitor in front of him bleeped and ran through the command code. It then displayed a map of Earth and began scanning.
WheelJack vented harshly, "You gonna tell us now, Doc?"
Ratchet spun around with a grin on his faceplate. "I have, theoretically, found Nikki!"

Masters and Students
"Such a shame." Starscream said as he watched the Space bridge explosion, "But I applaud you, Megatron. You certainly made a grand exit."
Echo clenched her fists tightly as she left the control bridge and Soundwave walked over to Starscream.
"Ah, Soundwave, cue the audio/visual. I wish to address the troops." Soundwave only nodded.
All over the screens and throughout the halls, the troops had heard Starscream give out his message.
"The loss of Megatron, leader of the great Decepticon uprising, is certainly a blow to our cause. Yet we mustn't despair of his tragic demise. But instead embrace his ultimate sacrifice and build upon the foundation he laid with an even mightier hand."
A Vehicon had spoken up, "With all due respect Commander-I mean Lord Starscream."
"Yes, yes, what is it?" Starscream said.
"If we failed to conquer Earth under Lord Megatron's command, what hope do we have now while the Autobots still defend it?" The Vehicon asked.
Starscream sighed and replied, "Allow me to be crystal clear... I studied for millennia under our former Master. Thus I am equipped to lead you. I, Megatron's true heir, Lord Starscream, Emperor of Destruction!" The crowd of Vehicons looked to each other and talked to one another. Starscream let out a scoff and had Soundwave cut the feed and audio.
"What use are troops who can't rise to the task of inflicting unspeakable destruction in my name?" The Seeker huffed.
"Maybe it's because they actually have loyalty towards someone who's led them for years," Echo spoke up as she stalked towards Starscream, her optics blazing with fury, "you're too cowardly and hardheaded to be a leader!"
"I suggest you watch your tone, Echo," Starscream growled. "Make me, you sorry excuse for a Decepticon!" Echo snapped, her digits turning into claws.
Soundwave stood between his sister and Starscream and Echo stared up at him, her wings shaking with bitterness towards Starscream. Soundwave shook his helm at his sister, silently telling her not to start a fight that she did not want to finish.
Echo clenched her fists tightly before she turned and walked out of the room. Starscream huffed and turned away from Soundwave, "now with that out of the way... Legend tells of one capable warrior, one who exists here upon this very planet, one who can be student to my master."
◊◊◊◊
Optimus sighed as he stood, overlooking the rock formations that surrounded him. It's been a week since they disabled the Decepticon Space Bridge, which resulted in Megatron's demise.
"Optimus, why so glum? This planet – all planets – are finally free from Megatron's tyranny!" Ratchet cheered.
"I do not disagree, Ratchet," Optimus admitted, a very large part of him content in knowing that his family would be safer than they were when Megatron lived, "It's just...a small part of me hoped to change Megatron's mind. Not extinguish his spark."
"Optimus, his vileness was not slain by your hand! But by his own twisted arrogance!" Ratchet protested, earning a hum of displeasure from the Prime, "I'm sorry. I know the two of you have quite a history."
"But the Megatron whom I once fought aside perished eons ago; the day he chose to become a Decepticon," Optimus rumbled before quickly changing the topic, "The Decepticons may be in disarray. But they aren't without leadership. And while Starscream is no Megatron, he is far from predictable." Suddenly an explosion shook the base.
"Decepticons! We're under attack!" Ratchet exclaimed and he and Optimus ran to the source of the explosion. Only it wasn't an attack. It was Rafael's volcano science project.
"It's not an attack Ratchet. It's my volcano," Raf said as he waved his hand against the smoke that started to fade away and his volcano deflated, "or was."
"Hold still, Bulkhead," Miko said as Bulkhead held a small model of the Solar System, "Jupiter needs its red spot. Whoopsie!"
"What... in the Allspark is going on around here?" Ratchet demanded. "Our projects are due tomorrow," Jack said.
Arcee picked up a part of the motorcycle she and Jack were working on. "Maybe it needs one of these doohickeys," she said.
"You're a motorcycle Arcee," Jack said with a smirk, "shouldn't you know how to build a motorcycle engine?" "You're a human, Jack," Arcee shot back, "can you build me a small intestine?"
"Burn!" Miko and Paige said and Firestorm snickered. Jack huffed.
"Well you can't make these projects in here," Ratchet said, "you're making a mess!" "But the science fair's a big part of our grade," Raf said.
"Yeah," Miko agreed, "if Bulkhead doesn't help me finish this model of our Solar System-" "Oh?" Ratchet interrupted, "and what does Bulkhead know of your solar system? Or Bumblebee of your volcanoes? Or...?"
"Arcee of our motorcycles?" Jack asked, earning a look from his guardian.
"Precisely," Ratchet said, "we're not Earthlings and they're not scientists." "But the Autobots are their guardians, Ratchet," Optimus said, "would it hurt to learn more of Earth by helping our young friends with their schoolwork?"
"Well maybe our young friends should learn more of Cybertron," Ratchet huffed. Raf looked over at Paige, "what are you and Primrose working on, Paigey?"
"I'm just holding the flashlight," Primrose said. "I'm painting the galaxies and the constellations," Paige said as she sat on the far side of the main hangar, painting a rather large canvas. Primrose held a Cybertronian-sized flashlight and shined it down on the painting.
"Plus I’m making another project, but you can’t see it yet. Also, Ratchet," Paige said, making the Autobot medic look at her, "if you want- and if it's not too much trouble, can you teach me about Cybertron?"
"Really? You actually want to learn?" Ratchet asked, surprised. Paige smiled and nodded, "what's wrong with teaching a Galatrian about Cybertronian history and culture? Nothing, I'm sure. Plus, I've been meaning to learn about your planet."
Ratchet stared at Paige, completely shocked. "Someone's actually made Ratchet speechless," Firestorm chuckled, "I'm impressed. Ow!" He held his helm when a wrench suddenly decked him in the helm and he glared at Ratchet.
"Alright. I'll teach you," Ratchet said with a soft smile. "Yay!" Paige said happily. Primrose squeaked in surprise when some paint was flung her way and it landed on her faceplate.
"Whoops! Sorry Prim," Paige said with an apologetic smile.
"It's alright. The messier, the better," Primrose chuckled.

Starscream, Soundwave and Echo were currently in the canyon looking for the warrior that Starscream had spoke of earlier in the warship. Though it had struck Echo as odd that they would look in a place such as Earth. And as much as she would've loved to beat Starscream into a bloody mess, she was also glad that Soundwave was here to stop her- most likely electrocute her in a way.
"Starscream." Echo said calmly, getting his attention, "This warrior that you talked about earlier, why in the name of the Allspark would they be here on Earth?"
Starscream said, "During the Great War, so much energon was hidden on this forsaken rock, that our departed master sent some of Cybertron's greatest to guard it-True warriors now lying in stasis, waiting to be reawakened."
"When you put it like that, it actually makes the most sense," Echo said.
"Yes," Starscream replied, "Though it was such a folly that late in life Megatron searched for distant space for warriors, rather than here beneath his feet." Soundwave was still trying to figure out where the warrior was; despite him not saying anything Starscream had said, "What do you mean you can't pinpoint his signal? I know we're close! Boost the power to your sensors!"
Soundwave did this and they found what they were looking for.
"Is that it?" Echo asked. "Yes," he said, "there." With that, he, Soundwave and Echo transformed into their aerial forms and flew up into the air.

Raf was rebuilding his volcano. But he wasn't really paying attention. He was paying more attention to Bumblebee's stories from the war, particularly when Bumblebee mentioned that he hasn't made warrior class.
"Really, Bumblebee? Then how do you make warrior class?" Raf wanted to know, causing Bumblebee to bleep some stuff about experience getting in the way, "But I've seen you in action! You're awesome!"
That was when Optimus decided to intervene, placing his servo on his adoptive son's shoulder whilst saying to Raf, "I second your opinion, Raf. But Autobot lifecycles are much longer than those of humans. And though it may be hard to believe, our young scout still has much to experience."
"Well experience is the best thing to have," Paige said as she walked over to Optimus, Bumblebee and Raf. She was wearing a white shirt, along with some overalls and she was wearing her sketchers shoes.
"You done with your painting already?" Bumblebee asked.
"Yeah. I took it outside on the roof to dry," Paige said, rubbing her hands on the pants of her overalls, 'I think Cliff would've loved it.' She jumped when the monitors started going off.
"Exposed Energon! And it's on the move!" Ratchet proclaimed.
"And since we're not moving it, guess who must be!" Bulkhad challenged.
"Decepticons," Arcee answered as she stood next to Optimus.
"Without Megatron?" Miko asked in disbelief.
"Unfortunately, Megatron's legacy will live on as others rise to take his place," Optimus sighed gravely. "Why am I suddenly being reminded of wolves?" Paige asked aloud, making Optimus look at her curiously.
Optimus turned to his team, "Autobots, you have projects to complete. Ratchet, I may acquire first aid."
Ratchet was a bit hesitant at this, and turned to the three kids currently working on their projects.
"Science fair is a big part of their grade." Ratchet said to his leader, "Perhaps I'm best suited to remain and advise."
Optimus agreed to this, "Very well." He said, before turning to his scouts, "Bumblebee, Primrose, let us see about this energon in transit."
"Can I come?" Paige asked. "No," Optimus, Bumblebee and Primrose said in unison, making the fourteen year old girl squeak.
"You know it is too dangerous," Optimus said firmly. Paige frowned, "well I'm Dauntless enough to face danger!"
"This isn't Divergent," Jack called out. "Watch it, Jackson!" Paige said, glaring at the sixteen year old boy who put his hands up in surrender.
"What would your mother say?" Primrose asked in a playful tone. Paige opened her mouth but closed it and she crossed her arms over her chest and pouted.
Bumblebee buzzed with laughter as the ground bridge opened. Paige let out a meow of protest and she kicked invisible dirt with her foot. Optimus gently rubbed her head before he, Bumblebee and Primrose went through the ground bridge.

Echo watched as Starscream and Soundwave pulled out what was a stasis chamber as she stood back. After they pulled the the stasis chamber out from where it was, they took a step back. "Soundwave, the cube." Starscream said.
Soundwave took out a container containing a single energon cube. He handed it over to Starscream; he placed it in the slot that was provided. The capsule had started to activate.
"The energon infusion!" Starscream said, "It's working!" They were soon blinded by a blue light.
In the distance, Optimus, Bumblebee and Primrose walked out of the ground bridge. They heard sounds just nearby. "Do you guys hear that?" Primrose asked.
"This doesn't feel right," Bumblebee said. "No Bumblebee, it does not," Optimus said, "hold your position and await my command."
Primrose and Bumblebee both nodded.
The stasis chamber opened and reveal the warrior inside; Starscream had stepped forward.
"Awaken warrior!" He said, "Rise and serve your new master!" Echo could tell that he was as large and giant as Megatron was; his color scheme was of green, white and red, and his optics glowed red. And a part of her was glad that he was another Seeker.
He spoke with a booming voice, "Skyquake only serves one master." "Excellent." Starscream said, "Your loyalty and devotion will set a fine example for the troops," he sent Echo a glare, "among other things. No need to be timid, Skyquake. You may bow."
Echo felt her right optic twitch and she ground her denta together to hold herself back. Soundwave placed his servo on his sister's shoulder and gave a light squeeze.
"You fail to grasp my meaning." Skyquake said, "I am here on a mission assigned to me by my one true master- Megatron." "Yes. Him." Starscream said, "Sadly Megatron is no longer with us."
"Impossible." Skyquake said.
"Why is this so difficult for everyone to accept? Skyquake, I located you. I awakened you. Thus I, Lord Starscream, am your one true master!" Starscream snapped.
Skyquake growled, stepping towards Starscream who quickly stepped back. "It has been quite awhile Skyquake." Optimus spoke up, getting his attention.
Skyquake turned to him. "Optimus Prime." He said, "I haven't seen you since the Battle of Technar. Megatron ordered me to annihilate you."
"That was a long time ago." Optimus said.
"That may be, Prime, but my orders still stand," Skyquake said.
"Is this ancient war still worth fighting when so many comrades have been lost and worlds destroyed? If you want to be a true leader, Starscream, then stray from Megatron's path and lead the Decepticons towards peace," Optimus said firmly.
"I would be willing to consider a truce..." Starscream said, "If you are willing to bow before me... Optimus Prime."
"Again?" Skyquake said angrily, "Bow to this!"
Skyquake swung his arm and with one hit, Starscream was sent flying right into the wall. Echo widened her optics in surprise before she transformed into her aerial form and flew up into the air with Soundwave and Starscream following.
"Skyquake, this is a new era. On another world. Side with the Autobots and help me end this conflict forever," Optimus once again pleaded the newly-awakened Decepticon.
"I will NEVER side with a Prime!" Skyquake proclaimed as he ran towards Optimus.
Optimus never saw the next hit coming. So when Skyquake threw a punch at him, he didn't block it. Instead, he let it knock him into a nearby archway. Skyquake picked Optimus up by his shoulders and threw the other around.
Above the ensuing battle, Starscream, Soundwave and Echo watched everything unfold. "What need have we for peace when we have Skyquake?" Starscream asked rhetorically to Echo and Soundwave.
"With some disapline, he will learn to respect his new master," the Seeker continued, "And once it becomes known that Skyquake destroyed the great Optimus Prime under our command, all Decepticons will greatfully bow to us."
Bumblebee and Primrose watched the fight between Optimus and Skyquake become intense. A little too intense for Primrose's liking. Optimus unlocked his blaster and shot at Skyquake twice.
The large Decepticon Seeker pulled out his own blaster and fired at Optimus. Each rapid shot hit the Prime, knocking him back but he still stood on his pedes. Having seen enough, Primrose and Bumblebee ran forward.
"Bumblebee, Primrose, no!" Optimus shouted. Bumblebee fired at Skyquake's back, catching the large Seeker by surprise. He whirled around, his blaster reloaded and ready. With each fire he made, Bumblebee avoided being hit. He jumped from wall to wall within the canyon, avoiding fire. Eventually, one hit Bumblebee, sending him crashing to the ground.
Primrose jumped forward and she grabbed Skyquake's blaster. Skyquake grabbed Primrose and threw her aside.
"Do not miss a single moment, Soundwave!" Starscream instructed, "We shall need visual documentation of Optimus Prime's demise for the historical record!"
Optimus and Skyquake punched at each other, both bots often missing and hitting again and again. When Skyquake knocked Optimus back, Bumblebee and Primrose got up beside their leader.
"He can't transform yet?" Bumblebee asked, confused. "Skyquake has not yet acquired a vehicle mode," Optimus said.
Skyquake charged at the three bots. "Fall back!" Optimus exclaimed. Before Skyquake could swing at the three Autobots, they quickly transformed into their vehicle forms and drove away.
“So time has made you a coward, Prime?" Skyquake called after him as he fired a few more shots from his blaster.
◊◊◊◊
"Let's see. Where is it?" Ratchet muttered as he used his blowtorch to assemble Raf's volcano.
"Um...what is it?" Raf wanted to know.
"You'll find out," Ratchet answered.
"But Ratchet, shouldn't I be doing the work?" Raf protested.
"Zep-yip-yip-yip! Don't touch! Just watch and learn!" Ratchet said sternly as he shooed the twelve year old boy away.
"So we're just gonna help Jack and Miko finish theirs..." Bulkhead trailed off as he referred to himself and Arcee.
"Without my supervision?! You want them to be right, don't you?" Ratchet asked, causing Arcee and Bulkhead to look at each other and give small shrugs. "Then watch a master at work!" Ratchet said eagerly.
"Control freak," Miko murmured. "That's the understatement of the century," Jack huffed as he walked over to Paige who was messing with some wires. She had some scissors in her hand.
"Paige?" Jack called out. Paige jumped and she hit her head, making her yelp and she shouted in pain when the scissors cut her arm.
"Fudge nuggets it all! Jack, don't sneak up on me like that- especially when I'm lost in thought!" Paige snapped. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Jack exclaimed.
Ratchet, Bulkhead, Arcee, Raf and Miko hurried over to them. "What happened?" Ratchet asked.
"I accidentally scared Paige and she cut her arm," Jack said.
"Not to mention, I hit my head," Paige said. "What were you trying to do?" Bulkhead asked.
"Well I was trying to untangle some wires in the main wall because I figured that might give you some trouble," Paige said, "I had a toolbox stashed away."
"Let me see," Ratchet said as he activated his human form and he gently held Paige's arm, "it's a small cut, nothing major. I suggest you let me handle those wires from now on." He started to wrap her arm in some bandages.
"Sorry," Paige said, "thought I could help." "I appreciate that," Ratchet said with a soft smile and he looked at Paige.
She stared at him, her light brown eyes connecting with his light blue eyes. He stared at her, his face meters away from hers. He felt his human heart pounding against his chest and he felt his cheeks warm up.
Miko looked between the two and a sly smile appeared on her face. Paige's phone started buzzing and she picked it up out of her pocket.
She gave it to Ratchet who looked at the text message and his eyes slightly widened. The text was from Marcus and it said: 'make a move on my daughter and your spark is mine.' A shiver ran up the medic's spine and he sighed softly.
"Protective Dad?" Jack asked. "Yep," Paige giggled, "my parents have protective daddy and mommy senses- and they tingle."
"Remind me again as to why and how your parents know about us yet Ratchet and Optimus know them?" Bulkhead asked curiously. "They thought it'd be a good idea to tell me about my home planet," Paige said, "although it sounds weird, coming from me. Plus, Mom said that Ratchet and Dad met when Cybertron still had it's Golden Age. I don't know how to explain it myself."
◊◊◊◊
"We've lost sight of them! Soundwave, why aren't you tracking them?" Starscream screeched, "What? What is it?"
Soundwave was showing Starscream something else. A different map. It wasn't of the area they are currently watching Skyquake's battle with Optimus and Bumblebee. But a map of Earth and the space that surrounds it.
"A second Decepticon life signal? But Skyquake is the only sleeper buried in this area!" Starscream scoffed in disbelief as he studied Soundwave's map closer.
But Echo noticed something perculiar about the life signal. She knew that area well. After all, they were there just days ago.
"The sight of our destroyed Space Bridge! You're not telling us that life signal belongs to Megatron?" Starscream gasped as the realization dawned on them both, "but he was microns from the detination point! Nothing could have survived that blast! Your sensors must be faulty! Ignore the contact! Delete the coordinates!" Echo gave Starscream an icy glare which was quickly unnoticed.
"What am I saying? Of course it must be investigated! If Lord Megatron is up there, I shall bring him home. Soundwave, Echo, remain here and monitor the outcome. When Skyquake snuffs Prime's spark, I must bare witness," Starscream instructed.
With those words said, Starscream jumped into the canyon below. Once he was close to the ground, he transformed into his alternative jet mode and flew away from the canyon. Soundwave and Echo just stood by and watched him leave.
"Must bare witness," Soundwave repeated before he deployed Laserbeak and she flew up into the air.
◊◊◊◊
"Tango 6 Alpha to Station Command. We're picking up transmissions from unidentified technology. Possibly hostile. We are moving to investigate."
"Negative, Tango Six Alpha," Agent Fowler interrupted the communications between the two respective personnel, "This is Special Agent William Fowler intercepting. Strike your report from the record and abide origin coordinates. I'll take it from here."
◊◊◊◊
Down in the canyon below, the chase appeared to be working out in the favor of the Autobots. Primrose continued to drive around the canyon with Skyquake hot on her trail. However, Primrose eventually reached a dead end. Once she did, she transformed into her bipedal form.
"It will be a shame to crush you, young Prime. But it is my duty," Skyquake remarked.
Suddenly, he heard the familiar sound of a truck horn behind him. He turned around and saw Optimus approaching him in his truck mode. Immediately, he started firing shots from his blaster. Whilst taking hits, Optimus transformed into his bipedal form and punched Skyquake in the face.
"Excellent strategy, Primrose," Optimus complimented his scout as Bumblebee drove up beside them.
Skyquake began to get up. "Skyquake, stay down," Optimus instructed as he retaliated with his own punch.
Bits of shrapnel broke off from Skyquake's face due to Optimus' punch. Skyquake fell to the ground weakened. Optimus, Primrose and Bumblebee stood above him. He appeared to be defeated.
"Fowler?" Optimus gasped as he looked up and saw a familiar fighter jet.
While Optimus, Primrose and Bumblebee were distracted, Skyquake looked up at the jet with a sinister grin. His eyes glowed green as he took in the appearance of the jet.
"Agent Fowler, fall back!" Optimus pleaded Fowler through their radio connection.
In his eyes were the designs of the fighter jet he had just scanned. Skyquake jumped above Optimus. Before either Optimus, Primrose, Bumblebee or Fowler could do anything about it, Skyquake was no longer in his bipedal form. But instead, he was in his recently-acquired alternative mode. His alternative mode was the jet Fowler was flying and Skyquake had scanned. He flew towards the skies at high speeds, intent on finishing his enemies once and for all.
"Well, I'll be a bald eagle!" Fowler remarked as he noticed Skyquake flying next to him.
"Air superiority achieved," Skyquake proclaimed as he fired shots at Optimus, Primrose and Bumblebee below him.
Immediately, Optimus, Primrose and Bumblebee started running for cover from Skyquake's shots. Needing more speed to do so, they transformed into their vehicle forms and sped away.
"Stealing plans for classified military aircraft will NOT be tolerated on my watch!" Fowler proclaimed as he fired shots at the phoney classified military aircraft.
To Skyquake, Fowler was now his new target of destruction. He fired a group of missles at the government agent. And they are no ordinary missles.
"HEAT SEAKERS!" Fowler gasped.
Fowler was now thankful of his intense compulsory pilot training. With his special maneovers, he managed to avoid the missles. When he reached a dead end, he pulled up immediately. Below him, the missles flew into the rocky cliff face and exploded upon impact.
"I still got it," Fowler boasted rather proudly.
◊◊◊◊
Bits of shrapnel from the Space Bridge explosion remained in space, floating around Earth's orbit.
"No one could have survived this." Starscream said as he looked through the rubble. "As I suspected faulty sensors, the last thing I need now is rumors that Megatron is still..." A painful moan interrupted him and Starscream hesitantly found the source. Megatron's burnt body was present and still in one piece. Every bit of him was charred and black and he had scratches everywhere from his body. There was a large whole in the center of his chest, right where his spark should be. "Megatron.." Starscream said amazed. At the slightest touch Megatron reacted.
"AAARRGGHH!" He roared as he grabbed at Starscream, who's optics went wide with fright. He wasn't sure if Megatron recognized him or not, but just as quickly as the attack started it ended with Megatron going limp again.
"But how?" The seeker said puzzled, until he saw a familiar purple glow. "Dark energon." Starscream leaned into Megatron's unconscious form. "Everyone believes you are deceased, who am I to disappoint them...master." He slowly pulled out the shard and Megatron groaned in pain before collapsing again. "And this time stay dead." Starscream snapped before pushing off his body. Suddenly he heard the chittering sound of Laserbeak nearby as the minicon flew over to Starscream and Megatron.
"Soundwave!" Starscream gasped as he hid the Dark Energon shard, "If you are listening, I have found Lord Megatron. And he is...unwell. We must transport him to sick bay...immediately!"
◊◊◊◊
Down in the canyon, the chase continued involving Optimus, Primrose and Bumblebee on the ground and Skyquake and Fowler in the air. Optimus, Primrose and Bumblebee narrowly avoided every shot Skyquake fired. One missle came too close for Optimus' liking. It sent him flying through the air. Optimus transformed into his bipedal mode to prevent potential self-harm.
But Skyquake ignored the Prime. He continued going after Bumblebee and Primrose. They continued to drive through the canyon with Skyquake flying close behind them firing shots from his blasters. Eventually, Primrose drove around a corner and Bumblebee drove up a hill at high speeds, causing him to fly over the top of the hill. Midair, Bumblebee transformed into his bipedal mode and ran across the hot, sandy ground underneath his feet. Skyquake flew above the gap of the canyon.
Bumblebee jumped from the edge of the canyon and landed on top of Skyquake. Immediately, the jet began flying out of control, randomly knocking Bumblebee into cliff faces in the process. From the ground, Optimus witnessed the events between the two. And he immediately knew that Bumblebee would need further support.
"Agent Fowler, we acquire immediate assistance!" The Prime said.
Bumblebee was punching Skyquake and ripping out bits of wiring vital to his bodily functions. Bumblebee's actions sent Skyquake into a crash dive, rapidly approaching the ground below. Immediately, Fowler was hot on their tail.
Bumblebee looked to Fowler and buzzed and beeped his thanks.
"Anytime, fella. Ground floor's coming up fast!" Fowler remarked.
Bumblebee jumped from Skyquake and landed on top of Fowler's jet. Immediately, Fowler pulled up to avoid crash-landing alongside Skyquake. The smoking Decepticon jet continued his crash dive towards the ground.
From the ground, Optimus watched as Skyquake landed nearby with an exploding bang. The burning jet skidded along the desert ground before coming to a stop a few feet away.
"Happy landings, 'Con," Fowler wished cockily.
Fowler flew his jet near the edge of the canyon so Bumblebee could jump off. Once Bumblebee was off of the jet, Fowler flew away. Bumblebee stood by the edge and observed the still-smoking remains of Skyquake. Eventually, he climbed down to meet up with Optimus and Primrose. Together, the three watched as the red optics of Skyquake went dark and his spark gave out.
"Had Skyquake chosen to stray from his master's path, we might not be burying him today," Optimus remarked.
Primrose stared at Skyquake's body and she clenched her fists tightly. Bumblebee glanced at her.
Soundwave and Echo watched the three Autobots from their spot on the canyons. Echo looked to Soundwave, a familiar look in her optics.
Soundwave only transformed into his aerial form and flew up into the air. Echo watched her brother for a moment and she looked back at the Autobots and Skyquake. She shut her optics tightly, holding back tears that threatened to form before she transformed into her aerial form and flew after Soundwave.
◊◊◊◊
"Bumblebee, putting yourself at risk was perhaps not the wisest of strategies. But you performed admirably," Optimus complimented Bumblebee after Ratchet finished checking him over for injuries.
Bumblebee bleeped to Optimus his thanks for the compliment as he stepped out of the chamber. Ratchet laughed gleefully as he heard the sounds of car horns from the hallway. Bulkhead and Arcee had returned with the kids. Jack and Paige hopped off of Arcee while Miko and Raf climbed out of Bulkhead and the two transformed into their bipedal forms.
"There you are! Well, how were my – I mean, our – projects received?" Ratchet asked eagerly.
"Well...," Raf trailed off.
◊◊◊◊
"Miss Nakadai, what planet would that be?" Mr Capizzi asked, referring to the model Miko displayed.
"Um...Cybertron?" Miko answered nervously.
Just as she answered the question, the metallic planet fell off the wire holding it up and rolled around the classroom, causing many kids to jump up in fear.
◊◊◊◊
"It's large, Mr Darby. But is it operational?" Mr Capizzi questioned nervously.
Jack hit the button and the machine went wild. It even left the classroom to terrorize the kids who were unfortunate enough to have free period at this time.
◊◊◊◊
"I hesitate to ask, Mr Esquivel. But is it active?" Mr Capizzi whimpered.
To answer his question, Raf pressed the button that activated the electrical volcano. It almost destroyed the entire school.
◊◊◊◊
"Well, on our planet, you would have been awarded the highest honor!" Ratchet snapped before walking away grumbling, "Absolutely no credit whatsoever."
"Speaking of highest honors," Arcee smirked as she glanced at Paige.
"Why are you guys looking at me?" Paige asked nervously.
"I don't believe it. My best friend has forgotten that she was awarded the highest grade in the entire school!" Jack exclaimed.
"WHAT?!" Ratchet screeched before promptly fainting.
"I only introduced and showed my painting and constellations and galaxies to the teachers," Paige said, blushing and smiling shyly, "especially my favorite constellation: Orion and Cassiopeia."
"So what are you guys going to do next year?" Primrose asked them with a smirk.
"They should've strayed from Ratchet's path," Bumblebee bleeped.
"Indeed, Bumblebee. Our human friends would have been wise to stray from Ratchet's path like Paige did," Optimus agreed.
"Hey. You made Ratchet faint! I LIKE THIS GIRL!" Bulkhead proclaimed, causing everyone except Optimus and Ratchet to laugh.
"What happened to your arm, Paige?" Optimus suddenly asked, noticing the white material covering Paige's arm.
"She was surprised by something and cut her arm with a pair of scissors," Jack said, "Aunt Tasha had to put some alcohol on it and wrap it up even more."
"What?!" Optimus exclaimed. "I'm okay," Paige quickly reassured him, placing her hand on his digit, "you're starting to act like my Mom."
Optimus only vented, blowing gentle and warm air against the girl, making her laugh and she hugged his digit.
After the events, Optimus gave Paige a lecture about safety and she half listened and half smiled at the Prime. She was thinking of the last night memory of her parents talking to her about her second planet and how it had become desolated when Cybertron became dark.
"So you met Orion Pax and Megatronus when you were at least my age?" Paige asked her dad curiously. Marcus chuckled and gave a small nod.
"I was at least twenty-one when the War started," Marcus said, "Orion Pax became Optimus Prime. And Megatronus became Megatron."
"So... what are we?" Paige asked, looking to her mom. Tasha smiled softly, "we're Galatrians. And we're very special Magic users. We got along with Cybertronians very well. At least... up until the War began. Galatrians, along with many other Magic users, were either captured or killed by Decepticons and many went into hiding or just disappeared."
"There were many Magic Users we had met just like your parents," Ratchet said, "there was one named Kaitlin Elisabeth Prime."
Paige blinked in surprise and she looked to Optimus who gave a solemn smile. "What was... what was she like? Did you meet her?" Paige asked.
Tasha and Marcus nodded. "We did. She was an amazing and brave Irilian. Even Megatron loved her and she loved him," Tasha said, hugging her daughter close, "and I bet she would've loved to meet you."
Paige smiled softly and she looked at her markings. "What magic can I do?" She asked curiously. "You can do what many Galatrians can do," Marcus chuckled, "your eyes may be light brown but when you use your powers, they change to ruby red. Those are your Galatrian eyes."
"Show us some magic Paigey!" Miko said excitedly. Paige smiled nervously before she closed her eyes in concentration. The markings glowed sapphire blue and apparitions of Sky Children appeared around the base.
Tasha chuckled and shook her head with amusement. Paige smiled softly as a Sky Child walked up to her and gave a happy musical sound.
Paige giggled happily and clapped her hands together with delight. Optimus smiled softly.
After Arcee, Bumblebee and Bulkhead took their charges home, Paige had fallen asleep on the couch and Tasha drove into the base, silently parking her truck on the side.
"Optimus?" Tasha called out, making the Prime and Ratchet look at her.
"Paige insisted on sleeping over tonight," Ratchet said. Tasha chuckled softly, "I see. I actually wanted to talk to you both."
"Of course," Optimus said as he knelt down in front of her.
"If Megatron was found by his... followers, is it possible that he knows about my family?" Tasha asked. "That will not happen," Ratchet said firmly.
Tasha looked over at the still sleeping Paige, "my daughter is no Kaitlin. She's no bright blue dragoness. She's no Valentine."
"Megatron may or may not know that," Optimus said, "he knows the history between you and him. He knows the history between him and your mother." Tasha gripped her arm tightly at the mention of her mother.
"I am not losing anyone else," Tasha said darkly, "I don't care what it takes. I will fight Megatron till my last breath."
"Let us not focus on that now," Optimus said firmly, "focus on your daughter. The only child you have ever brought into this Earth- she needs you."
"And she needs you," Tasha said firmly, placing her hand on Optimus' digit, "just as you will grow to need her." Marcus picked Paige up into his arms and walked over to the truck.
Tasha turned and walked after Marcus but she paused. "Optimus," she said, "no matter what happens... do not let Paige's darkness take a hold of her."
Optimus stared at her for a moment before he gave a small nod. With that, Tasha got into the truck and she drove out of the base.
◊◊◊◊
"The troops will be pleased to hear of our success in rushing Lord Megatron into stasis. Let us hope that our master pulls through," Starscream said. Echo stood in the medlab, staring at Megatron coldly.
Her leader was hooked up to life support cords. No matter what, she was going to guard her leader. Especially from Starscream.
◊◊◊◊
Starscream and Soundwave walked into the control bridge. Starscream paused when he saw a cloaked figure.
"Reveal yourself!" Starscream snapped, "Decepticons, attack!" The Vehicons didn't move an inch.
A dark chuckle came from the cloaked figure. "I'm surprised you think that they would follow your orders, Starscream," the voice said, "you truly have forgotten who I am."
The figure removed her cloak and Starscream widened his optics. A bright orange and white femme with yellow highlights turned to them, her fiery orange optics glowing.
"I have heard of Lord Megatron's... steady recovery," she said calmly, "and while he is in recovery, I shall lead the Decepticons... unless anyone has a problem with that."
Soundwave didn't say anything but the femme somehow knew his answer. The Vehicons in the control bridge stayed silent. Starscream's wings twitched and he lowered his helm.
The femme smirked and turned back to the large screens, clasping her servos behind her back.

Rad Trailer For Netflix's TRANSFORMERS: WAR FOR CYBERTRON TRILOGY
Tumblr media
There’s a new Transformers animated series coming to Netflix titled Transformers: War For Cybertron Trilogy and the first teaser trailer has been unleashed! It offers us our first look at the series and I think a lot of Transformers fans are going to like what this show has to offer!
Hasbro, Inc. produced the series alongside Rooster Teeth (RWBY, gen:LOCK) and the show “raises the stakes of the Autobot and Decepticon war with Chapter One having six, twenty-two minute episodes, complete with a new animation look and style that presents the Transformers bots like you’ve never seen them before.”
It’s explained that the story for the show “plunges us deep into events that live at the heart of this legendary franchise, with SIEGE shining a spotlight on a critical timeframe in Transformers history on Cybertron.” Here’s the synopsis that was shared:
Transformers: War For Cybertron Trilogy: Seige begins in the final hours of the devastating civil war between the Autobots and Decepticons. The war that has torn apart their home planet of Cybertron is at a tipping point. Two leaders, Optimus Prime and Megatron, both want to save their world and unify their people, but only on their own terms. In an attempt to end the conflict, Megatron is forced to consider using the Allspark, the source of all life and power on Cybertron, to “reformat” the Autobots, thus “unifying” Cybertron. Outnumbered, outgunned, and under SIEGE, the battle-weary Autobots orchestrate a desperate series of counterstrikes on a mission that, if everything somehow goes right, will end with an unthinkable choice: kill their planet in order to save it.
I’ll definitely be giving this show a shot! So far I like what I’m seeing in the trailer and it’s a different story than anything we’ve seen before. Transformers veteran F.J. DeSanto (Transformers: Titans Return, Transformers: Power of the Primes) is serving as showrunner on the series with several contributing writers, including George Krstic (Megas XLR), Gavin Hignight (Transformers: Cyberverse), and Brandon Easton (Agent Carter, Transformers: Rescue Bots).
Shuzo John Shiota, Polygon Pictures Inc. (PPI) President and CEO said in a statement:
“We’re thrilled to be working with Rooster Teeth, Netflix and Hasbro to bring this fan-oriented MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE story to life. The TRANSFORMERS universe has so many rich characters and engaging stories. Getting the opportunity to be part of the team bringing the robots in disguise to life in this new trilogy is unbelievable.”
Tom Warner, Senior Vice President for the TRANSFORMERS franchise for Hasbro added:
“The TRANSFORMERS brand is a global phenomenon with toys, consumer products, films, television shows, and literature, resonating with millions of passionate fans around the world," said Tom Warner, Senior Vice President for the TRANSFORMERS franchise for Hasbro. “This brand new Netflix series will add to the incredible slate of TRANSFORMERS offerings with a truly unique story that will delight both existing fans and those being introduced to the wonder of robots in disguise.”
Matt Hullum, Rooster Teeth co-founder and Chief Content Officer went on to say:
"TRANSFORMERS: WAR FOR CYBERTRON TRILOGY marks the inaugural production for our Rooster Teeth Studios division and we’re proud to be partnering with and entrusted by Hasbro and Netflix. As fans of these characters, it's been a joy bringing our storytelling and animation expertise to this project. This teaser trailer is just a taste of what’s to come in this series, and we can’t wait to see what the fans think, especially our Rooster Teeth community!"
The voice cast for the series includes Jake Foushee (Optimus Prime), Jason Marnocha (Megatron), Linsay Rousseau (Elita-1), Joe Zieja (Bumblebee), Frank Todaro (Starscream), Rafael Goldstein (Ratchet), Keith Silverstein (Jetfire), Todd Haberkorn (Shockwave, Red Alert), Edward Bosco (Ultra Magnus, Soundwave), Bill Rogers (Wheeljack), Sophia Isabella (Arcee), Brook Chalmers (Impactor), Shawn Hawkins (Mirage), Kaiser Johnson (Ironhide), Miles Luna (Teletraan I, Cliffjumper) and Mark Whitten (Sideswipe, Skywarp).
There are more details regarding Chapter Two, Transformers: War For Cybertron Trilogy: Earthrise and Chapter Three coming soon.

Don’t let me on kinkmemes, I steal the prompts, strip them down and rebuild them like the weirdest looking revved up hot-rods that only vaguely resemble their original purpose and kind of decidedly unsexy unless you’re into that sort of thing
In this our first installment: Jailbreaks, basic premise building, the Magnus Hammer, fighting, a sad lack of banter, more fighting, and Decepticon sedatives
“Decepticons! Transform and rise! UP!” Megatron roared, slamming one of his swords against his heavily plated forearm. He was met by answering screams and clangs, an unholy cacophony to rupture the usual foreboding silence over Trypticon prison. The pathetic Autobots swarming the area panicked like the ant-droids they were, looking for a leader and finding none. General Strika was quite thorough in that regard.
“Time estimate,” he barked into his comms, freshly restored to him.
“We require five breems to reroute the power to necessary areas,” Oil Slick reported, speaking over what sounded like a great deal of cursing in the background. “Possibly more. Why do the Autobots build so small?”
“Understood,” Megatron said. “Strika, status?”
“Holding,” she said. “All of their anti-aerial measures have been disabled, so we have far less to fear. Ground troops are scaring out any Autobots that remain within our perimeter while our fliers keep it clear.”
“Good,” Megatron said. “Is there anywhere you need me?”
Strika snorted. “Keep flying in plain sight and be a pretty figurehead. The troops have missed you, my lord, and if you get hit by a sniper it will be an excellent reminder to keep a look out.”
Megatron grinned. “So dismissive of Autobot warriors, still?”
“More that I am almost entirely certain that you are too stubborn to go offline any time soon,” Strika said. “You disappear for fifty solar cycles and return with the location of the Allspark, nearly take Omega Supreme for the Decepticon cause, and if nothing else you finally offlined Starscream. If you were to take a sniper shot to the cranium, I am convinced that you would come back with the ability to see the future, or talking to Unicron or some such nonsense, if it didn’t just bounce off that thick helmet of yours.”
Megatron barked out a laugh, although he kept a wary eye on the buildings that cut through the horizon. Since Trypticon was a fortress refurbished into a prison, it was surrounded largely by empty land, but you never knew. It was crawling itch in his plating to not know, but he was so familiar with the feeling that he was able to dismiss it with ease. Besides, he was finally free, out from his cramped cell and the ridiculous Autobot demands, back at his rightful place as leader of the Decepticons.
Back in control. Anything else was secondary.
“Movement! Airborne enemy mech, incoming!”
Well, nearly anything else.
A neat turn brought him to face the mech marked on his radar, distinctive red and blue not quite zipping through the skies, but moving at a good clip for being someone never designed for flight.
“General Strika,” Megatron purred, swinging his swords through a quick kata in warm up, “I do believe this one is mine.”
“Do not engage!” Strika snarled. “Our goal is extraction, not a rematch! You cannot-”
“Cannot what, General?” Megatron asked, speeding forward to meet the young Autobot. He heard Strika take a sharp invent and let it out with a hiss. She wouldn’t get the full effect of the dominant coding he was leaking everywhere like a new-sparked idiot over comms, but she would certainly know it was there.
“I ask,” she said carefully, “That you remember that we must return you home safely. Engage the puny Auto-scum if you must, but please pull back when we are ready to warp. Else I will shoot you out of the sky myself and drag you along the ground.”
He considered her proposal. It was tactically sound, after all, and submissive enough to please his frazzled coding. He could forgive the last line, as Strika herself had more highly dominant code than submissive, and he was no doubt putting her through a good deal of stress.
“Understood,” he said. “I will withdraw on your mark, General.”
Megatron spun through the sky, for no purpose other than the joy of flight and to revel in his new found freedom. It was also a semi-impressive looking maneuver that the Autobot in front of him wouldn’t be able to replicate without sending himself into an ungainly downwards spiral. He was only mildly disappointed that his opponent didn’t try to mimic him, instead keeping his approach simple and level.
“Optimus Prime,” Megatron said pleasantly once they were within audio range. “So glad you could join us for such a momentous occasion.”
The young Prime didn’t respond, choosing instead to glare over his battlemask, as if that were more intimidating than his attempts at banter. His grip on the Magnus Hammer shifted in preparation.
“Still depending on your toys?” Megatron asked with an indulgent smile. “Face it, Autobot,” he sneered, “Could you even defeat me on your own?”
Optimus’ expression didn’t change, nor did his posture.
“Very well then,” Megatron said. “Our actions will speak for us.” He raised his swords in preparation.
Optimus’s eyes flicked towards them, and he held up a hand, one finger extended.
Megatron stopped, nonplussed by the universal signal for ‘please wait, I am doing something right now’.
“Sentinel,” Optimus said, enunciating clearly, “I am here already. I am going to mute your comm channel now, so if you need to contact me, please do so through official channels. Give my regards to-” he paused, looking at Megatron. “Well. You know. Optimus, out.”
Optimus resettled himself in the air uncomfortably, wobbling slightly as he miscalculated his balance. “You were saying something, Megatron?” he said in the exact same neutral tone.
*
A too-small prison and officious Autobots leering at him for cycles had not been kind to Megatron. This was his moment of triumph and control, of proving that no puny Autobots could contain him, and to have this one in particular practically ignore him was simply the last strand to the fraying wire.
To the Pit with presentation. He roared in challenge as he ascended, and the heavens answered with thunder and lightning in return, crashing into Trypticon below. Strika’s plan must have been nearing completion, then, to elicit such a dramatic atmospheric reaction. Sparks danced across the ground below as his troops flinched, some trying to hide before correcting themselves, others almost gearing up for a fight they knew they wouldn’t win.
Anyone with dominant coding could issue a challenge as he just did; few could ever hope to match the sheer intensity and presence behind his. After all, most Cybertronians would never encounter a pure dominant code type in their very long day-to-day lives. Blitzwing’s Random face had laughingly described it as running into a steel wall when they were expecting clouds, and mechs reacted accordingly.
Except for Optimus Prime. He remained hovering, what little expression that was visible above his battlemask unchanged. Or, wait. There was a small twitch to his optics, one Megatron found himself sporting when Lugnut was feeling particularly obsequious.
Megatron dove at Optimus, awaiting an answering scream of challenge or defeat. Instead, the Autobot looped the Magnus Hammer in a long, crackling circle. His mask dropped to show his snarl, complete with pathetically blunt dentae.
“Slag off,” he growled, and threw back his head and howled. The Magnus Hammer sang with him in a hymn of thunderclaps as it practically pulled him through the air, encasing them both in a  corona of electricity. It was a sight to behold, but what held Megatron frozen was the compulsion behind it.
If pure dominant coding was rare, then it’s only match, indeed what possibly surpassed it in rarity, was a pure coded submissive.
This was not Optimus answering his challenge as an equal; this was Optimus denying his challenge any ground, unable to answer and not needing to as he flew through the storm, untouched, the Hammer itself serving as his leading partner, an avenging angel uncaring of such mortal squabbles.
It was beautiful.
It also hurt like the Pit, as the Magnus Hammer connected with Megatron’s side, crumpling plating and frying circuits. Megatron pinwheeled through the air like some sort of novice, trying to digest the last few kliks.
“My lord, we must go now!” Strika yelled over the comms as thunder crashed. “Before the build-up fries us!”
“Understood,” Megatron croaked, sparks crackling between his lips as they parted. “I may need some assistance disengaging.”
“It is already there,” Strika said, and Cyclonus dropped abruptly from the clouds, no engines running to give him away, and his foot slammed into the wings of Optimus’ jetpack. Yielding to physics, one snapped off entirely, and Optimus was sent spinning away, only barely retaining his grip on the Hammer.
“My lord,” Cyclonus said shortly, pulling up to hover beside Megatron. “Can you fly closer to the fortress unaided?”
“Yes,” Megatron snapped. “But I cannot transform at the moment.”
Cyclonus nodded. “Then I am sure the medical team will wish to see you,” he said neutrally. “Let us hurry.”
Megatron descended, thoughts whirring furiously. Cyclonus remained several feet back, field tucked below his plating, a nearly invisible presence even now. Megatron was uncertain how the mech even presented; it had never come up before, and he hadn’t seen the other’s reaction to his challenge or Optimus’ response. In calmer days, it wasn’t a problem. Today, it made him bristle.
He tucked those feelings away and stood straight as he landed, pain ignored for now. Strika looked him over critically, unfooled, but nodded approvingly anyways.
“My lord,” she said, field restrained and projecting as much submission as she was capable of. “As you command.”
“Decepticons,” Megatron said over comms, voice rough, “Let us return to our brethren with this piece of our home.”
Thunder boomed, rattling struts and shaking windows and so much lightning crashed into Trypticon that even those with specialized optics couldn’t see past the blinding light. When it all faded, Trypticon was simply gone, and the Decepticons with it.
Two flier remained, though. They drifted through a grid search pattern until they spotted what they were looking for, at which point the spiralled in to land practically on top of Optimus Prime in his crash crater.
“Optimus Prime, sir!” Jetfire said cheerfully. “Is good to be seeing you!”
“Less good to be seeing Decepticons are all gone,” Jetstorm said just as happily, leaning over to help Optimus stand.
“But is good, because Ultra Magnus is awake!” Jetfire said, looping one of Optimus’ arms over his shoulder.
“But is tricky, because we cannot be telling him about all of problems at once without relapse,” Jetstorm said as they started walking towards the city proper, dragging the Hammer behind them.
“We is thinking he maybe be mad at Commander ours, but not all problems his! Now some are yours,” Jetfire said.
“I’m glad I could help,” Optimus said flatly, faceplates stuck in a mullish expression.
“We be glad too!” the twins said together. “Happy times all around!”
“So very happy,” Optimus agreed dully as they made it past the cleared land around Trypticon and back into the Autobot friendly expanses of the planet-wide city, as marked by numerous posters reminding everyone to do their part with energon rationing, war-time production, constant vigilance for spies, and of course, to know your place in The Great Autobot Machine.
“Sir is not happy,” Jetstorm confided to Optimus.
“Sir thinks you are being disrespectful and forgetting own code,” Jetfire confirmed.
“Submissive glitch should not be making decisions like this!” Jetstorm said in a very bad impression of Sentinel’s voice.
“Cannot be thinking straight, not fit for duty!” Jetfire said with a slightly worse impression.
Optimus groaned. “I can walk, you know,” he told the two of them. “I’ll comm and Ratchet and-”
The twins shook their heads vigorously. “Who you think be sending us?” Jetfire demanded.
“Said he would be telling Sentinel we be goofing off at work if we did not come back with you and all pieces!” Jetstorm added indignantly.
“I’m missing a wing to my jetpack,” Optimus tried.
They gave him a pitying look and kept walking, and Optimus let himself be dragged along. Well. At least he had a medical excuse for why he couldn’t go see Sentinel Acting Magnus and Ultra Probably the Actual Magnus. His processor was already aching from Megatron’s over-the-top pompous ass dominant challenge, and he didn’t want to deal with more inane dominant posturing for the next stellar cycle.
--
“Optimus Prime,” Megatron began in a thoughtful tone, sitting on an examination chair in the med-bay, “is a pure submissive.”
General Strika, recognizing the tone, immediately turned and administered a Class F Decepticon Emergency Sedative by punching him the face and into unconsciousness.
“I am not dealing with him until I have had time to reunite with my consort and gotten our people back into some form of order,” she said, glaring at Scalpel, the doctor on duty. “See to it.”
Scalpel cackled and saluted. Dominant coding and command structure meant nothing in a Decepticon medbay if you got to the sedatives first.
~+~+~+~
An authorial aside note from my editing process that I liked way too much to delete entirely, goes where the asterisk (*) is
[The disrespect is fucking real, Megatron realized. He supposed his saving grace was that General Strika wasn’t here to point and laugh. Well fuck that.]

10 Questions Tag Game
tagged by @radioactivepeasant
1. How many projects/stories have you written/told?
Oh boy, umm.... well, published, I have 19 fics on my ff.net account, 12 of which are crossposted to AO3, with 4 exclusive fics on there. Plus all the fics in my oogle drive that have yet to be published. Umm, I’d guess around 30-40?
2. Do you ever have multiple WIPs at once?
My current projects are: The AllSpark Changed My Life Fictober The High and Noble Houses of Cybertron series Operation Pentecost (a Mass Effect Shepard Siblings AU)
And a couple various others that won’t see the light of day for a while, as well as a couple original story ideas. So, yeah, I have tons of WIPs
3.  What’s the first chapter book you remember reading?
Hmm, probably either the first Boxcar Children book, or a Juney B. Jones book. Or maybe Wolfgang Amadeus Mouse.
4. Do you listen to music while writing? If so, do you ever have specific playlists for specific projects?
I do sometimes, other times I don’t, either from forgetting or cause other people are around. I tried making specific playlists for fics, but it was troublesome, so now I just lump songs that remind me of my different fics into one playlist.
5. What is your favorite genre to write?
I really like doing domestic/slice of life fics and AUs, as well as drama/adventure/gen fics
6. Do you ever experiment with other styles or genres?
I’m trying to get better at writing romance, and AllSpark was an experiment in first person, which I enjoy a great deal.
7. What is your favorite line you’ve ever written?
umm.... You want me to read through my fics and find it?
Off the top of my head, I guess it’s:
At the end of the story, Roselight’s optics had dimmed and she was yawning. “I love that story.”
“And why is that?”
“Because it’s all true. Every bit. Especially me.” She smiled and Optimus smiled back.
It’s just so... daawww!
8. Summarize your favorite scene you’ve ever written in any of your works:
The entirety of “Tuck Me In”: Optimus is reading on a datapad when his and Nightingale’s daughter Roselight comes up for bedtime, he takes her to her room, they say their prayers, then he tucks her in and tells her the story of him and Nightingale falling in love, then she falls asleep and he watches her for a few minutes before leaving and talking wit Nightingale.
It’s just adorable and fluffy, ad even I squeal after rereading it.
9. Do you find editing a daunting prospect? Please tell me I’m not the only one.
I don’t usually edit my fics beyond letting my sis go Grammar Nazi on them, but I am planning on starting an original novel in the next couple years, and that will be very daunting to edit.
10. Do you ever draw or doodle the characters in your story to help you visualize a scene?
I can not draw, so sadly no. I do, however, go into a visualization mode in my head, trying to see how it would work out like it was a movie.
Okay, now my turn to tag and ask. @crazyfanatic97, @catsafarithewriter, @tcrmommabear, @nanenna, and anyone else who want to do this.
1. What was your first story idea for your current most active fandom?
2. This or That: Writing on paper or digital; Writing long fics or one shots; Reading long fics or one shots; Close to canon fics or wildly AU fics?
3. How many OCs do you have? (Fanfiction and Original Works combined)
4. Favorite book from elementary school? Middle school? High school?
5. What was the last song you listened to (and can you leave a link please)?
6. What was your first completed story about (and can you link please)?
7. Do you collect things (toys, mugs, clothing, etc) for your fandoms?
8. What pets do you have (and can I see them?)
9. The items closest to your left and right hands have combined into a magical weapon for you to quest with. What were they and what is the weapon?
10. Share the last sentence you copy-pasted.

wada sez: This strip expands on the events of “The Agenda”, in which the Tripredacus Council sends covert agent Ravage to prehistoric Earth to apprehend rogue Predacon Megatron, without the Maximals finding out. The use of the word “agenda” in dialogue, and Ravage’s final remark, are both in reference to that three-parter. The strip particularly focuses on tying Beast Wars to Generation 1, showing a deceased Soundwave, but wisely doesn’t link it specifically to the Sunbow or Marvel continuity. As seen in “The Agenda”, Ravage’s lingering loyalty to the original Megatron ends up influencing his decisions. See below for the original art and close-ups.

wada sez: Cannonball is a fan-favourite toy-only character from the tail end of the Transformers: Cybertron line, a redeco of Red Alert. The redeco drew inspiration from the fact that Red Alert’s left hand was a gun, with options for a claw or hammer attachment, analogous to a pirate’s hook—this comic’s anticlimax hinges on how minor an issue this kind of injury is for a robot. Cannonball’s only role in fiction at the time came with the Timelines prose story “The Dark Heart of Sandokan”, written by Ben Yee and released earlier in 2007. He later had minor appearances in the Aligned novels, before getting a bigger role as part of the “Tornado - Decepticon Saboteur” Facebook feature created as a tie-in to the BotCon 2014 comic, “Hoist the Flag”, which in turn promoted Cannoball’s convention-exclusive toy. Here, Cannonball’s crewmember, Hooligan, is a virtual redeco of the Cybertron Sideways toy, with a colour scheme loosely based on the Generation 2 Cyberjet by that name. Their boat looks like it might a virtual redeco of Tidal Wave—if so, it predates the official media establishing the Tidal Wave as being Cannonball’s ship—with an original insignia evoking a skull-and-crossbones. I don’t recognise the captain seen in flashback; it might be a generic design. It’s apparent that they’re sailing on the Rust Sea, a common geographical feature on Cybertron, which originated as an offhand bit of worldbuilding in Marvel UK Transformers comic’s “Grim Grams” letters page feature, in issue #162.

wada sez: This Override spotlight is chock-full of cameos, which are mostly obscured by the text, miscoloured, or block-coloured—I’ve only identified them thanks to a comment left by the artist on deviantART. Metal Sonic’s in there somewhere. Most notably, this comic cameos the Cybertron redecos of the Street Speed Mini-Con Team, which never appeared in official fiction. Swerve’s only appearance in official fiction was in “The Dark Heart of Sandokan”, released early in 2007—this comic recasts him as a reporter, rather than the underground racer described in his original profile. Based on the events of the Cybertron cartoon, Override would only “trade it all to do something [...] more meaningful” after being impressed by the Autobots’ heroism, and Hot Shot’s speed—prior to that, she really is just totally fixated on winning races, but kudos to this strip for trying to inject any amount of pathos to that arc.

wada sez: Visually very much grounded in the Sunbow cartoon, this strip shines a spotlight on Trailbreaker’s characterisation from his original Bob Budiansky profile. The Stunticons are seen driving into the distance in Panel 6, the fight already over by the time Trailbreaker catches up.

wada sez: This comic delves into Thundercracker's conflicted loyalties, which originate in his initial profile, written by Jim Shooter or Denny O'Neil—but intended for fellow seeker Starscream! Bob Budiansky reassigned the personality to Thundercracker, but it was never actually explored in official fiction until 2008's All Hail Megatron series, which obviously post-dates this strip. The artwork is obviously Sunbow-inspired, but tonally it’s much darker than that cartoon ever was, so seems more like a nonspecific Generation 1 continuity.

Transformers: Mosaic #26 - "Chasing The Cards"
Originally posted on October 28th, 2007
Story, Art - Matt Marshall Colours, Letters - Mark Kuggeleijn
deviantART | Seibertron | TFW2005 | BotTalk
wada sez: This strip is written in verse, in keeping with Wheelie’s iconic speech quirk, though obviously it applies an edgy twist to the character. Daytonus is based on the 2001 Robots on Disguise character, but Mark Kuggeleijn has swapped the toy’s orange for gold—likely as a result of a washed-out photograph of the toy from the old days of the wiki, which can still be seen on the FANDOM wiki! Wheelie snidely notes that “Throttlebots have no feet”, in reference to the original toys’ gimmick-compromised articulation. The playing cards cast Optimus Prime as the King of Diamonds, and Hot Shot as a Jack. This strip, and his later strip “Duel”, were the only strips written by Marshall to be omitted from his later zine collection, Tales From The Matrix Keeper; my assumption is that Marshall was dissatisfied with his own artwork, as that’s the only thing they have in common. See below for Marshall’s original lineart.
