Prompt: Protection
More specifically, this prompt I can’t tag the author of:
The Outpost wasn't going to be a pleasant experience considering the reports, they just didn't know how unpleasant it would be.
Excerpt:
Milo took out one piece of the pod away, turned it around in his hand and gently put it down next to him. He was sitting cross-legged and bunched over the opened panel of the healing pod, inspecting it to find out why it wasn’t working anymore.
He’d used the opportunity to also do a maintenance check on the rest of the components. Or Thaska assumed, as he was looking at the humanoid work from the comfort of the couch.
It was pretty lucky they noticed before anybody needed urgent care.
…It was also pretty lucky nobody had to get in it during the past week, considering they were still drifting through a pretty dangerous part of the system. Thankfully, aside from Milo’s dislocated arms, and the few bumps in the ride here and there, there had been no other major problem.

A commission I finished for a guildie. The picture is of...well...guildies! The two fighting blood elves are Palablood and Halflight. The troll druid is Rahato, and the goblin priest (the client) on his back is Minidrood. Our guild master, Mucc, sits in the back on the right side. Thaska, the hunter, is peeking at the camera/viewer.
This took a LOT of time. But I’m very proud of the result! I hope you guys like it too! I even included detail shots of everyone.

The cavalcade, which was taking the mortal remains of Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa (52) to Anandpur Sahib via Amritsar, reached the city on Saturday. Bhai Gurbaksh Singh, who had been demanding the release of Sikh radicals and was lodged in jail, despite completing his jail term, had committed suicide on March 21 by jumping off a water tank from his native Thaska Ali village in Kurukshetra. A cavalcade of about 50 vehicles passed from the district and the foremost vehicle had Bhai’s remains which were kept for people to have a look at the activist’s remains. Activists said while it was his wish that this remains be taken for the darshan of the three takhts, they added that while the Harayana government did not allow them that, Bhai’s remains were now being taken to Amritsar from where they shall be taken to Anandur Sahib. They said if the cavalcade reached Anandpur Sahib on Saturday then the ashes would be immersed. They said the demands for which Bhai struggled throughout his life stay put and they should be reiterated by his followers – the Sikh prisoners undergoing punishment in jail should be freed after their jail term was over. Notably, Khalsa had begun his 44-day hunger strike at a Mohali-based gurdwara in 2013. While he ended his strike after government’s assurances on December 27, 2013. He resumed his hunger strike on November 14, 2014 after his demands remained unmet. His demands still remain unheeded by the previous and present governments of the state.

Prompt: Obsessive/Creepy Stalker/Captor
Milo's old map breaks, and wedges tensions within the group.
Excerpt:
Thaska and Zeph looked over the list of supplies they still needed to pack on the ship before leaving. This planet was the last stop before entering a more dangerous system, and they didn’t want to risk landing on a hostile planet if they could help it. And if they really had to, they preferred having extra bandages and maybe a battery or two for the healing pods.
They both were distracted by attempting to decipher’s Milo cryptic handwriting when they heard an alarmed, strangled sound next to them.
Turning around, they saw Milo holding onto his round map tightly. He kept pressing buttons, but it didn’t light up, and its broken holographic screen didn’t fizzle to life like it usually did.
“It finally died, huh?” Zeph asked, leaning on the bench towards his friend to look at the old thing. It was full of scratches and had functioned for way longer than it should have already. The avian patted Milo’s thigh to console him. “Well, it had a good run!”

Excerpt:
When somebody knocked three times at his door, Thaska calmly put away the report he was writing for Home Base and switched it to one of the Reign’s latest missions recaps he still had to look over. He glanced at his desk to make sure nothing would be out of place — nothing ever was — and looked at the door.
“Come in,” he said, straightening up in his seat.
Whoever was coming at this time of the day cycle must either have been bearing important news that needed immediate action — and possible tempering with from Home Base — or it was-
“Hi Officer Stíraldi,” the person behind the door said with a sing-song voice.
