An ancient case in Finnish:
Terminative (Terminatiivi)
Terminative expresses an idea of going somewhere but not exceeding that place. (Think: to the end, to the edge)
Today, this case is indicated with the word saakka. However, in history this was done with a suffix: -ni (which is still used in Estonian!)
So “Talolle saakka, merelle saakka, kotiin saakka, loppuun saakka” would become “Taloni, mereni, kotini and loppuni”!
It’s a shame this one isn’t used anymore. Saying “saakka” is too tiring. Let’s revive the terminative case!

Accusative (Винительный) -for direct objects, i.e. when a verb doesn't need any preposition to take an object (Я вижу + Acc; I see her - her is in the accusative case in English)
Instrumental (Творительный) - for tools, instruments, changes of conditions or status (to become...), comparisons, and more. Sometimes similar, but not identical to English by/ with
Prepositional (Предложный) - for locations, also for a topic of conversation or thoughts. Similar but not identical to English "about".

This is a very brief lesson on Russian case system, and you might need to explore this grammatical topic more thoroughly. I'll be happy to assist you with that, if you decide to become my student.
